Hello. Yea, Yea I know. Ι haven't updated for a while and I'm apologizing for that. But I am in the midst of personal crisis. Plus, I have received many complaints on PM's which affected me so much that I began to have doubts whether I should continue to write this story or not. So, I decided to update for the time being. Of course I will continue to write but I won't publish my chapters until I make my final decision. I hope you respect my wish.
Specials thanks:

It had been weeks he hadn't worked on something, since the night that Vance had visited him and informed him about 'Operation Cain'. He was just sitting there in the basement, drinking a glass of bourbon or a cup of coffee every night and thought how things went so wrong. It was difficult for him to accept that soon enough his team would be without his 'two children' Tony and Ziva on board. But it wasn't that it hurt most. The selfishness, the proud and the need to control his Agents' lives, tore apart the couple, and knowing that one of his rules, his dictatorial behavior and his selfish attitude deprived their happiness, he felt a knot of guilt in his heart. Gibbs took a sip of his bourbon and casted his gaze on the wrapped items across him. His desire to see Tony and Ziva having a baby had completely crushed. Only reminders of this dream were a crib and a rocking chair on a dark corner of his basement, a dream that it wouldn't come true because of him. The ex-Marine's thoughts were interrupted by hearing his front door shut. He didn't expect anyone and the steps of his visitor were unknown to him. Whoever were, they knew his living accommodations but his gut was telling him that danger probably was still lurking. Gibbs pulled his gun from its holster and pointed it at the unknown intruder who was going down the stairs.
"Nice to see you too, Agent Gibbs." the man derided going down the last steps. The grey-haired man lowered his gun watching who the visitor was. "Do you always welcome your visitors like that?"
Gibbs rolled his eyes. "I thought we had an appointment in your office tomorrow morning." he took a chug of his drink and threw his Sig on his workbench. He wasn't in a mood of talking right now, much more to have a conversation related on a case. He had to be sober and have clear head to do that. That night he just had the need to drink, to wash his sorrows.
The man looked around the room pulling the cuffs of his suit. "I apologize but an important appointment came up for tomorrow that I couldn't postpone it."
The ex-Marine eyed carefully the man across him and put his glass on the workbench next to his Sig. "If it is that the case." he stood from the chair and gave it to his visitor to sit. "Nice to see you, Mr. Parsons."
Parsons nodded his thanks. "So," he started adjusting the legs of his pants the moment he sat. "How can an IG Investigator help you and your team?" he asked with interest. Their first meetings weren't on good terms because of the investigation that Parsons was conducted for the ex-Marine, but during the Parsa case slowly that changed.
"I'm working on a Gun Smuggling case." The ex-Marine leaned against his workbench.
"Not the first time you are working on this kind of a case." Parsons really couldn't understand how he could help Gibbs on his current case. He didn't solve crimes but he was investigating people who had to do with the Department of Defense.
Gibbs crossed his gaze with Parsons' and pushed himself from the workbench. "Have you ever heard the 'Trojan Horse' Project?" he took some paces around his basement. He stopped abruptly in the corner where he had stashed his creations for Tony's and Ziva's baby. He sighed. Truth be told, during that month it crossed many times his mind to burn them but for a strange reason, he always changed his mind few moments before doing it. The man shoved his hands into the pockets of his pants. He wondered if what was stopping from doing it was a slight hope that things would back to normal, like they were before.
"Never heard of it before." the DoD Investigator replied, distracting Gibbs from his thoughts. The younger man understood that Gibbs' request for their meeting had to do with work and he wasn't mistaken. What else could concern after all?
Gibbs swiveled his attention back to his visitor still keeping his hands shoved in his pockets. "What about "Operation Frankenstein?" Parsons jumped from his seat upon hearing those words, his eyes wide open in shock. "I see I attracted you attention after all." he scoffed lightly with a chuckle.
"The son of bitch!" Parsons fumed. "What else did Daveport do?" When he had heard for the first time about 'Operation Frankenstein' he felt disgrace for those people who did what they did on those Marines. He agreed 'that all's fair in war' but manipulating people who wanted to serve with loyalty their country, using them as pawns was unacceptable for a true American. Only the thought of that made him sick. It might sound strange but the cruel, pathetic Richard Parsons had self-consciousness.
"He wasn't the only one that-"
"I'm very well aware of that Gibbs. Get to the point!" the younger man's gaze became heated, as he interrupted Gibbs. He knew who they were the ones who had inspired that project. However, he couldn't understand how an old case like that had to do with Gibbs' current investigation and most of all, him.
"Trojan Horse was a previous and unsuccessful version of 'Operation Frankenstein.' It is supposed that it never started but I was informed otherwise." Gibbs returned back to his workbench and took his Sig on his hand. "The Project was indeed started and lasted five months."
"Do you trust your source?" Parson asked seriously.
Gibbs checked the magazine of his gun. "With my life." he cleaned and locked the Sig before placing it back on its holster.
"Gibbs what do you want from me?" Parsons' patient had begun to wear out as Gibbs wasn't giving him a straight answer for the reason of his presence.
Gibbs turned and looked at him keeping his glass on his hand. "After 'Trojan Horse' was shut down 'Operation Frankenstein' started and you know very well what happened afterwards." he took a sip of his bourbon.
The man approached the ex-Marine and stood at the same level with his interlocutor. "What do you want from me?" he repeated his previous question. It was obvious the irritation on his voice. Parsons wanted explanations, but Gibbs kept stalling them.
"'Trojan Horse' project is might connected with the Gun Smuggling case I'm working. There are indications that the project was restarted."
"By whom?" Parsons made few steps back aghast.
"That's I want you to find out." Gibbs replied without hesitation. "The only thing I know is that CIA might be involved on it. You know people. Maybe if you pull some strings-"
"I don't know if I can." Parsons answered cutting Gibbs off. "You know," he rubbed the back of his head taking few steps around the room. "They are not so fond of you on DoD." The government employee looked back at the silver haired man. "I managed to help you with Agent DiNozzo and informed you about…" drew a deep breath. "I might have stopped being your enemy but that doesn't mean that our…friendship isn't widely favoured on some of my superiors."
"So…"
"CIA is independent Agency. Maybe you should ask help from someone else, with higher clearance." Parsons shrugged. "I know that the Sec of Navy likes you."
