Ultear cuddled up to Zeref under a tree as the sun set. "Zeref, you're mine now. I won't hand you over to anyone. I'm going to make you king of this world. For the sake of the Grand Magic World."

With Elfman and Evergreen

Elfman had hoisted Evergreen over his shoulder and was running for both of their lives as Belcusas chased them. "Don't think he wants us to go." Evergreen stared. "Whatever you do, don't stop running." Seconds later, Elfman came to a screeching halt. "What did I just say!?" She then gasped at what the lack of movement meant. "No more cliff, huh?"

"What a killer view." Elfman mumbled.

"What were you thinking, running in a random direction!?"" Evergreen scolded.

"Enough of the complaining!" Elfman shouted back. "I'm done with you, go on your own from here?"

Evergreen kicked him in the ribs. "How dare you leave a crippled comrade to fend for herself!"

"Crippled my ass!" He shouted. A footstep caught their attention reminding them of Belcusas.

"Not good, we're cornered." Evergreen mumbled. "One wrong stomp and we'll be on the bottom in pieces. My magic is so low I don't know if I can make my wings."

Elfman gasped before turning to her. "Why didn't you say that sooner? I just had an idea. Maybe I should get some glasses."

"Glasses have nothing to due with my intellect." She retorted. "With or without them I'm one of the smartest-" Elfman grabbed onto her shoulders. "What's going on?"

"Time to fly out of here!" He shouted before tossing her into the air. Belcusas looked up and Elfman used the distraction to sneak around him. "I'm here, you ugly mug." He shouted. "Come on, Give it your best shot." With a roar, the monster swung its fist. "Take-Over Beast Soul!" He chanted before his body changed. Tanking the punch, Elfman smirked as the rock broke under them. "Dumbass."

Belcusas stumbled backwards as the rock crumbled and broke apart. Elfman barely hung on as Evergreen landed in front of him. "Nice work. We beat-"

Evergreen slammed her foot into his face. "The next time you have an idea, leave me out of it."

"Intense contact in the middle of battle, you lovers have no sense of shame." Rustyrose commented.

"Shut the hell up!" Both shouted at the same time.

"Imprssive, many have fallen to my beast in battle." Rustyrose confessed. "Surviving him is a feat worthy of song and dance. It was shocking to see you snatch a pitiful victory out of the jaw of defeat. No grace, no drama. My soul cries for action. Wizards like you, have no place in the grand magic world. We'll erase you and create a mage only world."

"Erase those without magic, and create a world for mages only?" Elfman asked as he climbed up. "Fuck that. Mages only make up ten percent of this world. The other ninety percent can't use any magic at all!"

"Thats right." Rustyrose nodded. "And that ninety percent won't be allowed to live in the Grand Magic World."

"You think we're gonna let you do something like that!?" Elfman asked.

"But are they really necessary?" The dark wizard asked back. "Humans who can't use magic are the same as candles that can't burn. They're useless."

"It's because people support each other that this world exist!" Elfman shouted back.

"People who support each other?" Rustyrose asked. "Are you talking about the guilds? That's your ego talking. All you people are really doing is devouring riches from the powerless."

"No! We need to support each other!" Elfman shouted as he stood up. "We mages give them power, and the commoners reward us. That accumulation of trust is what makes up this world and it's how guilds are born." He walked forward as Rustyrose snickered at him. "Don't laugh at my guild. Don't you disgrace us wizards who are struggling desperately to survive!"

"To be honest I can't understand you people." The dark wizard confessed. "You can't get near the abyss of magic, and you don't even know the true horror of Zeref. When you see Zeref's true power all you'll be able to do isn't cower in fear."

"Fairy Tail will never yield!" Elfman shouted as he raced forward. "We're giant candles who shine light into any kind of darkness!"

"Despite your name, the people of Fairy Tail really aren't the least bit elegant." Rustyrose said as his hand glowed. It turned into the five clawed thing from before and launched Elfman back. "Trash like you won't be necessary in the Grand Magic World either."

"I'm fine being trash!" Elfman shouted. "But I won't let you call my allies trash! As a man, I cannot forgive it!" Rustyrose pulled his arm back and thrusted it forward, only to find Elfman catch it. "Gotcha... The foundation of take over is knowing your opponent. Right, sis?"

