As time passed, the trio tried to find ways to occupy their time. Though, it was not too difficult because they were all fairly tired from the hectic past few weeks. So they slept most of the trip and played some friendly, non-wagered, games of cards to kill the left-over time. Despite the bumps in the road earlier, it did not to prove to be an uncomfortable journey.

In fact, once their cart traveled further into Plegian territory the roads began to settle down as the shifting sand made a nice cushion for the wooden wheels. However, like running in the beach, it also slowed down the pace of the horses to Morgan's frustration.

"Are we there yet?" Morgan asked while shifting in the back of the cart. It was nearing lunch time on their third day of the trip and time was short. The registration date ended at dusk, and Morgan was starting to get anxious.

"Afraid not dear." Lucina replied figuring there was still a half day's journey left. It would be close if they would make it in time, and that was assuming that no obstacle would stop them in their path. Something that rarely happened for them.

Morgan shrugged as she felt her muscles cramp up. Since Morgan insisted they go as fast as possible, that meant they could only stop for bathroom breaks or to give the horses a quick rest. So the majority of her time was spent trapped in a wooden box while her two parents teased or beat her at cards.

"What's for lunch anyways?" She asked since her father said it would be a bad idea to start a fire in the middle of a wooden cart just to have roasted weenies.

"Cabbage, and broccoli." Lucina said casually.

Morgan immediately cringed at the thought and said, "Really?"

"Yes, and I think we have some raw onions to eat as well if you want something different."

Robin glanced back at Lucina confused, but chose not to say anything as she smiled back.

Meanwhile, Morgan quickly regretted asking her question and lost her appetite. Every young adult knows that anything green or healthy is something that should be avoided like the plague. "Bleh, I hate raw onions."

"Well there is no use crying about it." Robin added.

The princess nodded and said, "Especially since that is our dinner too. I'm afraid we didn't have much time to pack so I picked whatever I could find first. So we will be eating a lot of onions and cabbage for the remainder of the trip there and back."

"You are joking, right?" Morgan suddenly felt sick to her stomach.

"Lucina, make a joke?" Robin asked puzzled.

She groaned realizing that was even more far-fetched and said, "Enng, why did you have to pick such terrible food to bring on our trip? Cabbage is like eating wet parchment, and raw onions makes it seem like your mouth is bleeding."

"It's not bad Morgan, and some of it is very healthy for you." Lucina informed her daughter trying to be more cheerful. "Plus, if you hold your nose, it doesn't taste as bad."

The young tactician let out a large sigh and felt a little nausea at the idea. "That doesn't help at all."

"I'll admit I'm not looking forward to it either." Robin tried to stay optimistic despite the circumstances. "But it's not the end of the world. Maybe we can find a place to sell us food at the tournament. So how about another bit of the story to take your mind off of it?"

"... Okay." She said in sorrow.

Robin then cleared his voice and said,

As we marched, Lucina and I stayed near the front of the line to be alert for any ambushes, while Frederick and Cordelia guarded the rear. Unfortunately, news was spreading fast that a dark and ominous black sky covered the areas near the Dragon's table. The thought that I could have caused that mess still bothered me, even though Lucina tried to help ease my burdens. No matter what I did it still lingered in my mind, but I at least tried not to let it get to me.

...

"Robin? Everything okay?" Lucina asked while we marched forward. We were almost to the shrine, and my mind was wandering knowing that Naga would probably be there. Would she smite me on the spot, or show mercy knowing my situation? I could hardly begin to imagine what a divine dragon might do considering that Grima's blood ran through me. Especially considering I was near her daughter Tiki.

I'm still thinking about me being Grima's vessel." I murmured lowly.

"We went over this." She asked worried and placed her hand on my shoulder. Although four days had passed, she never stopped trying to help me as we marched for the shrine.

"I know, and I am trying not to think about it." I lowered my eyes to the green grass as my feet trudged forward and crushed the blades under my weight. "I just don't understand it. How me, my father, or my past self got into this mess. I mean, why would someone commit their life to bringing back a hate ridden dragon? And why does the stupid dragon even want to destroy the world? Isn't this his home too?"

"Neither of us could ever hope to answer those questions." Lucina reminded me in a loving voice. "So there is no point in thinking about them."

"You're right." I nodded back somberly. "But I fear that I am running away from my problem. If I don't take some responsibility then am I ignoring my past and pretending it doesn't exist? Am I trying to hide from reality instead of face it?"

