Hello, yes, it is I, Comet96. I know, I know, you must have all thought I was dead. I am sorry I haven't updated in such a long time, but I've really had a hard time writing for this story - not because I don't know where it's going, but because I'm not as in love with The Walking Dead as I once was.

I love this story, I really do, but I've found it hard to find inspiration for this story. I have these moments where I fall out of love with TWD, and while I haven't found my love for the show again, I have told myself that I need to continue this story, not only for myself but for you guys. I'll try to continue this story even if it's a struggle.

I just hope you all enjoy this chapter - I feel that it's a bit short, but we'll be reaching Alexandria soon. Though I am warning you guys that my story will be turning into a slightly AU story soon.

I hope there are still people waiting for this story to be updated and I'm sorry it's taken so long.

Thank you and I hope you enjoy xx Comet96 xx

"Where's your dad?" I asked Carl as I woke from my sleep. We were in the back of a van, Beth and Lily were asleep with the twins in between them. Becca was talking to Sally as the older girl read to her from the book in her lap.

"He's gone with Noah, Michonne, Glenn and the others to Noah's settlement. You remember, don't you?" He sounded worried and I knew he was scared.

The last fifteen days had been a struggle for us with our supplies dwindling down to nothing. With twenty-seven of us, it was hard to ration the supplies that we had, seeing as it was so little. The last three days had been hell and I wasn't doing too well.

This pregnancy was harder than the last. Even though I was carrying tins the last time, this time I didn't seem to be getting enough nutrients to share between me and the baby. It was making me weak and I wasn't sure if I'd be able to make it much longer without supplies.

I knew Rick was giving me most of his rations and I had the feeling Daryl and Tyreese were doing the same. I didn't want to be a burden on the group, but I knew Rick couldn't watch me grow weaker.

"I remember, baby," I assured him, sitting up as I ran my hand over his cheek. "How long have they been gone?"

"A couple of hours. Dad checked in about twenty minutes ago saying they got there." He paused, sharing a look with Daryl as the man glanced over at us. Daryl shrugged at the silent question Carl was asking him. "It didn't sound too good."

The hope we had that this could be a safe place to live dropped at the disappointed look on Carl's face. Another place lost to the dead.

"It'll be okay, we'll find somewhere." We'd been through this before and we'd managed to survive. "We can—"

"Carol?" Rick's voice sounded urgent as he called for Carol through the walkie.

"Here," she muttered. Everyone in the truck grew tense as they waited for Rick to reply.

"We're on our way back." Static whispered through the radio making Rick's words quiet. "We lost one and Logan's been bit. We had to cut his arm off. He's alive, but I'm not sure if he'll make it."

"How far out are you?" Carol asked managing to stay calm.

How she managed to do it, I didn't know. Who was it that died? Glenn? Noah? Michonne? At least I didn't have to fear it being Rick, but Maggie might have lost her husband.

"Five minutes." His words were cut off by the static growing louder.

As if that was an order, Carol started getting together the few medical supplies we had. She turned to Holly, demanding her to gather what water could be spared.

I looked hopelessly to Daryl, only to find Tyreese settling in front of me, a soft smile playing on his lips.

"No need for you to get stressed out," he said, settling his hand on my knee. "Carol and Holly have everything under control and Bethy's going to help. You just need to rest."

"But I'm the doctor, I should be getting ready to help," I muttered weakly, trying to push myself up to help.

"Mom, you're not strong enough to get up," Carl said, his hand pressing down on my shoulder as I started to feel dizzy. He was right, but I didn't want to just sit here and be useless. "Mom, stop it."

"I can help."

"No, you can't," Carl argued, grabbing hold of my wrist and lifting my hand up. "You're shaking. You can't help." My eyes stung as tears rolled down my cheeks. I felt helpless just sitting here. "Go back to sleep, mom. You're straining yourself and you'll end up getting worse."

I knew he was right. I could feel my head getting heavier as my headache grew. I could feel my eyes drooping as my tiredness tried to take over. I could feel my whole body shaking as my hunger pains became stronger and I knew my stomach clenched with thirst.

I was growing weak and I wasn't sure how long I'd make it.

"Hey, Honey," Rick said, waking me as his fingers brushed against my cheek. I glanced at him, blinking until I saw him clearly. His face was splattered with blood and he had dark bags under his eyes from how tired he was.

"Is everything okay?" I asked, shifting up so I was leaning against the van wall. I reached out for his hand, rubbing his knuckles as he looked deflated.

"Logan lost his arm, but we managed to keep him alive." He paused, his eyes dropping to Carl as he slept next to me. I could feel the van moving, so I assumed we'd set off away from Noah's settlement. "We lost Simon."

So that was who we lost. It may have been selfish of me to say, but I was glad it was Simon we lost and not Glenn or Michonne. It may have been cruel, but I'd only known Simon for fifteen days.

"I'm sorry," I muttered, bringing his hand to my lips and pressing a kiss to his palm. "What's wrong?" I could tell that there was something else bothering him.

"We haven't got much gas left. We'll be walking soon if we can't find any more." His eyes flicked to my stomach and I knew why he was worried. He was scared I wouldn't be able to keep up.

"We'll be okay, Rick. You know that right?" He nodded but he didn't say anything else, just wrapped me in his arms and closed his eyes.

My feet hurt the most, but I wasn't going to complain about it. I told the group I was okay to walk. I told them I wouldn't hold them back. The one we should be worrying about was Logan.

Since losing his arm, he'd slowly started to go loopy as well. I had seen the look in his eyes as he looked at me or the twins. His gaze lingered, and it wasn't in a good way. It was like he was calculating something.

