wabi-sabi1090: No one cannot fall for Alex's eyes lol. I will be updating the walking dead story when the season finished. I always wait for the season to finish so that I can see the episodes and plan everything out. I've always done this.
The all mighty and powerfulM: hopefully you're still reading up to this point! What do you think?
Desert Vulpes Zerda: Thank you! I try to keep her from that type of thing, being a Mary Sue, since I know I wouldn't want to read a story like that. I try to give each character—Oc or not—their real personality. They each have something that makes them their own person and I think you guys like that. :)
GuestLiz: Who knows what will happen in the love department in Bon Temps, but we'll see.
Claudine and Sookie were surrounded by a bright light, the graveyard vanishing from their sight as the light brightened. When the light dimmed, they were somewhere else completely.
Sookie looked around open mouthed at the bright place as people clapped for her and Claudine.
Sookie held her stomach lightly as the feeling of nausea overwhelmed her. "I feel nauseous." She told Claudine.
"It'll pass." Claudine reassured her. "Well done. As you were." She told the people around them.
"Wait. Are you like, the head of the faeries or somethin'?"
Claudine shook her head. "Oh hardly. No I'm your…" she paused. "I'm your godmother." She smiled at Sookie's shocked face. "I know its-"
Sookie cut her off. "I have a faerie godmother?"
"Oh, it's not all fun and parties. Some of us have to work." She gave Sookie an expressive stare.
"Okay, if your job is to look after me, can I just say you suck?" Claudine cocked her head at Sookie's sudden outburst. "Do you know how many times I could have used a Faerie Godmother?"
"Well, you're still alive, aren't you? You're not exactly Miss Trouble-Free, you know."
Sookie looked around, remembering something. "I wonder…" She looked to Claudine. "Wouldn't Charlotte be here? Since we're both part faery?"
Claudine's face darken the moment Sookie said Charlotte's name. "Do not speak of her in this place." Sookie took a step back at the acid in her voice. Claudine saw that and smiled as grabbed Sookie's hand. "Come on, enjoy the party." Her voice was light and back to normal, like that moment didn't happen.
Sookie looked around as Claudine dragged her a few feet forward until someone called out her name.
"Sookie?"
Sookie looked at the person and saw it was Barry, the guy from Dallas. "Barry? The bellboy? How long have you been here?"
Barry shrugged his shoulders. "We just got here. Can you believe this place?" he looked around in wonder. "Oh, this is my faery godmother, Lloyd." He touched the shoulder of the man next to him, who was very attractive. He said hello as Sookie just smiled politely.
Barry stepped a bit closer to Sookie. "Look at everyone." his eyes scanned over the people around then before looking back at her. "Do you realize this is the one place in the universe where we're not freaks?"
Claudine laughed. "Well, we're going to get a drink. Once you two are finished chatting, mingle." Claudine and Lloyd left.
A pretty blonde woman walked up to them holding a glass bowl that had these weird glowing fruits. "Would you like a Lumiere? A light fruit."
Barry and Sookie each took one.
Sookie looked around as everyone was eating the fruit. "Barry, hold on a sec."
Barry was stuffing his face in the fruit. "Whoa." he took another bite. "This is like," another bite. "Biting into pure happiness. You gotta try this, Sookie."
Sookie felt uneasy about this. She noticed how only the humans were eating the fruits like they were starving, but none of the faeries were eating.
Someone caught her attention though. A man that looked a lot like her granddaddy, Earl. She remembered when she went with him to pick apples…
She quickly walked over to him, forgetting about Barry. "Granddaddy?" She called out to him softly.
He stopped eating and looked at the blonde woman in front of him. "I beg your pardon?"
"Granddaddy Earl?" he stopped eating when she said his name. She gave him a big smile, so happy to see him. "I'm Sookie."
His face changed from confusion to shock as he place the fruit down, then went back to confusion. "I just saw you last week…" he narrowed his eyes. "It was your birthday…"
Sookie's bright smile dropped as she stepped closer. "Granddaddy that was twenty years ago."
His jaw dropped at the news. He stumbled in shock but Sookie quickly took him to a stone bench so they could sit and talk.
