Lord Joyde: Heylo, Everyone! How are you all doing?

Me? Well, I've had yet another shitty as fuck week which ensured that my bad mood stays near permanent.

I've had a tooth taken out, the last one on the left side of your mouth, a seventh I believe they are called in English?

Basically, it was a huge 4 cm tooth. This means I was literally bleeding for around 3-5 hours alongside having to spit out blood and bile every two seconds.

Needless to say, this sucked, a lot. This, combined with the fact that I spent the last two weeks in a hospital bed, is the reason why I'm so pissed off recently. Wouldn't you be pissed too?

Anyway, enough of my pointless rambling, lets get on with the story!

This is chapter 51 of The Heart Of Blaze, hope you enjoy and lets begin! Oh and guys, the time line in the next few chapters is going to be confusing as fuck so do ask me if you need any help understanding!

Minutes later... – The Void Of Existence – Zeus's Point Of View...

I watched Henrietta leave with a face full of hope, an imaginary portal transferring her soul back into the real world.

Just as the portal disappears, I hear footsteps behind me and grin.

"All that buildup and, in the end, you didn't really tell her what exactly is going to happen once she does as you told her to." The smirking, sarcastic voice of Sasha emanates throughout the void-space.

I smirk."To be fair, she did just pull off that.. not-so-perfect bit of manipulation, so I believe she does deserve to be pulled by the ears a bit."

She nods as she places the new and improved Derflinger, upon my table. I sit down onto a chair and she does as well.

Suddenly, Derf leaves his sheath and mutters out angrily."Y'know, I get that your a big shot and all, but ya could have warned me about exactly where you were going to send me when Agnes gave me to you..."

I quirk an eyebrow at him."What? You don't like the improvements?"

He shakes."Oh, I do. Its just that, if I knew that I was gonna be reforged by a bunch of overly-touchy-feel scientist.. I might have decided to say no."

I laugh. What he means is that when Agnes was transformed into an evolved, Louise left in a hurry and didn't take Derf with her. Sad that he was forgotten so easily, he whimpered all day, so I decided to send him to Euphoria for... improvements.

What I didn't tell him, is that improvements means being throughout experimented on by lively and eager scientists, Pariah included, and then reforged stronger than ever before.

He now looks like a Dragon Katana from earth, sporting an intricately detailed gold serpent dragon handle, a long white pure silver blade, diamond blade collar, laser refined dragon guard and a black lacquer finished scabbard with gold cast metal fittings in the form of serpents.

The blade is formed out of Plasma-Whetted titanium with an inner core of Nexus and Evolution threads, with an outside finish of hardened life-fibers.

The guys over at Euphoria really outdid themselves... Maybe they went a tad bit over the top too, but hey, who gives a shit?

Needless to say, a blade like that, when wielded by someone like Sasha, is a tool of war not that far away from a Nuclear Warhead.

Ah, it seems I've went on a mind trip, as Louise says often. Thankfully, mine are fairly quick.

Sasha lets out a giggle."Oh shush you, Pariah and the rest did a wonderful job. With your new form and my power, those so called legions wont be legions for long."

"Got that right." He says smugly.

Sasha laughs and starts checking out her new armor. Much like Derf, it is an amalgamation of blue and gold, silvery titanium but instead of life fibers, she had placed several enchantments of her own design onto the armor.

Then she looks at me with glee."That said, when they gave me Derf and this armor, they said you were the one to design them, is that true?"

I nodded and she squealed."Well aren't you a gentleman? I can see why Karin is so in love with you."

"Hmm? What's that granny, you want me to share?" Karin unexpectedly appears out of a portal and says, making Sasha adopt a dark shade of red upon her normally pale face.

I smirk and before Sasha can reply, I say."Oh? So does that mean you wouldn't mind if I had more than one lover, Karin?"

She stumbled, recovered and let out a surprising reply."Eh, to tell the truth, I think its only a matter of time before you unintentionally make another woman fall for you. And besides, we both know that I can't fully satisfy you."

I blink and all three of us burst laughing. Sasha recovers from her stupor and says."I'm not sure that fully satisfying him is a good thing, Karin. His energy does kinda ensure that the minds of those who are infected by BlackLight stay connected. If that connection was to suddenly break 'cause we fucked him into unconsciousness, well that would be a shitty way to go, wouldn't it?"

With another giggle, she turns towards me."That said, you sure can last a while, right?"

"Ah, that's for me to know and for you to find out." I say with a wink and the three of us burst out laughing again.

Good times, indeed!

Suddenly, a burst of magical energy appears and forms into another portal to the real world.