He squeezed tighter as blood began to drip from his side. "This arm is mine now." He pulled his free arm back and it turned it not the claw.

"My jet black sword!?" Rustyrose asked in shock.

"Take this!" Elfman shouted as he slammed the claw forward.

"That which dwells in my left hand is a golden shield that pushes back everything!" The pompadoured man chanted as his other hand turned into a massive shield and blocked the claw. "How naive. Things aren't that simpl-" Elfman reached forward and pulled his glasses off.

"It was a diversion, ya dummy." He said before snapping them into pieces. "Ever!"

The brunette sat up and pulled off her glasses. "Only Laxus and the Thunder Legion are allowed to call me that, but I'll make an exception this time." Her eyes glowed as her Stone Eyes activated. "I'll petrify the mouth of those who insult the Fairy Tail so they can never open them again!"

The dark wizard flailed about as the spell reached him. "Gotcha." He smirked before whacking Elfman to the side. He then dashed forward and smacked Evergreen backwards.

'Why didn't my stone eyes work...' She thought in confusion.

"That was a most riveting play." Rustyrose said, pushing up his glasses.

"Glasses? But I..." Elfman mumbled.

"My magic is imagination." The dark wizard said as a pair appeared in his hand. "The arc of embodiment. I can materialize whatever I want."

"Th-that's ridiculous..." Evergreen mumbled.

"The embodiment of dreams is connected to the root of all magic!" Rustyrose bragged. "Of course there are several limits and conditions to this, but it is an invisible and undefeated magic! It has never been bested in my entire life!" He walked past the two and turned around. "Come to me, Tower of Dingir!" A massive tower burst out of the ground and trapped the two in it. "Crush these foolish fairies with all your sadness and send them back to the earth!"

"What is this!? I can't move!" Elfman shouted as he tried to free himself.

"Elfman..." Evergreen let out. "I'm sorry. If I was not your partner you could have become an S-Class wizard. And you might not have been defeated by this guy."

Elfman smirked as he turned to the girl. "You idiot. It's because you're here that I was able to come this far. Thank you, Ever..."

"Scatter to the depths of darkness?" Rustyrose snapped his finger and the tower exploded.

With Wendy

Wendy planted heavily as she pulled her arms back from above the master. "I've done all I can." She said. "He needs more attention than I can give him."

"What do we do now?" Happy asked, still clutching the scarf.

"We should head to the base camp." Carla said. "We need to regroup with the other at once." The others agreed before Wendy picked up Makarov and they began walking away.

Council Warships

"Hurry to aid the wounded!" Lahar shouted as the able bodied members helped the injured. "Repairs to the facilities can wait until later. We are going to charge the island. All those who are prepared for battle should-" Doranbolt teleported next to him, catching him off guard. "Doranbolt? What are those wounds from?"

"I'm fine. How's the ship?" The spy asked.

"Well, I can't call it fine..." The glasses wearing man chuckled. "But on the good side, no one has died."

"Is the communication lacrima alright?" Doranbolt asked.

"Yes, somehow." Lahar nodded. "Just what happened on the island?"

"Fariry Tail, Grimoire Heart and the Black Wizard Zeref." The scarred man explained. "A three-way war has begun on the island. The attack that hit the ship just now was from Grimoire Heart. I'm going to borrow the communication lacrima, we have to report this to hq."

"I can't belive it..." Lahar mumbled. "The three biggest problems in the magic world have all gathered in one spot? How rare of a coincidence could this be? Gran Dorma is a strength man who doesn't hesitate in dealing judgement. It's possible that the 'sealed ray of light' may be dropped once more."

"Etherion!?" Doranbolt snapped out as he turned around.

"We have no choice but to follow our superiors orders." Lahar mumbled.

"Wait!" The spy shouted. "It's true the council isn't exactly with Fairy Tail, but they shouldn't be compared to Zeref and Grimoire Heart!"

"It's not up to us to decide that." Lahar said. Doranbolt dropped his head as he began thinking about his time with Wendy. "Now, hurry up and contact hq."

With Lucy and Co.

The four Fairy Tail members stared up at the goat man in shock as he finished explaining the plan. "The Grand Magic World..." Loke mumbled.

"You're going to erase all the humans who can't use magic?" Cana asked in shock.

