Chapter 52
Gaz stirred in her sleep as her cell phone was going off. She blindly searched for it because Zim, who was for once asleep, started to wake up. He was already sick with pain from what he clamed was a "mature growth spirt". Gaz managed to find it quickly.
Gaz read the caller ID and flipped it open to answer. "Dib, now's not the time. Do you even know what time it is?"
"I know what time it is, but I need to talk to Zim."
Gaz was a little more awake now by the surprise of who her brother wanted to talk to. "Why?"
"Just get him on the phone; it's important."
Gaz sighed as she turned over to look at Zim, who was shirtless and dead to the world. "Zim...Zim, wake up," she called as she poked his head.
Zim groaned. "What?"
"The calls for you." She was handing him the phone.
"If it's your brother, tell him it can wait for tomorrow. I don't want to deal with it right now."
"He said it's important."
Zim groaned again and sat up. He took the phone from Gaz and put an arm around her as she tried to go back to sleep on him. "What do you want, Dib-Stick. Can't your 'need to protect the planet from me' wait till tomorrow?"
"Zim, there's something in my backyard and it looks like it belongs to you."
Zim rubbed his eyes. "What are you talking about?"
"There's a ship that looks like it belongs to your race and your dead cousin is in it. Why is Fin in it?"
Zim was now wide awake and silent for a moment. "We'll be right over." He hung up the phone as he got up from under Gaz.
"What's going on," she asked.
"Your brother clams that he found Fin in his backyard. He thinks Fin is dead, so he's freaking out right now. I just hope that my lie didn't come true." He found a muscle shirt and put it on. "Are you coming with me or not?" he asked as he was looking for his disguise.
Gaz out off the bed and found a pair of shoes since she was ready wearing a tank top and pajama pants.