"Do you instead wish to blame yourself for something you had no control over?"

"No." I shook my head and said, "You won't let me do that."

The princess smiled back with some pride. "Then please don't worry Robin. One we stop Grima, we can both forget all of this and start a new life. We just need to hang in there for a little longer."

She was right, it wasn't going to be impossible to stop the stupid dragon since her ancestors did it a thousand years ago. "Just … promise me you will stay safe out there, okay?" I whispered back.

"Of course my love." Lucina leaned over to kiss me on the cheek. "And I expect you to do the same."

...

A few minutes passed as we continued our pace through the grassy landscape while I cleared my head, but as we inched closer, a sparkling aura caught out eyes.

"Hey! Look! Up ahead." Lissa cried as the hill that Naga's shrine rested on came into view. There was a small, clear blue stream flowing down on one side, and a strong magical presence in the ground as trees sparsely littered the area. Even the rocks seemed to have their own magnificent sheen as they looked closer to a polished silver than a rocky gray as they extended up to ten feet in the air. "It's beautiful." Lissa marveled in awe.

"The divine dragon's power flows through every blade of grass and one bite from the fruit can fill your stomach for three days. Even in my time this was one of the last places that offered refuge." Lucina informed us as the green ground swayed in the same direction as the wind.

"Yes, my mother's magic holds the strongest here." Tiki mentioned as we walked forward taking a moment to look around at the peaceful landscape

"Makes sense why this would be the place to perform the ritual" Chrom nodded as he saw his Falchion glow. As one of Naga's teeth, the blade seemed to collect the shining aura around it and Lucina's blade also did the same. The pair of blades glowed a bright blue near the hilt as the energy around them grew stronger.

"Indeed, it takes a great power to awaken those blades, and it can be fatal for those not able to withstand the strain."

"Then I will make sure that doesn't happen." Chrom replied confidently while Lucina gritted her teeth.

"So let's get this over with! We have an evil dragon to beat up." Lissa cried raising her staff in the air.

"Eng." I winced as I felt my head throb in pain.

"Robin?" Chrom asked noticing me cover my head.

"They are here." I whispered feeling very strange. "I can feel the Risen charging towards us."

"What?!" Lucina cried in horror. "How could they intrude this sacred place?"

"Grima must be controlling them." Chrom muttered grabbing the hilt of his sword. "He is the only one who could match Naga's power on this field."

"Quick, everyone take defensive formations!" I shouted alarmed as I felt a dark presence quickly approaching us. My mind began racing about what to do and I had this uncanny feeling. I could not see or hear them, but I knew where they were and how many of them we would have to face. I could even see the trap they were trying to weave. This feeling was far stronger than any ordinary gut instinct I had, and if we didn't move then we would-

"Strike that!" I yelled at the top of my lungs as my eyes widened with a sudden realization. "Everyone! Find your partner and space yourself out. I want each group of two spaced out at least fifteen feet from each other." Immediately, my brain screamed that this was risky, but so were the opponents we were about to fight.

Lucina searched around in every direction to find our enemy, but she had no luck since they had not arrived yet. They were still in the forest near the shrine so she could not see them, but that did not make her any less prepared to fight as she unsheathed her sword.

"They are going to overwhelm us." I told her as I could feel the darkness lingering and the faint whispering of orders being given. I felt their presence grow stronger with each passing moment and their movements etched itself into my mind. If they manged to pin us down we would be helpless as they trampled over our position, and I couldn't allow that to happen.

"From where?" She asked still unable to find them.

I pointed in the direction of the forest and looked around to see if everyone was in formation. We had to be far enough from each other to avoid being pinned down, but close enough to provide support for someone to our right or left. The plan was to be like a moving chain that could open or close itself when needed.

"Here they come." I felt my stomach sink once the first of the Naga-forsaken creatures sprinted out of the forest with its menacing red eyes. It immediately latched on its target, Chrom, who was near the middle of our formation. Soon over fifty red circles peered out from forest depths, and I knew that was not even half of what we would expect.

It was clear that they were all targeting our king, which is why we needed to protect him at all costs. However, it would be recklessly to charge at them as well. We needed to pick them off one at a time, or at least deflect some of their forces away for our archers and mages.

"Lucina I need you to attack the-"

"On it!" She cried already knowing my thoughts and whipped her sword around violently against a hulking beast. She then dashed to her left side to avoid the incoming attack of a wyvern rider while using her sword to cut clean through the Wyverns stomach. With the Falchion's sacred blade cutting deep like melted butter on a knife, the dragon shrieked in immense pain before it dropped out of the sky and sent its rider flying in Henry's direction.

