"Today, twenty years ago, I gave my heart to you...and you gave yours to me. We haven't had a perfect marriage, some days had more tears than anything, but overall our good days far outweigh the bad. We've been through so much together, four pregnancies, three births, we've raised four amazing kids together, we lost family members when your dad and my abuela died, but we gained family too every time Hannah had a kid and when Noah and Madison gave us our amazing grandchildren." Santana smiled, wiping the tears in her eyes, before wiping the tears streaming down Brittany's. "I've made mistakes, you've made mistakes but in the end, you're it for me, Baby. There's no one I would rather go through life with. You are the sunshine on rainy days, you're my light at the end of a dark tunnel, you're the cherry on the top of life's ice cream sundae. I owe my life to you, you've pulled me from the darkest holes I've been in and revived me, you saved me when I couldn't and didn't know how to save myself. I can be a bitch, I scream, I yell, I put up every defense mechanism possible when I'm hurt or scared, but you know how to see past my flaws, and you love me anyways. Your love is what keeps me going, it always has, and it always will. I love you and happy anniversary." She whispered before leaning forward and kissing Brittany.

Brittany deepened the kiss and sighed when it broke. "Twenty years has felt like a lifetime with you, a lifetime that I wouldn't trade for the world. You've seen me at my worst and at my best. You're my wife, my best friend, my doctor, my lawyer, my personal jukebox, my trainer, my chef, my diary, my lover, my confidante...my better half. When I got lupus you never left my side, you were at every doctor's appointment, every flare up you've been right by my side, the nights I didn't think I would make it..." She rattled off as tears clouded her eyes and she choked on a sob. "In London when I didn't think I was going to make it, you never showed fear. You've always been my protector, always stood up for me, always took care of me, always stayed strong for me." She took a breath as Santana used her thumb to wipe Brittany's tears away. "You are my heart, San. I don't know where I would be without your love, baby. I can't wait to see what else we experience together...good or bad. You make life less hard, less scary, less negative...here's to twenty more, and twenty more, and twenty more years after that." She raised her champagne glass and clinked it with Santana's. The Latina leaned over the table and kissed Brittany deeply before lifting her hand and kissing her wedding ring. "I love you Santana, so much, so much it hurts."

Santana wiped her eyes. "Fuck B, I don't have on water proof mascara." She teased. Brittany laughed and kissed her again softly. The Latina then stood up and walked over to the keyboard she had outside. Santana arranged a decadent and lavish dinner out on the beach for the two of them. Their table was right on the edge of the beach to the tide brushed over their feet as they ate the five course meal that a private chef grilled right outside for them. They ate at sunset so the sky was filled with splashes of purple, oranges, and reds, painting the perfect backdrop for them

"I get a song?" Brittany asked excitedly.

"Of course." Santana nodded as she sat down and motioned for Brittany to sit at the chair she positioned to the side.

Santana began to sing right as she started to play on the piano.

Right there
In a middle of a conversation
Wasn't anything special you said
It was just there

Right then
I didn't have time even over think it
I looked at you and all of a sudden (haha) I was all in

It's like my knees are all weak and them butterflies
They were dancing taking all of my air
From that moment on it was very clear

She looked right in Brittany's eyes and smiled brightly as she continued to sing, feeling her voice crack slightly.

That's when I knew I fell in love
That's when I knew you were the one
That's when I knew you stole my heart away from me
That's when I knew that I was sunk
That was the moment that I knew I was in love
That's when I knew... that's when I knew... that's when I knew

Brittany blushed and wiped the tears from her eyes as she stood up and walked closer to Santana, wanting to be close to her wife.

That day
I didn't know where we were going
Where the night would end
I didn't know there was somethin' brewing, and if it was
I didn't know how much I'd care

Santana stopped singing and closed her eyes, a few tears spilling out of her eyes from the pain in her throat and the general feeling of being verwhelmed by the moment and the song. She took a few sips of water, letting it slide down her throat before exhaling and starting to sing again.

That touch
When you barely held my hand
I was overcome with feelings I don't understand
Not in a millions years I didn't think that we'd be here

It's like my knees are all weak and them butterflies
Got me dancing taking all of my air
From that moment on it was very very very very clear, ohhhh

Santana paused and cleared her throat, reaching for the bottle of water she set next to the keyboard, Brittany sat next to her on the bench and rubbed her back. "It's okay, San, you don't have to finish." She told her softly, she heard Santana struggling through the song, and knew she needed to rest her voice for a performance when they got back in LA.

"I can finish, B." Santana replied quickly as she started to play the keyboard again and struggled through next part. She had to stop and clear her throat in between small sips of water and deep breaths.

