I hope you enjoy! Much love!

-A few days later…

Ritsu watched from a top of a tree through the large glass window in the front church where his foster father was giving a prayer, his foster mother was there beside him. They looked…skinnier than when he last saw them, there was also sorrow in their eyes.

A pang of regret exploded in his chest. Ritsu had hoped that what he was about to do would cheer them up.

"Ritsu?"

Ritsu looked back to Takano; he was holding him close, kissing his nape for comfort. Ritsu smiled at this, Takano had been overly protective of him the past few days, Ritsu wasn't annoyed by it, it was cute how Takano was always clinging on to him.

After Takano had brought him back from England he had been busy with the new-born's they found at Sumi's estate. Ritsu was happy that Usami had agreed to try to see if they could get past the effects instead of killing them.

He hadn't heard from Misaki in a while, Shinobu, who visited frequently, said he was always in his room or gone somewhere else. He hasn't spoken with anyone; he'd been even avoiding Usagi-san.

Ritsu hoped Misaki would be fine soon.

There was also the fact that Kisa was now a new-born. Ritsu barely found out yesterday since Kisa and Yukina hadn't come out of their room for days. Luckily Kisa looked great, he was completely happy and Usami said he might make it along with Hatori.

Usami had come over to inspect Ritsu, Kisa, and Hatori. For Ritsu it was probably because he had Vampire blood already that he was able to survive this long. For both Kisa and Hatori, who had no Vampire blood, were solely focused on their partners.

"Ritsu?"

Ritsu smiled at Takano, "I'm fine Masamune. Let me do this alone please."

Takano nodded. "Just be careful, try not to run into humans."

Ritsu nodded. He was still a bit sensitive around humans and the amount of them in that Church was making it hard to breath, but he held it in.

He jumped down from the tree and quickly made his way inside the Church undetected. He went into his foster parent's room to leave a note on the night stand.

It read:

"I realize just how much you did for me. And, for that, I need to truly thank you – something I don't think I've appropriately done to date. Dad, thank you for telling me what I'm capable of. For giving me the support that I needed to build a dream to chase after and for believing that I have the talent to reach my goals.

Mom, thank you for giving me a shoulder to cry on and to let me know that my world wasn't crashing down around me – as much as I believed it was at the time.

Dad, thank you for understanding when I take a leap of faith. And for supporting me in my journey even if it doesn't seem logical at times. For recognizing that it's what I need to do, and hearing me out.

Mom, thank you for showing me how to fight for what I believe in. In life, love, and everything in between. For giving me the strength to stand up for myself and expect nothing less than the very best.

To both of you, Mom and Dad, thank you for showing me true love in its rarest form, what it feels like, and how it can extend beyond life's obstacles and challenges.

Without each of you, I'd be nowhere near the person I am – and the person I'm still working on becoming. There aren't enough words in the world to express my appreciation, but I think this is a good start. I love you both.

Please don't worry about me, I'm happy, I have found the person I love above anyone else and I have yet to tell him, I hope in the future I can see you again without fear.

I love you both.

-Ritsu Onodera"

Ritsu turned around and headed to his own room where he collected his picture of his parents on his night stand beside his bed.

He studied the picture. His beautiful mother had light brown hair and light blue eyes; she wore a light blue blouse and blue jeans. His father had red hair and green eyes, he was holding her. Then it was him in a tiny version in the middle of both of them. He had a big smile on his face.

Ritsu smiled. Those times were the best of his life, he wished they were still here with him now…

Ritsu frowned, his now keen sight catching…writing? Ritsu flipped the picture around.

There was writing on the back; he recognized the writing from his mother. It said:

"One night I had a dream I was walking alone the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of foot prints, other times there was only one.

This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,

"You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the tiring periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?"

"The Lord replied, "The years when you have seen only one set of foot prints, my child, is when I carried you."

Tears fell, startling him.

He…remembered. This was when he lost his mind. Only that in the end there was no reply and here…

Ritsu winced at the pain suddenly piecing through his head. He could have sworn he heard chains falling onto the floor. What was that? Chains?

Ritsu tensed as he heard someone turn the knob for his door. Someone was coming.

Without knowing how he did it he shifted outside the church. Ritsu blinked, how did he do that? He took in his surroundings, Takano was on the other side of the Church, he had to hurry back to him since the service was over and people would be coming out soon.

Ritsu quickly to Takano who was still up in the tree with a worried expression, Takano turned in his direction and ran to him. "Ritsu? What's wrong?" Takano held him close to his heart.

Ritsu looked up at him. "I'm fine." Ritsu smiled.

He remembered.

Everything.

How was it he was so calm?

"Don't hide anything from me, I want to know everything, your problems, your pain, everything."