"That doesn't make any sense!" Lucy shouted. "No one will benefit from that! It would be a horrible world!"

"It's true that I haven't also arrived at the true motives of Master Hades' thoughts... but I can imagine that only one who know the abyss of sorcery can understand. Zeref is on this island. When we get him on our hands, the world will be enveloped with magic and reborn."

"That's ridiculous!" Gray shouted as he held his hands in the maker position. "You need to have a better reason than that for barging in on someone else's turf like this!"

"We have two missions... the first is to obtain Zeref and hand him over to master Hades." Caprico said, dropping into a fighting stance. "The second is to destroy Fairy Tail."

"Wait." Loke interrupted, getting between him and the goat. "I'll take care of this guy. Since he's a mamber of the Seven Kin of Purgatory, that means there are six more guys like him. You go look for the others."

"What are you talking about?" Gray asked. "All four of us couldn't even take him together!"

"That's because of his magic." The Lion spirit explained. "He uses an ancient type of magic called Human Enslavement Magic."

"Human Enslavement?" Cana asked.

"It's magic that can temporarily weaken humans' battle and magic power. They call it Rulers Magic." The spirit explained as his bodied glowed and he donned his spirit clothing. "But as a spirit, his magic doesn't work on me. And you've probably already realized, but he's a spirit too. Capricorn, the Goat."

"What!?" Gray asked.

"A spirit!?" Cana shouted in shock.

Lucy's stomach turned at the thought of two spirits fighting each other. "Please don't say anything." Leo said to the blonde. "I'm requesting a one-on-one battle between spirits, Capricorn."

"I see... for a moment I thought you forgot you were a spirit yourself, Leo." Caprico replied, accepting the challenge.

"Get going, guys." Loke told the humans.

Lucy tried to speak up, but Gray grabbed her and led her away. "It's hard, but we have to listen to him. We can't fight against him with our magic lowered like this. Let's leave this to him!"

"I can't let these two fight!" Lucy protested.

"Just hurry up and go!" Loke shouted, scaring the blonde.

"It's not often he yells at someone." Cana pointed out.

"He must have some kind of big reason, just trust him Lucy." Gray said. "You belive in him, don't you?"

The blonde started running alongside the other two before turning around. "Loke! You'd better come back to me! No matter what!" The spirit nodded and the girl turned back to running.

Caprico glanced up at the blonde. "Regulus, give me power!" Leo chanted before punching the goat in the face, sending him flying backwards. He then charged the other spirit only to eat a knee from the goat. "How many years had it been since you disappeared from the spirit world?"

"Seventeen years." The goatman answered.

Loke tried to kick his legs out and the goat man flipped back. "To think you could take that long and then manifest in the human world... who is your master?"

"I have no master." Caprico replied. "I am myself who uses humans!" He waved his hand and line of runes appeared. "Open! Hero of Rubengard! San Jao Shin!" Loke looked up and a man holding a glaive charged him.

"What was that?" Loke asked as he clutched his wound.

"The young general San Jao Shin, who led the anti-government forces to victory in the Rubengard civil war in x779." Caprico explained as the human disappeared. "According to public documents, he went mia. But the truth is that he became my subordinate."

"You kidnapped and can summon a human!?" Loke asked in shock.

"Next, allow me to ask you about your master." Caprico spoke up

"Why?" Leo asked standing up.

"So I can make her my subordinate of course." The goat man chuckled. "I already have a hunch, but that blonde woman I let go just now... You wanted to fight one-on-one with me? No, you just use that as an excuse to let her get away. What an unpleasant duty being a sport is."

Lucy's words rung through the goatmans head again and he gasped. "It can't be... that woman..."

'He noticed!?" Loke asked himself.

"That's why you sent her away from me!" Caprico shouted. "That woman is Lalya Heartfillia's daughter! I shall not let her get away in one piece! Where is that woman!?"

With Juvia and Erza

"Juvia Lockser, a former member of Phantom Lord." The pink haired girl mumbled off. "Erza Scarlet, know to the world as 'Titania'."

"You seem to know much about us. Now just who are you?" Erza asked.

"Answers are not important. Beginning combat operations." Meredy replied as she started glowing pink in magic power.

"Get ready, Juvia." Erza said as she held up her sword.

"Of course." The bluenette nodded, before thinking about Gray. The red head snapped her back to reality as the opponent held her hand high.