That's when I knew I fell in love
That's when I knew you were the one
That's when I knew you stole my heart away from me
That's when I knew that I was sunk
That was the moment that I knew I was in love
That's when I knew... that's when I knew... that's when I knew
Don't you know it, hey
That's when I knew... that's when I knew... that's when I knew, baby

Santana nodded to herself when her voice seemed to get a little stronger and she began to sing harder while looking deep in Brittany's eyes.

You know if you know
You know whatcha feel
And there's no denying
I know that's for real
There's nothing to do
Just let it in
Gotta surrender

"Fuck." She groaned when her throat began to burn, she continued to sing through the pain, determined to finish the song. Brittany rubbed her lower back in support, knowing how hard it was for Santana to not be able to sing to her flawlessly like she used to.

That's when I knew I fell in love
That's when I knew you were the one
That's when I knew you stole my heart away from me
That's when I knew that I was sunk
That was the moment that I knew I fell in love

Santana stopped playing and grabbed Brittany's hands as she sang the last part softly.

That's when I knew it... that minute
That's when I knew... it was dependable
Sometimes you get it
Sometimes you get it
That's when I knew it baby
Yeah... that's when I knew... that's when I knew we fell in love

Brittany hugged her tightly and kissed her. "Dance with me." She stood and grabbed Santana's hand, pulling her up and held her tightly as she started to sway.

"Want me to sing something?" Santana asked.

Brittany shook her head and began to sing softly as Santana rested her head on her wife's chest.

Sometimes I feel... like I don't belong anywhere.
And it's gonna take... so long for me to get to somewhere...

Sometimes I feel so heavy hearted.., but I can't explain cuz I'm so guarded.
But that's a lonely road to travel, and a heavy load to... bear.

Santana glanced up at Brittany as she sang an interlude from one of her older albums. "B..." She whispered, cocking her head to the side in confusion. Brittany kissed her on the forehead and continued to sing.

And it's a long, long way to heaven but I gotta get there...
Can you send an angel...?
Can you send me an angel... to guide me.

Brittany exhaled deeply before she twirled Santana around, the Latina stared at Brittany and hugged her tightly as they continued to sway slowly together, the waves crashing gently at their feet.

After dancing to their own beat, each taking turns humming the pair went back to their hotel suite and took a long hot bath together, complete with rose petals. Santana then gave Brittany a full body massage, wanting to make sure she was nice and loose after the hot day they spent outside. They pair had been in Dubai for three days already and have enjoyed every minute of their trip. They did a few safaris and lounged out by the beach, they did a ton of shopping wanting to use the 2nd half of their trip to just relax. They cut their trip in half, and only planned to stay a week, since their kids had a lot going on with school and with the trip to Paris for Brittany's studio anniversary they knew they needed to be in LA to get things organized and were both oaky with cutting the trip short.

Santana set Brittany's leg down and rubbed her knee before placing a soft kiss there. "Feeling okay?"

Brittany nodded. "I'm okay, taking the extra pill this morning was a good call." She winked as Santana laid down next to her and ran her hand up and down Brittany's naked body before kissing her.

"Good, because I have plans for your body all damn night." Santana laughed as she rolled on top of Brittany and laid flush on her. She deepened the kiss as Brittany's hands gripped her butt and squeezed there as Santana kissed down her neck. The Latina sat up and straddled Brittany, who moved her hands to her wife's chest and immediately sat up and played with her breasts, kissing and licking around the, Santana lowly moaning in pleasure as she tangled her fingers in Brittany's hair.

"You are so beautiful Sanny." Brittany told her staring at her body. "So fuckin beautiful, your body is amazing, always has been." She added as she took an erect nipple in her mouth and sucked loudly on it, Santana's back arching, pushing her chest more into Brittany's mouth. Brittany continued to pleasure Santana by playing with her chest, making sure to give each breast equal attention, Santana moved over to sit on Brittany's thigh and began to rock slowly, pushing her knee right into Brittany's core, wanting to pleasure Brittany at the same time.

"Lay down." Santana then rasped, clearing her throat. She crawled down the bed and opened Brittany's legs wide and blew in her core softly. She then wiggled to get comfortable, setting Brittany's legs on her shoulders and diving into her wife, licking her deeply and slurping on Brittany, who was extremely wet already. She pulled out every tongue trick she could think of, wanting to take care of Brittany completely. She would build Brittany up to the tip then tease her and calm her down, the blonde begging Santana to let her climax over and over. Santana finally did before sticking two fingers in Brittany and pumping quickly, wanting to give her another orgasm right away.

She then crawled back up Brittany's body and laid next to her, kissing her so Brittany could taste herself. "69?" Brittany suggested, and blinked in shock when Santana shook her head no. "Oh...what..."

"Can you wear the strap on me?" Santana asked.

Brittany propped herself up on her elbow. "Are you sure, baby?"

"Yes."

