AN: This is it! Finale of the Endymion Arc!
Oh right, if you noticed I added to Arcs in the chapter section. So, yay?
Ready for more nonsense from yours truly?
Chapter 52: Endymion
Waking up earlier than usual, I told Ruiko I was skipping class today. She whine about it, but I did point out how high my grades were.
Asking me why I won't be at Sakugawa today, I simply told her this.
"Arisa needs her bodyguard today and today's a big day for her."
She looked so excited and envious about the fact the next concert was at the space elevator.
However it was mostly true.
Like I was going to tell her, I'm meeting up with Stiyl today.
I'm wondering how he got my number.
"So you made it?" the mentioned magician's eyes slightly widened at my arrival,
"Prefer to be a few minutes early." I yawned and waved,
None of the witches were with him.
"I expected more of you guys." I commented,
"The girls? Yeah not waking them up this early." he replied,
I simply giggled at his words.
"Sheesh Stiyl making me wake up this early!"
Turning around I gasped at the tired looking Tsuchimikado Motoharu.
"Oh it's been a while Akami!" Tsuchimikado grinned towards me,
Wait how does an esper like him knew about this magician.
"Likewise." I nodded,
"Any crazy adventures lately?" he asked me,
"Plenty enough." I answered,
He kept the grin and raised an eyebrow towards Stiyl.
"So you called me to talk with Meigo Arisa's bodyguard?" he wondered, "Or to talk to the only Sister who's fully aware of the magicians?"
"I thought you're an esper?" I asked him,
I thought of all the possibilities and theories on how did Tsuchimikado knew Stiyl.
One odd memory connected with me.
"Hybrid." my eyes widened at the realization,
Now the real question.
A magical esper or scientific magician?
"Wow." was the hybrid's reaction,
"Heard how you can come up with accurate theories and guesses." Stiyl lit a cigarette up,
That's one way to say it.
"So Stiyl are you implying dear Akami here figured out Ladylee?" Tsuchimikado asked him,
"Most of it." he said, "Just Akami here doesn't know who she worked for."
She had a private security force. I thought Ladylee would be by herself.
"She's gone rouge from our side." Stiyl sighed, "Ladylee Tanglelord was a Greek oracle back then and she specialized in astrology."
So a supposed future seer and star watcher.
Wait that meant she was born way before than I expected.
"Ancient Greece?!" I wondered, "I would think she'd be, at best, born around the medieval times."
"Akami even figured out she was immortal!" Tsuchimikado looked entertained,
"And we know, she's using Endymion as a weapon that can cause global destruction." I added,
"I can see why Maya highly praises you all the time." Tsuchimikado gave me a smile,
Was it me or did that smile made him look like a cat?
"Tell us what you know." Stiyl finally returned to the topic,
It's what I did. I explained my theory about Ladylee's death seeking habits and space was the latest way for her to die. I also told how I figured out her immortality.
"Her eyes?" Tsuchimikado raised an eyebrow,
"Eyes are souls to the window." Stiyl commented,
Anyways, I showed the picture with her at Paris.
"Definitely her." our fire magician nodded,
That's one theory actually confirmed to be true.
"Spot on." the hybrid grinned, "Man if you didn't work for Maya, I would've recommended you to be my partner for info or something!"
That's a compliment, right?
Shaking my head, I realized we still didn't have a plan.
"So what's the plan Stiyl?" I asked him,
"It's either destroy Endymion or your friend." he sighed, "Obviously choice two is a no-go."
Definitely.
"Choice one is a risk since I'm gonna be there along with Arisa." I pointed out,
Not the building and the person, then what?
!
"How about the spell itself?" I asked, "We could get Touma involved. I know he's willing to help."
"Kami-yan is always willing to help anyone." Tsuchimikado pointed out, "But good idea Akami! Choice three it is!"
Looking at the space elevator, I was curious about something.
"The elevator has to be fully destroyed to stop the spell?" I asked them,
"It has to be connected to the ground to function." he told me,
Connected to the ground?
"That means we can disconnect it then." I said, "It's a building, so it has to have a foundation you can destroy."
"And how are we supposed to keep it from falling?" Stiyl asked, "We save the world but so many people will die, from above and below."
Dammit.
"The spell triggers how?" I asked,
"Arisa's singing." Tsuchimikado replied, "Her singing will trigger it."
That's doable.