"I can't involve her on something that I'm not sure." Gibbs argued. He turned to Joanna Teague for help, the only person she could trust on the CIA, but her clearance wasn't high enough to find anything, even if it indeed existed something. She was a common Agent, nothing more, so any research would have ended up to a dead end anyway. As for Parsons' suggestion it was out of question. He wasn't 100% sure that 'Trojan Horse' project had to do something with the case and any mention to Porter could cause more troubles than it solved.
'"But I can't guarantee my help to you either." Parsons shot back with honesty. "However, I'll see what I can do." he adjusted his tie and walked toward the stairs. "By the way," he stopped for a moment almost on the top of the stairs and his eyes fell on Gibbs. "The information I gave you in January about-"
"I checked them." Gibbs finished for him. "There is no reason for us to worry about…it."
"Good. I'm glad for that." Parsons seemed satisfied with the answer that he received. "Goodnight Agent Gibbs, if I would be able to find out anything…"
"You would let me know." Gibbs completed Parsons' thinking and took the last chug of his bourbon.
Parsons only nodded in affirmation and hurried up the stairs. When his heard his front door close Gibbs went back to workbench and poured some bourbon. Afterwards, he walked to the corner which he had placed the baby's items. Apart from had happened between him and his Agents, he still considered Tony and Ziva as his children. It was the reason he was still willing to fight for them, for their happiness even though they had already given up.
"Buy me some time!" it was the only thing that Gibbs said, after he burst open the door.
Vance put his glasses off sighing and placed them on his desk. His Agent had really a problem on knowing how to knock a door. "Good morning you too, Jethro." he replied with a scoff and looked at the silver-haired man.
"Good morning Leon I need you to buy me some time." the ex-Marine repeated his request more intense that time. "About the case, l mean." he knew very well that case would probably never be solved, filing it as cold eventually, considering the lack the evidence, but at least he would have the time to find a way to bring Tony and Ziva close to each other.
Vance stood from his desk, so he would have better look of Gibbs. "You have got it." he answered simply and put a toothpick between his teeth.
"Really?" Gibbs asked in disbelief. He expected Vance to answer negatively, whining about the amount of work that was overloaded to the other teams. Instead of that though, he received a positive reply which was helping him to work on his plan for Tony's and Ziva's reunion.
However, Vance's eagerness made Gibbs suspicious about him. Something was fishy and he was going to find out what it was, no matter what.
"Your deadline is at the end of November." The ultimatum that Vance presented, gave Gibbs at length more time than initially had in mind. The ex-Marine had to act fast so the couple would be reunited before Ziva's birthday on November 12th, which was also the day of their wedding ceremony. He wanted everything for them to happen as they had planned and dreamt the beginning of their common life.
"What's the catch?" the silver-haired man couldn't help but ask. His gut was telling him something was wrong. Vance wasn't doing anything without taking something in return.
Vance rounded his desk and stood in front it leaning against it. "Like I told you before, I know very well how your family falling apart is." he crossed his arms in front of him, facing Gibbs. "I'm not the selfish, heartless bastard that all of you think I' am. Well," he shrugged "Behaving like jerk sometimes goes with the job," he uncrossed his arms and walked back, behind of his desk. "It goes with that big chair where I have to sit and run this Agency." he placed his hand on the chair of his desk.
Gibbs didn't say anything. He always believed that people on high-level positions, were heartless people who cared only for politics that's why he didn't like them. It was what he had learnt from his superiors over years, especially Vance. He had used the team Gibbs for his politic games many times. However, the ex-Marine couldn't pass over that the Director was also next to the team many times on difficult moments just like it was the mission in Somalia and more recently with Tony's trouble because of Keates.
"Your deadline is at the end of November." Vance repeated his previous statement wanting to emphasize that there was no way the ex-Marine would have additional time on taking care of the mess on his team.
Gibbs only nodded and walked for the door. He had to think of a good plan for Ziva's and Tony's reunion. The silver-haired turned the door knob, so he would open the door and exit the room.
"Jethro." Vance's pronunciation made him stop.
"Yes?" Gibbs turned and looked at his superior.
"Good luck."
Thank you." Gibbs smiled sadly and exited the room closing the door behind him.
The day for the team at work started too early in the morning. Gibbs wanted all his Agents, included Keates, at the office by 7 a.m., so they would search the information considering the participants on the 'Trojan Horse' Project. Everyone was there on time, including Ziva and Tony. Although, the SFA had stayed at Ziva's place for a second night in the row, being as her fiancé again after their reunification, they had decided to keep it secret from everyone. A possible interference of their friends or Gibbs could cause more confusion than help that particular moment when they were still matters in their relationship that they had to be resolved. That's why when the couple stepped into the bullpen, Tony and Ziva pretended nothing had changed since the last time they had met at work. They were so cautious to keep their secret, that Ziva took the stairs to the bullpen while Tony used the elevator.
"Good morning McGee." Tony saluted his co-worker and sat on his desk. He ignored completely Zoe's presence that she was standing next to McGee in front of the screen. After spending 36 amazing hours with Ziva he had to go back at work and tolerate Zoe into his face. The only comfort which made him feel better it was his fiancée's sight once in a while in front of him. Tony rested his chin on his fist staring at something far off in the distance. He had been apart from her only 30 minutes, as they drove on separate cars, and he had already missed her as Hell.
"Good morning McGee." Ziva greeted seconds later and Tony snapped out of his brief reverie, looking around quickly at her.
She had already put the steely Mossad face in place, but he knew what she was thinking, how she felt. He had caught the quick glimpse of hers while she was walking towards her desk. Her eyes were telling him she had missed him those 30 minutes as much as he had missed her. Ziva sat on her desk not looking at all at Zoe who was peeling at her.
"Good morning, Ziva." McGee grinned and walked to his desk. "Tony." he addressed stony with accusatory eyebrows and tone and sat before he started typing furiously on his keyboard. He couldn't believe that Tony had given up of fighting for Ziva and started one-stands again. He was aware of that sooner or later Tony would have moved on from her and versa but what angered him was Tony's behavior. That time he found it hypocritical for his friend to cry over the woman of his life, while few hours later, he was sleeping with some other woman or girl who stole his attention on some infamous bar.