"Okay, let me go down on you first and get you ready." Brittany suggested as Santana cleared her throat.

Brittany spent close to twenty minutes going down on Santana, making sure the Latina was more than wet and ready for her. After giving Santana a body shaking orgasm she got out of bed and rummaged through the bag of pieces they brought with them and found the one they'd been using on Santana. She grabbed a tube of lube and rubbed down the piece before laying back in bed, she kissed Santana deeply when the Latina rolled on her side. Brittany lifted her leg, keeping her eyes focused on the nervous brown ones in front of her, she waited for Santana before she slowly slid into her.

Santana took a few deep breaths, relaxing herself as Brittany continued to slide in and stayed still, giving Santana a few moments to adjust to the fullness. Santana kept her eyes on Brittany's before finally blinking when Brittany began to slowly thrust into her. "Are you okay?" Brittany asked since Santana was extremely quiet.

"I'm okay." Santana rasped back.

"Can I see your eyes, please." Brittany requested, she locked eye with Santana and relaxed. She heard Santana moan, her lips slightly parted as her face turned a soft shade of red.

"Speed up." Santana said suddenly.

Brittany picked up the pace a little and began to kiss around Santana's face, she placed her hand on the Latina's chest to check her heart rate and nodded when it seemed normal for when they were having sex. She felt Santana nudge her with her nose so their lips could meet, allowing Santana to control the kiss, Brittany focused on keeping a very steady rhythm. She felt Santana gasp suddenly and looked at her face, she saw her face was clearly in distress so she pulled out immediately, causing Santana to let out a breath she was holding in. After exhaling, she began to shake slightly before suddenly reaching for Brittany and holding her tightly, hiding her face in her wife's chest. Brittany rubbed her back, allowing Santana the moment to herself.

"Are you okay?" She asked her softly, her hand gliding up and down Santana's back.

Santana shook her head quickly. "I just need a minute, hold me, please."

"Take another deep breath." Brittany told her.

Santana took a deep breath, relishing the moment of being in Brittany's arms, her smell and the sound of her heartbeat surrounding her. Brittany held her close, giving her all the time she needed to gather herself, wanting to let Santana work through the moment, but also staying close to let her know she was there if she needed. "I'm okay." Santana sighed, placing a soft kiss to Brittany's collar before she leaned back and locked eyes with her eyes. Brittany looked in her eyes and knew she was calm and relaxed again.

Brittany nodded while taking the harness off and tossing it on the floor before crawling closer to Santana. "You did even better this time." She praised her. "So good, baby. I heard that moan." She smiled.

Santana blushed as Brittany winked at her. "It started to feel okay, but I saw Richard's face."

Brittany frowned but nodded that she understood. "Do you want to talk to Dr. Jackson about that?"

Santana sighed and nodded. "Yeah, sorry if I ruined the night."

"Of course you didn't." Brittany shook her head. "Do you want me to go down on you again?"

"No, can we just cuddle?" Santana asked.

Brittany shuffled to lay behind and held her tightly while peppering kisses to the back of her neck. "Happy anniversary, 20 years behind us, and a lifetime to go."

The next morning

Brittany woke up to Santana humming softly as she stroked her hair, she glanced up at her wife and locked eyes with her. Santana smiled after blowing her a kiss and winking at her, she then resumed her humming for a few more moments. Santana was propped up on her elbow, still completely naked as she ran her fingers through Brittany's blonde hair, staring at her wife adoringly.

"Good morning." She rasped, having lost her voice from the previous night.

"Good morning, baby." Brittany smiled as Santana leaned down and kissed her softly. "Your voice..."

Santana nodded. "It's okay, it'll come back a little later this afternoon most likely." She whispered.

"You shouldn't have sang, Sanny." Brittany told her, reaching up to stroke her cheek with her thumb. "I would have understood."

Santana shook her head. "I always sing to you..." She paused and cleared her throat softly. "I always sing to you on our anniversary, I wasn't going to break tradition, especially not on our 20th anniversary." She rasped.

Brittany knew how important tradition was to Santana, the Latina had a number of traditions she was dead set on keeping in the family, and singing to Brittany on her birthday and their anniversary was one of the traditions she refused to break. "Do you want me to do a treatment on your throat? Did you pack your medication?"

"I have it." Santana nodded in reply. "But it can wait...I just want to lay here with you. This is the most relaxed we've been in a while. We've been through a lot lately and I think right now, this week, where it's just been the two of us, is perfect...it's what we need. So I want to just lay here with you, we need this."

"I'm sorry I've been in a funk lately." Brittany told her as Santana laid back down next to her, sharing her pillow. "I'm sorry for..."