Needless to say, Henry was thrilled when a flying zombie came crashing in front of him, and the dark mage held great excitement at his new toy. Meanwhile, Frederick, Cordelia, Tiki, and Lon'qu carved a path through Risen soldiers to protect the weakest links in our chain and add some support. However, we were not alone, and I heard foot steps come from behind me. They were still far off, but without the dark taint that I sensed earlier.

"Damn, these things are tough." Cherche said frustrated when her war hammer didn't knock down her foe. She and Stahl had engaged a horseman which used a curved sword with decorative markings on the hilt. The paladin rider was wearing heavy armor as well which showed how different these units were from the usual bare back Risen that fought with rusted axes.

"I've never seen Risen like this either." Lucina replied while shifting her battle stance to be lower to the ground and increase her balance. Risen always hit hard, but it felt like these abominations were smashing our shoulders apart as we tried to block their strikes.

I grimaced as I used all of my strength to hold out against an undead swordsman. "Grima knows the stakes, and he is sending out his best."

Across the line the situation looked similar with most of us struggling to repel the oncoming force. We were loosely in the shape of a V as many Risen tried to funnel towards the center where Chrom was. The ones that got the closest were picked off by Virion, Noire, and the gang of mages while Vaike and Nowi brought their own devastation down.

"Augh!" Basilio groaned as he got hit in the side from a lancer. Flavia soon returned the favor with her sword, but more Risen were bearing down on their position. "Haha! Is that all you got?" He laughed as blood seeped through his clothes. "That feels like a prick from a needle compared to Walhart's strikes."

The great khan managed to pick one of attackers off with his bow and effortlessly transitioned to his axe as they pressed against him. Meanwhile, Brady rushed over to close his wound so he could continue fighting.

Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, Chrom and Sumia were soon eclipsed by a mob of beasts. That left only once choice, and Sumia knew what she needed to do. Dodging both deadly arrows and axes, she flew him off to safety which left our ranks split in two. This meant they could easily flank us if we didn't stop them.

"Gaius, Panne! I need you to fill that hole. Take Kellam and Libra with you!"

"Sure thing Bubbles." He shouted back as we did our best to hold the line

The battle dragged on as more and more Risen flooded us from the forest. There seemed to be no end to them, and the pressured only got worse as time went by. We needed both hit-and-run tactics along with luck to survive as we constantly retreated backwards. Holding our ground would have got us killed by now, and the longer we stayed alive, the more arrows and magic could rain down to secure some of our weakest points. Our V formation changed to an L with most of our ranged units and Chrom behind our line.

Still, we were walking backwards with each step to avoid being surrounded or flanked. The heavily armored and battle hardened beasts prove to be far stronger than anything we fought against in Valm.

"What the?" I asked dumbfounded as I thought I was starting to see things. There were three dragons on the battlefield now, and I only recognized Tiki and Nowi. This third dragon also appeared to be inexperienced as it did not keep a steady distance away from our enemies. "Is Naga herself helping us?" I asked trying to understand why we suddenly had an extra piece of artillery.

This dragon poured its blue fiery breath across a large stream of Risen and gave us a much needed break for our lines to reform. Things got even stranger as I heard someone yell from the side of us.

"Lucina!" A man cried in delight and rushed towards us while nearly losing his life in the process as a stray arrow flew inches over his head. "My beautiful flower, I cannot express my deepest affections to see that you're safe."

"Oh!" Her eyes widened in shock as she recognized the man barely dodging Risen attacks as he neared. "Inigo, is that you?"

"Yes!" The swordsman declared triumphantly as he flung his hand across his hair. "Tis I, and at long last I have returned to you my dearest."

I glared back skeptically at Lucina and asked, "I take it he is a friend of yours?"

"Yes, but I can explain later." She replied as she blocked the blow of a swordsman and I moved in for the kill."

"Right. Inigo, was it?" I asked as the Risen I attacked vanished into a purple mist. "I need you to protect the clerics who are healing our injured soldiers!"

"What? Guard duty?" He cried in dismay. "You are mistaken sir. I belong at the front of the lines!"

"Just do as he says." Lucina commanded as another pair of Risen monsters approached us.

"... Okay my lady. Anything you say." He chirped and ran in the wrong direction.

"The clerics are the other way!" I shouted back.