Tony understood that McGee's demeanor toward him had to do with the previous morning. The fact he hadn't slept on his co-worker's apartment, made the wrong impression on McGee, as the younger man assumed that he had returned back on his old habits. The SFA turned his head and looked at McGee. He really wanted to tell his friend that he was with Ziva when he called him the day before, but that meant he had to reveal his and his fiancée's secret, something it was not the case for the moment.
Ziva could sense the tension between Tony and McGee and she knew the reason very well. She was informed by her fiancé what McGee had told him on the phone the day before. Ziva felt bad, even guilty about keeping hers and Tony's reunion hidden, especially from McGee, who was like brother to her. She stared crosscut at McGee who was focused on his computer and her gaze met Tony's who had already had his attention to the younger man. He could see the apologetic look in her eyes because of accusations that their co-worker made against him. It was Ziva's suggestion to keep secret the new development in their relationship, after all. Tony only agreed as he considered it a good idea but also something that could make the adrenaline pump in their relationship.
All that time Zoe was watching the exchange between Tony and Ziva with interest. Something had changed between them since the last time she had seen them outside shower rooms, she could sense it. She tried to study more the couple's interaction but her attempt fell flat. She saw Gibbs entering the squad room and immediately started to work. However, sooner or later the woman had intention to find out what had happened, if Ziva and Tony had gotten back together, and she would discover that with any cost.
They had passed several hours, but the investigation still hadn't yielded any results. The 20 US Marines who took part on the 'Trojan Horse' Project had either been killed in the line of duty or had been during ground combats. Gibbs didn't consider those things couldn't be coincidences. They had to find evidence, because if they couldn't, they had to rely on the reports from the other allies' countries which probably couldn't be helpful either. That's why they were so focused on what they were doing; they had been working so diligently that they had even skipped the lunch time, as they had forgotten the meal completely. It was Gibbs' stomach hours later that growled loudly and alarmed the rest of team. They never had heard such a noise from the Team Leader, a noise that they usually received by Tony's stomach when he was famished. The ex-Marine just shrugged watching five pairs of eyes on him, and with a small nod, he gave the mark for a late lunch break. Gibbs, McGee, Ellie and Zoe dashed into the elevator, while Ziva moved in the opposite direction and to the break room. Not wanting to risk of being caught, Tony waited for few minutes pretending to work. He wanted to make sure the rest of the Agents on the bullpen were so focused on their task that they wouldn't notice his absence, but most of all, where he had intention to go. When he was completely certain no one was paying attention on him, he stood from his desk and ran towards the direction where Ziva had gone before. After checking to make sure the coast was clear, meaning that nobody was around, he opened the door of the break room. Tony stopped on the door and leaning against the doorframe he was watching Ziva fixing her tea. The desire, the need to touch her, to feel her lips on his, was unbearable. He couldn't wait until they would go home. The amount of work they had, presaged that it would keep them in the office, more than their usual work hours, that's why he had to do something and soothe the unceasing lust that was running through his body. The man closed the door behind him locking it. He crossed the space between them and stood behind Ziva, wrapping his arms around her waist.
"Hey." Tony grinned and pressed his lips to the exposed tan skin of her neck.
"Hey." Ziva smiled and took a gulp of her tea. The woman turned around into his arms and gave him a quick peck on the lips.
"What's wrong?" Tony questioned with a worried look. He could detect the tenseness on her, every time he caught a glimpse of hers during the day. She felt uncomfortable during her work, neural every time a lead came to a dead end.
Ziva took one more gulp from her cup and shut her eyes sighing. "That case has exhausted me completely." she admitted. She drank once more sip of tea from her cup and opened eyes leaning against the counter. "I mean, we have worked on long cases before without result but-" she halted sighing once more.
"But?" Tony asked and squeezed her right shoulder looking deep into her eyes.
Ziva lowered her head. "Something is bugging me. I do not know what it is, but…" she trailed off. "I want this case to be solved. I have no idea why, but I really want to get over with it. But we have got nothing." she shrugged sadly and took the cup on her both hands. She couldn't understand why she had that obsession with this case, why she wanted so much that mystery to be solved. She had the same feeling when Adam told her about his assignment to Mossad. Something was hinky and she had to discover what it was no matter what.
"I know." Tony replied sympathetically with a hint of disappointment in his voice. The man shoved his hands into the pockets on his pants and leaned against the counter next to Ziva. "And I'm afraid we won't have any." he went on looking down on the floor. "Probably the case will be folded cold."
He really hated the fact he couldn't solve sometimes the cases, when the criminals went unpunished. One similar occasion was the current case. Although those four people had committed high treason, the ones who were responsible for their deaths were more dangerous. If they had the ability to manipulate people mentally and possibly snuggle guns, then hundreds or even thousands lives could still be at stake.
"But there is still hope." he told further.
They were still waiting the lists and the information for the other countries, but Tony wasn't meaning that. Unknown to the rest of the team and Ziva, he had one more thing up to his sleeve. However, he had despaired of having any result. He had passed the letter with his request one week ago few minutes before he met Angelina on the café, but the addressee still hadn't responded. Ziva turned her head and looked at him with Tony doing the same thing few seconds afterwards, as he sensed his fiancée's gaze.
"Still, there is no guarantee they will find out something." Ziva replied almost sadly, completely unaware for Tony's deed. "Have you talked to our Office in Marseille?" she turned her head and looked in front of her drinking from her cup.
"Yeah." Tony confirmed. "But they told me they have to contact our Embassy and the Embassy with the French Ministry of Defense, so it will approve our request and sends us the information." he explained. "It will take days, so we shouldn't expect anything before Monday, not to mention that it might take more days." he added annoyed. "Oh, same goes for Australia." he informed and ran the fingers of his right hand through his hair.
"What about NATO HQ's?"
Tony shook his head. "No. Responsible for these matters are the Ministries of Defense and Gibbs isn't willing to interfere ours."
"Great!" Ziva scoffed and placed her cup on the counter. She took her ponytail on her hands and started playing the tendrils in her fingertips.
"What about you?" Tony looked at Ziva.
Ziva swirled to face him snacking back from her thoughts. "I talked with Nicko and told me that his father is willing to help us." she revealed.
