For the next two weeks, Sora couldn't sleep.
She was restless at work, restless at pole practice, and at home. She couldn't even give Leon her full attention.
"What if I don't win?"
"You shouldn't worry so much," he murmured, lightly kissing her. "You gave them a great portfolio."
She kissed back a little but then stopped.
"But I'm competing against people who have done this since they could make a face at a camera! How can I even compete with that? I'm not even an amateur at this kind of stuff!"
He dropped his forehead on hers. "Yes, you are. No," he nudged her nose, "there's nothing below amateur, making you an amateur for a contest seeking to help amateurs." He moved over to her neck and started kissing it. "You're fine."
He was gently pulling her sleeve off her shoulder when she suddenly sat up on the bed.
"When exactly do the results come out?"
He let himself fall onto the mattress. Here he was, seducing her with sultry music, softly scented candles all around the bedroom, shirt wide open and hair messy, yet she was still thinking about the contest. He sighed to himself. Ever since that first morning he found her working out in his living room he should have known that it was just the beginning of her nervousness.
"Three to five weeks after the contest due date," he tonelessly repeated.
She pursed her lips. "That's not very accurate."
"It's the only information they give regarding the results."
She sighed. Then, he saw her nose twitch a little.
"I think you left something burning in the kitchen."
He grabbed a pillow and covered his face with it.