"I can work with that." I smirked,
"How exactly?" Stiyl wondered, "You said you want to help your friend even if it meant letting her sing, but it will trigger the spell."
"If Arisa's the source of this spell then she can manipulate the spell for us." I explained, "Ladylee might have control, but it's from Arisa. So I believe we can possibly turn the spell against her."
"Not impossible, but difficult." Stiyl told me,
"Not a bad plan." Tsuchimikado nodded, "Looks like you'll need Kami-yan and Index then."
Of course!
Index has to know something about these types of spells. Her head is filled with those kinds of the books.
"In the end, the plan is to send those two to deal with something magical right?" I wondered, "Sempai can nullify the spell, but Index has to point him in the right direction."
"That sums it up!" the blonde nodded,
Looking at the elevator, once again, I simply sighed at he inevitable.
"Time for the concert of a lifetime." I said,
...
Meeting up with Arisa, Proto and Ichiroku we went into the space elevator district.
One thing stood out though.
"What's this?" I gestured to a huge suitcase,
"Stage equipment." Ichiroku replied,
When the security team asked my brother about it, he answered the same way.
Proto looked eager about it.
I glanced at Arisa for any hints about the contents of the suitcase.
She just shrugged.
Our singer had no idea as well.
Looks like the two of us were in the dark with what's in the suitcase.
"So you finally made it."
We all turn around to see Ladylee along with two escorts.
One of them I immediately recognized from one of the more recent visions. He was the guy that almost blew up the mall during the photoshoot.
He wasn't human. The moment Touma's Imagine Breaker made contact with him, that man lost a part of his body. It's like his entire body was made out of magic or something.
Ladylee had two of them.
"Arisa, please come with me." Ladylee requested with an eerie smile,
"Let's go." Arisa told us,
Strange, I thought Ladylee would to talk to Arisa alone. Instead she wanted us to be there as well.
The elevator was something. It was traveled significantly fast yet it was comfortable.
"Arisa do you know your so called bodyguards?" Ladylee suddenly asked at the supposed quiet elevator ride,
"There my friends." she simply stated with a smile,
I noticed Ladylee's grin turning sadistic.
"Did you hear about a once prominent experiment called the Level 6 Shift?" Ladylee asked,
No!
She wouldn't!
Proto and Ichiroku tensed up as well.
"What is it?" Arisa asked her,
"Arisa!" I wanted to get her attention,
Yet Ladylee's servants held us at knifepoint since I felt something sharp behind me.
Arisa turned around to see us in our unfortunate predicament.
"What are you-"
"Clones were substantially used as sacrificial lambs to the strongest esper." Ladylee interrupted Arisa, "Clones of the third strongest in Academy City."
"Misaka?" Arisa wondered,
"She was tricked into giving her DNA as a donation to help those who can barely move." Proto finally spoke,
"Wait that voice." Arisa seemed to realize it,
I felt my wig being taken off. Proto's helmet was removed. My glare was the automatic response.
"Misaka?!" Arisa gasped, "Two of yo-No, you're clones."
"Artificial humans meant to die." Ladylee smirked
She gestured to me and Proto like we were experiments to her.
I felt my blood boiling.
"And this?" Ladylee gestured to Ichiroku, "Is just an abomination."
I never thought I would really want to to kill he person in front of me as badly as her.
It was worse than the scientist team that murdered my sisters.
"I'm a male clone of Misaka Mikoto." Ichiroku stated with a sigh, "People tried to play god and they got what they deserved."
Arisa gave all of us a good look.
"So all of you are Misaka's clones?" Arisa asked us with teary eyes,
She looked hurt.
"We never meant to deceive you Arisa." I frowned at the doubt, "Not exactly a simple thing to say I'm a clone of someone right?"
Arisa's face was filled with empathy.
"My earliest memories are in that spaceplane, so a part of me knew I wasn't exactly human." Arisa told us, "You guys know it too, right?"
All of us were quiet.
"Sorry." Proto's quietly apologize,
Arisa simply gave us a smile.
She forgave us.
Ladylee gestured to her servants.
I just realized the elevator stopped.
"Leave them here." Ladylee ordered the two,
All three of us were push foward. The huge case was given to us as well.
"Leave them to their fate, here." the immortal went on,
This looked like one of the lower decks or the bottom floor of a facility.
"Everyone!" gasped Arisa,
The elevator went up while we stayed down here.