Tony eyed her seriously. "Really?" the question came impulsively from him. Nicko had told him he would help as much as he could, but only providing information and clarification about the original 'Trojan Horse' Project. Although, he was part of a program and knew the candidates, he couldn't have access on those kinds of files. He was a retired Military Officer, living on a different country as a citizen of it. "I mean how? He…" he trailed off. The surprise on his voice was obvious and he wanted to know what kind of explanation Ziva would give him for her statement.
"Nicko's father is the Director of NIS* the last 4.5 years." she let her ponytail fall on her shoulder. "It is the National Intelligence Service of Greece. It has nothing to do with NIS, the former NCIS." she explained further seeing the confused look on Tony. "He was former high-ranked Military Officer with connections in the Hellenic Army; I know he can help us."
"If only." Tony breathed and rested both of his palms on the counter, droppimg his eyes to the floor. "However, what has completely amazed me was Nicko's eagerness to help us."
Ziva just looked at him, holding her stare for some time with Tony's eyes flashing back at her. "He wants repentance." she retorted without tearing her eyes away from her fiancé. "He has values, principles and-"
"And he enshrined them." Tony cut in. "He didn't reveal to you things about me when you asked him." he went on and Ziva looked at him quizzically. "Come on! Did you think I believed what you and Nicko said about the reason of your visit to him that night?" He wanted to make known to Ziva that he wasn't naïve. He was aware of the real reason of her visit on their friend's house that night. She wanted to know his last secret, what Zoe did to him, but Nicko had the virtue and valor not to tell her.
"I was going to say that he felt in some way responsible for what he did, what was happening on the Project." Ziva voiced after she came round from the shock that Tony's words had caused. "But I will not deny that you are right about whatever you have said." It was pointless for her to argue that he was wrong because her visit had indeed purpose to elicit information from Nicko about him. She just wanted Tony drop the issue as quickly as possible.
"Why didn't you join the Academy?" Tony didn't push further because the way she answered, confirmed his thoughts about that night on Nicko's place. He understood she wanted to change subject that's why, he asked her about the decision she had made for not joining the Evelpidon Academy. Ziva had quoted by heart every word Nicko had said during the interrogation considering that school and the letter she had on her desk that approved her application to study there, supported his suspicions. She wanted to change her life, getting away from Mossad much earlier before coming to America but something stopped her from doing it.
Ziva looked at him shocked. She wondered how he had found out about that snippet of her life. She wondered if Tony had dug her personal stuff on her desk or her behavior that day on the observation room uncovered more things about that time of her life. "Wha-"
"I saw the letter on your desk, the day before. "Tony cut her off immediately. "After you woke up and went to the break room." he explained.
Ziva tried to walk away from him but Tony grasped her left wrist stopping her. "Ziva,"he whispered. "Don't shut me out. Please." he begged. He felt her relax at his words. Ziva uttered a deep sigh Ziva and placed her palm reassuring him with her touch that she wasn't going anywhere. Tony let her wrist after bringing it to his lips and kissing it.
"When I decided to join Mossad, no one approved my choice." Ziva started, leaning against the counter once more. "Neither my aunt, nor Tali. Not even Ari." she confessed and folded her arms in front her. "No one, but my father." she went on and looked down on the floor. Tony walked towards her and leaned against the counter too mirroring Ziva's position. "I was in Mossad almost a year when Tali came one day from school and suggested me something. She told me that she made a research considering the best Military Academies in Europe and America. She did not want me to die before my 30's, before I manage to have a family. She believed a Military career would have been safer than being a Mossad Officer and she was not mistaken." Ziva lifted her head up and looked and Tony who hadn't taken his eyes from her all that time. "She wanted me happy."
"That's why you applied."
"I wanted also to get away from Mossad. I wanted to see Tali grow up and become all the things she wanted to be, to do things I could not do in my life. I could not go back to IDF. My father would have found a way to stop it, so he would keep me to Mossad." Ziva tried to defend her decision to go on a foreign country and study to become a Military Officer.
"And you applied in Greece."
Ziva nodded slightly and tilted her head looking at the wall in front of her. "It was the best choice I could have. It was a good Academy, with good recommendations. There was a Greek Officer who came to Mossad through an exchange training program and let good impressions to his trainers, including me." she informed. "Plus, that Academy was close to Israel, so I would visit my sister whenever I had the chance. And my father's influence there was useless." she explained. "I would have gone back to Israel and joined IDF without him having the ability to stop it. To stop me." she told further. "I will never forget that…that day, that moment when my sister came with the letter in her hands." she floated away to her thoughts. "I had day off from Mossad. It was early morning and I was reading a book in my room, on my bed." she continued her narration not tearing her eyes from the wall. "I will…I will never forget her eagerness for me to open the envelope, her squeal when I told her that my application was approved." she smiled sadly. "I will never forget her words when she made me promise her that I would go there no matter what. I will never…" she halted swallowing a lump into her throat "I will never forget how I mostly begged her for me to drive her at school that day, but she told me that I should stay at home, and enjoy my accomplishment. That she would come later that evening and celebrate with me, but…"she trailed off before continuing. "But she never came back." she managed to complete with difficulty. "She never came back." she repeated wiping a tear from her eye.
Tony needed some time to process her words and when he deciphered them, the realization hit him like a lighting bolt. "It was the day that Tali died." he swirled his head and looked at her.
She didn't reply either with her body language or her words. However, the way she had let out her shaky breath denoted her affirmative answer.
"You believed there was no point of going to that Academy anymore." Tony stated following along his thinking.
"I did not join that Academy because I wanted revenge." Ziva swung her head toward Tony feeling his gaze. "Ari tried to stop me, telling that Tali would have wanted to keep my promise, that she would nott have wanted for me to become an assassin like him, like Eli, but I did not listen to him." she returned her look on the floor. "I asked my father to let me track down the responsible for Tali's death. He was more than excited for my request and assigned me the mission. Namir, Malachi and Michael with me in charge tracked them down to Egypt. Consider it as coincidence or Fate, NCIS was chasing the same branch of Hamas and that was when I met Jenny."
"It was the time you saved her life."
"Yes. It was during the annihilation of our targets, and since then we became friends." she clarified.