"Oh my Lord." He sighed. "Your grandma…" he paused, not wanting to think about her death. "Did she…" a tear ran down his cheek. "Did she pass gentle?"
Sookie's heart broke. She couldn't tell him she was murdered… so she lied. "It was peaceful." She said with a smile. "She lived a happy life." Granddaddy put his head down. "Momma and daddy were in a flood, so I have no idea. I try not to think about it." She played with the fruit in her hands. "Just me and Jason now."
Granddaddy shook his head. "Twenty years?! I can't understand how-" he reached into his back pocket and pulled out his old pocket watch Gran had gotten for him. "I swear I've only been here a few hours!"
Sookie frowned. "You've been here this whole time?"
"I must've lost track of time." He sniffled. "It just- everything seems so… lovely." He gave a sad laugh.
Sookie heard a growl and looked over to see a horrifying creature walking around, but no one seemed to notice it. She looked around and saw the beautiful stone walls were now being covered in green gunk. She looked over to the woman handing out the light fruits to see someone one pick one up, and it was rotten with maggots on it.
She panicked and decided to contact her granddaddy through her thoughts. 'Granddaddy? Can you hear me?'
Granddaddy looked over to her shocked, not knowing she could do what he could. 'Yes, yes I could hear you.'
'This is a trap! We need to leave.'
Sookie now noticed that everything was too silent.
"A trap?" a woman walks towards her as others move out of her way. "A trap was the world you left behind." Sookie stood up quickly. "Oh no need to bow, we're all friends here." she said sarcastically.
Sookie bowed her head as granddaddy stood up next to her. "I'm sorry, I just have no idea who you are."
"You can call me Mab. I am the one who sent for you." Mab stopped right in front of Sookie. "Have you had some of the Lumiere fruit?"
"No I haven't had-" Sookie replied quickly, but Mab talked over her.
"It's really quiet good."
"I'm not hungry."
"Just have a taste." She smiled.
Sookie got angry and threw the fruit own onto the floor. "I don't want any!" The fruit changed to black and rotten.
Sookie stepped back as Mab's face and ears changed, looking pointy and ugly. She blinked and it went back to normal.
"The future of our kind is in peril. A vampire breached our realm because he had a taste of faery blood, yours and that…" Mab's mouth twisted like she had a bad taste in her mouth. "Abomination friend of yours."
"Don't you dare talk about her like that!" Sookie snapped. "She is my friend and she is nowhere near an abomination!"
Mab chuckled. She motioned for Claudine to come forward with a bowl of water. "Check for yourself."
Claudine handed Sookie the bowl as she looked into it. Her mouth dropped as she saw a bruised, naked and bloody Charlotte standing over a man with green eyes.
Her eyes were gold as she looked down at the crying man with an emotionless face. Sookie couldn't hear what she was saying but she gasped as she saw Charlotte stab the blade in her hand down his throat, spraying her with more blood.
Sookie dropped the glass bowl, making it shatter at her feet.
"Now you see what she truly is." Mab stood there with a smug look on her face.
"That… that can't be true." Sookie glared at Mab. "You're lying to me."
"Sookie," Claudine caught Sookie attention. "It's true, that was your… friend. That is why we had to take you and not her. She would kill us all."
Sookie shook her head. She knew Charlotte. She would never. "No, she wouldn't… her mother-"
"Her mother is a whore!" Mab spat.
Chuckling was heard from behind Mab. "Oh, name calling are we now Mabby?"
Mab turned around and Sookie got a look at who was talking. Her eyes widen as she saw Charlotte standing there… no… her eyes were different and her voice.
"Marigold." Mab spat. "You have no right to be here."
Marigold smirked. "I have the right to be where ever I want."
"I am your Queen!"
"Please!" the venom in Marigold's voice made Mab and the faeries around her step back a bit wide eyed. "You aren't fit to be Queen, you whiny spoiled brat." She looked over to Sookie and her voice went back to the soothing tone it was. "Hello Sookie, I believe you know my daughter."
Sookie only nodded, unable to find her voice.
"The abomination, yes, she knew her." Mab smirked. "But we showed her what she is capable of."
Marigold's eyes widen and looked over to Sookie, then back to Mab. "She had to do that."
