Hi minna-san! I'm here with another chapter! I hope you like it and thank you for the reviews for the last chapter, thank you very much! It is almost Friday! I just want the weekend to come soon!

Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha, but I do own Makoto and Kisara.

"Kikyo-..sama," Makoto muttered and knew that it was a name that rang a bell in his mind. He remembered his mother speaking of her once when she and her father went by themselves to visit someone by that name, but Shippo told him that she wasn't in the land of the living.

"Come with me." She had said simply and turned around to walk away from him. Makoto bit his lip, unsure whether to follow the woman, she was still a stranger to him.

The older woman gazed at him over her shoulder, contemplating if he were to follow her or not, but her question was soon answered. Makoto rose to his feet wandering a good three feet when she turned to continue on.

"Onii-chan," Kisara held a dark purple blanket tighter to her body. It was only a few hours ever since the demoness arrived at their home. Her blue eyes watered at the paleness that overtook her brother, he wasn't breathing as much as he was earlier.

She could hear her father's shouts of anger outside the hut, calling for her uncle, bellowing that he should be around at a time like this. Her ears twitched to hear a name that her brother had muttered ever so weakly.

"Nishiyo-sama, why is it that after a week since the conflict with InuKimi, are his powers reacting like this?" Kagome asked leaning against her husband, using him as her pillar of strength. She didn't have enough willpower to see what she did not clearly see in her son's conflict.

"Kagome-chan," Nishiyo said worriedly,"Your son's yōki and reiki take time to level out. As a result of this new power he discharged, the demonic energy was overpowering the spiritual part, ever since then your son's reiki is now fighting for dominance. Whether it be yōki or reiki, they are both hostile to one another, it is crucial to Makoto because he is yet still young. He does not fully grasp all of his yōki nor his reiki."

The female dog demon paused in speaking, putting a finger to her chin, and appeared to be thinking of another way to save the boy.

"Where is that bastard when you need him?" Inuyasha growled in anger, his golden eyes flicking upwards, he never did see his older-half brother leave the village since they arrived.

Kagome, in a crestfallen condition, stared at her shoji door. Please kami-sama, don't take our baby away from us.

"It is best that you stay outside for a moments time. I will look after Makoto-kun and see if he is doing well," Nishiyo gave the miko a small, melancholy smile, before turning away to enter the hut.

Kagome turned to look at her husband as he enveloped her in his arms, his calloused hands placed on her bulged stomach,"Inuyasha I'm…scared." She had whispered wistfully with her eyes closed shut, not wanting to break down and weep. She had to be strong, for her and her son, she knew that her baby boy would make it.

He nodded grimly as he pulled her closer,"Me too, Kagome." Inuyasha stared longingly at the shoji door that slid open, his ears flicked to hear his daughter's sobs as she emerged from their home.

Shippo had gone a few minutes earlier to retrieve Kaede from her hut and wasn't back yet. Kisara, holding the blanket she had earlier, around her small figure, trotting slowly to her parents,"Onii-chan isn't waking up, why isn't he? I want my Onii-chan back."

Kagome opened her arms to embrace her daughter,"As do we, Kisara."

Makoto's eyes widened at the sight of the forest and how is seemed to appear as if it were a dream. His eyes flicked toward the raven-haired miko who walked steps away, her countenance held a strong expression yet she seemed to be pondering over somethings. "Um…where are we, Kikyo-sama?"

The miko glanced his way and paused, her gray eyes fixed on the mighty tree that they now stood in front of,"This tree is very special, it holds memories of all that are near."

Makoto turned his attention from the miko to the tree,"It's the Goshinboku…" He whispered in awe, yet it added more suspicion to where he was exactly. He noticed the miko was about to open her mouth but kept it closed when he reached out to touch the god tree.

His eyes dilated as a memory played in his mind, it was after he had to do that test that his uncle's mother had made for him.

"Did Hii-ojiisan ever slap you with an ofuda?" Makoto asked his father, staring up at him with a questioning gaze. An irritated look appeared on the older half-demon's face, a fist clenched and his eye twitched in annoyance. So the old man wanted to purify him without thinking that it was his great-grandchild.

If one could see very closely, you could see steam coming out of his father's ears, bringing sheer enjoyment to the young pup. Makoto smirked,"At least he didn't have any spiritual powers and if he did, I don't think it'll be much, he's weak and old for his age."

He noticed his mother put a hand on her hip, turn her head over to look at him, and an eyebrow rose in a reprimanding manner. Dog ears lowered at the silent scolding, Makoto's blue eyes pleaded for forgiveness for saying such a thing, in which his mother quickly accepted.