"Er, right! I was just trying to throw the Risen off track!" He laughed as he went on his merry way.

I shook my head and said, "You have an interesting band of friends."

"Weeeee! Nya ha ha. So much blood. So much fun!" We heard Henry cry in the background.

"Shut up you moron and stop smiling!" Tharja shouted at the top of her lungs.

Lucina looked back at me strangely and said, "And you don't?"

I shrugged since I didn't know either how we survived longer than a day after leaving the castle. "Point taken."

"STOP YELLING AT FATHER!" Noire shouted in her manic state.

"Whelp, looks like that secret is out." I laughed trying to remain calm with the last wave of Risen approaching.

Lucina cursed under her breath and said, "I guess it was only a matter of time anyways"

*Ping* An arrow bounced off my shield as we continued fighting. Thankfully, the Risen stopped swarming in from the forest, and I did not sense any other beasts nearby. I still didn't know if I should trust this strange feeling in my gut, or if there were more hiding in the forest, but I went with my instincts and made a gamble to end this before any more of us got hurt.

I ordered our men to circle around and form an O shape so the remainder of the Risen forces would be inside our ring.

"Rarggh!" A Risen with its soulless eyes slammed its hammer against my sword. By now I was so tired that I found it difficult to get out-of-the-way, and the sheer force of his strike was too much for me to block with my sword.

"Ack!" I gagged and I felt my armor cut into my skin near my stomach. Thankfully my sword had deflected some of his blow to reduce the power of his attack, but he still hit hard enough to dent my armor deep into my skin.

"Robin!" Lucina cried out alarmed as she cut my attacker to pieces. The fury in her eyes matched the Risen as she sent him back to the depth of the underworld with a violent thrust.

"I'm fine." I winced and raised my hand to ease her worries. It was difficult to move with my metal suit digging into my skin, but I managed to pry away some of the scattered shards of metal. The edges of the shards were red with blood, but the wounds were smaller than my finger tips. In the meantime Lucina protected me as I pried the sharp objects away from my body. "Damn, this is going to leave a mark in the morning." I gritted my teeth and tried to shake off the pain.

Moments later I returned to the fighting, but the action was drawing near a close. In her anger, Lucina dropped four Risen before I could get back to help, and she was greatly relived when I came to her aid.

Meanwhile, the knot was tightening as our circle got smaller and smaller. No Risen could escape, and any attempt would be futile against our army's efforts. Although, we only had half of our strength remaining with our clerics very busy tending the wounded, so we had to bring the battle to a close very quickly before more shepherds got hurt.

That is when a giant eight-foot-tall Risen came into view with muscles bigger than my head. He looked to be the chief of the group so Miriel and Laurent burned it with an inferno of flames. Soon its putrid and burnt odor followed which was one of the worst things I ever smelled in my life. Yet, its charred body did not succumb to the flames.

Instead, it roared in anger and smashed it's axe down in front of the third dragon that I did not recognize. The giant wall of muscle would have connected too, if not for the Gregor and Lon'qu's combined strength to block the foe. But even then the strike sent them both tumbling to the ground with their weapons going in different directions.

In the next moment an arrow pierced the monster in the eye, but it didn't phase him either. Risen did not have the feeling of pain to slow them down, and despite his mangled body being burnt to a crisp, he lunged forward a second time and targeted Chrom.

"Grrraaaarggghh!" It roared with an ear-piercing wail.

"Chrom, look out!" I yelled and rushed forward alongside Lucina. Hopefully, the combined strength of the three of us could block his attack.

Just then, a spear exited from the monster's gut. It was enough to send him toppling to the ground, but not enough for him to give up. With the last of its strength, the beast continued its swing, without any way for Chrom to dodge the swipe."

"Hnnnngggh" I clench my teeth feeling his axe connect with my sword. It instantly splintered from the sheer force, but soon both Falchions were there to lend support.

As the beast hollered in hate and anger, I saw the axe inch closer, and closer to Lucina's face. She had jumped in front of Chrom so it would hit her instead, but I would not let it. Before my sword would shatter, I placed one of my hands on the back side of Lucina's Falchion and pushed with all my strength.

Instead of the sacred blade cutting into my hands, the edge dulled so it would not harm someone its wielder deemed a friend. With the pain growing stronger in my stomach from my earlier wounds, and my sword on the verge of collapsing, I dropped it and placed my other hand on Lucina's sword to push it forward with all of my might.

