A/N: with this post I'm half-way though. When I started I wasn't sure I'd even make it here, it seemed daunting, so 50 more words to go, and only 53 days to go until a new episode of Bones. Time really does fly.

"No don't go! I want you to stay here with us." Christine sobbed while clinging to Parker.

Booth took her into his arms and hugged her close. "Shh baby girl. It's okay. Parker has to go home to his mommy, but he'll be back."

She buried her face in his chest and continued to cry. Parker on the verge of tears himself leaned in close and rubbing her back said "Hey there Minion, I have to go back because school will be starting soon and I go to school in England."

Turning her head to look at Parker, but still resting against her Daddy, Christine replied "You can go to school here with me." Tears still ran down her face.

Parker continued "But my mom is there and I'm the only kid she has. Just think how sad your mommy would be if you went away and never came back."

Christine looked at her mommy, then at Parker and just shook her head no.

"Besides I have a short school break in October, right? It's just for a few days but I'll visit then. I already have my airline ticket. Right Dad?"

Booth nodded and addressed Christine. "We'll mark it on your calendar when we get home." He gave her a kiss on her cheek then she laid her head back on his chest. Booth pulled Parker to him for a hug. As Parker hugged him back Booth kissed the back of his head. "I love you Sport. I'll be missing you too." As Booth choked up he continued. "We'll have our regular video chats until you make it back here. Be good; don't give your mom trouble."

As Parker stepped back from Booth, Brennan approached and gave him a hug with Hank sandwiched in the middle. "I will also miss you Parker. I really enjoy having you here with us and find I feel a part of me is leaving with you." She told him with tears in her eyes.

Booth cleared his throat. "It looks like it's time for you to go, the airline employee here will accompany you onto the plane. We'll stay here until the plane takes off. Okay?"

"Dad I'm not a little kid. I don't need to be led around like one."

"Son, as long as it's available for you we'll be making use of the unaccompanied minor service. I makes your mom, and me, and Bones feel better. Right Bones?"

Brennan nodded and smiled. "Yes."

One more round of hugs and byes and Parker walked off with the attendant. They then found seats and waited through the boarding of the rest of the passengers, the plane backing away from the gate, then taxying up the runway, and finally taking off.

Once the plane was in the air and on its way Booth and Brennan rose, each carrying a sleeping child "I don't think I'm ready to go home yet. Maybe we could stop off somewhere get something to eat."

Brennan looked at Booth. "Don't want to face his empty room?" She asked. Booth pressed his lips together with tears in his eyes and just nodded.