Mechs started to appear all around us.
Black Crow set up an ambush.
"It will be a mess." sighed Ichrioku,
"Wohoo, I get to use this badboy!" grinned Proto at the suitacase,
We took cover at a nearby pillar.
It was strange, Shutaura's specialized vehicle wasn't there.
It was a just a couple of those standard weaponize bikes, like the one I obtained.
"To think Shutaura would willingly cause chaos within Academy City!" one of them shouted,
What?
The Black Crows had defectors?
"He sounds familiar." Ichiroku told me,
Huh?
Proto was busy setting something up.
"Based on your memories, it seems like Crow 9 did not defect with Shuataura." Ichiroku observed, "Looks like some are just too loyal to the concept of order they would willingly turn against their unit commander."
That's still loyalty.
Loyalty to a belief instead of a person.
That's interesting from a philosophical perspective.
"Any plans bro?" I asked Ichiroku,
"Proto has one." he simply stated,
"It is complete!" my sister yelled with excitement, '"Misaka announces with enthusiasm!"
What.
The.
Hell.
Is.
That.
How did I put it simply?
A BFG.
It was emitting electricity around the edges.
!
Don't tell me.
"An actual railgun?" I asked,
"Yes!" Proto grinned, "Misaka grins excitedly!"
There were wires connected to the gun, like chargers to an electrical device.
A part of me was excited, but I realized the difficulty of bringing that around.
"A Sister would require plenty of these batteries, but the difference between level 3 and level 4 is all what it takes!" Proto excitedly explained,
Proto aimed the railgun at the bikes with an eager grin.
"Cover me!" she told us,
Ichiroku and I gave each other affirmed nods and splited up.
The bikes started to move around us.
If I only had a gun.
These bikes were staying at a higher elevation and they had an angle advantage.
Their guns started to go off.
All I could think of was forming polarity shields and returning the bullets back at them.
It worked for a while until-
"You're the damn brat that almost got me killed!" Crow 9 cursed at me, "I'm gonna teach you a lesson. You should've killed me when you had the chance!"
The old me would've gladly killed him. It's bad timing honestly. The one life I decided to spare, based on that situation, came to bite back.
Then a large beam pierced the bike!
That was the railgun, an actual gun that shoots electromagnetic particles.
Not the ability, but a weapon.
"Take that stupid-stupid crow!" Proto stuck her tongue out, "Misaka childishly sticks her tongue out at the wreck vehicle!"
Proto was very excited, despite the grim situation.
Ladylee practically kidnapped Arisa. There's some sort of split between the Black Crows. All three of us were in a deadly ambush.
"Not hard to control at all."
Proto and I turned around to see Ichiroku driving one of Black Crow vehicles.
"Though I believe Proto will be more familiar with these controls." he gestured for her to take his spot,
Proto grin's got wider then her eyes widened.
"Oh crap that's right!" she shouted,
It's like she realized something.
Taking out her phone, she called someone.
Wait, how?
Satellite?
Was there wifi here?!
It's Academy City there's always a way to find a solution through science.
"Here." Proto gave me her phone,
The moment I put it on my ear-
"Otomi I love you!"
Maya yelled with total excitement.
"I can't believe you were able to get these badboys!" our field leader told me, "Proto told me the whole story. Glad to know you guys are doing your duty."
Something tells me there's more to this.
"Can't believe you guys did all the work, even ours." Maya sighed with a tone of disappointment, "You guys are pretty much in the zone where you should stop that older-than-she-looks chick."
Oh right, Maya's group was meant to stop any sort of citywide damage.
Unless-
!
Of course!
"Maya I got a feeling Ladylee will use this tower to destroy Academy City." I told her,
"Your gut is mostly right, Otomi so how do we stop it?" she requested,
Absolute trust.
I felt a smile forming.
"From your end, you can destroy the foundation without collapsing the tower." I answered,
It was part of the discussion with Stiyl and Tsuchimikado earlier this morning.
Possible, but difficult.
"Looks like that's in our end to figure out, huh?" Maya realized the difficulty of such a task,
I gave her an affirmation.
"In your end, you have to stop Ladylee from whatever plan she's trying to do, right?" guessed Maya,
"In a nutshell." I confirmed her guess,
Maya said her goodbye and I gave the phone back to Proto.
"So what's the plan onee-sama?" she asked me,
More of Ladylee's Black Crow units appeared. They had infantry support.