"Really, I'm fine, I'm just happy to do this. Thank you for letting me come here." Ritsu reached up to kiss his lips. "Can we go home now?"

Takano's eyes darken. "Of course."

Takano reached for his phone and called Chiaki.

Ritsu leaned against Takano's chest. Ah, this was why he was so calm. Everything he went through was horrifying but Takano had always been there to comfort him whenever he needed it. He wasn't alone; he knew Takano would always come to save him.

He was happy. This is what he wanted.

Everything was somehow perfect.

-Chiaki

Hatori sighed tiredly on the beach. "Is he gone yet?"

Chiaki grinned. "He just left."

Hatori scowled at him. "And why did you keep leaving me and him alone?"

Chiaki laughed. "I had business to take care of Tori, sorry."

Hatori grumbled. "Can't believe that guy…"

Chiaki sat down next to Hatori. Takano had suggested to bring everyone back to the island since they needed a break from everything they been through. Luckily the hotel was fixed from their attack a few days ago. Chiaki couldn't believe that it was only a few days ago that this happened. It felt like yesterday.

Chiaki squeaked when Hatori suddenly grabbed him on his lap, Chiaki was now straddling him. "Tori!?"

Hatori laid his head in Chiaki's neck. "You're all mine."

Chiaki blushed at the husky voice. "Wh-why are you always like this when I mention Yuu?"

"Better if you never know."

"Ha? Why not?"

Hatori looked up at Chiaki, "Why have you been so busy lately?"

Chiaki looked away suddenly shy. "Business of course."

Hatori cocked his head, "You're lying." Hatori knew everything about him. There was nothing he could hide from him. Chiaki sighed; it's going to be hard to get away with things.

"I'm not-"

Hatori laid Chiaki down on the sand and loomed over him. He leaned down to where their lips were almost touching. "Tell me the truth. What was so important that you had to leave me and Yuu together?"

Chiaki blushed a furious red. "If you let me up I'll tell you!" Agh! He was hoping to do this later but he really wanted to do this now…Mostly to get it over with.

Hatori frowned at his behavior.

Chiaki scowled. "Do you want to know or not?"

Hatori studied Chiaki a little longer before lifting himself up. "Alright tell me."

"Ah, well…" Chiaki grabbed Hatori's arms and shifted them in their room. Chiaki pushed Hatori down to sit on the bed. "Well…"

Hatori reached up to caress his cheek. Why was Chiaki so nervous? "Chiaki?"

Chiaki reached inside his pocket to retrieve a red box.

Hatori froze. Chiaki scowled at himself as he forced himself to go on one knee.

"I love you Tori. I know that marriage isn't really important in the 'Vampire' world but I want to tie ourselves together in every way."

Hatori studied his blushing face, Chiaki was completely embarrassed right now, his head was turned to the side as he held out a beautiful blue diamond ring. Hatori reached for him and pulled him up. He held Chiaki tightly in his arms.

Chiaki sucked in a breath in surprise but forced himself to finish. "W-will you marry me Yoshiyuki?"

Hatori smiled. "I don't know why you even question." Chiaki blushed. He took the ring and put it on Hatori's finger. Hatori smiled, he threaded his fingers through Chiaki's. "Finally, finally, you belong only to me."

Hatori brought Chiaki down for a long passionate kiss.

-Misaki

Misaki shifted back into his room next to his bed. He rolled his tired muscles and dropped his bloodied sword. He was getting good with the sword now but he still hated it. It just reminded him of when he stabbed Sumi.

Misaki took off his armor; there were still some Rouges out there that were still causing trouble. In a way it was good since Misaki wanted to take his frustrations out on something. He took off his shirt and tossed it on the floor.

He was only a messenger, he wasn't supposed to wear this armor or go out to hunt but he didn't care. He needed to get away from everyone; his mind was still tortured on what happened a few days ago.

Misaki winced at the cut on his side, a Rogue managed to cut him before he decapitated him. Misaki looked around for some blood…

Misaki was startled to see Usagi-san sitting on the table. His piercing purple eyes studied him quietly. How did he not notice him before?

"What do you want Usagi-san?"

Usagi-san stood up. "Everyone is worried about you, especially your brother." Usagi-san was staring hard at the bloodied cut on his side.

Misaki looked away. He didn't have anything to say about it, what could he say at this point? He didn't want to be disturbed by anyone.

Usagi-san's eyes soften, "Misaki, please talk to me, say anything."

Misaki clenched his fists. "There is nothing to say."

Usagi-san sighed. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you everything about Sumi."

Misaki winced at the name. "It's none of my business now is it?"

"Misaki-"

"Just leave Usagi-san; I don't want to talk about this." Not when Sumi's bleak eyes was still playing through his minds eyes.