"Don't." Santana whispered softly. "Don't apologize, B, I've been in funks before too. We, um, we've been here before." She continued. "We'll get through this funk like we did the others. What I do want to suggest is that we go to a session with Dr. Jackson..." Santana paused while carefully thinking of what she wanted to say. "I don't like that when we argue and get so upset that we throw out talk of divorce and separation." She made sure to look right in Brittany's eyes. "I'm guilty of it and so are you. It hurts me, B, I know it hurts you. Neither one of us came home after the last fight and I'm not okay with that, and it certainly wasn't fair to the kids."

Brittany nodded in agreement, she lifted her hand to rest on Santana's hip where she squeezed gently. "I don't like it either, in my heart I know that we will never divorce, but I don't think it's okay that we throw out divorce or separation either. I think we are so comfortable with each other that we kind of just say whatever."

"I agree." Santana nodded.

"I'm sorry for not coming to the counseling session that you set up. I should have come." Brittany sighed.

"It's in the past, baby." Santana smiled softly, her finger trailing across Brittany's collarbone. "Let's move forward okay? I think this trip is just what you needed to get out of your funk, you are so much more relaxed."

"You're certainly helping with that." Brittany blushed. "Can I take you to breakfast?"

Santana shook her head. "I ordered breakfast, it should be here any minute now." She leaned forward and kissed Brittany slowly. "I know how we can pass the time until it comes." She smiled.

2 weeks later

"Sorry B, Im ready." Santana stated as she walked in the front foyer where Brittany was waiting, the blonde was leaning against the wall typing quickly into her phone. Santana took a moment to just stare at her wife, Brittany was wearing a pair of light color jeans that had a few rips on the knee cap. She had on a high collared pink cashmere sweater, an anniversary gift from Santana, and a pair of chocolate brown ankle boots to top off her outfit. Her hair was down in big curls, since she took the time to actually roll her hair the night before.

"You are seriously the most beautiful woman in the world." Santana smiled as she walked closer and kissed Brittany on the cheek, finally shaking her attention from the email she was sending.

Brittany locked eyes with her and blushed. "Thanks." She leaned down and kissed Santana on the lips. "I think you are."

Santana winked as she dug in her purse and pulled her keys out. "Did you call a car, or should I drive?"

"I didn't call a car." Brittany shook her head. "I'm starving, I'm so ready to go."

"I'm glad you have your appetite back, you haven't been eating much since we got back from Dubai." Santana raised an eyebrow an her as they left the house. "I was getting a little worried."

"Just because you don't always see me eat doesn't me I don't, baby. I've been eating Santana." Brittany assured her. "I'm just so busy at my studios getting ready for Paris that I've been eating there."

Santana stared at her, knowing Brittany was telling the truth. "So after lunch we have the interview with PEOPLE magazine." She reminded Brittany as they walked down their row of garage doors until they reached the last door where Santana's Bentley was. The Latina examined the car, making sure no scratched or dents were on before unlocking the door.

"I'm surprised you agreed to do it. I thought you were boycotting them?" Brittany smiled.

Santana rolled her eyes and nodded as she put the key in the ignition. "They issued the retraction and the apology, and they've been kissing our asses long enough with all the random articles, did you see the write up they did on my ten best looks in jeans?" She rolled her eyes exaggeratedly again when Brittany started to laugh.

"I loved the write on the top thirty times you rocked sneakers." Brittany laughed louder. "Or my best ponytail looks, Mackey's top five lip gloss colors, and the absolute best was Carter's top seven haircuts."

"Ugh." Santana groaned. "I swear to God, this interview better be not be any shit. But I do plan on having a few glasses of champagne so having a little buzz during the interview might not be so bad."

"Do you think you should really be drinking?" Brittany questioned.

"It's fine."

"Santana..."

"Brittany, I'm a forty nine year old woman, and if I want a glass of champagne or ten, then I can." She snapped in reply before closing her eyes tightly. "I'm sorry."

"Okay." Brittany nodded.

"Seriously, baby, I'm sorry." Santana repeated as she lifted Brittany's hand and kissed her palm, she then started the car and sped off.

They drove in a comfortable silence, Santana softly singing along to the various songs on the radio, while Brittany nodded her head and danced around in the front seat. When they pulled up to the Santana hopped out and handed her keys to the valet before she opened Brittany's door and extended her hair to help her wife out of the car. Brittany stepped out and wave to a few fans that screamed out for her and Santana. Santana lifted her shades and waved with a big smile. The Latina was wearing a pair of extremely ripped dark jeans, a fitted black long sleeve shirt, and a red, black, yellow, and white plaid shirt tied around her waist. She had on a pair of red heels, and her hair was up in a bun on the top of her head. She grabbed Brittany's hand and led her into the restaurant, where they were immediately led to their table where Quinn, Mercedes, and Hannah were already waiting.

"Hey ladies." Brittany smiled as she and Santana walked around the table to greet each of them, before setting into the booth side of the table.