"Maguilty Sodom!" Meredy chanted as magic blades appeared around her. "Go." She pushed her hand forward and the blades flew toward the older women. Juvia went into her water body, but the blades still hit her. "My blades target the enemies pain receptors. They are blades of sensation."

"Now I see... you're one of the Seven Kin of Purgatory, aren't you?" Erza s asked.

"I was not sent to answer questions." Meredy replied. "Eliminate the enemy, that is my mission."

With Loke

The two spirits burst out of the cave they were in and stood atop of it. "Open, Hunter of Belparaso! Samagui!" Caprico chanted before summoning a human with a bow and arrow. "Go and destroy Layla's daughter!"

"Samagui of Belparaso?" Loke asked in shock. "They write children's about this guy!" The hunter took aim and fired, but Loke broke

the arrow. He then punched at the hunter, who jumped and fired again. Loke broke them again before two more curved right passed him. "A curved shot? That's impossible."

"And that is why I decided to enslave him." Caprico bragged. "No doubt those arrows will hit their target."

"Not if I can help it!" Loke shouted before punching a stone pillar, making rocks break the arrows. "He might know a few tricks, but he doesn't have anything on Sagittarius."

"Go and kill the girl at once!" Caprico shouted and the hunter raced forward only to get smacked aside by Loke. "Out of the way!" Caprico summoned more of his slaves and they charged Loke, but only served as fodder to the light of Regulus.

"According to Crux, Layla made a pact with you twenty years ago." Loke spoke up. "Now I don't know what kind of deal you made in the human world, but that mean your current master should be Layla's daughter, Lucy." Caprico merely glared at the Lion spirit. "Although it seems like she doesn't even know herself. Just what happened Capricorn?"

"...Taboo..." The goat spirit mumbled, confusing the Lion. "Every magic has its own set of rules that must never be done. I broke one of those taboos. And as a result, I got this! This body! I'm a goat, hilarious, huh?"

"What are you talking about?" Leo asked.

"You know, I've really started to miss my human form lately." Caprico said. "This is perfect timing." He held up his hands and a black mist shot off it. "Human Enslavement Magic: Huma-Raise!"

"I'm a spirt, remember?" Loke asked. "That magic won't work on me."

"Yes... that itself is the taboo." Caprico confessed. "I cannot use this magic in anyone other than humans, all who do will fuse with their target."

The Lion spirit went wide eyed at the explanation. "Don't tell me... you mean you're actually a human who fused with Capricorn?"

"Yes and now I'm going to take your body, Leo!" The human said as he flashed through Leo's eyes.

"You bastard!" Leo charged forward and delivered a punch to Caprico.

"Looks like you were a bit to late." The human said. Caprico fell backwards as Loke clutched his ribs with an evil smirk.

"Oh, yeah. The wound that I, er, he made on me." Loke said. "But now I finally have a human body." He glanced over to the goat spirits body on the ground. "Thanks for everything, goat body. After taking a hit from Leo, I doubt you can move though. My name is Leo. My master is Lucy.

"And by killing her, I will become a complete human. That's it... Lucy trusts this body, so maybe I can trick her. Or maybe it'd be a better idea to make her a slave and play around with her a little... she's beautiful just like her mother." He gasped in pain before looking over his shoulder to find Capricorn standing, a beam of light coming out of him. "What the?"

"Regulus is fully charged it seems, Zoldeo." Caprico said.

"That name!" A blast of darkness shot into the sky before a man popped out of it.

"Capricorn..." Leo groaned out in pain.

"Sorry to use such a vulgar method." The goat apologized.

"No, it's fine... it would have been impossible to separate from him otherwise." Leo added as the man fell to the ground.

"Why... why can you move, Capricorn?" Zoldeo asked.

"Just before you fused with Leo, I received the Regulus from him." The goat spirit explained.

"You mean he transferred his magic with that?" Zoldeo asked, making Loke smirk. "Who cares. Now Im finally in my original body." His body started disappearing and begged for help, but revived none.

"It happened twenty years ago." Capricorn spoke up. "Lady Layla became fatigued and retired from her wizard life. When that happened, myself, Aquarius and Cancer, their spirits she possessed were passed on to three new users. One of them was Zoldeo, he took my key. However, I made another pact with miss Layla. I promised that I would watch over her descendants if they wished to follow the path magic."

