"The things of the earth all have a spirit to them," Say'Ri mused, sliding a whetstone down her curved blade. "Trees, humans, the very air we breathe."
The concept opened up comical possibilities in Anna's head. "So, does that mean gold is alive, too?" It made sense to her, at least. Money was always being tossed around by people. Haggling, buying, selling, gambling... Money had many lives, and was constantly changing.
A faint smile tugged at the corners of the princess's lips. "I should believe so," she confirmed.
Anna only grinned cheerily. She brought out a shimmering coin and watched the sunlight glint off its surface.
Words of wisdom: Never, ever use someone else as a scratching post for your own unfulfilled yearnings. Write it down, sing it out, do what you gotta do, but the thing you recall about a scratching post is that while a cat leaves marks, the scratching post can't give anything back. It just takes the scratches and keeps being what it is.
Read that somewhere. Thought it was marvelous, and shared. Keep being you, guys~
Thanks!