"We'll rest here for a while," Rick called out. He shared a look with Daryl before the hunter walked off into the woods, Carol following him. Michonne and Sasha checked the area while Rick, Glenn, Maggie, Holly, and Tyreese discussed what we were going to do next. Angelo and Michael continued to walk down the road, no doubt scouting ahead before we left.

Beth rocked a fussy Judith while Carl helped Lily change Theo while Becca stood watching in case anything happened. The younger girl had a gun in her hand as she flicked her eyes between her sister and the road.

"Bethy," I called to the girl. I could feel more than her eyes on me. "I'm just going to the toilet." I nodded to the woods only a few spaces away from us and gave her a small smile.

Beth looked concerned for a minute but relaxed when Sally stepped next to me, her gun out. Noah joined her and the two gave Beth a reassuring nod.

"You know you don't have to come with me," I said to them both as they led the way into the woods.

"Yeah, and watch the whole group go apeshit because you went alone," Sally replied, waving Noah away when I leaned against a tree and unbuttoned my jeans. "Rick would have gone with you if you asked."

"I know what Rick would do, I just need a few minutes away from him," I grumbled, trying to crouch. Sally's hand looped under my arm, giving me the support I needed to crouch. "Thanks."

"You having problems with Rick?" she asked, furrowing her brow. I laughed lightly as I rose, slipping my underwear and jeans back up.

"No, but he won't leave me alone and every look he gives me shows how worried he is." As Sally let go of my arm, I pulled my gun from my ankle.

"Stop," Noah said, causing us to look up at him in shock. Logan stood behind him, knife to Noah's throat.

"What are you doing?" I asked, gripping my gun with both hands and rising it at Logan.

"Put it down!" Logan snapped, tightening his grip on Noah. I didn't know how he was doing it with only one arm, but I knew it had something to do with his military background. "I'll kill him. I'll do it."

"What do you want Logan?" I asked stepping forward slowly. I didn't want to startle him. I didn't want Noah to get hurt.

"I want you dead." Okay, I wasn't expecting that. "I want those babies dead and I want those girls dead." A fire bubbled in my stomach at the thought of anyone hurting the twins or the girls. Why would he want to hurt them? As if reading my mind, Logan answered. "You're slowing us down. Those babies are a danger to us, they'll draw the dead in. That baby will be the end of us. I've got to end you. I've got to end it all."

I wasn't going to let that happen. I wasn't going to let anyone get hurt. I shared a look with Noah, watch as he tilted his head to the right slightly. Seeing Sally shift from the corner of my eye, I turned to look at her. She had her gun raised and was slowly moving her way around Logan. She flicked her eyes to me before nodding to Logan and Noah and flexing her hand on the trigger.

Shooting my eyes back to Noah, I watched as he solely brought his hands up while Logan kept his eyes on me. Logan was talking, no words filtering in my mind as I watched Noah grab hold on the knife at his hip. He carefully brought the knife up, making sure his movements were slow. Within a second, Noah stabbed Logan in the arm and dropped out of his embrace.

Without thinking, I fired my gun, hearing the loud crack as the bullet pierced Logan's head. At the same time, Sally shot him as well, the bullet also piercing his head. Logan's body dropped to the floor, but I glanced at Noah, watching as he held his hand tightly to his neck.

"Noah," I called, rushing to his side. His neck was bleeding, and I moved his hand away. The cut wasn't too deep, and he hadn't cut an artery. "It's not too bad, you'll be fine," I assured him taking Sally's shirt as she offered it to me.

"Fay!" Ricked yelled, rushing to join us. He slowed down as he saw Logan's body on the floor before darting his eyes to me. "What happened?"

Maggie stumbled to a stop as she joined us, Glenn, Tyreese and Carl following her. She quickly dropped to her knees beside me and helped Noah get to his feet.

"Logan wanted to kill me," I said as I got to my feet with Tyreese's help. "He wanted to kill the twins and he wanted to kill Becca and Lily."

"Why?" Ricked asked, the anger evident in his voice.

"He said they were a weakness. He said they were only a danger to us," Sally said, bending down and taking the knife from Logan. She fumbled with his shirt before lifting his gun off his body as well.

"Who killed him?" Maggie questioned, her eyes darting from Logan and Rick.

"Both of us," I answered gesturing between me and Sally. "He had a knife to Noah's throat, it was the only way."

"No one's blaming you," Glenn said, coming to my side and resting his hand on my shoulder. "He tried to kill Noah, he was going to kill you. He deserved it."

"Come on, let's get back to the others," Rick ordered, giving one last look at Logan before waving the others off. Carl came to my side and took my hand in his. "Beth's worried about you," Rick added as he walked beside us.

"I guess she would be. I told her I was going for a wee," I said, smiling a little as Rick chuckled. It was hard to hear that from him nowadays.

Michonne looked revealed when we all came stumbling out of the woods and Beth cried out in relief. Holly came to my side, her hand resting on my stomach as she gave me a questioning look.

"I'm okay, the baby's okay," I assured her, setting my hand over hers.

"What happened?" Michonne asked, looking to Rick for an answer. I could see that everyone else wanted to know as well, and I knew they weren't stupid. They'd see that Logan wasn't here.

I could see and hear Angelo and Michael rushing to us and I wondered how long it would be before Daryl and Carl returned.

"Logan tried to get to Fay to kill her. He held Noah and knifepoint, but Sally and Fay killed him before he could do much damage," Rick explained, running his hand down my back. "It's not safe to stay here. I want everyone prepared to go. Keep your eyes open. We're leaving as soon as Daryl and Carol return."
