~Chapter 52- The Haunting Sins of Parents~
Nicole eyes tiredly flutters opens as her body still felt limp, all she could see was the dark walls light up by the dim lights in the large warehouse. She moves her hands across the cold floor, the memories from earlier came flooding back from earlier, this made Nicole eyes widened as she quickly starts to move.
Her head felt like lead and her stomach still hurt from that one guy taking her down. Not to mention her ankle was still in raving pain from Deckard pushing her down the flight of steps. All she remembered was taking that one guy down but then somebody grabbed her from behind and knocked her out with something and she had no doubt in her mind that Deckard was the one to do it.
Nicole leans up to see nobody as it was just a table set up with a dinner in the middle of the floor. Her eyes scanned the room but she didn't see any signs of anyone there, Nicole saw a exit door on the opposite side of the room. It wasn't too noticeable and you would look pass it if you weren't really scanning the room but it was in good distance for her.
Not wasting another second, Nicole shot up from the floor and took a run for the door.
She was halfway across the room until the chain that was around her yanked her down to smack hard on the floor. Nicole screams hitting the floor in shock and in pain as the chain was cuffed around that same injured ankle from earlier.
"Ugh!" Nicole cried out holding her knee to her chest, she favors her ankle with a cry.
"I don't know what made you think it would seriously be that easy." Deckard calmly walked out from the shadows in his jacket. Nicole turns on her stomach to look at him with a death glare. "Now that is the meaninst look I ever seen you give me." Nicole looks back at what shqe was chained to and tried pulling at her foot but it only caused more pain making her cry out in frustration tears pricked her vision as she held her ankle. "Should have been more careful."
"You pushed me you bastard!" Nicole snaps. "You wanna talk about careful?"
Deckard kneels down not to close to her. "I wouldn't bother checking yourself for any knives. They're not there."
Nicole glares up at him, she slowly shakes her head. "Why?"
"I told you why." Deckard replies. "It's called consequences, Nicole. Now I'm sorry that you have to pay for the sins of your parents but that's what this is."
"My parents sins?" Nicole looks at him crazy. "What about your sins? Or your brother sins, especially his sins. You're not paying for his sins, you're choosing too because you think because he is your brother that you have to. This is all his fault and you know it is!"
Deckard grabs a fist full of her shirt and gave her a slight shake. "You still never know what to say out your mouth." Nicole just continues to glare coldly at him. "Where was the mouth you just had? Go on, continue to try and make light of all this."
"Read my lips." Nicole says. "Go to hell." He roughly throws her back down. "I'm right and you know I am." Nicole holds her chest, Deckard looks back at her. "None of this would have happened if he would have just let me and her go. He decided to keep me and torture me and make my life hell."
"Then why did you stay?" Deckard questions her.
"Because I was not gonna leave her. If that was your brother and you were in my shoes, you wouldn't have left him either." Nicole stands her ground. "I don't care if she didn't remember who I was, I was not gonna leave my mother. Especially not around Owen, you knew what he was and what he did. I wanted to leave everyday and every one of those days I cried because I knew that I couldn't. Owen tortured me because he knew all of that, and there was no other reason behind it. He lived to make me suffer because he knew he could."
"Maybe you shouldn't have left home." Deckard points out. "Should have stayed with your daddy." Nicole looks down at the floor, she slowly sits up and massages her ankle gently. "You played an adult game with your life and thought you knew everything when in reality you should have just stayed a child. Then maybe things would have went different for you."
"Maybe..." Nicole says quietly. "Still doesn't change the sin that was your brother." She slowly looks up to see Deckard glaring at her. "You blame my family for him but he's still alive. I lost a aunt and an uncle that I can never get back. I can never have my life back because of him...my friends all out grew me. I watch them look at me trying to hang on for my sake but I swear I know deep down they resent me for Owen making me dead and me leaving. Your brother did that, your brother took away years of my life that my father can never be apart of. He took away my mother and dangled her in my face as bait to get me and did it to keep me. Can you justify that?" Deckard continues to stare at her with an unreadable look. "You can't can you?" She scoffs. "Yet you wanna talk about the sins of family...Owen Shaw is the biggest sin your family will ever have."