"So that's why you belonged to Lucy." Loke mumbled.

"At first, Zoldeo agreed to this, but he gradually became swallowed by the darkness." Capricorn said.

"So? How did Lucy look to you?" Loke asked.

"She is truly Layla's daughter." Capricorn? spoke up. "I can tell she both loves and is loved by her spirits."

"Then you'll lend her your power, Capricorn?" The Lion spirit asked.

"No." He responded bluntly. "I cannot give my power to Lucy at the point, for it already belongs to her. I can finally return to my original master."

With Lucy and Co.

The blonde girls key ring started glowing as she came to a stop. "He won! Loke won!" She cheered.

"I knew he would." Cana said.

"He's going to tell me the details later, but Capricorn's going to join us too!" She added. "He's going to recoverer his strength so he said he'll go back to the spirit as my spirit."

"So he was in the human world out of his own power until now." The brunette mumbled.

"Wait a minute, then what happened to my partner?" Gray asked in anger.

"He said to tell you sorry, Gray." Lucy said for her spirit.

"Sorry my ass!" Gray shouted. "I can't give up on this S-Class trial just yet."

Cana looked down and clutched her arm. 'S-Class...' Her face turned serious as she turned back to the other two. "Hey, how about we split up and look for the Seven Kin?"

"No way, I don't want to be alone." Lucy replied.

"It's alright. I'll protect you, Lucy." The brunette said as she hugged her partner.

"How about splitting into two groups, then?" Gray asked, not really seeing a point in arguing.

"What, you mean you don't want to hear our girl talk?" Cana asked, squeezing the blondes boobs.

"Is that what you really think?!" Gray shouted back. "I don't think dividing our power would be the best here."

"I want to eliminate the enemy as quickly as possible, so we can continue with the trial." Cana said, letting go of the blonde. "That's why we need to split up, or are you scared to go alone, Gray?"

"Fine, then let's split up for the time being." Gray said, turning around.

"Be careful, Gray." Lucy said before she and Cana went the other way.

"You too." He replied.

Fairy Tail Base Camp

The camp was little more than a crater as Levy stood over the bandaged Mirajane and Gajeel. "Both of them are breathing... they're alright. Gajeel barely won, Mirajane lost, and Lisanna isn't here... we're in trouble..."

"It's no one's fault." The bluenette turned around to see Elfman carry Evergreen out of the forest. "They're strong... It's hurts, but they're too strong. We can't do anything!... As a man, it's pathetic I couldn't sister or my partner..."

Levy hung her head before she stood up. "We need to unite." She declared. "The trial split us apart. It was temporary but everyone prioritized themselves over their friends. But we can't stay like that now. The enemy is strong, so Fairy Tail needs to work together and win!"

With Lucy and Cana

"Mavis' grave?" Lucy asked as the two walked along the forest.

"Yeah, didn't you say you knew where it was?" Cana asked. "A lot happened so I only heard that much, but its stuck in my mind."

"Mmm... yeah... I only half-know, though." The blonde confessed. "First of all, grave made me imagine diffrent things. 'Death', 'sleep', 'dirt', 'rock', 'star', and 'end'. But none of them are six letters."

"Wait, why does it have to be six letters?" Cana asked.

"The time limit." Lucy replied. "We have to find it within six hours. It may seem a bit forced, but I did find one word that fits both six and grave. Demise. That comes from grave and is six letters. It's still a hunch, but I think the clue is in the letters. The only letter that appears twice is the letter is the letter 'E'. Isn't that suspicious?"

"E..." Cana mumbled.

"Remember how our first paths were lined up by letters?" Lucy asked. "There was an E path..." She fell over asleep as Cana held a glowing card.

"Thanks, Lucy." The brunette then dragged the blonde into a nearby bush and placed her down. "And sorry." She ran off into the woods, leaving the blonde to sleep.

E3 has gotten my creative juices flowing. By that I mean I'm starting a new crossover story of one of the games highlighted there, but I've got two versions of it. So I would like you guys to vote on my profile on which you wanna see first.

Does no one else wish that Caprico said that Layla was a cruel keeper and this was all for revenge? Definitely would have added some more character to Lucy's mother instead of making her just a beacon of purity. Well, see you next chapter.