Mab just rolled her eyes. "We have no time for our fights, Marigold. We should work together!" Marigold just continued to glare at Mab. Mab turned to Sookie. "In the old kingdom, vampires nearly drank us to extinction, they drove us to this place!"
"Well, it won't happen again." Sookie quickly took a look at Marigold, who was secretly looking around the place before locking eyes with her. "I can guarantee you that."
Mab's face changed again, as did her voice. "Oh, I know." Everything returned to normal. "But we have sown too many seeds with the humans, now it is the time to harvest."
"Harvest?" Sookie looked around. "You're harvesting people…"
"And you call my daughter an abomination." Marigold muttered while glaring at the faeries around her. "You all are the abominations! Stealing humans and forcing yourselves upon them!" Sookie could see where Charlotte got her fire from.
Mab ignored her. "The fruit please."
"No!" Marigold yelled as she took a step forward when they grabbed Sookie before grabbing her. "Let me go! Sookie, don't eat it!"
"Get away from me!" Sookie fought back as Mab tried to force feed her the fruit.
"Eat it!" Mab growled.
"Sookie! Use your power!" Sookie heard Marigold yell as she fought with the men holding her back.
Sookie did as she said and put her hand in front of Mab, making her beauty fade and throwing her back to the big tree.
A bright light came from Marigold as she threw the men back and she then threw her hand up, making the world an all the faeries turn ugly.
The faeries holding Sookie let her go to go help Mab.
An ugly faery with long black curly hair came up to her in a tattered dress. "Follow me, we have to get you out of this horrid place!" She ran passed them.
"Come on, granddaddy!" Sookie took his hand and followed Marigold. They ran as light bombs were being aimed at them and the faeries were chasing after them. "Can you keep up?" She called back to her granddaddy.
"I'm trying!"
"Try harder!" Marigold yelled from in front. She stopped and threw a light bomb back. "They wouldn't care to kill you both."
A light bomb hit right behind them, throwing all three of them down.
"Your Highness!" Two male faeries and a female faery came over and helped all of them up.
"I'm fine!" Marigold told the dirty blonde woman holding her.
"Come with us! We can help you!" said the man holding Earl.
Sookie fought against the guy holding her. "Let me go!"
A light bomb hit him in the back, making him explode into dust.
"Oh no." Marigold held the blonde woman as she stared wide eyed in the spot the guy was in.
"We will mourn him later, but first we must run." Marigold told her softly. She turned to the remaining male. "Now!"
"Do not fear, we can get you home." He said before shouting to the top of the rocks. "On the mark! I've got the humans and the Queen is safe!" he saw the other faeries were coming closer. "Hurry this way!"
Sookie and Earl followed him as the sounds of screams and bombs going off were left behind them.
"This way!" The man led them to a large dark hole. Earl and Sookie stopped to gawk at the hole. "You have to jump!"
"What?" Sookie turned to faeries and Marigold. "I don't even know who you are!"
"His sister was the one who abducted you because that brat in the crown wishes to seal the human world from faery forever." Marigold told her quickly.
Sookie looked them over. "And you guys don't?"
"It was once our world too, it is our right to travel there." Marigold's eyes grew sad. "Besides, my only daughter is there."
The man looked at Earl and Sookie. "Did any of you eat the light fruit?"
"Only he has, but not me." Sookie pointed to Earl.
"Then only you can go then." The blonde woman said with a sad look.
Sookie turned around to look at Earl. She couldn't leave him here…
"Humans!" They turned around to see Mab standing on a large boulder. "Do not listen to their lies! Jump and you will die!" her hands lit up and the hole started to close quickly.
"She's closing the portal!" the blonde screamed.
Marigold grabbed Sookie's shoulders so she could look into her eyes. "Do you want to go home or not?!"
Sookie didn't have time to answer as Earl grabbed her waist and jumped into the hole.
Charlotte glared at the men working on the house, hating the fact the Jason sold the house to some unknown buyer, but thankful that the person was letting them live in the house. Hell, she'd fight tooth and nail to keep the house under her care while Sookie was away.
"Still mad?" Alex called out from the table, where he was doing his homework. After some time, Charlotte was able to put him in home school until he was ready for public school.