"Maybe he is...but you are yours." Deckard says coldly. Nicole shakes her head. "You're the one that wanted to be grown, past your prime and thought you knew it all. Just like you do research...so do I. Instead of being a good child and staying home you decided to go to street race and walk yourself into shortly your own kidnapping."
"I was-"
"Stupid." Deckard answers for her, Nicole looks down as tears came out her eyes. "My brother taught you how to survive out there and that once you play a dangerous game, you better be ready for all that comes with it. I taught you how to protect yourself. If you were acting your age...maybe those things would have never happened. Nobody held a gun to your head and told you to go with my brother but you did because somehow in that little brain of yours you thought you could save her all on your own. Now look where you are? Right here, half crippled, in my face. At least for now you are."
Nicole continued to shed tears but wouldn't sob in front of him. "You don't have to keep doing this." She slowly shakes her head at him. "You could have let me go the first day you saw me but you didn't...you taught me and then you shipped me right back."
"I taught you more then your own father." Deckard points one of her throwing knives at her. "Be wise to remember that. The things I taught you kept you from being dead in a ditch some bloody where. You should thank me."
"Thank you." Nicole says dryly. "Thank you, for being a less worse version of your brother." Deckard threw the knife pass making her duck, it hit the barrel bin behind her. Nicole held her head holding back her fearing cry. "You missed on purpose." She looks up.
"I'm not gonna kill you yet." Deckard sighs heavily. "If I do, then I won't get to see the look on your fathers face when he sees you sitting here." Nicole looks up at him confused. "They should be here in a little while from now." He grabs a water off the table and tosses it to her, it rolled across the floor and lands near her feet. "Drink it. You were out for a long time." Nicole takes the bottle and chucks it across the room which got a scoff from Deckard. "Witch."
"As if I drink anything from you." Nicole muttered. "I don't need it."
Deckard picked up another water. "You're no good dead right now."
"Unless you're going to get closer to me and shove it down my throat," Nicole eyes him. "You're wasting your time. I'm not drinking it."
"You keep it up." Deckard points the water at her. "Your father will be looking at a corpse when he gets here."
"I guess you're talking about your own." Nicole says.
Deckard turned around about to retort. A chuckling made both Nicole and Deckard look back from their stare down.
Jakande walks out with an amused smile as he continued to laugh at them.
Nicole eyes widened, her brows knotted together confused. "What is he doing here?"
"What can I say? The enemy of my enemy is my friend." Deckard shrugs. "I told you. All sins come in a payment."
"You are so full of crap!" Nicole shouts trying to get up but the pain in her ankle shot her down. "You are better then this and you know it Deckard!"
"Him, better?" Jankade looks at Deckard. "He's just as much as a killer as we are."
"At least with him there is some type of emotion and purpose behind it. You can't compare yourself to him." Nicole spats. Deckard gives her a look. "You kill a person because you were told to and there is money involved."
"So did you at one point Ms. Nicole." Jakande points out.
"I did what I needed to stay alive and keep my mother alive. Don't you ever compare the two and get them confused with what the hell you do." Nicole sits up. "Your sick bastards. All of you."
Jakande laughs looking back at Deckard. "Fire cracker." Deckard shrugs it off with a scoff. "I like her." Nicole glares at him as she favors her chained ankle. "You did some damage on my guys, little one." He walks over.
"You get any closer to me and I'll cut you, I swear to God." Nicole threatens.
"You don't have any knives." Jakande smirks.
"No." Nicole looks to his hip. "You got one though."
He looks down before back at her, Jankade looks to Deckard who continued to watch Nicole carefully.
