Warnings: Spoilers for "Jet Lag".

A/N: I can't remember in this episode if Tony and Ziva had their weapons on the plane. I'm assuming because they were escorting a witness they did, and had the papers authorizing them to carry their guns. It would seem like a terrible screw up on the writers part to have a pair of federal agents on a protection detail not carrying their guns. Also heard the news that Marisol Nichols is returning, super excited about that btw, because I really, really liked Zoe. So, this brings me to what I want to talk about... creating OC's can be daunting and a little draining... I'm not sure I'm up for creating ANOTHER OFC for Tony... so I was thinking of pairing Tony with Zoe in later installments. I really liked her character. I liked that she forgave Tony for just disappearing on her and that she was willing to listen to him, possibly vent off-screen about how hurt he was about Ziva. Of all the women that the show has thought about, hinted at pairing Tony with... she's the first one that I really liked. (Except Kate, I might have been okay with that if Sasha hadn't left). Ok, enough ramblings... enjoy the update! Thoughts on my ramblings are always appreciated too lol.

Dis- Thank you!

amaia- Katie hates being away from her daddy :(

Tony felt the familiar comfort of his gun against his hip. They were landing in just fifteen minutes and already he could see the Spock look alike of a flight attendant glaring at him as he rose from his seat. But, Tony didn't care. Someone on this plane was out to kill Norah, had killed the U.S Marshall and would kill Tony and Erin if she got the chance.

Peeking in the galley he found Tiffany Chase putting away from trays. She looked innocent enough. Which was probably the whole reason that Tony hadn't suspected her to begin with. In the drawer that she opened he could see a weapon peeking out. "Talk about snakes on a plane," Tony drawled, startling her. "You almost had me for a moment, Tiffany."

He was ready for her attack and ducked the tray that came flying at him, thus absorbing her hit. Grasping her arms in a tight hold, Tony spun her about and thrust her against the wall, reaching for his cuffs. "You're under arrest, for the murder of a United States federal agent and if I could arrest you for pissing me off, and not giving me my hot towel I would."

"Screw you," Tiffany sneered.

"Sorry... not my type. I don't date assassins," Tony snapped back, dragging her to the empty chair next to him. He dropped her roughly there.

Erin and Norah watched as Tiffany was tossed in the chair. Norah looked relieved that this was over.

Tony was relieved too, it meant that he could go home and spend time with Kaitlin. And in about ten minutes or so they would be on the ground, escorted off the plane first because they were a protection detail and now had a suspect in custody. "Ladies," he said, grinning, "Let's go home."

Norah chuckled. "At least I'll finally be able to get to see my Daniel."

"Oh yeah..." Tony started to say but saw Erin's eyes go wide and she shook her head. Yeah... maybe Tony shouldn't be the one to tell her. He'd leave that up to the U.S attorney dealing with this case. "Well... I'll finally be able to see my Katie... so everything's good... kind of... because someone still wanted you dead."

"Tony," Erin warned him. "Quit while you're a head, please."

He agreed with her and buckled his seatbelt and instead of focusing on how they were going to inform Norah that it was her Daniel that had wanted her dead... he focused on finally getting to see his daughter and immediately that made him feel better.

Kaitlin greeted Tony and Erin when they stepped off the elevator. She smiled, mischievously at them and Tony was sure that she had been plotting her escape from who ever was caring for her at the moment.

"Hey troublemaker," he said, scooping her off the floor. "Are you trying to sneak away from Grandpa?"

"Oh... jeez... sorry Tony!" Jimmy sputtered running around the cubicle wall. "I... I turned my back for a second! Gosh she's fast!"

"It's okay, Jimmy," Tony said, kissing his baby's cheeks. "She can't reach the buttons... yet."

Kaitlin gurgled and grinned, happy to be with her daddy. He took her to his desk and stood her on top of it. "I got something for you, peanut," he said, pulling a little french beret out of his bag. He placed the red cap over her head. "Aw... you look like a little french porcelain doll."

Erin laughed softly, dropping her tired form into her chair. It had been a long two days but thankfully everything had worked out. Well... at least for NCIS... not so much for Norah because it was her lover that had hired the hit man. And when they had finally worked up the courage to tell her that, it had not been a very pretty sight. Certainly, Norah's rosy colored world had been tainted forever now. Erin felt bad for her but it was out of their hands now. "Thought you didn't enjoy Paris?" she finally asked Tony.

"Oh," Tony quipped, looking up to see McGee stumble into the bullpen. "I did. I would have enjoyed it more if Katie had been with me."

"Maybe someday you can take her," Erin supplied. "She seems like a classic, renaissance girl."

"Yeah... she does prefer black and white films."

Kaitlin asked to be held again by thrusting her hands out at Tony. He gently picked her up and hugged her, feeling her little head rest on his shoulder. Running his hand up and down her back, soothing her to a peaceful little nap, Tony noticed Gibbs for the first time. He was shocked by a couple of things, one being that the lead agent looked exhausted... Kaitlin must have given him a harder time than he was letting on... and two, his arm was in a sling. "Boss?"

Gibbs looked up, noticed that Tony was looking at the sling and shrugged. "I was hit by a car."

"What?" Tony and Erin gasped at the same time.

"Well it was either me or Tim," Gibbs responded.

"Yeah... sorry about that, boss," McGee mumbled. "Promise, I'll make it up to you."

Tony chuckled. "You're going to be schlepping for Gibbs for weeks."

Gibbs threw a glare at his senior field agent. "Keep it up, Tony and you'll be doing it." He waved his hand at the three agents. "Go on, get out of here! You all did good work and deserve some time off!" For a moment the team stood there, silent, and then Gibbs barked at them again, reminding them that he could change his mind if he wanted. That propelled them into action and as they all left, the team leader allowed himself a small smile, gathered up his things and left as well. After spending those two days with a cranky Kaitlin, Gibbs needed the rest too, because it turned out that Tony's daughter wore him out at times just as much as Tony did.

Steve Adler was surprised when Tony showed up at his office with the baby. "Everything alright? Your father didn't break that restraining order already did he?"

Tony shook his head. "No. My father is in jail. And not coming out for a long time."

"Oh. So... why are you here?"

"Do you mind if I use the beach house?"

Steve blinked. "It's almost February."

Tony smiled and chuckled. "Yeah I know. Just wanted to make Kaitlin's first birthday special."

"Guess she's had a few rough weeks," Steve said, grinning at the baby. She smiled at him, boy did she look like Tony. "So... I don't see why you can't use the beach house. Meg and I will be away on Valentine's Day for our last romantic weekend before we get married. It's all yours... just don't go too crazy. I know what kind of parties you can throw."

"Steve, it's a birthday party for a one year old," Tony shot back. "How crazy do you think it's going to get?"

His old friend chuckled. "You'd be surprised how many cases I've worked where children's birthday parties have gotten out of control because of drunk family members."

Tony huffed and looked at Kaitlin. "Well, that's not going to happen because none of my drunk family members are going to be there. In fact, the only one that would have bothered to come... maybe... would have been my dad and he's in jail."

Steve opened his drawer and fished out his keys. He plucked the one for the beach house off the chain and grinned. "Have fun. But I have to warn ya, the water this time of year... it's rather chilly."