"Inuyasha, can you please check on Kisara, she's outside sitting on the veranda." Kagome smiled in gratitude that her husband stood up from the chair and ambled to the slightly open shoji door.

Makoto watched his father leave and turned his attention when he heard his mother clear her throat. "You didn't cause any trouble over there, did you?"

Kagome saw her son shake his head and she chuckled,"I know you didn't, you are a good boy, but that time is different then it is here." Her eyes caught his head tilt to the side in confusion, reminding her of a puppy begging for food. A smile crept up on her countenance, blue eyes glinting at her son's curiosity, so she continued on speaking.

"Obviously the smells are a lot different over there," Kagome exclaimed, remembering the days when the group searched for the shards, and whenever Inuyasha came over to her time. He had always complained about her world and how it stunk. She didn't disagree, however she didn't know, being that she didn't have his sense of smell. Although she knew that the polluted air must have affected him so.

Makoto grimaced at the memory,"It smelt like…like-" His brows knitted in confusion, he didn't know how to describe the smells in that time, but it just smelled very eerie.

"Yes, I know," Kagome said softly, her eyes half-lidded in reminisce.

"Haha-ue, do you not miss your family? Didn't you ever want to return to them?" He asked curiously, his eyes watching his mother. Kagome gave him a look that he knew all too well,"Sometimes, you have to make a choice and my choice was one that I don't ever regret, even if it means I had to give up my family."

Pulling his hand away he looked over to the miko who smiled slightly. "I assume you realize that what I said was what I meant."

The Inu-pup nodded a little and pressed the palm of his hand back onto the tree, his eyes closed, but he could still feel tears run down his cheeks. He missed them. He missed the floral smell that radiated off his mother, bringing him comfort and calmness. He missed the way his father would arrogantly stand up to any demon that wanted to harm them, he never lost a battle to them either.

He missed how his little sister would keep poking and prodding, begging for him to play, and he would always tell her to leave. He regretted not spending as much time with her, but he still loved her dearly when she wouldn't see it.

"I want to go home." Those five words made him turn his head over his shoulder, eyes narrowed at the miko who kept a firm look on her face.

"It would seem so, but now is not the time, your reiki is out of control. If you leave now, you will pass away from excruciating pain," Kikyo answered earnestly. Makoto frowned and opened his mouth to retort, angered that he wouldn't get to see his family soon.

Yet, a jolt of electrifying agony ran up his spine, tensing all the bones in his body. The miko slowly reached out to hold him in place,"Training is what you need."

Nishiyo's eyes narrowed, this is not good, his reiki is overpowering his yōki tremendously, if this continuesHer thoughts stopped when she was zapped backwards.

She crashed into the wall and recovered rather quickly from the blast. "Oh my…it is worse than I have perceived." Nishiyo quickly rose to her feet in a hasty manner, hearing the shuffling feet near the shoji door that was then slammed open.

"Oi, what the-" Inuyasha bellowed at first but the first glance of his son's motionless body made him feel weak. "Inuyasha, don't let Kagome-chan inside, his condition is getting-" Nishiyo stopped and sighed heavily before continuing,"Don't let her in. His temperature is rising, his pulse is racing and I do not know if…if he can…" She trailed off, glancing away from her pain-struck nephew.

Author's Note

Gomen minna-san, I would've updated earlier if it had not been that I recently found out that I had exams tomorrow. As for the explanation on why Inuyasha was never informed over why he had an aunt and uncle, will be answered for the next chapter. I felt that it was not the right time for it to be explained as of yet.

Thank you:

InuHanyo Jamie - Logging takes quite some time lol, I do that sometimes too. So now she'll help him. :) Thank you.
Princess Inume - I do hope that your question was explained in the chapter towards what she'll do. :)
Cpsullivan2 - I know, sorry for not writing it, but it didn't feel like the right time to write that conversation yet. I hope the question to why his powers are at war with each other was answered. And for the part where she will help, you are absolutely right! Sadly, Sesshoumaru wasn't in this chapter as well. :D
Inu-chan - No he isn't dead;however, he is on the brink if his powers aren't balanced.
Inuyasha Kagome For and Ever - Yes, it was wasn't it? Glad you loved it :)
MeTheAnimeLover7 - Many thanks :D I have everything planned out, so you readers will see what happens to Makoto-kun. :)
Elfen Children - Sorry I stopped there, it must have been a shocker. :)
Guest - Well, this is part of what happens to him. Thanks!
extremeracer19 - Thanks, I guess so, more like his soul, I think. :)

Thank you everyone, I do hope all the questions you had in mind were answered, in someway in this chapter. This will be divided into two, I might not post tomorrow or Thursday, but who knows?