"I'm sorry." he didn't know what else to say listening to Ziva's story. He couldn't think some other words that they could describe how he felt that moment; he was sure they weren't any. Ziva turned and looked at him. "I'm sorry for your sister, for giving up your dreams." he looked at her once more. "For losing your chance to do whatever you wanted in your life."
"It is okay." Ziva said casually "It is the past and…and I have left a part of this story behind."
"Well, considering the way you reacted to my question I don't think you have." it wasn't accusation the way he said it but he was scared Ziva would construe his words like that. She seemed influenced by the conversation as hard as she tried to hide it.
"No it just…it just I was surprised by your question, that is all." she wasn't offended by Tony's words. Her reaction on his question wasn't the most dispassionate and it would be unfair for her to misunderstand them. On the contrary Tony was right, with her finding his words completely justified.
"And truth be told," Ziva went on keeping her chocolate eyes pinned on the green-hazel of Tony's. "Every time I read that letter I wonder if I would have ever met you if I had gone to Greece."
"Well, I believe Fate's always making sure for the soulmates find each other no matter what. As far away as they are from each other, as much as time it needs for them to meet." he smiled at her slightly. The stars would have aligned for us, babe!" he exclaimed happily. Ziva laughed and looked at him with a glint in her eyes, burying her face on his chest afterwards.
Tony kissed her gently on the top of her head. After few moments when the tension had dissipated the woman spoke again. "I sent an email to Angelina this morning." she said and pulled herself from Tony. "I asked her if she could help us considering the German volunteers. She said she will, and sent a gif of hers showing thumbs up."
"You told her we are back together, didn't you?" he told her teasingly and pushed himself from the counter standing right in front of her few moments later. "Because I might not know her as well as you, but something makes me think she sent you that gif because you told her about us."
Ziva nodded "Well, I could not keep it secret from her." she defended. "In a way, she was on my side all that month, she on my side all those years that I had a crash on you and…" she halted for a second sighing. "And I cannot say I treated her well the last time I met her. It was the least thing I could do for my bad behavior towards her besides apologizing." she continued with shame. She wasn't proud of the way she had treated Angelina one week ago. The way she had assailed her friend when she went back at home after the meeting she had with Tony, was unacceptable. Although, Angelina was understanding and reassured her that there was no bad blood between them, Ziva couldn't stop feeling guilty for the way she behaved to the younger woman. She knew how Angelina cared for her happiness that's why she informed her through the e-mail about the new development on her relationship with Tony.
"I'm glad you have." Tony's hand cradled her cheek. "It's good one of the people who love us, know the truth." Tony referred and ran his index finger along her left arm until his fingers laced with hers.
"I'm sorry we did not tell McGee about us." the guilt on her voice was detectable. If she hadn't come up with that idea they would have spilled the beans immediately for the current status that she and Tony had. However, Ziva believed they needed sometime to work things out between them before making the announcement. She still couldn't recover from the shock of Tony's and Zoe's relationship much more from the march of events during the previous month and the sudden reconciliation with her fiancé.
"It's okay." Tony assured Ziva placed his right hand on her hip. "Actually I find it a good idea." he gave the seal of approval on Ziva's suggestion. "We could spend some time with ourselves. If we had told McGee he would have started looking at us weirdly, not to mention that he wouldn't have kept it secret from Abby. And you know what it would have meant that."
"It would have been all over the building in half an hour." Ziva replied rolling her eyes.
Tony nodded and started rubbing her left palm with his thumb. He knew very well that she loved that action but most all, he was aware of that she was turning on because of it. "Besides," he leaned over closer to her ear. "The fact we are secretly together makes all of this more temping." he whispered into her ear. "More…arousing." he added and kissed tenderly her cheek.
Ziva shut her eyes feeling his soft lips on her skin, the way his tongue licked it, so he would taste her. "Where is my tea?" she opened her eyes and pulled herself from Tony turning her back on him.
It wasn't she didn't enjoy Tony's teasings, but she wanted to play hard to get a little, so she would tease him but most all, to see how he would react. Tony went behind her and pressed himself against her. After taking the cup on her hand to drink a sip of her tea, Ziva bit her lower from inside feeling his tumescent groin against her ass. She had played unfair and it backfired to her immediately.
"You seem tensed." Tony put his hands on her shoulders and started massaging them.
That kind of intimacy could help Ziva relax a bit. However, he knew, he was certain it had caused the quite opposite. He was torturing her turning her on completely.
On the other hand Ziva tried to fight the sexual arousal that Tony's massage created but the way he was sliding his thumbs on vertebrae of her hairline sent electricity straight into her core. "Please, do not stop." her request came out as moan. Finally, she had given in. The power that Tony had over her with any touch he gave her was unbelievable, even it was a massage in the break room. "This is so nice."
Tony could feel the tension coiled in her muscles and bent to kiss her neck receiving a sweet sigh of pleasure from her. "As good as sex?" he couldn't help but ask. The reactions that Ziva had that moment were usually reserved for their bedroom. He knew very well that massage could increase libido, but the way Ziva expressed the need for him to continue what he was doing, and the way her body was responding to his touches couldn't make him think otherwise. They way Ziva was moaning and sighing reminded him how she was behaving every time they stayed in bed to engage on other forms of activities than massage or sleep. Maybe he had managed what he had in mind.
"Better." Ziva blurted out, and slammed the cup of tea on the counter, her eyes closed from pleasure. The word escaped her mouth before she knew it but she didn't mind, it was after all the truth. "Sex…with you…always…better." she could barely utter the words. His fabulous masseuse skills had swirled her over into oblivion. "The best I have ever had."
Tony smiled. 'Mission accomplished.' he thought. "Then I should give you a reward for that compliment of yours." he whispered into her ear, nibbling her earlobe with his teeth. He could barely hold himself for not taking her over there. The need to touch her, to taste her wetness like he had done two nights before had overtaken him. He was desperate to feel the heat of her core on his fingers, to see the seductive smile playing on her lips the moment he would start stroking her already throbbing and sensitive bundle of nerves between her legs.
Ziva spun around and looked at him pushing him lightly away from her. "What kind of?" she questioned the desire obvious both in her voice and eyes. His eyes were dark than usual, full of emotion just like they were every time he made love to her, like every time she became his.