"Taught well." Jakande nods. "I see why you took a liking to this one Deckard. I really wish you would consider my offer. My boss would pay a lot for her." Nicole brows furrowed as she stares at Jakande, she briefly looks to Deckard. "I could have her out of here and a bag in your hand before Toretto even gets here. I doubt she would want to see a massacre like that at her age." Nicole eyes grew wide in fear, her breath stopping in her throat. "What do you say?"
"I told you earlier." Deckard sat at his table. "No deal." Nicole snaps her attention over to Deckard almost shocked. "The girl stays with me and we stick to the plan. We are allies until otherwise."
"Guess the one that means nothing...means a lot." Jakande nods and looks over at Nicole.
"What do you mean massacre?" Nicole voice quivers. Her eyes shoot up high to the catwalk above them when she heard guys walking around. Some of them had snipers and other guns on their hips. She looked around them and noticed more of them gathering below. "W-What are you doing?" Nicole looked at Deckard. "I said what are you doing!"
Deckard starts to rub off his silverware for his meal. "I already explained to you what I'm doing. Your a big girl Nicole, figure it out. I'm being nice and allowing your dad to see you one more time before he goes."
"No." Nicole slowly shakes her head and scoots back, she crawls away the best she could with a slight cry. Deckard angrily scoots back his chair and follows after her, he yanks her up but she fights him back. "Get off me!"
"Unlock the the chain on her ankle." Deckard says.
One of the men came over and tried to grab Nicole's leg but she kicked him in the face. His head went back with a yell as he fell backwards on the floor with a bloody face. Deckard threw Nicole down on the ground and pressed his knee in her back to stop her fighting, he reached back and gripped her ankle making her yell and stop.
"Let me go!" Nicole cried.
"Begging isn't a good look on you." Deckard said. "Thought I taught you better."
"I am not begging you for anything!" Nicole snapped. "I said to let me go!"
Deckard unlocked the chain on her ankle, he gets up and drags her over to the small table by her jacket. As he walked around the table he pulled out the other chair and threw her down to sit in it. Nicole went to shoot up from the seat but Deckard with ease yanks her back down.
"Stop trying me." He slammed the water down in front of her. "Drink it." Deckard goes back around the table and sits down back. Nicole breathes heavily as she stares down at the water with a frown. "I'm not going to tell you again."
Nicole coldly glares over at him, she narrows her eyes to the side to see where Jakande was and saw where some of the men had came over to tend to the guy she kicked earlier. Deckard began to eat his food, he looked up at Nicole who was looking elsewhere.
Deckard calmly swallows the bite of his food. "I know what your thinking in that head of yours. There isn't any way out of here that doesn't involve a bullet." Nicole eyes slowly narrowed back to him. "So I suggest you drink the water and don't try it."
"I don't want it." Nicole said dryly. Her mouth was dry from being out for a while but she didn't trust any of them right now and was not about to drink anything from any of them, including Deckard.
"Suit yourself but you better not move." Deckard shrugs. "But if you move from this chair without my permission. I gave them permission to shoot you." Nicole eyes widened a little. "So if that's what you want your father to see when he walks in here, by all means move." As Nicole was about to pull his bluff, a red dot appeared on her chest, making her heart drop. She nervously stared down at it before back at Deckard who continued eating as normal. "You say one word out of your mouth about what is coming when they come in here. I'll scar Toretto forever and kill you in front of him." Tears well up in her eyes as she softly sobs to herself unable to speak. She muffles her cries with her hand the best she could, she would not let him get her to cry, she couldn't. "Now are you going to sit here and shut up?" He looks up. Nicole slowly nods her head, her head hangs low as she let her tears stream down. "Good."
Time was slowly going by and the place grew quiet. Jakande had left with some of his guys but Nicole could still hear his voice close by which meant he wasn't far. The entire warehouse was a walked in ambush, none of the men walking in with her dad to come get Deckard were going to walk out of this. The main thing she tried to prevent from happening had happened anyway and it was truly clear that Deckard had nothing but revenge on the brain. He was willing to kill her, but didn't want Jakande to have her? If Deckard didn't care then why not give her to him. It was clear to her the man she grew close to like a father was exactly who people said he was. The times she spent with him, she thought maybe he was different and that he treated her like family, but she was wrong, and now she saw him for what he really was.