"Looks like we'll deal with these thugs." scoffed Ichiroku, "Nee-san please save Arisa."
Looks like that's the plan.
Looking at the elevator, it was still closed.
"Pftt, easy." Ichiroku smirked,
Simply touching the pad, the elevator opened and I entered it right away.
"Easy to manipulate machinery." he bragged,
Looking at me with a small smile, Ichiroku said this to me.
"Proto and I can handle these fools."
"Yes come at me! Misaka declares as she aims her railgun towards her unfortunate targets!"
Then the doors closed.
The elevator was moving faster than normal.
My phone went off.
"Otomi I heard you're at Endymion along with Arisa."
Touma.
"Yeah and I'm going to save her." I told him,
We're they gonna come and help.
Touma and Index would be invaluable in this situation.
"Don't worry, me and Index are on the way!" he told me, "For now, just find Arisa and keep her safe!"
Were they planning to sneak towards the facility?
There's another way.
Yet, it's a low probability.
No.
They wouldn't.
Would they?
"How exactly are you going to get here senpai?" I asked him, "Endymion isn't exactly a anyone can enter kinda place."
"We got a spaceplane here." he simply answered,
They actually are!
Never thought Touma and Index would use a spaceplane to get here.
"Alright astronaut." I chuckled, "You gotta tell how flying in space feels after all of this is over."
"Gotcha, see you soon Otomi." Touma replied back,
The elevator finally stopped.
The moment it opened, guns started to go off.
I quickly took cover from the side.
There were automated defenses at this floor.
"Is this the right area?" I wondered,
My phone went off and an image was sent to me.
It was from Rina.
It was a map of the entire Space Elevator!
This would come in handy.
"Make sure to not cause too much damage." I read a little note at the bottom,
I simply smiled at the support.
Apparently I was a floor above the auditorium.
What was that saying?
Out of the fire into the frying pan?
It meant from one bad situation to another similar one, yes?
"Take her out!"
Black Crow units were waiting for me.
Luckily for me, I was hiding on the side.
"Is she even there?" one of them wondered,
"Nade it." the leader ordered,
"But sir!"
"Now!"
The moment I heard the ping, I revealed myself. I quickly shot an electric blast at the grenade and everyone around that man quickly died.
The remaining soldiers were dazed from the sudden explosion.
To think these guys were willing to damage this place.
I noticed how long the catwalk was. Plus it was a long way down.
Whoever was left, I threw them off the catwalk.
Was it brutal?
Yes.
Did I hear their screams?
Yes.
Do I regret it?
Not at all.
"Tch." was my only response from what I did,
Going forward, I tried to open the door.
This had to be a way to the auditorium.
It was locked.
I smashed the door to vent my frustration.
"You're not going anywhere!" a certain crow shouted at me,
Never thought I would hear such frustration from her.
Her usual stoic expression was filled with absolute rage. She was aiming her gun right at me.
"It's all your fault!" Shutaura screamed,
?
"What?" was my automated response,
"Thanks to you!" she yelled, "Thanks to you the Black Crows have split! There's defectors from my unit!"
How was I the cause?
"All thanks to Crow 9's doubts and what that damn girl ordered me to do!" she went on,
"You could've just said no." I replied,
I felt a wind next to me ear.
Turning around there was a bullet hole at the wall.
"I can see why a part of the group left." I stated despite the situation, "Your motto is about order, but you don't look so orderly at the moment."
Shutaura took a few deep breaths and glared harder than before.
"Besides, my group took care of most of your traitors." I smirked, "Especially that Crow 9."
Shaking her head, Shutaura looked conflicted.
"It's a miracle just to make this far, you know?" I chuckled,
I, unknowingly, triggered her.
Not the gun, but a word provoked her.
"A miracle?!" she snapped, "Are you kidding me?!"
She really hated that word.
Recalling what I knew about her, Shutaura Sequenzia was there at the spaceplane incident. Her father, Daedalus, was the pilot.
Daedalus was reported missing, but I knew better.
He died saving them.
"Wasn't it a miracle when your father saved everyone all those years ago?" I dared ask her,
Arisa appeared when the miracle occurred.
Plus she did love that word, miracle.
!
Call me crazy, since I've watched plenty of these kinds of shows, but what if Arisa was the manifestation of Shutaura's miracle. As in, Arisa was a part of Shutaura.