"Of course I am." Charlotte crossed her arms and looked over to Alex. "Don't know why he sold the house without at least telling us what he was going to do first."
"It's not our house though."
"But we're living in it and it's technically Sookie's." She threw back at him before rubbing her face. "How's the star glazing going?"
Alex's eyes lit up at the mention of the gift Bill had given him a while back. "It's great! It helps relax me after my lessons."
Charlotte smiled as she watched as Alex turned his attention to Molly, who wanted the attention.
Something suddenly burned on her chest, making her hiss in pain and pull out her necklace. The crystal was glowing bright.
"Sookie…" Charlotte ran to the door, nearly running a man over. "Stay inside!" She told Alex as she ran as fast as she could to the cemetery. She looked at the necklace and noticed it was glowing brighter while beating.
She saw the entrance of the cemetery and ran faster. "Sookie!" She called out. She looked around as she heard soft crying. She followed the sound to see Sookie wearing the blue and yellow pokey-dot dress she was wearing the last time she saw her. "Sookie!" She ran over to her and saw she was crying while holding a gold pocket watch.
Sookie looked up with teary eyes to see her friend. "Charlotte." She called out in a broken voice.
Charlotte threw herself down next to her and pulled her into a hug, letting her cry on her shoulder. Charlotte said nothing as she ran her fingers through Sookie's hair, letting her just cry on her.
After a couple minutes, Sookie move away and they started a silent walk to the house.
Sookie's steps slowed down a bit when she saw the men working on the house, but she marched right up the steps to the door when one of the men painting it tried to stop her.
"Whoa sweetheart, you can't go in there."
"It's my house!" she yelled at him as she opened the door and walked inside. Charlotte followed her inside to see her look at everything covered in sheets and workers around. "What the…"
"I have a lot to tell you, Sook."
"Little ladies? Y'all can't be in this house while we're working. I'm going to have to call the police."
"Go ahead." Charlotte took the door and slammed it in his face. "So annoying."
"What the hell is going on?" Sookie yelled as she spun around in place.
"Who's yelling?" Alex came down the stairs.
Sookie looked from Charlotte to Alex. "Who the hell is that?!"
Charlotte walked over to her and grabbed her shoulders, ignoring the fact she tensed up. "I'll explain everything to you, just relax."
Sookie took deep breaths as Charlotte walked her over to the kitchen and sat her down at the table. Alex came over too, but he stayed by the doorway.
"Now that you're calm, tell me what happened in the faery place."
Sookie looked over to Charlotte shocked. "How did you know where I was?"
"My mother told me she was going to help you get back, though she is 2 weeks late on that part." Charlotte mumbled the last part to herself.
"There was a fight…" Sookie began. "They were taking humans to their world to harvest." She gasped. "Barry was there, you remember the bellboy from Dallas? Well, his faery godmother took him there. They said they were taking them to that place because of us."
She started to play with the golden watch in her hands. "They had my granddaddy… and they showed me…" she licked her lips. "They said you were an abomination and showed me you killing some guy by shoving a blade down his throat." She looked up at Charlotte and Charlotte could see the fear in her eyes. "Was what I saw true? Did you really kill him?"
"I had to, Sook." Charlotte reached for her hand but she pulled it away. She tried to hide the look of hurt as she brought her hand back. "The man you saw was my father, the reason for my life being a living hell until I killed him." She sighed as she felt Alex come closer and place his hand on her shoulder.
"Do you remember when I told you the car accident that killed Jake and made me miscarry?" Sookie nodded slowly. "Well, that car accident was planned by my father. He thought I was my mother and planned to kill me."
"Why would he do that?"
Charlotte's jaw tightened. "Because he was a monster. The day you disappeared, I had to run back to Ireland since he was coming to get me. He ended up finding me six months ago and tried to kill me, but…" She bit her lip. "Sookie, I lost a bit of my human side to the side we didn't know about before."
Sookie moved back in her seat, taking it in. "What are you?"
"I'm an angel."
Sookie just stared blankly at Charlotte. "Seriously?"
"Yup."
Sookie looked to Alex. "Who is he then?"