"What's up bitches?" Santana smiled as she looked around the table.

"You tell us." Quinn laughed, "we haven't seen you two since before your anniversary. Everything okay?"

"Everything is good." Brittany nodded as she took a sip of her water just as Madison came in the restaurant and sat down next to Santana in the booth.

"Hey mom, hey momma, ladies." She smiled while trying to catch her breath.

"Hey honey." Santana smiled, kissing her on the cheek and rubbing her stomach. "Hey little one."

"What did I miss?" Madison asked as Brittany poured a glass of water for her.

"Nothing, Brittana just got here too." Hannah teased.

"Don't call us that." Santana scowled as Brittany laughed.

"So how was the anniversary trip?" Mercedes asked a waiter brought out a number of appetizers. "I ordered apps for everyone."

Santana lifted a plate and begin to fill it with items for Brittany, quickly handing it to her before making her own. "Amazing, Dubai is so beautiful. It was such a relaxing trip, we did a little shopping, and just enjoyed each other." She winked, making Quinn roll her eyes.

"Spare us the details." Quinn replied as Hannah nodded in agreement.

"Enjoy each other doesn't automatically equate sex." Brittany laughed. "San and I spent a lot time just talking, we've been married for so long and we used the trip to intensify our romance, which isn't one hundred percent sex."

"Twenty years is amazing, I'm in such awe of you two." Hannah nodded. "I remember you two dating in highschool and now you two just celebrated twenty years, you have four kids, two grandkids, one on the house, amazing careers...you are totally relationships goals." She teased.

"Twenty years in incredible." Quinn agreed.

"Well you and Puck are close to thirty years." Santana pointed out as the waiter came around and poured glasses of champagne for everyone, skipping over Madison's glass when she placed her hand over the top.

Quinn blushed. "Yeah, we are at 28 years already, feels like it flew by."

"You all have been married so long and I couldn't even make it past ten years." Hannah laughed.

Brittany glanced at her sister and squeezed her shoulder, "sometimes marriages just don't work out, Han. There's still plenty of time for you to meet a great guy."

"Or girl." Santana winked.

"Not my style, Santana." Hannah laughed.

"Stop trying to turn everyone out." Mercedes laughed loudly. "Hannah, I know a great guy to set you up with, if you are interested."

"I'm not!" Santana laughed. "I'm just seeing if Hannah's options are open for greatness, I mean who's better at going down on you that someone that knows what they want and how it feels?"

"Mom please." Madison sighed.

"Back to the guy I have for you." Mercedes rolled her eyes, and Quinn sighed and took a sip of her champagne.

"Nope, I have the perfect guy for her." Santana held up her hand and shook her head. "You have a date on Wednesday night, we'll watch the kids."

"I'm working Wednesday night." Brittany whispered to Santana. "Mack will be with me too."

"Then Carter and I will watch the kids." Santana told her, kissing her on the cheek. "Are we splitting the bill?"

"My treat today." Mercedes told the table.

"Sweet, I'm getting surf and turf." Santana stated.

"I think I'll just get a salad." Brittany mumbled, staring at the menu.

Santana glanced at her but kept her comments to herself and instead focused on the conversation at the table where Madison was teasing the group with baby names. The women talked about a variety of topics including Santana threatening everyone and demanding they come to Carter's game later in the week, everyone decided to fly over to Paris for Brittany's big anniversary showcase. They talked candidly about Zacky's new girlfriend, Danielle wanting to play the drums, Peyton getting better at her piano lessons, Noelle and Quinn bonding and spending more together, and finally how Mackenzie's was doing in highschool. Everyone took turns talking about their kids and catching the other up on their careers, Brittany got quiet and began to simply quietly eat her lunch.

Mercedes raised an eyebrow at Brittany but continued to eat and talk. Brittany laughed softly at something Madison said before reaching under the table and grabbing Santana's hand. The Latina glanced at her and smiled, squeezing Brittany's hand as she continued to talk and laugh loudly. Ten minutes later Brittany slid closer to the Latina and rested her head on Santana's, to which Santana unconsciously turn her head and kissed Brittany on the forehead. Mercedes once again raised her eyebrow at Brittany's unusual behavior since she wasn't one to hang onto Santana in public. She watched Brittany laugh softly at certain parts of the conversation, but noticed she didn't seem as into the lunch as she usually is, especially with Madison and Hannah being there.

Brittany seemed to zone out on certain parts of the conversation, she would lift Santana's hand and kiss it gently before placing it back in her lap, Santana blushing at the action every time and kissing her on the forehead or lifting her chin to catch her lips quickly before going back to the conversation, but never thinking much more of Brittany's behavior. At one point Brittany excused herself to the bathroom and stayed for close to twenty minutes before coming back and laying her head on Santana's shoulder again, this time wrapping her arm around her waist discreetly under the table. Santana wrapped her arm around her casually and continued her debate with Quinn on gun control, absentmindedly stroking her wife's arm, which got heated so Hannah stepped in and ended the conversation.

