It was the morning of Election day. Those closest to the Grant family had stayed at the Residence for an out of control semi grown up Slumber Party. Coop had flown home for Election so he too joined the festivities. While the rest of the brood were still fast asleep Coop, Bella and Liv were in the kitchen getting breakfast ready. Liv had to admit that after her tumultuous few weeks with Mellie Holden and the fallout that inevitably came with her Liv drew comfort in having Coop home. His loyalty to her was unfailing, unwavering and undoubted. He provided her a safe space that she was still trying to regain with Fitz. Though they were significantly better, they were still a work in progress but they were bound and determined to work together which catapulted them to leaps and bounds in their goal.

"So Karen is really going to spend her winter break with Mellie?" Bella asked carefully knowing by the tension she felt in her brother's presence when the topic was brought up, that it was a touchy one.

"It's what she wants and Kare is old enough to make her own decisions. She has good instincts and she's got to learn to trust them. She knows we love her and she knows she can come home anytime no questions asked. It's only for a couple of weeks. She'll be with us for the last week before school starts again."

"Where is Christmas this year?" Coop asked. They were all invited to Christmas but location was yet to be confirmed.

"Here. With Kare not around it would feel a little weird being at the ranch without her. This is also Lily's first Christmas. You will both be here right?"

"Absolutely."

"Uh yeah... it's my first Christmas not on assignment in a really long time. I am here for the duration." Bella replied excitedly.

"Great. Everyone here today is probably who'll be here for holiday festivities."

"Fun! I think we're just about done. I'll go wrangle the troops." Olivia watched in amusement as Bella practically bounced from enthusiasm.

"You gotta love that energy." Coop quipped affectionately.

"I'm glad you two have really hit it off. You'll be spending a whole lot of time together if tonight's election goes as we hope it will."

"It will. The question is, are you ready to be First Lady officially and in every possible way?" Olivia smiled and gave a small shrug.

"As ready as one can get under these circumstances. I love him. I believe in him. Everything else sort of falls under that. I knowingly signed up for that. It may be out of my comfort zone and these last few weeks have been more than challenging but it doesn't change the fact that I am all in."

Fitz who was about to enter the kitchen stopped at the door when he heard Coop ask her if she was ready to be First Lady. His heart warmed at her conviction and if it were even possible, his loved her even more. He had awoken at three that morning and found her half of the bed empty and found her sitting on their steps in the Rose Garden lost in her own thoughts.

"Hi Baby." She greeted as she looked up at him surprised. Olivia gave him a small smile as he went to sit behind her so that he could wrap his arms around her.

"Hi Sweetheart. Can't sleep?"

"Not really. Too excited I guess." Fitz dropped his lips to her temple.

"We'll be okay." He assured her.

"I know."

"You and our family are my first priority. Always! " He vowed. She cupped his cheek with her palm as she looked up at him leaning deeper into his embrace.

"I know that too."

"Karen asked if Mellie could join us at tonight while we wait for the results," Olivia sighed. She knew it was in the works.

"I told her no. That Mellie could hang with the rest of the supporters should she wish to, and Karen is welcome to join her there until the announcement but she's to come back and join the family when it's time." They had already spoken about it and preempted that Mellie would ask to be there during election night. For the exposure if nothing less. They had discussed the pros and cons. In the end Olivia had given her two cents and allowed him to make the final decision.

"How did she take it?"

"Well considering we signed off on her winter break with Mellie I think she knew to argue would be moot." Liv turned into his embrace and wrapped her arms around his waist, laying her head on his chest.

"How are you with Winter Break?"

"I hate that she won't be here but this was her decision. I have to respect that. She goes to college next year. This will probably be the first of many holidays that she will miss." Olivia gave him another meaningful squeeze.

"So tonight..."

"Yup tonight! I'm so glad you're with e Liv. Standing beside me. It means more to me this time around knowing I have you there with me."

"Me too. I love you Fitz. Win or not, you are enough. You have always been more than enough."

"I love you Liv. More than you can even begin to fathom."

Lily's happy chortle drew Liv and Coop out of their conversation. They both looked up and smiled to see father and daughter enter the kitchen.

"Morning Baby Girl. How's Uncle Coop's favorite Goddaughter?" He greeted enthusiastically lifting her from Fitz's arms.

"Morning to you too Coop. I slept really well. Thank you for asking." Fitz teased hugging his wife good morning while Coop grinned sheepish but unapologetic.

"Now you know what it's like whenever any of you are gone for more than an hour and she is walked into a room." Liv pointed out amused. Liliana Isobel Pope Grant had everyone wrapped around her chubby little finger.

Footage of the First Family and their extended family was released throughout Election day. They had released photos from the previous night's get together. Candid shots Bella had picked capturing the genuine relationships within their tight knit crew. There was a particular picture of Karen and Liv in mid laughter on the couch with their legs intertwined on top of the coffee table that captured the very essence of their relationship. Fitz had made a mental note to have it framed and added to the collection of photos in the Oval. There was a photo Fitz sitting on the arm chair, Liv on his lap, his arms wrapped around her while they watched Gerry and Karen try to make Lily laugh by making faces at her and at each other. A personal favorite of all was a candid photo of the five of them on the couch. Lily lying on Fitz's chest, Karen squished close between him and Liv while Gerry was sitting on the other side of Liv with his arm draped around her. They were getting ready for a proper photo and they were teasing Fitz mercilessly. Liv's head was thrown back in laughter, while Fitz failed in looking stern, both Karen and Gerry shared a conspiratory smile while Lily was yawning looking somewhat bored of her family's antics.

While Fitz, Liv and Gerry voted together Karen stayed close by with Lily in her arms. The two Grant daughters kept each other entertained. Karen sat in the corner and read to Lily while they waited for the voting and photo op to finish. When they got back to the campaign headquarters they all changed back into their jeans and Grant for President jerseys that Liv had made for them. The First Family including Lily had a white one with Dark Blue lettering. Number 12 for the election year and Grant above it was on the back. On the bottom left front of the Jersey had their name embroidered. Grant for President in the displayed prominently in the middle. It made for a cute photo with their matching jeans and White High Top Converse. It made them look playful, united and just like everyone else without looking too hokey. Olivia had jerseys made for the rest of their immediate family unit but reversed the colours. Blue jersey, white writing. Even Ella sported her jersey proudly. A photo of Ella and Lily wearing their outfits went viral after Bella tweeted it under Fitz's account with parental consents of course. Fitz and Olivia had made a conscious decision to limit Lily's exposure. They released photos of her but always in some sort of angle so that as she grew there would still be some form of anonymity. Everyone in their company honoured abd protected that.

It was around midnight when they were ready to call it and throughout the day Fitzgerald Grant had a substantial lead so even though they practiced cautious optimism, by early that evening Cyrus' nerves calmed and they were able to just celebrate with everyone who worked so hard. Fitz and Liv were hand in hand as they announced his second term. Grinning he pulled Liv into his arms and held her tightly murmuring words of love, gratefulness and assurance in her ear. Gerry and Karen jumped to their feet anf threw their arms around their parents. The four of them stayed in a group huddle for a for a moment somewhat solidifying what was already an unbreakable bond between them.

Enjoy the fluff...happy valentines day