The three of us combined were barely able to stop it long enough for Sumia to rush in and lend her hand for the final push. Once the Risen vanished into a purple dust, I immediately counted my blessing that both Chrom and Lucina were safe while I looked back at my fragmented sword. It had been cut over halfway through with several shards breaking off near the hilt.

"I got him!" Kellam cried excitedly. "Did you guys see how I circled behind him and drove my spear into his- Oh … wait." His expression dropped and his voice became more raspy. "I'm guessing no one saw."

After the battle was over, we all took a moment to catch our breath. Well, most of us. The man we had met earlier decided that he did not need rest and came sprinting over towards Lucina to check on her.

"Lucina! I pray that your precious beauty remains unscathed."

I glared back at him, wondering why this man was so comfortable with throwing those words around her. "You said you knew this guy?" I asked suspicious of what he was trying to do.

She nodded and said, "This is Inigo, another one of my old friends from the past."

"Old friend?!" The mercenary cried hurt as he said with great vigor, "How can you say such a thing? We are destined soul-mates from the moment our eyes crossed each other. My love for you burns with a-"

"Don't mind him." She replied cheerfully as I suddenly found my patience thinning. "He says this stuff to every girl he meets."

The mercenary took offense to that statement and said, "I would never lie about the matters of the heart. Everything I say is-"

"And he is still alive?" I asked puzzled figuring that all it took was one jealous husband to be his end.

"It's a mystery." She raised her shoulder not knowing the answer either. "Nonetheless, it's good to see you are safe, but by any chance have you seen anyone else from our group?" She asked hopeful that her remaining friends were alive as well.

Inigo beamed and said, "Yes, Yarne and the charming Navi are my traveling companions."

"Really?! Are they unharmed?" She asked fervently with a hand on her heart hoping for good news.

"I think Yarne might have hit his head on … everything. But other than that, yes we are all okay. Navi is her usual self, but my heart broke without you around.

Lucina looked at him funny and said, "You know she hated it when you called her Navi in the past, right?"

"Really? I thought she liked it..." He said dumbfounded before quickly returning to his happy and carefree attitude. "Anyways, Nah is currently chasing after Yarne who is probably hiding under a rock or stuck up in a tree, but they should be back here soon. I'm sure they will be excited to see you almost as much as I am. Truth be told, a night has not gone by where I forgotten or no longer yearned for your shining face. Compared to the suns and the stars, they do not illuminate better than your cheeky, er ... cheeks."

"Inigo, you really shouldn't say those things." She warned while my hands balled up into a fist.

"But I cannot hide my deepest feelings for you my sweet. You are like a bar of silver in a diamond mine" He smiled warmly as he pulled a red rose from underneath his jacket. A couple of the petals were missing and it drooped like it was on its last stage of life.

"Can I kill him?" I asked half jokingly, but also somewhat serious.

Lucina reached over to unfold one of my fists and held it instead while she smiled back. "Perhaps we should spare his life for just a little longer. I mean, he did help us back there."

"True." I pondered realizing it probably would not be worth the effort anyways.

"And who might you be?" The mercenary asked slightly irritated. While I wasn't a fan of his games, he was clearly jealous the moment Lucina held my hand. A sign that I was an enemy in his attempts to seduce my wife. A detail I would be sure to inform him about before this was over.

"I'm Robin, and the tactician to the Shepherds. I've also been very lucky to call myself a great friend of the royal family." I smiled back as I proudly squeezed her hand. The hints of doubt inside of me vanished for a moment as this took priority.

"Hmm, I see." He whispered trying to evaluate me.

Lucina then spoke up and happily said, "I would not be here without his help. He has played a critical role in our effort to reclaim the gemstones. Not to mention he's always been so kind and supportive with everyone he meets. I personally owe him a lot because he has helped me get through a lot of rough times. Which is why it means so much that I can call him my-"

"But I've been there for you too!" He cried rather loudly.

She nodded and said, "I am very thankful for your help in the past. As I am for all of my friend's support during those dark days. However, as I was saying, Robin and I grew very fond of each over time and-"

"Fond? As in, friends?" Inigo asked cutting her off again.

"Well, yes." The all blue princess looked over to me and smiled warmly. Another sight that caught the mercenary off-guard. "But much more than friends. You see, we grew very close as time went by." Lucina glanced at her left hand to notice her glove was still hiding her skin. So she removed the covering and then cheerfully revealed the ring on her finger to the perplexed mercenary.