A couple of men with guns came down from the cat walk.
"Their here." He says to Deckard.
"Good." Deckard nodded. He nodded his head to me. "Take her to the back until I need her." Nicole eyes snapped up to glare at them. The men nervously looked from Nicole to Deckard and cleared their throats, Deckard caught this and scoffed. "She isn't going to fight you because she knows," He looked back at her, Nicole slowly put her eyes on him. "what will happen if she speaks a word. Don't you?" Nicole's expression unreadable, she nods her head slowly. "Now take her."
One of the guys yanked her up by her arm, a pain went through her ankle making her hiss in pain and almost drop down but she kept herself up. They started to drag her to the back, away from Deckard.
"You don't have to do this." Nicole says back to him. "Deckard!" He ignored her and kept his hard glare ahead. "I know you hear me! Don't do this, please!" She cried out to him. "That's my father!"
"Now are you begging?" Deckard scoffs.
"Yes! Yes, I am begging!" Nicole continued to struggle in the soldiers grip. "Please don't take him from me Deckard! Please!"
Deckard listened as they dragged her off to the back until she was no longer heard in the warehouse and things went back to quiet. He calmly picked up his silverware and resumed eating again, he started to hear footsteps but they didn't phase or stop his meal this time.
'Meanwhile, outside'
"Here we go. Weapons hot." Sheppard calls back to the other troops.
They had the Ipad that was hooked up to God's Eye and leading them straight into the factory warehouse. Nobody, went in first flagged by his team.
Brian had his gun held close, he looked to Dom. "You ready for this?"
"Yeah." Dom nodded.
The two of them shared a mutual look and walks inside the factory with their guns ready and aimed. Deckard sat ahead of them eating as all of them scattered with their guns pointed directly at him.
"I hope you're enjoying your last meal." Brian said to him.
Dom watched Deckard from behind, it was something about this that didn't set right with him. Here they were with guns that could take him out in a second but he was so calm. Mr. Nobody caught wind to Deckard's attitude and demeanor and he didn't like it either. To say the location of where he was had threw him off the most as well.
Deckard looks up in the midst of chewing, his brows furrowed at the numbers. "This is it? This is all I warrant?" He was honestly insulted that they believed this would be enough, even it was just him. "A dozen men?"
"I think you'll find it's more than enough." Sheppard assured.
Deckard dabs his mouth with his napkin, he used his teeth to pull the pin out of the grenade. All of them backed up but were more on the defensive as they continued to keep their guns pointed at him. Brian aimed his gun as well, Deckard takes the pin between his teeth and throws it to the side.
He sat the grenade on top of the napkin calmly and scoffs. "I almost feel offended that this is all I get."
Dom walks out with his gun ready in his hands but not aimed. "I'm ready to meet my maker Shaw." Deckard raised a brow. "Are you?"
"What were you expecting, Toretto?" Deckard asks him. "To catch me off guard?" Dom glares at him. "Me standing here, waving a white flag?"
"Nah, your not that smart." Dom slowly shook his head.
"Funny." Deckard briefly chuckled, it dropped back into a frown. "Neither is your daughter." Dom brows furrowed together. "I guess I do finally see the family traits. You both believe in attempting at facing me when the odds are clearly stacked against you." Brian didn't like the sound of that. "Come out Nicole!" Deckard calls for her, staring at Dom. "Your daddy is here."
Dom thought it was some kind of joke until Nicole slowly emerged from behind Deckard with a slight limp to her.
"No." Brian whispers in horror as he lowered his gun.
Dom eyes went wide with anger and shock. Mr. Nobody along with the other men were just as thrown off as Dom and Brian were by seeing her there. What made Dom more upset was the limp and rough look on her. When did she get here? What did Deckard to her? & most of all, why didn't she stay with her mother and the others?