Charlotte patted Alex's hand. "This is my brother, Alex. Our father was keeping him around and he helped me while I was captured by him. I brought him back here after everything, where he could start over without the shadow of our father's work following him."
Sookie looked around the kitchen. "What happened to this place?"
"Well, first, my father came by and nearly destroyed this place looking for me, so when I came back, I bought stuff for the house so it wasn't feeling so empty. Your old room and my room were nearly completely destroyed but thankfully Gran's room was untouched." Charlotte pushed a curl back away from her face. "A while ago, Jason went ahead and sold the house from under my nose." She scrunched her nose in annoyance. "Thankfully they let us stay here."
"Do you know who bought the house?"
Charlotte shook her head. "You have to ask Jason, I haven't spoken to him since those workers came by."
Sookie suddenly started to cry again and opened the watch. They just sat there, the sound of Sookie crying the only noise around the house.
Charlotte reached over and took her hand. "What happened? Please tell me."
Sookie wiped her tears and showed her the watch. Inside was engraved 'To Earl With Love, Adele.'
Sookie went into how when Charlotte's mother helped her and her grandfather out of the world, but he ended up dying because of a magical light fruit that the faeries were giving the humans. "He turned to dust in front of Gran's grave." Sookie sobbed. "I couldn't do anything to help."
Charlotte gave her back the watch and hugged her again, rubbing her back. Alex sat next to Sookie with a sad look in his eyes.
"I'm so sorry." Charlotte said into her hair. "I really am."
Charlotte, Sookie and Jason were sitting at the table, talking about him selling the house, where Sookie really was, and how much time she had been gone while Alex was standing by the door way watching them.
"I swear it felt like 10-15 minutes tops, time just worked differently where I was at."
Jason just looked at Sookie with a small unbelieving smile on his lips, making Sookie annoyed. "I believe you," he told her quickly went he saw her frown. She ignored him and stood up to walk around Alex and to get her grandfather's watch. "I do, but Sook, if you start telling people that you time traveled to a land full of faeries, they're going to put you away!"
Sookie came back and just placed the watch on the table in front of him.
Jason looked to the watch and Sookie with his mouth agape. "Where the hell did you get that?"
"I saw granddaddy." Jason perked up at her words. "He was there. He wanted you to have it." She looked at the watch with a sad look. "He swore he'd only been there a couple of hours." Jason picked up the watch carefully. "Jason, he looked just like we remember him." Jason opened the watch to read the engraving inside. "Time stands still there and no one knows it. That's how I lost a year of my life and granddaddy lost 20."
Jason looked away from the watch to look around. "Where is he?" Sookie looked over to Charlotte with a sad look. "You didn't just leave him there did you?"
Charlotte decided to answer, since Sookie looked like she was going to cry again. "Jason, he's gone." She put her hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry. Sookie told me he wanted for you to have that watch so that you'd always know that he never meant to leave you."
Jason nodded and smiled sadly at the watch. "What time you got?"
Sookie looked over to the microwave. "6:35." Sookie tense up as Jason started to fix the time on the watch. "Which means…" Sookie started to walk towards the front door.
"Sookie, wait!" Charlotte quickly followed her outside, getting there in time to see Bill.
"My God…" he was staring at Sookie shocked, not really sure if she was really there. "Sookie." He smiled and walked up the steps quickly to hug her but she stepped away from him. He put his hands down, realizing why she moved away. "Forgive me, I know I'm not welcome." Bill took a small step towards Sookie but she just took another step back. "I have not sensed your presence in over a year…"
"Well I'm fine." Sookie gave a strained smile.
Bill had a thoughtful look on his face. "You were with Claudine?"
Sookie looked over at Charlotte with an accusing look on her face before looking back at Bill. "It's none of your business where I go or what I do."
"Sookie," Bill's voice shook with pain. "For over 12 months I have been so empty. It was as if… I thought you had been taken when Charlotte disappeared or died." He shook his head. "But when she came back without you, I really thought you had perished."
"Oh, I knew you weren't dead." Eric came into view.
"Eric, not now." Bill told Eric, annoyance lacing his tone. "Aren't you needed at Fangtasia?" he asked him as he turned around.
"Pam can handle it." Eric replied quickly.