After wrapping up lunch where Santana offered to leave the tip, she declined for both her and Brittany to hang out at Quinn's house for some drinks, informing everyone they had business to handle. It wasn't until they were back in the car that Santana decided to speak up about Brittany being quiet.

"Lunch was fun." Santana stated, popping a stick of gum in her mouth. "You were a little quiet, I thought you would have my back on gun control."

"Sorry." Brittany replied quickly. "You handled the conversation well, I like when you are all riled up about things." She added with a small smile.

Santana glanced at her and nodded. "How was your salad?"

"Good, the salmon in it was very moist." Brittany replied to her as she pulled out her phone and began to quickly type in it.

"What do you keep typing in your phone?" Santana asked, glancing over at her.

"Just notes on routines and things I want Mackenzie to work on, sorry." Brittany quickly finished her note and tossed her phone back in her purse.

"What are you apologizing for?" Santana frowned. "Just asking, babe, that's all." She opened her mouth to say something else just as her phone rang, she saw Emily's name appear on the radio and pressed her Bluetooth to answer.

What's up, Emily, we are headed to the location now for the interview.

Hey Santana, PEOPLE cancelled, they need to reschedule. They are hoping to book the entire family for a Christmas interview and cover shoot.

Santana rolled her eyes and pulled over to the side of the road, she glanced at Brittany, who nodded that she was okay with it. Tell them we're in, but they need to work with our schedule, we are super busy this month. Check both of our schedules, Mackenzie's, and call Noah to make sure he's available as well as Madison, I want everyone in the picture.

Okay, got it.

Santana hung up the phone and looked at Brittany, "this is why I don't fuck with PEOPLE magazine." She rolled her eyes.

Brittany sighed. "Do we even have time for a cover shoot with them?" She asked.

"They better find the damn time." Santana snapped. "I could have had more drinks. Since we are free this afternoon, feel like doing some more Christmas shopping?"

"Are we really not giving the kids a Christmas this year" Brittany asked.

"No, we aren't." Santana shook her head. "Well, not one like they usually get, but we can buy them a few things. Want to hit Rodeo Drive?"

Brittany thought for a moment before finally answering. "Sure."

Mackenzie walked back in her bedroom and tossed a bag of pretzels at Andie, who caught them and opened the bag quickly. She accepted the soda from the blonde and wiggled to get comfortable in the blonde's bed. Mackenzie kicked off her socks and sat crossed legged in front of her friend. She grabbed a pretzel out and stared at Andie, who was smiling at her.

"What?" Mackenzie laughed.

"Ummm, I need details, I saw you and Bronson talking after school." Andie replied with a smirk. "Did you ask him to the Sadie Hawkins dance yet?"

Mackenzie shook her head quickly. "No."

"Aren't you going?" Andie frowned. "You missed homecoming because you were out of town, you can't miss this dance. Are you moms not letting you go?"

"I haven't even asked them yet, but I'm sure they won't mind." Mackenzie shook her head. "My mom was so upset that I had to miss homecoming anyways." She laughed eating a pretzel rod. "Who did you ask?"

Andie took a long sip of her soda and set it down. "Austin."

"Good choice." Mackenzie beamed.

"I know!" Andie smiled happily. "So you need ask Bronson so we can go pick out our dresses together."

Mackenzie nodded. "Okay, I have to do something super big to ask him, that's what my moms do, they never just ask. It has to be a grand gesture."

"Hmmmm, balloons?" Andie suggested, eating another pretzel.

"Nah, boys don't like balloons." Mackenzie frowned.

"Carter does." Andie laughed.

"He's weird." Mackenzie rolled her eyes as she thought of the tons of balloons Dakota buys for him. "Maybe I can do something with basketballs, he's bummed he didn't make Varsity."

Andie thought for a minute, "that sounds like a good idea." She nodded in agreement. "So you know you have to kiss him at the end of the night."

"Why?" Mackenzie frowned.

"That's what you do after a date." Andie smiled. "My mom said to always end a date with a kiss, it'll make the guy want you more."

Mackenzie raised her eyebrow and laughed. "Well yeah he's going to want you if you kiss him right away. Did you kiss Jeremiah after homecoming?" Andie nodded slowly while smirking. "Hmmm, well I don't know how to kiss, I watched a few videos and practiced on my pillow one night." She laughed.

"That's what I did too, but I can teach you." Andie smiled.

Mackenzie stared at her. "Teach me how to kiss?"

"Sure, if you want, I'm basically a pro." Andie boasted proudly taking a long sip of her soda again. "And my lips taste like grape soda so it's even better for you to practice on."