Nicole kept walking slowly as she could almost feel the hidden guns pointed directly at her from up top. All she had to do was breathe one word about the setup and one of the shooters uptop were positioned to take her out. Her mind raced as she was trying to think of a way to warn them without anyone seeing that.
"Come and stand right here." Deckard points next to him.
Nicole walks up and stands by his side, sucking up the rest of her tears and keeping her head down. The pain to look up at her father and Brian was too much to bare or see, all she wanted was to scream for them to 'Run!' but she couldn't. It seemed she was reliving a nightmare but older, the only difference it was another Shaw brother and this time it was her being used as bait towards Dom.
"Kids." Deckard shakes his head, rubbing his thumb across the grenade. "They never listen do they, Toretto." Dom tore his look from Nicole to deathly stare down Deckard. "Another family trait." He sucks his teeth.
"What did you do to her?" Dom questioned in a cold tone.
"Nothing...yet." Deckard was sure to add that part on. Dom clenched his gun but didn't aim it out of fear for his daughter being so close, anything could happen. "See Toretto, I believe in tough love. Nicole here-" He placed his hand on the center of her back, he watched Dom tense but he saw he didn't raise the gun. "she is very hard headed. Aren't you? Tell him how you tracked me out here, and came by yourself."
Dom eyes went to her. "Nicole."
"I-I'm sorry." Nicole croaks out, her tears came down as the cries she never wanted to come broke out. "Daddy I'm so sorry!" She looks up at him. "I tried to-I didn't know what else to do!" Her breaths get short. "I'm sorry for everything!"
Dom eyes softened seeing her fear as the sound was in her voice. "Nicole, calm down." She shook her head and continued crying harder. "It's going to be okay, look at me Nicky!"
"I'm sorry!" Nicole continued to cry.
Mr. Nobody was starting to notice something about Nicole's fear. It wasn't due to the situation at hand, she kept crying for a reason and she was trying to say something. It was even more weird that she didn't run to them where it was safe. Grenade or not, why didn't she move? What had her so afraid that she wouldn't stop crying or moving?
"Look at me." Dom tells her, Nicole's break down was starting to send off alarms in his head. Something wasn't right about any of this. "Nicole!"
"Why don't you come get her Toretto?" Deckard smirks for a quick second. Dom glared at him but his concerned look went back to Nicole who was having a slight nervous break down. "You would do anything for your child right? I'll even be nice." He patted her back. "Go stand in front of the table." Nicole carefully stumbled ahead to stand in front of the table. "Now she's closer. Here's your chance to grab her with no consequences and if I were you, I would take her now."
Dom held his hand out. "Come on Nicole." Nicole stares ahead with tears and bites her lip to avoid more tears. "He does not have any control of you. Lets go home, come on. This is over."
"It's not over." Nicole said.
"That's right." Deckard nodded. Brian and Mr. Nobody looked at Nicole, her tearful eyes kept darting around before looking back at them. She was sending a silent message with her eyes the best she could. "You ever heard the saying, 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend'."
Mr. Nobody eyes went up to the dark catwalks as he started to slowly catch on to what Nicole was trying to say.
"I don't have friends." Dom sternly tells him. "I got family and so does she." He looked back to Nicole. "You don't control what the hell my kid does. That is over with."
"You don't get to make that decision." Deckard scoffed. "And, I don't have a lot of family but, I got a lot of friends." The lights shut off.
"Nicole get down!" Dom aimed his gun at Deckard.
Nicole jumped out of the way as soon as the explosion went off behind Mr. Nobody's and everyone. Guys came out from everywhere as nothing but round of bullets went off everywhere. Jakande walks inside with two of his guys flanking him, shooting anything that moved.
"Two-two formation! Sheppard, peel one!" Mr. Nobody shouts.
The guys took cover and traded shots with Jakande guys. It was hard to get a good shot as Jakande had them pinned down from both sides, but none of them were going down without a fight.
Dom looked through the smoke and flaring gun shots for Nicole but couldn't see her.