Perhaps, Shutaura, literally, threw her miracle out herself.
Wait a minute.
I could just-
I'm a fool.
Why not just her memories?
I sighed and smiled towards her.
"What's with the smile?" she asked with a raised eyebrow,
I approached her with my arms up.
"Don't come any closer!" she yelled and aimed the gun at me,
I ignored her instructions and got closer.
Before she could fire her gun, I quickly disarmed her.
She seemed surprised by the sudden action.
I honestly thought she would have the advantage within CQC. She looked like it.
Maybe, my confusing actions caught her off guard. Like she thought I wasn't insane enough to do something like this.
Yet, I did.
Anyways, I was able to explore her sea of memories.
The incident happened a long time ago.
Looking through a younger Shutaura's eyes, I saw people panicking due to the alarms going off. She turned to the left and the wings was on fire!
Screams were heard all around and the copilot was running away.
"Please, I'll sacrifice everything precious to me. Please work a miracle for everyone."
Those were Shutaura's prayer as the plane kept going.
Her eyes slowly close, but I saw a familiar person appearing.
Her singing voice was very familiar.
Arisa.
"Get away from me!"
Reality hit me, figuratively and literally, as Shutaura pushed me with so much force I fell down. She quickly took her gun back and ran away.
I heard the elevator moving.
She left the scene.
I got back up only to be greeted by two familiar faces.
"Otomi!" Index approached me, "Are you alright?"
"Glad to know you're here." Touma smiled,
They arrived.
"I'm fine Index." I returned the smile, "Ditto to you too sempai."
Both gave out sighs of relief.
"Otomi you know the spell that is being casted?" asked Index,
"All I know is that spell will kill everyone in this station." I answered,
Touma gave out a nod.
"Anywhere we should look?" asked Touma,
Checking the map Rina gave me, I showed it to the two.
"Maybe the core room." Index told us, "It has a large enough space and it is the center of this tower."
Made sense.
"You're the magic expert." I nodded, "You guys can handle that from here?"
Both nodded at my question.
"Keep Arisa safe." Touma patted my shoulder,
"You know me." I chuckled,
Touma and Index left as quickly as they arrived.
My phone went off, again.
"Onee-sama we finally finished our problems here!" Proto declared,
Those two took out an entire group of Black Crow units.
Impressive.
Then again, I expected it.
"Just regroup with me." I replied back,
Once we're all together, Proto gave me another update on what's happening below us.
"We're gonna have to damage control when that fire magician plan's happens." she told me,
Maya and her group were assisting Mikoto with whatever problem was happening down there. They reported a battalion of Black Crow units and plenty of mobile weapons. One of them was Shutaura's personal vehicle, which was in autopilot.
I'm not surprised, Maya wanted to disable it and not destroy it.
The more important news was Anti-Skill was gathering volunteers to take out the explosive bolts beneath the massive elevator.
"Get down!" Ichiroku yelled,
He pushed us down and a few Black Crow were floating?
Wait what?!
"Looks like the low gravity field just hit this floor." chuckled Proto, "Or maybe we're just instinctively using our powers to stay aground."
I didn't even realize that.
Weren't those the Black Crow I threw out of the ledge?
This time I will finish it.
Taking one of the remaining guns, I quickly dispatched the soldiers with well aimed shots.
"Nice shot." Proto complimented,
To be fair, those guys were open targets. Plus using a bit of spark to increase the bullet velocity will help make hit the marks easier.
Before we can discuss our next move, the whole station started to shake tremendously.
It's far more severe than the one during the mall.
"What they hell?!" Ichiroku voiced out complaints,
One of the floors had a see through glass, I checked what's beneath us.
"Arisa!" I yelled,
There she was, in her concert outfit, with a scared audience.
"Damn this doesn't look too good." I shook my head,
I'm going to break this glass and help Arisa out.
"Allow me." Ichiroku gestured to the glass, "Breaking that will scare those people more, let me cut it with precision."
Taking out one of his knives, my brother extended the sharpness with his electricity. He cut the glass like it was cake. Then he removed the glass gently.
At the corner of my eye, Proto put her helmet back on. She handed me my wig.
"Always keep a spare" she said,
Thankfully, Maya did provide identical wigs and told me about the dangers of losing them. It's a shame my first wig was, officially, lost thanks to that supposed immortal. Yet, at the end of the day, it's just an item easily replaceable.