"I specifically want you-" Bill started but Eric cut him off with a grin.
"Thank you for your concern, but we're fine."
"Eric, go!" Bill spat at Eric, who just stood there. Bill turned to Charlotte and gave her a look, pleading for help.
"I got this." Charlotte told Bill as she walked pass him to Eric. "How about we take a quick walk?"
Eric looked from Bill to Charlotte. He placed his arm around her shoulders and waved back to Bill and Sookie. "Nice paint."
As they were walking, Charlotte was hiding the small shakes she would get when the wind blew. Goosebumps appeared on her skin, causing more shivers.
"You cold?" Eric didn't wait for Charlotte to answer as he took off his leather jacket and wrapped it around her.
"My savior." Charlotte smiled up at Eric as she hugged him.
"Anything for my Queen." He bent his head down and pressed his lips against hers.
She smiled during the kiss, making them separate. "I know what you're trying to do."
Eric put on a face of false innocence. "What are you talking about?"
She gave him a look as she turned them around to walk back to the house. "I'm not having sex out here Eric, it's dirty and I'm cold." Eric laughed. "Besides, I better get back before something happens."
"Do you want me to stay?" he asked once they were in view of the house.
"No, it's okay. Besides, don't you have to do something at Fangtasia?"
"Pam can take care of it." He played with the end of her hair, something he always did.
"Don't throw it all on Pam." She hit his chest lightly. "Go take care of what you have to do then come see me if you can."
He walked her to the door. He saw she was going to take off his jacket to give it back to him when he stopped her. "Hold it for me."
"Eric, its fine. I'll be warm inside." She handed it back to him, smiling as he took a whiff of it as he put it back on.
He placed his hand on the back of her head and gave her a peck. "See you soon."
"Have fun." She placed a kiss on his jaw and turned to go into the house. When she turned around to lock the door, Eric was gone.
She walked to the living room and saw Sookie in different clothes watching TV with Alex on the other couch petting Molly.
"Careful Charlotte, coming through!" Jason had a tray of coffee mugs.
"TV sure hasn't gotten any better in the past year." Sookie stopped surfing through channels and looked up at Jason. "Where's your uniform?"
Jason put the tray down and put Sookie's feet down. "Shove over." He told her as Charlotte went over and sat next to Alex. Jason grabbed 2 cups for him and Sookie while Alex grabbed one for Charlotte and himself. Charlotte grabbed the cup that didn't have marshmallows, since she wasn't that fond of them. "I'm not letting you three spend the night alone. Now, do you want with or without marshmallows?"
"With." Sookie quickly took the cup with marshmallows, making Jason pout. "Look, I know you must be worried for me, but you can't shadow me forever."
Jason shook his head. "It ain't that, Sook." He started to play with the mug as Molly moved from Alex's lap to Charlotte's. "It's just that… having you back, it's like the happiest I've been in my entire life." He turned to Sookie with a smile. "And I don't want it to end."
"I love you too." Sookie smiled, understanding what he brother couldn't say. "I'm still mad you sold the house." She muttered.
"Same." Charlotte took a sip from her hot chocolate, enjoying the warmth.
Jason groaned and threw his head back. "Ya two are never gonna let me live that down huh?"
"Nope." Alex answered him while silently laughing at Jason.
"Tomorrow I'm going to call a local attorney and see if we can't give those AIK people their money back." Sookie said as she took a sip of her hot chocolate. "I'm keeping the flat screen though."
"We don't have to give it to them, I bought it." Charlotte winked at Sookie as she laughed. "You're welcome!"
Eric made it to Fangtasia to see Pam had been lassoed in to do the AVL commercial about vampire owned businesses. Her tone was sarcastically deadpan and her answers were short.
Nan grew tired of Pam. "Stop!" she cut Pam off. "Cut." She spotted Eric behind the bar and pointed to him. "That is the man we want."
Eric didn't look at her as he went over to check the items on the clipboard. "What? Pam not so good?"
"She was fine, if you happen to be blind, deaf, and an idiot."
"What's idiotic is that the AVL believes the public to be so naïve." Pam shot back at Nan.