"Okay." Mackenzie shrugged. "It won't be weird for you?"

"Nah." Andie shrugged in reply. She then leaned forward and pressed her lips to Mackenzie's softly, just pecking them. "That's the kiss you give when he gives you your corsage."

"No way." Mackenzie shook her head. "I can't kiss him in front of Snixx." She laughed.

Andie fell over laughing. "Oh yeah, well then do it while you two are slow dancing, just as long as one of your moms or Mercedes' songs isn't playing."

"Got it."

"Now at the end of the night, do this kiss." Andie jumped off the bed and motioned for Mackenzie to stand up too. "Okay, so lean up on your tip toes a little and start by kissing him on the cheek." Mackenzie nodded as Andie took her hands and placed them on her waist. "So he'll have his hands here after he hugs you, so move your hands up like this, around his neck." She demonstrated. Mackenzie nodded and slowly licked her lips, paying close attention. "Then lift your hand to his chin and kiss him on the cheek." She did the action, sending a shiver down Mackenzie's spine, never having been this close and intimate with someone. "Then kiss him." Andie told her as she pressed their lips together again and slowly began to move hers against Mackenzie's nervous ones. "Kiss me back." Andie teased.

Mackenzie nodded and began to move her lips against Andie's, allowing her best friend to guide her. Andie ran her hands up and down Mackenzie's back, nudging her to do the same, which Mackenzie did. Mackenzie began to relax and deepened the kiss, slipping her tongue into Andie's mouth.

Santana ran into the house, a huge smile on her face. "Carter!" She screamed happily. "Carter!"

Brittany walked in behind her, carrying a few bags and set them down. "Santana, I really don't think it's a good idea you bought that."

"Carter!" Santana screamed again. "Ven aqui, ahora!" She fell to the floor and tore open her box. "Is it about the price?"

"No, you are free to spend your money how you want." Brittany shook her head. "I just don't think it's a good idea to have a electronic skateboard."

"Hoverboard." Santana clarified as Carter walked in the room, holding a huge sandwich.

"Yo." He mumbled while chewing.

Santana glanced up at him and immediately frowned. "Not only are you dripping on my damn floor, but that looks disgusting."

Brittany handed him a napkin out of her purse. "Use a napkin when you're walking around the house eating." She kissed him on the cheek and made her way upstairs.

"Don't walk around the house and eat." Santana snapped. "I shouldn't have to keep telling you that."

"Did you call me in here to yell at me?" Carter asked.

"No." Santana sighed before holding up the hoverboard happily. "Look what I got."

Carter's eyes widened as he threw his sandwich on the table and grabbed it. "Shit...this is a BMW one."

Santana jumped to her feet and smacked him on the back of the head. "Watch your damn mouth."

"Let's try it out!" He said excitedly as he set it down to hop on it, Santana quickly pushed him out of the way.

"I go first." She smiled happily as she carefully stepped on it.

Mackenzie moaned lightly as she and Andie continued to kiss, their hands roaming the other's back. They broke apart for a few moments and smiled at each other before giggling and kiss again. "You're getting good." Andie praised her as she sat down and patted the bed next to her, inviting Mackenzie to sit down, which she did. The blonde leaned in and connected their lips again just as the door swung open.

"Mack Attack, your mom..." Brittany stated just as the two girls jumped away from each other, Mackenzie flying off the bed and falling on the floor. "S-sorry." Brittany spit out quickly as she helped Mackenzie stand up.

"Hi Brittany." Andie smiled.

"Hey sweetheart, I didn't know you were here, are you staying for dinner?" Brittany asked with a smile, glancing at Mackenzie, who was bright red in the face.

"No, I just rode the bus home with Mackey, my dad should be on the way soon." Andie shook her head.

"Okay, why don't you go downstairs, Santana has something she wants to show you all." Brittany smiled. She watched Andie grab her backpack and head downstairs, Brittany then closed the door to Mackenzie's room. "How was school today?" She asked sitting down on the bed next to her.

"It was good." Mackenzie replied softly.

"Relax." Brittany told her wrapping her arm around her and rubbing her arm. "Relax, whatever was going on in here I'm not going to question, when you are ready to talk about it, then we can."

"Thanks." Mackenzie nodded.

"Before we go downstairs I want to see if you're ready for tomorrow?" Brittany asked. "Being a part of the Make A Wish foundation is an honor, someone's last wish is to meet you, that's a big deal."

"I'm super humbled by it." Mackenzie replied. "I just don't want to let her down."

"Be yourself, that's all she wants." Brittany kissed her on the forehead. "Come on down when you're ready."