Tony stepped into her presence more, his gaze never falling away from hers. "Give you a preview of what is going to happen later in your house."
Ziva didn't have the chance to reply. To correct him that it was 'their house', as he pinned her against the counter, yelping on the sudden contact she had with his body. "Please tell me that it is your knee." She didn't drop the chance to tease him feeling his swollen penis pressed against her lower abdomen. Besides, he was the one who kept mentioning that particular line, even years later. It had become for him some kind of an inside joke, a teasing between them during the foreplay. However, that moment, on that place whatever Tony's answer was, Ziva had made up her mind. She wanted something more than a simple massage session. She wanted him to take her there. It wouldn't be on Gibbs' desk like she had fantasized it so many nights during all those years, but she had no problem. They had plenty of time to make reality that particular fantasy, anyway. The only thing that she wanted was to enjoy what it was about to come.
Tony shook his head. "Definitely not." he didn't let her time to adjust his upcoming action. Putting his hands on her hips Tony lifted her quickly and sat her on the edge of the counter with him stepping between her legs. He let the elevators eyes drift over her as he was loosing the elastic band of her ponytail. She had the most gorgeous hair he had seen in his life. He had never felt so soft hair of a woman on his fingers. Tony met Ziva's gaze, her hair cascade down her shoulders. She was so beautiful, so beautiful that moment, that he thought he had never seen her so beautiful before. Placing his right hand behind Ziva's, head, Tony kissed her and pressed himself against her more, with his left hand resting on the back of her waist. He couldn't fight the urge to intertwine his fingers with the locks of her hair; he couldn't fight the need to do something more than making out with her.
Ziva let a shaky breath the moment Tony's lips parted from hers. She could feel the skin of her jaw line burning on the places where Tony had trailed his lips. She was so lost, so hypnotized that she hadn't realized when Tony cupped one of her breasts, under her shirt with his left hand. She hadn't realized that Tony's right hand had stopped playing with her curls and moved it on her pants unzipping them. She hadn't realized that-
"Oh my God." Although Tony's action caught her unprepared, she didn't scream. She only gasped as his middle finger pressed against her. She was feeling her nerves pulsating as he was thrusting it in and out slowly unable to her to maintain her sanity. His touch and the intimacy she had with him made her feel as if she were in Heaven. "Fuck!" she screamed in a tiny cry. She was rarely cursing during the coition but the way Tony curled his finger into her bought her little closer to edge.
"Shh." Tony cooed and wrapped his left arm around her.
He wasn't afraid of that they would be perceptible by their colleagues. He wanted her to be quite so her orgasm would be sped. There was no more beautiful site for Tony than Ziva coming hard for him silently. There was no better feeling for him than having his fingers into her core, her heat radiating through her. "Shh." he reiterated and stuck his finger deeper into Ziva's core. 'Sweet Heaven.' he thought. He loved the feeling of her hot moisture engulf his fingers, he loved the way her juices felt viscid on his fingertips.
Tony slid a second finger inside her and pressed his thumb on her clit with Ziva jolting into his hug. His touches and thrusts were so intense that made her dig her nails to his shoulders. She had to throw her head forward sinking her teeth into the fabric of Tony's jacket, so she would not scream, so it would not be known all over the building, how Tony made her erupt in pleasure that moment. Ziva tilted her hips against Tony's hand. She wanted desperately her release, that's why she set up a slow, steady, but sharp rhythm against his fingers.
Tony couldn't help but synchronize on the act that his fiancée desired burying his fingers deeper and deeper into her entrance. He sensed her huffs against his neck with every stroke he gave into her core, just like he felt her come around his fingers. Few moments afterwards, Ziva threw her head back in pleasure riding completely out her orgasm, before burying her face against Tony's neck once more.
"If this was just the preview…" Ziva managed to muffle against Tony's neck standing with difficulty back to her feet.
"Then you can imagine what is going to happen afterwards." Tony finished and kissed tenderly Ziva's head.
Ziva pulled away from Tony's grip and saw him lick the fingers he had stuck inside her. Her face was still flashed red from the intensity of the touches that her fiancé had given to her, and felt the remained energy drain from her body. In an attempt to support herself on the counter, she knocked her cup with the tea pouring all over it.
"Oh," Tony gripped her, as her knees bulked. She could still feel her inside world quake in pleasure from what Tony had done to her "You should-"
"I'm fine." Ziva breathed. "I have never been better." she added and shot her eyes up to meet his. He on the other hand, cupped her cheeks removing at the same time some locks of her hair which blocked her look. The content and warm look she always had after their love-making and that he always loved to see into the depth of her eyes. "What about you?" she questioned. "Will you not-?" she dropped her gaze on his solid rock groin.
"I will be fine." he reassured her and squeezed his dick over his pants. "You just have to regain your composure and go back to the bullpen before we will raise any suspicions."
"I'm ready. Are you sure you will be ok?" Ziva asked again.
Tony nodded grabbing a paper towel. "Yes I will. Just go." he wiped Ziva's juices from her folds and zipped her pants.
Ziva smiled on Tony's gesture and gave a peck on his lips before walking to the door. "I cannot wait for tonight." she whisper shouted at him with a smile on her face opening the door at the same time.
"So am I." he grinned at her, sinking the paper towel in the trash can like he was playing basketball. After checking to make sure that no one was in the hallway, Ziva gave him a last naughty smile before exiting the room. "Puff." Tony exhaled running his fingers through his hair when he saw Ziva close the door behind her. "Just relax now Mr. Big D." he said and rubbed with his palm the front of his pants. "Just relax."
They had spent 13 hours working however nothing came up. During his entire career Gibbs had never seen such a mess on a case, much more lack of leads. Even on previous cases, which had been filed cold they had leads and indications, while that one had only slugs from an unidentified AK-47, a note, an unidentified partial fingerprint, and a suspect who ended up dead. Plus a Project, a story so complicated and unreal that it looked more like a script of those conspiracy movies that Tony loved so much, than a case which was taking place in real life. The ex-Marine paid his attention to his Agents. All of them had worn out by the exhaustion, as they had checked almost the half on the participants of the Project. Only Tony and Ziva looked still energetic, but he knew sooner or later the tiredness would overtake them too. Gibbs took a pity of them and barked at them to go home. All his team members let a sigh of relief. None of them of them questioned their boss if he was certain for his decision, as they usually did. They just turned off their computers, gathered their personal stuff, wanting to leave the building as soon as possible. After saying 'Goodnight' to Gibbs, everyone made their way to the elevator, expect Ziva who headed for the stairwell. The upcoming day would be also difficult and the truth was Gibbs had started to be weary too. He was too old for that kind job, and maybe the permanent retirement he decided two days ago, wasn't a bad idea after all.