"Now, we go." he told us,
All of us jumped down to the auditorium.
We fell right in front of our friend.
From a different perspective, it would looked like we're rescuing her.
"Everyone!" Arisa gasped at me sudden appearance, "You're all okay!"
"What did you expect?" Proto smirked,
I was awed by the size of this room. It was bigger than the earlier concerts done the past week.
I could hear people voicing their worries.
"Looks like another job for Arisa's unofficial bodyguards, right?" I turned to her with a smile,
Arisa smiled back.
"Yes, please help our audience to safety." she told us,
"Of course." I nodded,
For some strange reason, I had an urge to tell Arisa something.
"You look good in that." I stated,
"T-Thanks." she responded,
With a scared audience, I don't think they're willing to follow instructions in a non-panicking state.
"We have to calm the audience down." I told Arisa,
There were children in the audience. As in, people physically younger than me.
We had to ease them.
"Otomi, shall we have a duet?" she offered her hand,
I took the hand and smiled.
"Of course." I nodded,
Arisa gave me a headset. Despite the damaged stages, the speakers still worked. Looks like the speakers were embedded within the walls or something.
"Which song?" I asked,
Arisa simply gave out a confident smile towards me.
Trust me was the message.
"Will the sun shine tomorrow, I wonder." she began,
Ah that song.
"Looking at the sky, filled with twinkling stars." I joined in,
It's a lovely song, in my opinion. It's about wishful thinking and never being alone. Another part that intrigued me was the growing up part.
No matter how far we are, no matter where we are, no matter-
No matter.
Everything we do, we look towards the future and it's okay to look back every once in a while.
That's how I interpreted the song.
Anyways, the attendees and my siblings were starting escort the audience towards the exits in an orderly manner. Whatever was happening below us, I knew I could depend on my friends doing their part.
I was fully aware, I'm singing when I'm supposed to prevent it to trigger a deadly spell.
"To the future." Arisa and I sang the last line together,
Both of us took a deep breathe and realized it's just us two.
"We did it Otomi!" Arisa hugged me with a beamed up smile,
"Yeah we did." I returned the hug,
Our moment was quickly ruined when the stage collapsed beneath us.
I was holding Arisa already, so I quickly turned my bracelet into connect mode.
I held our platform remains in the air. It slowly went down, under my command.
"Shut up with that damn noise!"
Shutaura.
It looks like she's falling apart mentally.
"You." she snarled towards Arisa, "If you never existed, then this would never happen! None of this would ever happen"
Shutaura's mind was at it's breaking point. She was snapping already.
Her gun was aiming at my friend.
I went in front of her.
"Otomi!" Arisa gasped,
Simply sighing to myself, I gave Shutaura a look of pity.
"There's that saying, be careful with what you wish for yes?" I asked her,
She aimed the gun higher.
"All because of one selfish wish you wouldn't dare see the consequences of what you wanted all those years ago." I glared,
I had to hit her where it hurts.
"What would your father think? Aiming you gun at an innocent girl? You were raised better than this!" I reprimanded her,
Her gun went off, but I quickly formed a shield to block the shots.
"Don't you bring my father up!" the deranged Shutaura yelled,
She took out her explosive disks! Shutaura threw it towards us.
She can remotely detonate it.
I quickly electrocuted them, but they didn't trigger.
"They didn't detonate?!" I voiced my shock,
"I'm the only one who can detonate these!" she yelled with a smirk,
They went off, but the explosion wasn't too much. My shield was able to absorb most of it.
"Otomi!" Arisa cried with worry,
Shutaura quickly was in front of me and I felt a punch at my side. Then she gripped my hand and forced me down.
"I'm going to kill her." she glared towards Arisa, "She's the cause of all of this!"
I took a deep breath.
My bracelet was at connect mode.
Shutaura might have a serious advantage within hand to hand combat, but I had another trick.
I forced a powerful discharged out of my body. Electricity was leaking out me and it was around me and Shutaura.
I can hear her screams, but I had to do this. The moment I felt her grip fading I stopped it.
She rolled out of me and there was smoke coming out of her body.
"Sorry, you force me to do that." I sighed,
I felt her hand grabbing my shins.
She was stubborn.
"You hate Arisa's songs, eh?" I asked her, "Or the concept of a miracle?"
She gave me the most terrifying glare. It's like she really wanted to murder me.
