'They like me for me.'
Inuyasha had liked her, of course, but their bond was simply too complicated that they both had agreed that if they had gotten together, it would not have been a healthy relationship.
But even he admitted that he would always see just a little Kikyou in her.
Houjo had not shown an interest in her until after her so-called 'illnesses' and that had caused Kagome to believe that he possessed some sort of strange Florence Nightingale syndrome for her.
It didn't help that he aspired to be a doctor and his parents owned a small pharmacy.
And Kouga had only declared her as 'his woman' for her power and while he had grown fond of her after a bit of time together, her power was still the most important feature about her since he was a Youkai in the end.
Youkai always craved more power.
'Wait,' Kagome's eyes snapped open as she awakened from her meditation, 'If I didn't have any power, would Levi and Eren even give me a second look?'
Did they even like her as a person?
'Eren is a Titan Shifter like Leonhart,' The Priestess picked up the necklace, feeling that she had meditated enough that she could make the seal, even if her thoughts were beginning to fall apart, 'He might just be attracted to my Reiryouku and mistaking it for a romantic attraction.'
She could not say much for Levi, she knew that just having her around made his and his soldiers lives that much easier with her abilities.
'Stop thinking!' Kagome ordered herself, knowing if she did anymore that her Reiryouku would fall out of balance, 'I can think all about it after I finish with this necklace!'
It needed to be finished and finished quickly.

"Eren! Mikasa!"
The duo stopped as the familiar male voice eagerly called out to them, "Hey, Armin, what's up?" Eren asked, balancing the small tray of bread and water before the blond stopped in front of them.
"Eren! I haven't seen you since your transformation!" Armin looked at his form in clear concern, "Are you okay?"
"Don't worry, I'm fine," Eren grinned, earning a relieved sigh from Armin, "Do you know what's going on here?" He asked, gesturing to the other soldiers gathered.
"I can't tell you here," Armin lowered his voice some, "Someone could overhear us. Let's go somewhere more private."
"Sure," Eren nodded, looking over to his adopted sister, "You can stay here with Armin, Mikasa. I'll catch up with you two just as soon as I give this food to Kagome."
"Where is Miss Kagome?" Armin asked, a bit surprised that she wasn't with Eren and Mikasa to begin with.
"I'll tell you after," Eren answered and was on his way back to Kagome's room as soon as his friends nodded. He let out a sigh, thinking to what the Priestess had said before, 'It's really going to take a whole night?'
He really hoped that Kagome didn't strain her powers too much.
A few quiet voices in the nearly silent hall of where the isolated room was held caught his attention and Eren looked up, unconsciously stopping when he noticed that it was Oluo who was guarding the room.
And Levi was talking to him.
'What's that?' Eren thought, seeing the item wrapped in cloth balanced against Levi's shoulder and he furrowed his brows when he noticed the particular shape, 'Is that...?'
He felt a bit of unease when Levi entered the room after a nod from Oluo and he knew he could not let this chance to fly by him.
"Hey, kid," Oluo finally noticed him and gestured back to the closed door, "Might as well give the brat her food now while Captain Levi is in there. Don't want to interrupt her too much before the night is over."
"Uh, yeah," Eren said lowly, "I'll do that." He entered slowly when Oluo opened the door for him, swallowing thickly before a determined expression appeared on his face.
He would not lose.

"Hey, brat!"
Blue eyes snapped open and blinked at the man stepping into the room, "Levi?" Kagome was a bit surprised that she didn't even hear the sound of the door opening, "Is it too much for you to knock?" She sighed, but there was no irritation behind the words.
"I would not have bothered you in any other situation save an emergency," Levi moved forward and unwrapped the cloth from the blade, "But I assumed that you wanted this back as soon as possible."
Kagome blinked again, feeling an overwhelming amount of relief at the sight of the sword that was so precious to her, "You..." She swiftly stood up from the desk, "You found it!?"
"I gave you my word," Levi rolled his eyes and poked her roughly in the forehead when she was close enough, "Did you doubt me?" His brow twitched at the thought.
"I did and didn't," Kagome smiled sheepishly when he appeared decidedly annoyed at her, "I mean, what were the odds that you would find it so quickly?" She took the blade from him when he offered it to her and pressed it closely to her chest, "Still, I believed in your promise."
The Corporal stared at her for a moment before nodding, "I'll leave you to your–" He was taken back when he felt arms wrap around his shoulders and a slightly smaller form slam into his front.
"Thank you so much," Kagome whispered gratefully, ignoring the minor discomfort of her weapon that was now wedged between the two, "You have no idea how much this means to me."
Levi closed his eyes, but did not wrap his arms around her in return, "When I give you my word, don't doubt me." He simply stated and his eyes opened quickly when the sound of the door opening caught his attention.
Of course it was Jaeger.
Kagome immediately released Levi and flushed deeply, "Eren!" She looked away from his wide green eyes and nervously bit her lip, though she did notice the tray he was holding, "Thank you for bringing me food."
Eren frowned, shutting the door behind him, "I know now isn't the best time for this," He said firmly, glancing towards Levi and received a hard look in response, "But I think we need to talk. Just the three of us."
The Priestess ran one of her hands through her hair, "You're right about both of those things," She looked away, feeling the atmosphere grow tense, "The temporary seal on Leonhart should last until tomorrow night. A few minutes of talking shouldn't delay me too much. Ten minutes is probably all I can give you right now before I need to start blessing the necklace."
Levi and Eren watched as Kagome returned to the desk, still clutching the sword close to her, "But before you say anything," She glanced up at them and a wistfully bitter smile appeared on her face, "I think I should tell you a little about Inuyasha first."
She owed them that much at least.