Ziva was leaning against her Mini checking her phone for a multiple time. For a strange reason Tony had been late more than 10 minutes that he usually needed to arrive at her house from the Navy Yard. She had started wondering if Tony had decided to go and sleep at McGee's alone, instead of their house with her. Only at the possibility that it was that the case, she thought she would go completely insane. Ziva glanced at her cell once more the time. It had passed only one minute since the last she had checked, yet it seemed to her like eternity. Not wanting to wait anymore she started to dial Tony's number, but she stopped and shoved her cell back on her pocket as she saw at the end of her block his car turning. Few moments later Tony parked his car in front of Ziva's and stepped out of it.
"Hey," Tony stood in front of her with a grin and played with some strands of her hair. "Sorry I'm late but I had a flat tir-"
Ziva placed her index finger silencing. Ziva grabbed him from his jacket collar and shoved him against her Mini. Then she kissed him passionate and cupped the front of his pants to rub his penis. The way she was devouring his mouth and her action on Tony's particular body part, indicated the lust, the need she had for him. After they broke the kiss, as the air had become necessary on them, Ziva took Tony's hand on hers and led them quickly toward the house. As soon as they entered on it both them dumped their backpacks and guns on the floor and started kissing passionate. 13 hours without being with another was a torture. The intimate moment they had on the break room wasn't enough for them, and the fact they were separate for a month made them more eager to make up for that time.
Tony broke the kiss and looked at Ziva's eyes. "I want you." he breathed.
Ziva smiled with a seductive way before grabbing him from the jacket collar and kissing him hard. "I want you more." she said back and jumped wrapping her legs around Tony's waist. Tony held her under her thighs and stepped up the stairs and into their room. He couldn't help but smile as Ziva was trying to loose his tie in the entire way. "Tony." she moaned after Tony threw her on the bed and placed himself on top of her.
"I love you." Tony murmured and started sucking her pulse point on her neck.
Ziva in a way managed to slide his jacket and started unbuttoning his dress-shirt. Tony smiled on the crook of her neck on how impatient she was. "Too much clothes." she commented sliding his dress shirt off with a devilishly smile and Tony couldn't help but grin back at her. "Time to get rid of them." she went on and started undoing his belt.
"Ziva." Tony yelped as the Israeli cupped his member over his boxers after she put his pants off.
"Thick and long." Ziva noted moving her hand on the hem of Tony's boxers.
Tony smirked. He always had been proud on how well endowed he was. All the women he had been to, had praised the particular physical anatomy, but hearing that compliment from Ziva couldn't but help blush from pride. He had never been so long and thick for a woman. He was bigger than ever and it was because of her. "Only for you." he whispered and took her earlobe between his teeth, biting it lightly as her skin came in touch with his solid rock dick.
Ziva removed Tony's boxers and grasped his member. "I have plans for us tonight." she cooed and started stroke him gently with her hand. "And big ones."
"Oh reall- oh God!" Tony yelled from pleasure as Ziva ran her fingernails along his member.
"Oh yes." Ziva assured and kissed him hard. Tony knew that she was going to drive him crazy and she would use any mean to do it. When the air was needed he broke the kiss and pulled away a little from her, so he could hold back. Ziva extended her hand and opened the first drawer of her nightstand and before he knew two pairs of handcuffs were in front of his eyes. "Cuff me Tony and fuck me until I cry!" she demanded.
Tony gulped. Things with Ziva weren't supposed to be like that. At least not now. He would not deny that he had fantasies with her, including handcuffing sex but now all of these seemed far away. Like he had admitted to her in the beginning of their relationship, he knew when the time would have come the fantasies would have given the place to tenderness and care. Tony studied carefully the items in front of him before returning his look on Ziva's eyes. "No." he murmured loud enough so Ziva could hear and got out from bed catching her completely off guard.
"No?" Ziva questioned completely surprised. She had the belief that Tony would be fascinated with idea of giving him the control completely. He had done it with Zoe and he could easily do with her too, but the way he reacted made her known that she was wrong. "No?" she repeated her previous question sitting up on the bed. "Why not? You- What are you doing Tony?" she wondered watching Tony slipping his boxers on.
"I'm getting dressed." Tony answered simply not looking at her and slipped his pants on. Ziva got out from the bed and stood in front of him.
"It is because I asked you to handcuff me, yes?" Ziva asked. It was rhetoric question. Of course this was the reason. Every time they had rough sexual intercourse it was because she was in charge. Tony had always been careful, gentle, slow with her. Only once he had taken her roughly, the day that Zoe was reassigned on Gibbs' Team.
Tony grabbed his dress-shirt from the floor and looked at her dumbfounded as his mouth opened and closed like a fish. She was right. It was something that he didn't want it with her. Those fantasies he had with her had turned on something more domestic letting the sexual back in the distant past.
"I call tell your look in your face is an answer by itself." Ziva told further with hurt.
Tony's heart ached watching that tears in her eyes weren't far behind. He hated it seeing her cry especially because him, but that didn't mean that he had to give in on her request. He couldn't do that. Not to her.
"But I'm not Zoe, am I? I'm not her so you would fuck her till you blow her brains out." Ziva snapped and went for the door.
"Ziva." Tony stopped her by grabbing her for the arm.
"Let go of me!" Ziva shouted and with a quick move she managed to free her arm from Tony's grip. "What does she have that I do not?" she growled.
Tony closed his eyes desperate. He didn't like that question. Zoe had asked that for Ziva one month ago and now the roles had reversed.
"Answer me, Tony!" Ziva demanded shouting. 'What does she have that I do not, so you could have bunny-fuck with her? Why can you not do the same with me?" she questioned with anger "Why? Why? Why?"