"Brian!"
"I'm good." Brian shoots. "Do you have Nicole?"
"No!" Dom looks out but quickly retreats when gunshots came his way.
Nicole army crawled on the floor, when it was safe she got up just a little to run behind some equipment to hide behind it.
Deckard hit the bin and saw her, Nicole snaps her attention to the left and sees him. Her eyes widened, ignoring the pain, she took off the best she could but continued to stay low to avoid shots. Deckard ran after her, Nicole turned a corner and he was about to do the same until gun shots made him retreat back.
Nicole crawled away on hands and knees, gun shots went off by her making her scream and sink to the floor with her back against the crate.
She heard her name being called from across the room.
"Help me!" Nicole cried in fear.
There was so many men shooting, it was hard for her to try and move and she had found herself in a tight spot. One wrong move and she would have bullets in her.
Brian moved around the bin and spotted Nicole down on the floor shielding herself from the bullets.
"Dom I see her!" He called back to them. "I can't get to her though!"
Mr. Nobody saw Sheppard get shot down, he looked through and saw where Nicole was and comes back. Dom was about to step out until he saw Mr. Nobody take out his shades and put them on, he hit a button on them making them so he could see in the dark.
"O'Connor!" Mr. Nobody called out, Brian stopped firing to look back at him. "You got seconds. Get in and get out." He took out his guns.
Mr. Nobody came out from his hiding spot and started shooting down everyone he could. Brian quickly ran out and over to Nicole without being caught by a bullet.
Nicole jumps with a scream when somebody touched her.
"It's okay! It's okay! It's just me, come on." Brian grabs her hand. "Can you walk?"
Nicole looks down at her bruised ankle and shakes her head. "Barley."
"I need you to hold that pain in for me! Can you do that for me?" Brian asks, Nicole screamed when a bullet was this close to hitting them, Brian held her as they ducked down. "It's alright! Nicole we gotta run back." She shook her head. "Yes, we have to!"
"No, no, Brian I can't! I can-"
"The hell you can't!" Brian grabs her hand. "You are not dying in this crap! Lets go! Just stay with me, I got you." Nicole looks at the small distance with panic before at Brian. "Trust me!" Brian helped her up, he waited before the two of them dashed out and across the other side. He sent Nicole ahead of him and turned backwards to shoot. "Don't look back! Keep running!" Nicole did what he said and ran behind the bins. Brian quickly came behind her with a sigh of relief.
Dom looked over and saw Brian return with Nicole and felt a wash of relief. Before he could react a close gunshot echoed as a bullet had hit Mr. Nobody. All of them went wide eyed when two more went off and Mr. Nobody went falling down with a smirk.
Brian quickly found the person and shot up at the catwalk along with Dom, sending the man in a retreat. Dom went over and grabbed Mr. Nobody's hand and helped him up, he starts to drag him out.
"Lets go!" Dom shouts. "Nicole!"
Nicole got up, Brian saw God's Eye and went to grab it but the bullets hit down in that area making jump back.
"Brian, leave it!" Dom called back to him.
Deckard walked out not to far from them with the grenade still in his hand, he threw it over towards them, it landed on the floor spinning a few times.
"Get down!" Brian runs out, grabbing Nicole's hand.
An explosion went off inside the factory. Dom kicked the door open and put Mr. Nobody on his shoulders as he ran him to the SUV. Brian raced out with Nicole as she jumped in the back with Dom and Brian jumped in the front seat. He quickly turned the truck around and sped off as fast as he could away from the factory.
Dom saw the blood and ripped the shirt of Mr. Nobody open, Nicole sighed when she saw him wearing a bullet proof vest underneath.
"You didn't really think I was gonna walk in there naked, did you?" Mr. Nobody asked her. Nicole shakes her head and was still on the verge of tears from seeing the blood as it showed he still got wounded.
"You got hit bad." Nicole takes her jacket off and uses it to put pressure there. "I-I should have just said it."
