I know this is a quick update. I have a link on my profile page of Quinn's house and to the other sets created for this story from previous chapters.
QUINN POV
I opened my eyes as I felt something jab my back. I was thrown up in the air a bit and back down almost like I was going over a speed bump or pothole. No, not I; someone. I turned my head and saw Beth still passed out on the blanket. I reached for my head and rubbed it. I felt the van turning and then go straight. It turned again and again. After about four minutes it stopped. I went towards the door and sat still waiting. I saw the door open and Beth's leg was grabbed. I kicked the hand, quickly turned and threw myself at the person.
I fought with all my might. I hit and kicked the person as we struggled on the ground. I was about to punch him when I saw his face. "Russell," I stated. I was kicked off by him and he looked at me as I looked at him. He grabbed my arm and lifted me up.
"What the hell is the matter with you girl," he growled. He slapped me across the face and went towards Beth. I grabbed at him to pull him away.
"No! No! Beth! Beth! Run! Beth Wake Up! You need to Run!" I yelled as I fought against Russell. I was thrown against the van. I turned my head and grabbed Beth's foot shaking it. She stirred a bit. "Beth!" I gasped as my throat was grabbed. I tried to shake Beth to wake her up, but I couldn't. I reached for his hand trying to pry it off.
"You think I'm stupid enough to not give her the string stuff," Russell stated. He released me and then I heard a click. I looked up and saw he had a gun trained on Beth. "Let's play nice okay, be adults." He went forward and grabbed Beth throwing her over his shoulder. He put the gun against her back, closing the van door with his leg. He walked forward and motioned for me to follow. I did. "Back pocket take out the keys." I shakily reached into his back pocket and grabbed them. I handed them to him. Using the hand without the gun he quickly opened the front door.
He motioned for me to enter with his gun. I heard the door close behind me. It was dark and there wasn't much furniture as far as I could tell. I was pushed forward. I walked down a hall and I saw a door which he opened. I he pushed roughly inside.
"How did you get out?" I asked angrily. Instead of answering he pushed me again almost making me fall down the stairs. At the bottom there was a room, like a small living room. A couch, a couch seat, TV, small coffee table, some books, even a guitar case. There were two other doors.
"That one has the bathroom," he stated. He opened the other door, a room. It had a single bed, a sink, an empty bookshelf, blankets, and pillow. There was a humidifier on a stand. There were no windows, none at all. I saw blankets on the floor and a pillow. I was pushed inside and then Beth was laid on the floor. Not as gently as I'd like.
I moved in his way blocking him from the door. "Just let us leave. If not both, than just Beth, please. I won't tell anyone. Please, Russell, don't do this," I pleaded.
"I have too," he grabbed my arms and threw me aside. I fell on the floor and rushed to the door as it closed.
"Russell! Please! Please don't do this!" I yelled. I let myself sit next to the door and cry for a bit.
Going towards the bed, I just stared at it for a moment. I moved aside blankets before turning towards Beth. Slowly I lifted her up with all my strength and lay her on the bed. I put the blankets around her. I gently checked her head for any injuries. The truth is I won't know until she wakes up. I grabbed the pillow and blankets from the floor. I put the pillow behind me and wrapped the blanket around me. I kept my eye on the door.
PUCK POV
"Q!" I yelled as I knocked on her door. I looked around and then looked in her separate garage. Not home. She ignored my messages all day yesterday. I just assumed it was her not wanting me to disturb her time with Beth. Looking through the separate garage I saw her car wasn't in. I waited outside for another fifteen minutes before deciding to go to the store. Maybe, I'll run into her there or come back and she'll be here.
I drove to the closest grocery store. I parked and looked around. I sighed when I saw Quinn's car. I walked up to it and was about to lean against it when I saw a ticket on her window. A parking violation, for leaving the car over night. I walked inside the store. I walked towards a clerk.
"Hey," I said, the guy looked at me, "The Red Honda, how long has it been there?" I asked. The guy looked at me. "Dude, How long?" I yelled feeling something really bad in my gut.
"Since Friday night," the guy said. I walked out of the store and looked around. Walking around I stopped when I saw a bunch of dirt all over the cement. I looked around. I know that purse. I would recognize that black purse anywhere. I grabbed my phone and dialed a number I never thought I would.
"Yeah, I'd like to make a missing persons report or kidnapping. I don't know. My ex and our daughter is missing. I drove to the local grocery store and found her car, I just found her purse," I said. I gave them my information and stayed put. I
When the cops came I led them to Quinn's car and then to her purse. "Are you sure your daughter was with her?" He asked.
"Yeah, she was adopted by our friends mom, and our friends are raising her because my friends mom that adopted her died. Look I know it's confusing okay, but she was supposed to be with my ex this weekend," I stated. I gave them Beth's full name and then called Luca.
I continued speaking with the cops and then ended up waiting. They went into the store and asked to look at the security tapes.
"Noah!" I heard and turned as Rachel came towards me crying. "What happened? Where is she? Where are they?" I shook my head.
"We were supposed have brunch at her place," I said. A police officer came forward.
"We looked at the security footage. At seven forty five Ms. Fabray and Beth Drogin entered the store. They checked out at 8 and then Beth is at the red box, she is dragged away and then Ms. Fabray comes out and looks around. Our guess is she went down towards the left side, struggled with someone and was taken as well. The video showed Beth eating an apple, we found one, it's starting to go bad. We did take Ms. Fabray's bag into evidence. We also found this necklace," he said. He showed a picture of a necklace. It was Beth's, The one with the star and green emerald.
"That's Beth's," Luca said as he held Rachel. He nodded and another cop came forward.
"Do any of you recognize this man?" he asked. I looked at the picture. It was a bit blurry, but I knew we all recognized him.
"That's, Russell Fabray. Quinn's father," I stated.