Nan was unfazed. "I have proof, scientific. People are far dumber than they realize." She then turned to talk to the camera people. "It's a post-Russell-Edgington world people and we win back the human public one smile at a time!" Eric got annoyed of her talking so he started to walk around the bar to Pam. "Now can anyone play this game?"
Eric flicked Pam's hair off her shoulder and unclipped the mic from her shirt, shooing her off the stool set up in front of the cameras.
"Action." Eric cue himself in and put a small fake smile on his lips for the appearance that he was not dangerous. "Hello, ladies and gentlemen. My name is Eric Northman. I'm a tax paying American and a small business owner in this great state of Louisiana. I also happen to be a vampire." He dropped the smile. "Now in the past year, there has been inflammatory talk from politicians warning their constitutes not to trust vampires. But think about it for a second, who would you trust?" He paused for effect. "A vampire or a politician?"
"The truth is, vampires are as different to one another as humans are because we were human. We ask only to be treated as such and we welcome you into our world as well." He gave a small smile to the camera, working his charm. "We're always happy to serve humans here at Fangtasia. And we don't mean for dinner." He ended with a smirk then motioned 'cut' as Nan told the crew.
"Cut! There you go." She looked over to Pam, who just rolled her eyes. Nan stood up and walked passed Eric but stopped. She took a deep breath in. "What is that smell?"
Eric tensed up, knowing what she was talking about. Charlotte scent was all over his jacket.
Pam noticed how tense her maker was and how Nan was sniffing around, that it was Charlotte's scent. She stepped forward. "Ginger has a new fragrance she's trying out." She leaned in close so the humans couldn't hear. "Makes her smell lovely."
Nan nodded and walked pass.
Eric looked over to Pam and nodded to her.
Once everyone was out, she walked into his office. "How's Snow White and Boy Blue?"
"Fine, Sookie is back though." Eric stated as he started to go through some papers.
Pam fake pouted. "Aw, the fun is over." She sat down in the chair in front of him. "No more crazy sex."
Eric snorted. "Like Sookie's going to stop us from doing anything."
"You can always bring her here." Pam smirked as Eric shook his head, knowing what she was getting at. Her tone changed from playful to serious. "You got to be careful when you visit her, Eric. Vampires can smell her on you."
Eric never looked up from his papers, but he could hear the worried tone in her voice. "And we can take care of any vampire who tries to get her." He knew Pam cared for her and would fight to ensure her safety even without his command.
"So have they found out about the house yet?" Pam started to file her nails as he stayed silent. "You know she's not going to be happy you bought it."
Eric stood up and handed Pam the files. "Here."
"Wait, where are you going?"
He didn't answer her as he left to go see Charlotte. He snuck his way in through Charlotte's window to be greeted by Molly.
He gave her a scratch under her chin, making her close her eyes and purr. He shooed her out of the room silently, so he wouldn't wake Charlotte.
Eric took his jacket off and placed it on the door hooks before he took his shoes off and placed them by the bed, carefully sliding in next to Charlotte.
Charlotte moved slightly closer to him and then blinked her eyes open. "Eric?" she smiled and cuddled closer to him, putting his leg in between hers. "How was work?"
"Fine." He pulled the hair tie in her hair so it was loose. He loved to run his fingers through her hair as they lay in bed. He moved his leg a bit and felt something that made him grin. "Oh, you bad girl." She blushed as he ran his hand up her thigh to cup her bare ass. "Waiting for me?"
She gave a sexy smirk. "Only for you."
Eric growled playfully. "Come here." He climbed on top of her as she quietly giggled.
Charlotte just finished putting the dirty clothes in the new washer that the AIK people put in when she heard the front door open and a 'Hey Sookie' coming from the living room from Alex.
Charlotte put the basket down and walked to the kitchen to see Sookie with her head in her hands with a frown on her face.
"Hey Sook, what's wrong?" She ask her once she sat down.
"Well first, the attorney called has been sick in the hospital for months so I had to deal with some lady who tells me that the address for the AIK people is in the Caribbean. I plan on paying those people back." Her frown deepened as she talked.
"How much did they put in?"