"I saw the target on your back kid." Mr. Nobody hissed a little through the pain. "One word. They would have shot you were you stood." She looks up at him. "Either way I see it. This was going to be the outcome, whether you were there or not. So pick your damn head up, your stronger then that."
Nicole smiled a little. "If you weren't wounded I'd tell you shut up."
Mr. Nobody forced a smile through the pain as he looked over at Dom. "Look, Toretto. I know you won't listen to me. You're not gonna want to hear what I have to say. But the truth is, you really ought to try that Belgian ale, man." Dom gives him a look. "It's something special."
Dom thinks about it. "Belgian ale, huh?"
"Hey, we gotta get you to a hospital." Brian said from up front.
Mr. Nobody shakes his head. "No, you're not." Nicole brows furrowed. "I carry my own health insurance. SOCM medics on standby. They're already inbound." He showed them a certain phone he had. "Pull over, kid."
Dom helps Mr. Nobody out the SUV when Brian pulled over on the side of the deserted road. Nicole had got out and gave him a hand as they sat him up to be somewhat more comfortable. Dom had stooped down and placed Nicole's jacket back on the would with pressure. Nicole came around the other side and kneeled down next to him.
"Dom." Mr. Nobody got his attention. "You two," Nicole looked at him. "Both of you gotta protect Ramsey. As long as she's alive, she can lock them out of God's Eye, and they know that."
"I was afraid of that." Nicole winced and held her side.
Mr. Nobody nods. "That means they're not gonna stop coming until they've got her and Deckard isn't going to stop until he kills one of you." He motioned between Dom and Nicole who both exchanged a brief look. "And this time Dom, when those devils come, they're gonna come with everything they've got. There is no hiding the other now that they have God's Eye."
"I'm not leaving you." Dom shakes his head. He didn't care for cops but this guy he had a respect for. Mr. Nobody exposed himself to make sure Nicole was okay, and was nothing but honest and true to his word since they met.
"You're not." Mr. Nobody shakes his head. "I'm leaving you two." He nods ahead. Nicole and Dom looks up to see a helicopter coming their way for Mr. Nobody. "Go now, Dom. Get out of here, both of you." Nicole hugs Mr. Nobody carefully so she wouldn't hurt him. "Don't tell me your going soft on me kid."
"You wish." Nicole scoffed through her teary eyes.
Mr. Nobody let out a painful chuckle and pats her back lightly. Nicole pulled away and smiles a little.
"I'll see you soon, kid." He nods. "You never know. I might need you for a job one day."
"Yeah, you might." Nicole nodded her head. "Thank you Nobody...for everything." He smirks and gives her a wink.
"Go on with your dad." He nodded to the truck. "And no more being hard headed. He's a wise man, so listen to him."
"Yes, sir." Nicole sadly smiles.
Dom gives him a look and stands up, he held his hand out for Nicole who grabbed it and lets her father help her up. She limped a bit back to the truck, Nicole looks over her shoulder one last time at Mr. Nobody before getting inside.
Dom shut the back door and looks back. "Nobody." He looked over at him. "I'll see you when this is over."
"Of course you will Dominic." Mr. Nobody nodded. "We all know, this isn't our last stand. You just better do me one favor." Dom stares back at him. "...Don't miss."
"I won't," Dom said sternly, he got in the truck.
Brian pulled off down the road but kept looking back through the mirror. Nicole sat in the middle but with her head rested on the center armrest up front.
Dom looks down at her, Nicole looks up with sad and tired eyes. "What the hell were you thinking going after Shaw, Nicole?"
"That I could stop him from coming after all of you." Nicole shakes her head. "I was wrong, and I should have listened-"
"Yeah you should-"
"But you left to come here alone." Nicole said. "I was just trying to help you. I never meant for any of this to happen. I just wanted answers from him...and I finally got them."
Dom put his arm around the top of her and sighed. "You are your mothers child. Hearts in the right place just never your hard heads." She cracked a smile. "Is your ankle alright?"
"Walkable." Nicole sighs and leans up.