I started to hum a tune.
Shutaura's eyes widened.
All that rage vanished.
Shutaura started to hum a different tune. At the same time, Arisa slowly walked up to Shutaura. She was also humming the same tune as Shutaura.
"I was born from her wish." Arisa told me,
Then they held hands.
A bright light shone between the two.
It was so bright!
"Otomi?"
Blinking again, everything was white.
"Hello? You there?"
W-Where am I?
"Hey!"
I blinked again.
Arisa was in front of me.
"Knowing you, I guessed you figured out I'm a part of her." Arisa told me,
"Sorta, kinda." I replied,
Arisa grabbed my hands.
"Thanks for everything Otomi." she smiled, "You're a really wonderful friend to have."
"Arisa." I said her name,
She gave me a hug.
Didn't even realized we had no clothes.
I'll just stop there.
Anyways, this hug felt sad.
Like it was goodbye or something.
"Why the frown?" she asked me,
"It's not goodbye, right?" I asked,
She just gave me a smile.
"Just like your sisters, I'll always be with you." she pointed towards me heart,
So stereotypical.
"Lame." I snorted automatically,
"Y-You know what I mean!" she blushed,
I simply laughed at her reaction.
"I know we both have a lot of adventures on the way, but stay in touch alright?" she requested,
"Of course." I nodded,
Was it me or was the whiteness starting to get dimmer.
"Oh, one last thing!" Arisa realized and blushed,
What?
!
Oh!
Oh my-
!
She was kissing me.
On my lips!
What?!
"With our earlier tensions, I just wanted to let it all out here you know?" Arisa justified her kiss, "Plus kissing you here was easier since it's our minds connecting."
Oh right, we had our moments. Thankfully people were able to stop the moment.
So this was in our own heads. Only the two of us would know it.
When that flash of light hit, I was caught within it and Arisa wanted to have a final conversation with me.
"Otomi, you don't approve?" she frowned,
"It's a new experience." I stated,
She simply sighed with a smile.
"Alright, see you around!" she cheerfully told me,
I blinked again and I was back in Endymion.
Arisa vanished, but Shutaura was still here.
Where did her bodysuit go?
Anyways, Shutaura turned towards me and gave me a smile.
I immediately recognized that smile.
Arisa.
She was back, where she belonged.
I noticed the place stopped shaking.
Did that song stop whatever spell Ladylee had?
It had to.
"Now this is a miracle, right?" I chuckled, "Saving the world from impeding doom."
"Shut up." Shutaura rolled her eyes but kept the smile,
I simply chuckled.
"Onee-sama!"
Proto and Ichiroku arrived looking weary, but alert.
"Hey guys." I casually waved towards them,
They both noticed a eased out Shutaura and a missing Arisa.
"I'm here Proto, Ichi-kun." Shutaura put her hand on her heart,
I felt Proto and Ichiroku checking my most recent memories.
Proto was keen on examining the one particular scene.
"Really Arisa?!" Proto yelled, "I knew onee-sama attracted both genders, but this is too much! Misaka yells out as she gets a nosebleed!"
I should've seen that coming.
Her nose was really bleeding!
"Pervert." muttered Ichiroku and smiled towards Shutaura, "Still good to know you got some closure with what you went through."
"Thanks." was Shutaura's reply,
Looking at the destroyed auditorium, I simply sighed at what happened from the past few days.
"What a miracle this has been, huh?" I told everyone,
Everybody nodded at my statement.
I felt arms wrapping around me, but none of them were next to me.
Arisa.
Despite the interesting way to say goodbye, thanks for being a good friend.
I know you'll be watching over me. I mean you're right there, back with Shutaura.
You're the miracle that I met.
I'm glad to know you.
It's been a long day, I earned some rest.
END AN: Endymion Arc over!
Phew.
Man what a way to end it!
It pretty much became Otomi central when she's the one keeping an eye on Arisa instead of Touma.
So here's what happened while Otomi did her part. Because Proto took the railgun, Maya and Co replaced the Sisters saving Mikoto. Meanwhile Touma and Index confronted Ladylee and had a longer conversation since Touma added his thoughts on whatever manner they were speaking.
So I say Arisa got a big girl crush over Otomi and she showed it.
Next arc is one I wanted to do for a long time, but we had to get through all of these arcs first! You know, chronological order.
Enjoy your day/night!