Misaki gasped as Usagi-san used his speed to appear right in front of him.

"Misaki, this is serious. I understand your pain-"

"Stop it," Misaki stepped back.

"So you have to stop hiding from me,"

Misaki tried to go around him but Usagi-san kept blocking him. "I said stop it, I don't want your help."

Usagi-san stepped closer. "Too bad. I let you have your time to grieve but I'm drawing the line when you're going out and fighting."

"This is my life, if I want to fight I will. You have no control over me Usagi-san." He hated himself right now, he was making everyone worried. He was being selfish, but just once, just once, even if it was killing him, he wanted time on his own with no worries, no pain. He wanted to drown himself in the fight.

Misaki summoned his cloud.

Usagi-san used his speed again to pin him down on his bed.

Oh no! Usagi-san was touching his arms! Panicked, Misaki tried to throw Usagi-san off of him but he wouldn't budge an inch. Usagi-san loomed over him.

Usagi-san closed his eyes in what looked to be a blissful expression. "Get off of me!" Misaki said desperately.

Usagi-san opened his eyes to stare down at Misaki lovingly. "Misaki, please."

Tears blurred his vision. W-what was he supposed to do now? He knows…

Usagi-san cocked his head. He must be feeling Misaki's distress.

Was he disgusted?

Did he hate him now!?

Usagi-san smiled gently. "Misaki…"

Misaki's eyes widened as Usagi-san leaned down to kiss his lips.

The small contact sent electric shocks through his system.

W-w-what was he doing!?

Usagi-san leaned up. "Do you have any idea how long I wanted to do that?"

Misaki's eyes widened. "W-what!?" He rasped.

Usagi-san…wanted to kiss him? He wanted to…

Misaki couldn't wrap his head around what was happening. Tears fell down his eyes.

Usagi-san leaned down to the crook of his neck. "I've been in love with you ever since you found me in a broken state. You gave me your blood to heal and the taste tortured me these many years."

Usagi-san kissed Misaki's erratic pulse.

"U-Usagi-san…"Usagi-san's cold hands send an intense heat throughout his body, he was sure that his cheeks were bright red.

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you about Sumi but when I found out that Sumi had tried to kill you over and over again I took action. He did confess to me but I turned him down not because of you but because I generally didn't love him."

Misaki was holding his breath through the whole thing. He understood why Usagi-san did what he did but he still felt like it was his fault.

-Usagi-san

Usagi-san studied Misaki's tortured expression. He knew his Misaki was blaming himself for everything that happened with Sumi when it was all him who started it.

Usagi-san sat up, instantly mourning Misaki's love for him. "I don't want you to deal with this alone. I started this and I can't bear to see that you're the one taking the hit."

Misaki shook his head. "But i-" Misaki stopped himself short.

But Usagi-san already knew since he was slightly still touching his bare stomach. It was because he was in love with Misaki that Sumi had tried to get revenge.

No matter what he was still his sweet Misaki who hated to hurt those he cared about.

Usagi-san couldn't bare it any longer. He grabbed Misaki up to his arms. "Even if you start to hate me I will do it all over again in order to protect you. I won't let anyone have you nor will I let you go. I made sure you didn't leave my side and I will not let you separate yourself from me." Misaki relaxed a bit in his arms, Usagi-san could tell he was slowly surrendering so he pushed a bit more.

"I love you Misaki, I have always loved you. I begged Takahiro to stay because I couldn't bare to be separated from you." Usagi-san smiled as Misaki slowly encircled his arms around his torso. "I'm here for you Misaki. I'll never leave you."

Misaki held him tighter, a sob escaping. Usagi-san felt his love for him grow accompanied by the desire to let the despair in his heart go. His gentle Misaki wasn't meant to be depressed or hate, he was meant to smile and laugh.

"U-Usagi-san." Misaki cried harder, his shoulders shaking with the force of his grief.

Usagi-san leaned back to briefly stare at Misaki's teary face before he kissed him. Misaki sucked in a breath in surprise but he shyly kissed him back.

Usagi-san moaned but forced himself to draw back. For now Misaki needed comfort.

But soon he will have all of Misaki.

All his.

Usagi-san turned around so that Misaki was sitting in his lap. He bit his wrist and fed Misaki so that the wound on his side would heal.

Once done Misaki tried to draw away from him but Usagi-san wouldn't let him. "Uh, I'm-I'm sorry."

Usagi-san smiled. He grabbed Misaki's chin and pulled it up to him. "I love you."

His eyes widened as a sweet warmth hit him.

His Misaki's love…

Usagi-san kissed him.

Don't worry in the next Chapter there will be lemon for MisakixUsagi XD Right now Misaki needs time to heal from his grief. I hoped you enjoyed! Have a great Sunday!