Once Brittany left the room Mackenzie groaned and flopped back on the bed. Brittany sighed on the other side of the door and made her way downstairs where Santana was trying to balance on her new hoverboard. She walked in the family room with alcohol, gauze, and bandaids in her hand and set them on the table prepared for if and when Santana fell.

"Santana, please be careful on that thing." Brittany frowned as Santana wobbled and leaned into Carter to catch her balance.

"I got it, B." Santana smiled brightly.

Brittany sighed. "Santana…"

"I got it, B!" Santana assured her as she slowly made her way around the living room, Carter recording her as he walked next to her.

"This is sick." Carter cheered. "I can't believe you bought us one!"

"Us?" Santana frowned as she turned too quickly and flew off of the board, landing on her butt. "Fuck!" She snapped. "This is mine, did you forget when I cancelled life?"

"No." Carter groaned as he helped her to her feet again.

"This is mine." Santana pointed to the board as she grabbed Carter's arm and stepped back on it. "Don't distract me while I'm on it."

Brittany sat on the couch as Mackenzie came in the room with Cinderella, she sat next to Brittany and rested her head on her mother's arm. "Cool board mommy."

Santana turned to smile at Mackenzie and once again fell off the board. "God dammit."

"Don't talk to your mom while she's on the board." Brittany sighed. "Santana if you fall again that's it for the night. I don't want you in a cast around Christmas, baby."

Santana frowned at Brittany but nodded. She stepped back on the board and immediately fell on her side, hitting her elbow on the table. "One more time."

Brittany shook her head. "Please." She pleaded softly.

"Fine." Santana groaned as she rubbed her arm. Brittany stood up and helped her wife up, she kissed her elbow as Carter stepped on the board and flawlessly rode around the living room. "What the fuck?"

"Zacky has one." Carter laughed. "I ride his all the time."

Santana rolled her eyes. "Whatever, do not take it out of the house."

"Can I ride it?" Mackenzie asked.

"Si, baby. Carter make sure she doesn't fall." Santana told him.

"Mackenzie, you have a lot of stuff coming up this month, be smart on there please." Brittany told her as she led Santana upstairs, the Latina pouting the entire way while holding her elbow.

2am

Brittany woke up after falling asleep around nine the night before. after dinner Santana went to her studio and did some writing while Brittany took a bath and fell asleep rather quickly. She noticed Santana's side of the bed was still cold, evidence she hadn't come to bed yet. She decided to go find her, she went to the studio and quietly opened the door. She saw Santana sitting at the piano, singing a song.

You say you're right, I'll say you're wrong
You'll be polite, but continue on
And I'll say it might be true
If you want me to

You say it's night, and I'll say it's morning
You'll see the light, and pretend you don't
And I'll close a blind, if you, really want me to
If that's what you want to do

Santana paused and took a deep breath, scribbling out lyrics and replacing them with others. She took a sip of the tea she had with her and began to play the piano again, finding the melody again, before she started to sing again.

But life has its own arranges
As time passes on, it changes
The hourglass moves on a grain
And our path is torn in strands

Brittany sat next to her at the piano, startling the Latina, but Santana smiled at her and continued to singing, looking right in her eyes as she sang harder.

You say we fight, I'll say we argue
Maybe you're right, that we really are through
And I'll say goodbye, if you really want me to
Cause that's what I'm gonna do

Santana pointed to the lyric sheet and nodded for Brittany to sing which she started to, able to keep the melody after hearing Santana sing the first couple of verses.

You say it's mine, I'll say it's yours
Maybe the time has come, to finish our scores
And I'll break my promise too, if you want me to
That's what I'm gonna do

Santana resumed singing staring at Brittany, a few tears sliding down her cheeks.

But life has its own arranges
As life passes on, we're strangers
And our past is blown away
The hourglass is thrown and breaks

Santana played a piano solo, breaking her gaze from Brittany and singing softly as she ended the song.

And I'll take a fall for you
If that's what you want me to

She sighed as she played a few random notes on the piano. Brittany grabbed her hands to still them. "Is that about us?"

"Yes and no." Santana nodded. "The part about saying goodbye, isn't about us, i just thought it fit the song and wrote it in." She clarified quickly. "I just think we are kind of on different planes right now and I will do whatever it takes to make it right with you."

"You haven't done anything wrong." Brittany told her. "You haven't done anything wrong at all, none of this is your fault."

Santana nodded and began to play a few more random notes on the piano.

"Come to bed, please." Brittany stood up and extended her hand to her wife. The Latina took it and accepted it, following Brittany out of the studio, once they got up to their bedroom Santana took a quick shower before slipping in bed next to Brittany, who was still awake and waiting for her. She cuddled close to Brittany and exhaled against her chest, before lifting her head and kissing her deeply.

"I love you, B." Santana whispered. "I'll take a fall for you."

"I know." Brittany replied quietly. "I know you will."