"She wasn't you!" Tony blurted out shouting and Ziva's eyes widened in shock. "Wait, that's not what I meant. That came entirely wrong." he immediately apologized lowering the tune on his voice. Zoe couldn't hold a candle to Ziva. No one woman could. He had told her that back then when Jeanne had reappeared. However, Tony knew this time Ziva had misinterpreted his words.
"No it did not. You meant that you had said Tony. " Ziva said with hurt "I'm not her."
"Ziva-" Tony attempted to explain further, but Ziva was intransigent.
"Tony, do not try to excuse yourself." Ziva cut him. "People do not just blurt out random things. I'm not her." she repeated he previous statement. "She not like me, a broken woman, a woman who was humiliated by 30 men who raped her on a terrorist camp."
"Ziva, it has nothing to do with Somalia believe me." Tony practically begged her to believe him. It was not because of Somalia, at least not the main reason, but it was the fact that he respected her as woman. All the women he had been with expect Wendy and Jeanne had been used by him as objects and trophies. And Ziva, especially Ziva didn't belong on those categories. On the contrary she was his future wife, the future mother of his children. She was his soul mate.
"You know that's the reason Tony and do not lie." Ziva shot back. "Remember what we promised to each other? No more lies, no more secrets? Why are you breaking your promise?" she went on asking while tears were welling in her eyes.
"Ziva I swear to God, it's not about-"
"Just leave it Tony." Ziva begged with a cracked voice. "Leave me alone."
"Ziva."
"Just go." Ziva requested with her voice sinking to a whisper and lay in the bed turning her back on him.
Tony sighed not believing what was happening. Obeying on Ziva's request he opened the door and went out of the room. He had just made Ziva cry because of him for once more and he would hate himself always for that.
It had been two hours since the incident between him and Ziva, and Tony didn't make any attempt to speak her again. He was sitting on the floor in front of his fishbowl drinking scotch and thinking what had happened. He didn't want Ziva to be upset with him but also he wouldn't treat her the way she wanted. Only at the thought of it he felt disgusted with himself. Tony stood up from the floor and placed the glass on the piano before running up the stairs and their bedroom. He was determined to make her understand why was so important to him to treat her the way he had. Tony opened the door and found Ziva at the same place and position he had left her. He knew very well that she wasn't sleeping and that she knew his presence in the room. Tony closed the door behind him and sat at the edge of the bed before he spoke.
"When I had first lay eyes on you, I fell in love with you immediately." he started softly and Ziva flew open her eyes the moment she heard Tony's voice. "But the truth is…the truth is that I wanted also to fuck you." he went on with honesty.
Ziva was listening with interest what Tony was saying but she didn't react at all. She wanted to see where Tony was going with all that. Why would he start this kind of confession and why now?
"The way you introduced yourself, the way you waved your hair when you took off your head scarf." Tony smiled a little remembering that day. "I just wanted to take you and fuck you right there senseless."
Ziva continued not to reacton Tony's confession waiting what he would say next.
"And then when Gibbs ordered me to tail you and I saw on the swimming pool with that bathing suit. God!" he exclaimed remembering her divine wet body. "I wanted to get into the pool with you, slam you up against the wall and fuck you without mercy."
Ziva smiled lightly because, truth be told she wouldn't have problem if Tony had made reality those thoughts. She would gladly have given in on him, on his touch, on his kiss, on his body, because damn, she wanted that as much as he did.
"And then you left." he said with a hint of disappointment. "You went back to Israel and I stayed alone. Me…and the fantasies I had with you."
Ziva stayed still, knowing that there was continuation, but she couldn't understand the meaning of all this.
"However, you came back, you became a member of the team and then we went undercover." he revealed. "I was fantasying jump your bones everywhere; on your desk, in the elevator, in the Charger even on the crime scenes. Not to mention how many times I had dreamt page 57 with you."
Ziva blushed upon hearing those things. She had the same fantasies with Tony, especially one where she was having sex on Gibbs' desk. She started having that fantasy few days after had become Liaison Officer on NCIS when by accident Tony pressed her against it.
"As for our undercover mission I had wished so many times everything would be real. Our kisses, our touches, the way you were looking at me."
'They were real.' Ziva thought. She loved him even back then, but the fear of rejection terrified her. He could have had every woman he wanted why would he choose her? They had to pass several months and Gibbs had to retire, so she could understand what she meant to Tony. How much he cared for her. And that terrified her even more.
"I was fantasying you Ziva." Tony went on. "I had come up with so many scenarios in mind, even handcuffing sex, however as the time was passing all of these had changed. WE HAD CHANGED." he emphasized "But the fact that I don't want to make these fantasies reality now, the fact that I want to be gentle with you when I'm touching you, when I make love to you, doesn't mean that I don't love you, that I don't want you. It doesn't mean that I think of you as less woman than Zoe is, because I don't want to…" he trailed off. He couldn't bring himself to think it, to say it, much more to do it.
Ziva felt a stab of guilt straight in her heart hearing that confession from Tony. She didn't expect that kind of result when she had come up with that the idea. She just wanted to show him that she loved him, that she could also offer him what other women had. She wanted to feel how was to give the control completely to the man that she had loved more than anything in that World. Ziva rolled over and looked at Tony with a frown of guilt on her face. "I just…" she hesitated. "I just wanted to give myself completely to you, to the man I love and he refused." she completed softly.
"You have already given yourself completely to me Ziva." Tony told her without hesitation, because simply he didn't need to think the answer to her at all. Ziva had already given herself to him but not with the way she meant it. Tony lay next to her before speaking again. "You have given me this." he went on and put his palm over Ziva's heart. "And that is more than enough for me."
"I have but-"
"Ziva." Tony cut in "Is this so important to you?" he asked "Do you really wanna do it that way?" Ziva nodded. She was determined to do it. She wasn't backing off. "Ok." Tony said and Ziva's face formed a slight smile. "We are going to do it, but on one condition."
"Anything." Ziva blurted out. She would have done anything to live that experience with Tony. He was the man she loved, the man she had completely trusted.
"Not so fast." Tony warned. "The condition is that all of this will happen with my way. You will not ask anything from me to do to you; you will not refuse anything from what I want to do to you. You will obey on my requests and orders without objections and you will not question my actions. Is that a deal?"
"It is a deal."
"Ok then, let's do it."