"Lucina?" He whispered completely baffled. "Why are you wearing someone else's ring?" He asked not understanding, or perhaps, desperately trying to deny what he was seeing.

"It's my ring." She glowed while her right thumb grazed the top of her golden band. "Robin gave it to me."

"B-but that would mean." He gulped as he tightened his grip and said, "Lucina! This man is trying to deceive and take advantage of your innocent nature! That is a wedding ring you are wearing."

"I know it is." Her grin widened as she leaned on me. "He let me pick the one I wanted when we went to buy them, and we got married the next day. I'm sorry we couldn't invite you, but it was a beautiful ceremony."

"N-no, that can't be." The once happy and careless mercenary desperately tried to rationalize what he heard while his eyes went blank.

"Inigo, are you okay?" Lucina asked worried. "You look a little pale."

"Y-yeah, I'm fine." He whispered softly as he looked at the ground. "... Congratulations Lucina, I am happy for you." A moment later he would walk away without saying goodbye as I heard him mumble something as he left.

Lucina sighed seeing him so down before turning towards me and said, "Don't worry, he will be okay in a minute or two."

"Somehow I doubt that." I muttered seeing how devastated he was.

"Trust me, if I know Inigo he will pick himself up and try to swoon the next girl he sees. That is just how he is."

"Oh, I see." I thought it over a little bit more, and realized that didn't sound right. "Wait, what?"

...

Robin tried not to laugh and said, "It was true. The second he crossed paths with Severa, Noire, and Cynthia, he went back to full-scale lover boy mode."

"Hehe, yeah, he is really funny with some of the ridiculous stuff he says. Sometimes I think he tops Owain." Morgan laughed back.

"I don't know about that." Her mother replied in doubt. "No one is as colorful as my cousin."

"True, but he makes a close second for the silly things he says."

"Heh, I suppose so." Robin chuckled.

"To be fair, I think he actually does mean what he says." Lucina tried to say politely. "He just doesn't understand that what he is saying is coming off too strong, or that it's going to get him hurt."

"No, I'm pretty sure he realizes he is going to get hurt. That kid has been hit in the nuts so many times I doubt he will be able to have children."

"Speaking of children." Morgan's stomach grumbled as the young tactician grew hungry. "How do you intend to feed your sweet and lovely child cabbage and onions for lunch?"

Lucina frowned and said, "I'm really am sorry Morgan. It was an honest mistake."

"Besides, it's your fault for rushing us back at the castle. You barely gave us anytime to pack." Robin added knowing that she had demanded they leave will all haste.

The girl crossed her arms and said accusingly to her father. "And where were you during this food catastrophe?"

"I was in the stables informing our staff that we needed a cart to ride with our four fastest horses."

"And I had to pack the weapons and armor." Lucina replied as she unwrapped a cloth bag next to her and looked inside to reveal its contents.

"Eng, then I think I will pass on lunch." She murmured lowly. "I don't think I could stomach that stuff."

"Are you sure you don't want to eat anything?" Her mother asked concerned.

"Yeah. At least not until we reach the capital."

"Well, okay." Robin nodded back. "I guess that means there is more for us."

"Indeed, I think we will both eat well today." Lucina smiled as she pulled out something from her sack. It felt soft in her hands, and still warm because the desert sun helped keep its fresh flavor."

"Huh?" Morgan's eyes widened seeing her mother hold a bright brown loaf of bread that was pre-cut in threes. She then pulled out a bundle of carrots along with a selection of preserved meat.

"Would you like beef or turkey with your sandwich dear?" Lucina asked sweetly.

"Surprise me."

"Huh?!" Morgan looked at both of them very confused. Her mother seemed to have no trouble finding a variety of food in her bag as she brought everything she could that wouldn't spoil over the course of the trip.

"Are you still sure you don't want to eat shorty?" Robin laughed back.

But you said you only had cabbage, onions and-" Morgan squinted her eyes and looked back at her mother unsure. "Wait a second. Mom, did you just pull my leg?"

"Mhm." She smiled back and looked back towards her husband. "How did I do?"

Robin smiled and said, "You're getting better. Pretty soon you will be pulling jokes on me too."

Lucina beamed with a glowing smile, "I don't know about that dear. It's not an easy task to trick you. Besides, I wouldn't want to lie to my dashing husband."

"Hmph, but you have no issue lying to your only daughter!" She grumbled back.

"Nope." He replied coolly. "No issue at all."
