WOOOHOOOO TWO CHAPTERS IN ONE DAY! DON'T I DESERVE A ROUND OF APPLAUSE?

YOU-KNOW-WHO-IS-BACK!

Oliver set the newspaper aside and fell back on his bed. The darkness that threatened him and those near him was back. The thing that killed Cedric was back.

Oliver sat back up. He couldn't just sit back and watch. He couldn't.

You-Know-Who cost him everything.

Oliver aimed a punch at the wall.

His best friend.

Another punch. He didn't even feel the pain. Just a light throbbing sensation.

His 7th year.

This time the contact stung a little.

His girl.

The pain was greater now, causing him to step away.

You-Know-Who was going to pay and Oliver would make sure of it. He had taken everything from Oliver and Oliver would fight back.

He looked down at his bloodied fist, healing it with a light touch of his wand before heading down. To his amusement he found Fred and George sitting criss-crossed on the ground surrounded by a bunch of fuzzy brown things that rolled around his freshly cleaned carpet!

"What-"

Veloce's face was inches away from his. "Oh Oliver, look isn't he the cutest?"

She was holding one of the fuzzy things, this one was a violent pink color the the exact shade of her hair.

"What are they?" Oliver asked ignoring the faint throbbing in his hand.

"We haven't figured out what to call them yet," Fred replied.

"Veloce helped us change the color-"

"Our muse, that's what she is-"

"I think we should call it a puff." Veloce said thoughtfully. "Veloce's puffs."

George cocked his head to the right. "Hmmm we'll take that into consideration."

Oliver watched with amusement as they played around with the fuzzies. One of them rolled over to Oliver and he picked it up gingerly.

"Aren't they just adorable?" Veloce squealed cuddling two against her face. Fred and George weren't far behind, trying to juggle them in the air and arguing over what other colors to turn them into. It was a close debate between Lavender and Orange. And suddenly Oliver realized that he wasn't alone. He would fight you-know-who, because as he looked around at their happy shining faces, he realized he had something worth fighting for.

The heading seemed to burn and bore into Katie's eyes. For the longest time she had tried to deny it, she had tried to prolong the idea that he was back- but now she couldn't. Katie Bell had always been fearless, but something inside of her broke the day that Cedric died. The day that Harry had claimed he was killed by you-know-who. Katie had been scared. She had been crushed. A new seed of doubt an hopelessness had grown and the idea that she could hypothetically die haunted her.

She reached over to the box of chocolates Leanne had sent her. They were quaffle shaped and she could tell Leanne had spent hours trying to perfect the grooves and details of a real quaffle in them. The thought comforted her. She would always have a friend who cared and would never leave her.

"Katie dear!" her mom called.

"Coming mum!" She covered the chocolates with a lid and skipped down the stairs.

Her mother was sitting on the couch. And her father was wearing his glasses. He never wore his glasses unless it was something serious. Katie wanted to step back retreat to the safety of her room but her feet had other idea.

"Katherine Bell."

She had always hated that tone.

"It's about school," Her mother started "Your father and I know you love your school dearly but we're-concerned."

Katie said nothing.

"There's been a lot of things on the news-you know about the bridge that just collapsed with no explanation and then all these unexplained mysterious deaths- it's because of your people right?"

Katie said nothing.

"It's nothing against you of course," her dad said "But we would feel safer if you-well if you stayed home this year."

Katie finally looked up. "But dad-I love Hogwarts! I can't not go!It's my final year!"

"Katie we've already let you go so far, and with all this going on-we just wan't you to be safe!"

"NO!" Katie screamed running up the stairs. "You don't know anything. You know nothing! No!"

Terrence Higgs had always been an obedient son. He had always listened. He had always put his family first. But sometimes you had to do things on your own.

"It hurt's doesn't it?" Alisha asked looking down at his freshly marked arm.

"Don't look at it." Terrence closed his eyes leaning back against the wall. "It's disgusting."

Alisha pulled up the sleeve covering the mark. "It's not who you are. Don't let it define you Terr."

"Easy for you to say." Terrence sighed stiffly.

"Why?" Alisha retorted quickly. "Because I'm not marked? Because I'm engaged to one? Is that supposed to make it better?"

Terrence laughed. "I thought you loved Ian. Shouldn't you be happy?"

Alisha shook her head. "I fell in love with an Ian. Just not this one."

"We're going to get out of this," Terrence turned to her and asked finally letting the tears fall down freely. "Right Ali?"

Alisha said nothing as they both looked up at the dark sky where the mark burned.

Leanne had never done anything like this before. She was amazed that she had even gotten so far. But this had to be done.

She had read the papers. She had read of the muggles that had been killed, the witches that had died fighting for them, the horrors that had been done, all in the name of magic.

She gingerly picked up a picture of her parents and dropped it into her bag. She wouldn't be the reason they ended up dead. She wouldn't let them pay for who she was. With a final look at her room she had called home for 17 years Leanne took a step forward.

The cold night breeze flew past her, pleading her to turn back, but Leanne knew it was for the best. She would protect her family, no matter what.

The Knight Bus stopped in front of her as soon as she stuck out her wand.

She looked back one last time before stepping in. The seats were nearly empty save the seat B17 where a familiar brunette sat.

"Katie?"

Her best friend looked up surprised. "Leanne-what are you doing here?"

"Same as you." Leanne said noticing Katie carrying a similar bag of her own.

Katie scooted down so Leanne could sit and asked "So you ready for this?"

Leanne nodded determined to not go back. "Let's go."