"She said about 50 to 55 thousand." Charlotte whistled at the amount. "Yeah, I know. I asked her to tell them if I could make a payment plan, because this is my house." Sookie sighed, blowing her bangs out of her face. "Then I heard her thoughts… she knows Bill and she thought that he rarely mentions me at all."
Charlotte bit her lip. "I'm sorry to say this, but why should you care? You basically told him to stay away from you and to never come near you again."
Sookie's frown changed to a snarl. "Why should I care? Is that the best you can say?"
"What the hell do you want me to say?" Charlotte changed her tone to a mocking one. "Oh that's a shame, he's an arse."
"Yes!" Sookie slammed her hands down. "That's exactly what you say!"
"Well I'm not doing that!" Charlotte crossed her arms. "If you'd listen to what he told me-"
"You talk to him?!" Sookie jaw dropped in shock.
"Of course I do, he's my brother. I forgave him a long time ago for what he did." Charlotte uncrossed her arms and leaned closer to Sookie. "You can see he's sorry and that he loves you still."
"He tricked me!" Sookie yelled. Charlotte sighed and sat back in her seat. "And yet you didn't help or side with me. You just went off with your boyfriend!"
Charlotte raised her voice at Sookie. "I left because you two needed to talk! You're my best friend, Sook, but I'm not always going to be on your side. Especially if you're being so damn childish!" she hit the table.
Sookie's jaw dropped and she narrowed her eyes at her. "Well you're out of your mind for not seeing the reason why I'm acting like this, especially since you were there when it happened! Damnit Charlotte, you're my friend, have my back for once!"
Charlotte opened her mouth to yell at her again when Alex stepped into the kitchen with an angry look. "She isn't out of her mind, she's just trying to help you!"
Sookie shooed him off. "You don't understand, you weren't there."
Alex's anger rose. "You're the one that doesn't understand! She's trying to help you, even when she doesn't have to! This isn't her problem, this is yours and Bill's!" Tears started to come up and his bottom lip quiver but he continued to yell at Sookie, who stepped back from his tongue lashing. "She didn't have to take me with her, hell she could've left me in that dark place with all those people, but she didn't. Instead she welcomed me with open arms." His voice crack as he held back a sob. "She saved me and showed me love. Something no one has ever done before…"
"Alex…" Charlotte went over to him and hugged him close, tucking his head into her neck. She felt him grabbing the ends of her shirt tightly. "It's okay, don't think about it." She threw a glare at Sookie as she walked Alex back to his room. Molly greeted him with a purr and a soft meow.
Alex smiled and picked her up, cuddling her close to him.
Charlotte smiled at the sight and went downstairs, ignoring Sookie, to get the laundry.
Charlotte finished getting dressed in one of Godric's old shirts that he gave her and some black shorts. As she reached for her brush, she heard Sookie scream out her name.
Charlotte acted quickly and ran to the door, seeing Alex coming out of his room too. They ran to Sookie's room to see Eric standing there stone faced in front of a naked Sookie that was using her nightgown as a cover. Alex quickly looked away and ran out of the room, red faced. He wasn't comfortable with nudity.
"What the hell is going on?" Charlotte asked Eric and Sookie.
Sookie glared at Eric. "I need you to rescind his invitation!"
Charlotte just raised an eyebrow at them and walked forward to cover Sookie. "Why?"
Eric just laughed. "She can't do that because you don't own the house anymore. I do." Eric pulls the keys out of his pocket and dangled them.
"Why would you do that? Why would you buy my house?" Charlotte stayed silent as Sookie talked, jealousy filling her. Why did Eric come into her room? She put up a wall so Eric wouldn't feel it.
"Because I always knew you were alive. If I owned the house, then I would own you." Eric explained as Sookie grabbed the back of Charlotte's shirt in fear as he walked closer. "This means that everyone in this house is mine."
Charlotte's jealousy was sky high now.
What was he doing sneaking into Sookie's room while she's naked?
Was he getting tired of her?
She's his heart singer, shouldn't that mean something to him?
… Shouldn't it?
Oh shit!
We're finally back on track with the show! Sookie is back and is having fights with Charlotte, who now is jealous from that moment of Eric going into Sookie's room.
Alex's nickname is now Boy Blue and he is very protective of his sister. Sookie sure didn't expect that.
See you guys soon!
