Jack felt calmer than she ever had before…just breathing the air on Kahje. It was peaceful and she was allowed to swim in their oceans in certain designated areas. It was so relaxing…
Until she felt a slimy tendril wrap around her waist
Shrieking, Jack whirled in the water, ready to blast her 'attacker' with a healthy dose of her biotic skill when the Hanar that had a hold of her went flying past up towards the surface, taking her with him. Jack screamed as she was thrown to the surface, landing hard on the swampy ground.
Scrambling, the biotic revolution crawled back to gaze into the water. The Hanar was there, seemingly fighting with another creature…and losing despite the mesmerizing show of speed and grace the creature showcased.
Gritting her teeth, Jack dives back into the water, holding her breath with practice she suffered through in her early years. Summoning strong biotic power, Jack goes spiraling towards the Hanar's attacker and quite easily rips his fleshy body to shreds.
The Hanar once again takes Jack to the surface and sets her down gently this time.
"You're welcome." Jack sighs and stretches out her back.
The Hanar floats there for a moment before reaching out a tentacle and putting it on Jack's neck. The biotic raises an eyebrow before feeling a small prick. Before she can get away the Hanar is taking away his tentacle and Jack notices all her muscles beginning to relax away years upon years of stress.
The Hanar begins sinking back in and Jack recalls Thane telling the Shepard Commander's squad once during dinner about the Hanar's toxins and how some were used solely for muscle relaxation or neural calming.
Smiling ever so slightly, Jack walked away from the water and through the marsh to rejoin with Shepard.
Okay, I'm not too happy with this chapter…but I'm running low on ideas…Help?
