Slowly, the days went by and it was now the end of August; Olivia was a little over a month old and had been improving greatly. She was still a little on the small side but her weight had increased to the normal for her age; Rachel and Eddie had gone to the hospital twice a day since she had been born. On the Saturday morning, they had gotten the kids ready before heading to the hospital where the doctor was checking over Olivia.

"Doctor Jones, is there something wrong?" Rachel asked, balancing Ronnie on her hip.

"Quite the opposite in fact" she answered as she turned round and revealed the little girl in her arms.

"Oh my god, I can finally hold her?"

"You can do better than that; I'm discharging her this afternoon"

"Really?!"she whispered, tears forming in her eyes.

"Really; she's perfect guys" she said, handing Olivia to Rachel after Eddie took Ronnie.

"If you come back around four, I'll discharge her"

"Thank you" Eddie answered, seeing as Rachel was too engrossed in her daughter.

"No problen; I'll see you later"

As the doctor left, Rachel sat down and stared at her daughter as Ronnie sat on Eddie's lap and Michael stood next to her.

"She's amazing; she's coming home Eddie. Our baby girl is coming home"

"Yeah, she is; hear that guys? YouR little sister is coming home. No more coming up to the hospital everyday; just us at home"

"She cry?" Ronnie asked softly.

"All babies cry honey but that's because she's going to be scared of her new home" Eddie explained.

"So we cant play?"

"You can but you have to be quiet and very gentle around your sister"

"No cuddles with mommy?" She whimpered.

"Baby girl, I promise, you can always cuddle with mommy; we'll have special mommy and Ronnie time so you can tell me all about the fun things you did at school"

"No school" she sobbed, just as Rachel had expected; everytime it had been mentioned over the last four weeks, Ronnie had cried and insisted on not going.

"I'll look after you Ronnie; I'll play with you too" Michael said.

"No school" she releated, crying harder.

Eddie took her out in the corridor to try and calm her down but she got so worked up, she threw up on the floor; he rubbed her back and apologised before he told Rachel and the left. While Eddie played a game with Michael, Rachel took her daughter upstairs, gave her a quick bath and got her changed before sitting on the bed; she held her daughter close and kissed her forehead.

"You cant keep doing this baby girl; no matter how upset you get or how much you cry or make yourself sick, I am not going to let you stay at home. You have to go to school"

"You no love me; you send me away"

"I'm not sending you away, I would never do that"

"I hate you; no like you no more" she screamed before running into her bedroom and slamming her door. Rachel sighed and left her for a few minutes to calm down until she heard a crash and bang from the room; when she opened the door, all the cuddly toys were on the floor as were her books and princess snow globe, smashed to little pieces. Not wanting her daughter to hurt herself, she picked her up and sat on the bed, not flinching when Ronnie hit her four times in an attempt to escaped but eventually broke down crying.

"Baby girl, talk to me" she asked softly as she tried to fight back her own tears.

"No" she half shouted, half sobbed.

"Mommy isnt going to shout at you for shouting at me or messing up your room"

"Me hate you"

"Why do you hate me?" She whispered, hoping she would get somewhere.

"Me no talk to you" she said as she freed herself from Rachel's grip amd dove under her covers. Knowing her daughter wasnt going to give in so easily, she picked up the broken glass as tears fell from her eyes; she went downstairs and put them in the bin before sitting up to the breakfast bar, head in her hands as she sobbed.

"RaRa!" Nikki said as she sat at her feet.

Rachel sniffed as she lifted the little girl into her lap.

"Where's your mommy, eh? I want you to promise me that you will never say you hate your mommy or daddy. It really hurts" she sobbed.

"RaRa sad"

"Yeah. I'm sad sweetie"

"What's wrong?" Eddie asked as he stood behind her, resting his hands on her shoulders.

"I...you should talk to your daughter; I'm gonna put the carry seat in the car and go back to the hospital. I cant be here right now"

"What happened? I heard a door slam and some banging..."

"Go and see for yourself; and find out why the hell she said she hates me" she sobbed as she left the kitchen.

"Rache..."

"Eddie please..."

"Okay; but please, see if Phil can go with you? I dont want you driving whilst you are this emotional"

"Fine" she sighed.

As Rachel headed to the hospital with Phil, Eddie made sure Michael was okay watching cartoons while he went upstairs; he knocked on the door and slowly opened it. He was shocked to see just how angry his daughter had gotten but it broke his heart to hear her cry like she was; he sat on the bed and gently prised the duvet from over his daughter's head.

"Ronnie, daddy needs to talk to you"

"No" she sniffled.

"I wasnt adking, I was telling so look at me please" he said, more sternly.

Ronnie sniffled, knowing he was serious and looked at him, tears still cascading down her cheeks.

"What happened with mommy?"

Ronnie stared at him.

"Why did you make mommy cry?"

Again, she didnt answer.

"I'm serious Ronnie, you really hurt mommy and I'm not happy either; why...why do you hate her? What did she do?"

Seeing how angry Eddie was, Ronnie gripped her teddy in her arms and cried.

"Scared daddy" she whispered.

"Of what?"

"You shout?"

"Because mommy is really sad; princess, are you scared about leaving mommy to go to school?"

Ronnie nodded before Eddie scooped her into his arms and onto his lap.

"Mommy isnt going anywhere, I promise; when you go to school, she's still going to be here"

"She...wont leave me?"

"I promise; she'll take you to school, pick you up and spend time with you before your brother comes home. She's scared about you going to school too but you know what she is thinking?"

"No" she sniffed as he wiped away her tears and put her hair right.

"That you are going to make lots of friends and have lots of fun and learn lots of things"

"Michael there too"

"Yeah, he's there too and he'll play with you but every time you get upset like this, it hurts mommy; and when you said you hated her, that really hurt her princess"

"Sorry daddy"

"It's mommy you need to say sorry too, not me"

"She...down..."

"She went to the hospital; if you tidy all of your toys away, I'll take you to see her"

"Daddy"

"Yes princess"

"Me thirsty"

"Tidy your room and you can have a drink"

"Okay" she answered quietly as she slid off his lap and started picking up her toys.
