War Correspondence

Dearest Hermione,

We were both happy to receive your letter. Are you sure you can't write more often dear? We do miss you terribly. You've never spent this much of your holidays away from us. Is it possible to visit us before you return to school? You could bring your friends too, we haven't had the chance to meet them properly yet.

It sounds like you have been quite busy. Make sure you take the time to relax as well, heaven knows you work hard enough during the school year. But we were very pleased to hear that you have been spending time with this Ginny girl. You need a girl friend, it isn't good for a girl your age to spend so much time just with the boys.

Write again soon sweetheart,

Mum and Dad

Hey Hermione,

So umm, what have you been up to? I haven't been doing much here, mainly avoiding the Dursleys. Any news? How's Snuffles, can you tell him I say hi? I sent him something too, did he get it? Any word on when I can come and stay with you?

Please write back soon, life is so dull here.

Harry

Dear Ron,

How are your holidays going? I'm sure they've been busy, from what I have heard of your mother. Mine have been ok, but boring. The only people here are Gran's friends, and even then it's been less than usual. She's been out a lot lately. I think it could have something to do with what happened at the end of term.

I was actually writing about that. Do you know what's going on? How is Harry, is he staying with you? Is there any possibility of seeing you guys before school, I'm getting sick of my own company.

Sorry if this is too nosy or pushy.

Neville Longbottom

Harry,

Please be patient. I understand that you are not having much fun where you are, but you are safe. We will get you here when we can, but please understand that we are very busy. It isn't that you aren't important, but right now we need to focus on those who aren't safe, and on not compromising you. I know this isn't what you want to hear, and I'm sorry. I do understand, more than you know.

Hang in there kiddo,

Snuffles

Dear Mum and Dad,

I'm sorry about the gaps in letters, but I really can't write any faster. I've been borrowing owls to write to you, and their owners need to use them as well. And between my summer work and helping Mrs Weasley, I really have been very busy.

Don't worry, I am taking time to relax. Ginny and I had a Girl's Night with another friend of ours last week and stayed up all night eating junk food and talking about the silliest things. And yes I brushed my teeth extra well the next morning. There is no need for a pamphlet on correct teeth care like last time!

And please, I'm glad to have Ginny too, but really, the boys are fine. It's not like I'm always alone with them or anything, in fact it's very rare that it is just the three of us. There are plenty of people around wherever you go at school – boys and girls – and Mrs Weasley has been keeping a firm eye on us. You didn't write to her did you? Besides, Harry isn't here yet, and there's only so much Ron I can take before needing back up!

Unfortunately I don't think a visit is really possible at the moment. We're still trying to get a friend's house habitable, and we promised to have it finished before school started. Plus we're hoping to get Harry here very soon, and he will need me when he arrives. He had a bit of a rough end to last term, and I think it would be best to have as many of his friends with him as possible. I do miss you, and I'll spend Christmas with you this year to make up for it, ok?

I love you lots,

Hermione

Ron,

WHY AM I STUCK HERE?!

Harry

Hi Neville,

My holidays have been ok. Lots of cleaning, but at least Hermione's here, so I have company. I'm sorry that you are so bored.

I'm sorry mate, but I really don't know much. Just that there are some people who are trying to help. I can't really say much here.

Unfortunately you coming here is out of the question, and I doubt Mum will let me out of her sight to come and visit you. Maybe a Diagon Alley trip? But she's gotten pretty protective, so I can't promise anything. Maybe if your Gran set it up she might go for it more?

I'm sorry I can't help more. Hang in there mate.

Ron

Dumbledore,

When are you going to stop with this You-Know-Who nonsense? I'm afraid our faith in your ability to run Hogwarts in a way beneficial to our children is decreasing with each day you continue to insight terror with your sensational statements. Your inability to employ a new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher is not building our confidence in this matter either.

I am giving you one more week Dumbledore. If the above situations remain unchanged, I will be forced to take matters into my own hands.

Sincerely,

Cornelius Fudge

Minister for Magic

To Mrs Molly Weasley,

Mrs Weasley, we have not met, but my son Frank was an associate of your twin brothers many years ago, and now my Grandson Neville appears to have formed a friendship with your son Ron, and with his friends Harry and Hermione, who I understand are currently in your care. What with current events, I have been quite busy and Neville has been rather deprived of stimulation, and has been asking to meet with his friends once before the school year starts. Despite the danger, I do see the merits of his arguments, including fresh air and comparing results for their summer school work. I understand that it is impossible for him to come to you, and I would not blame you for wanting to leave them at my residence out of your sight when you yourself have never visited. However the children have discussed the possibility of Diagon Alley. I would willingly provide supervision, however I would also understand if you wish to provide extra eyes, given who we are discussing. Please consider this offer, and send a reply with my owl when you can.

Kind regards,

Augusta Longbottom

Cornelius,

I will not go back on what I have said. Your threats will not deter me from telling the truth and working towards the safety of our world and those inhabiting it. I am more than capable of running Hogwarts without Ministry input, as I have done for many years. However, I have more important fights at this moment in time. Do what you must, but know that I will not give up easily.

Albus Dumbledore,

Headmaster, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Harry,

I don't know mate, please be patient. We're doing our best, but we are busy, and the adults are even busier. Hang in there, you'll be here soon enough.

Ron

Ms Augusta Longbottom.

Thank you for your thoughtful letter. The children in my care are also suffering from the boredom and restlessness that comes from being cooped up for too long. Unfortunately, a meeting seems out of the question at the moment. Whilst I trust you to keep the children safe, the most at risk child is currently not with us, and I'm afraid a sighting of his friends without him may prompt some unsavory characters to investigate as to where he is. As of this moment he is quite safe, and I do not wish to compromise that. Please convey my deepest apologies to Neville, and I will notify you if the situation changes.

Many thanks,

Molly Weasley

Hermione,

I've just been attacked by Dementors and I might be expelled from Hogwarts. I want to know what's going on and when I'm going to get out of here.

A/N. So I tried something different here. What do you think? It was quite fun to write like that! Anyway, I hope to hear from all you lovely people :) NG.