Nodding, Sasha pick up Derflinger and walks to the portal, waving a hand behind her.

"Have fun!" Karin tells her with a beaming smile.

"Oh, don't you worry... I will." Sasha replies whilst walking into the portal, blood lust already leaking from her voice, but not before stopping to grab herself a goblet of essence wine.

Before the shapers joined the battle... – War camp – Avelyne's point of view...

I shake my sore arms as the monstrous orc dragging me via iron chains stops to watch the slaughter happening before us.

"The mistress has charged into the fray like a tornado of fire... too bad we can't do the same." I hear a necromancer girl say with a sad sigh.

"Wit de powar of Lord Zeus, every 'ne can rech dat level of powar. 'ts only a matter of tim." A brutish, over-sized orc berserker managed to mutter out somewhat comprehensibly.

The woman nods."Indeed. It is only a matter of time."

These arrogant people never cease to amaze me. For a whole month I have been held captive for no other reason but to shame me... Today is the day I finally escape. I just hope that an opportunity will present itself soon.

Just as I finish those thoughts, a human mage appears on a perch nearby and calls everyone to attention.

All of their heads turn around and I, wasting no more time, break my chains in half and slip into The Wraith world.

Hearing angry yelling behind me, I force as much power I can into my legs and run.

After Louise fell... – War camp – Histril's point of view...

I'm shaking.

These void-addled bastards actually did what I thought to be impossible. They have defeated my lady.

But the shapers have prepared themselves for this. We are always prepared. Mentally cold, physically strong and spiritually furious. Those are the three defining factors anyone of the shapers has to possess.

These are the things she has taught us. These are the things we hold onto.

And the things which will ensure our victory regardless of her defeat. We will save her in time, but now there is a battle to be fought and enemies to be slaughtered.

Suddenly, I feel a hand on my shoulder and turn around to see Eleonore looking at me with a grin.

"Here's to hope you wont be spacing out like that in the middle of battle, Histie." She says with a chuckle and I return her grin.

"Well if by spacing out you mean entering a bloody haze babe, then yes I will. Anyways, is it time?" She blushes a little and smiles at me before steeling herself while trying to hide her own growing blood lust... not exactly all that well.

She has changed so much in the last month, having adopted a curious lust for battle much like her mother and younger sister. Alongside that blood-lust, she also gained a crush on me.. not that I'm complaining, mind you. To steal a note from Istvan's book, this is quite fitting for the "Oh the wonders of Lord Zeus" sentence.

"Yes, the report just came in. The second, third and fourth legions are all in position." She says and my face is twisted in a sadistic image.

"Goooood... Then there is no more need to troll around. Tell the mages to fire the signal flare, its time for war." I say and she nods, a grim portrait of anticipation etching itself upon her features.

I turn around again to scan the battlefield one last time and spot the aforementioned legions surrounding the enemy.

The current plan is to tear through the battlefield and enter the city, where we can better defend said city and ensure that Lord Zeus's newly forged plan comes to reality.

The first legion which faces the eastern front of the battlefield and is meant to tear a path to the main gate, is currently under my command but usually we are lead by The Lady Phoenix. We are the shapers who follow her example and adopt her fighting style. We are her Avatars, her elite guard. We are The Blaze Weavers. Every ability we possess is in one way or another connected to fire, much like Louise's own.

The second legion, which is meant to charge the western side of the battlefield and form a defensive line in the city's military district, is commanded by Guiche. They are elementalists, using any and all elements alongside several weapons of war, such as the rail tanks, to achieve victory. Once they break through the enemy lines, they will mount those weapons on the towers of the city's walls. They have the most actual people within their ranks.

The third legion, which is commanded by the old man, aka. Istvan, is made up of necromancers, arcanists and shadow-casters. They use skeletal like monstrosities made out of animated metal as front line troops to soak up damage as the control the battlefield well out of the enemies reach. They have the least amount of people, as around eighty percent of the third legion is made up of the before mentioned Valkyrie-like beings. Their objective is to capture the outpost on the northern side of the battlefield which they will then use to safely form portals to Olympus, allowing us access to near-infinite reinforcements and supplies.

The final and fourth legion is commanded by none other than Eleonore. Her legion is alike Istvan's, having only a select number of actual people within its ranks. The only real difference is that their ground troops are actually living beings. Made out of biomass shaped by BlackLight and modified via magic, these monstrosities are overly-specialized weapons of war... or should I say bio-weapons? Either way, her ranks are filled up with the alchemists and scientists of the Shaper Organization. They use scientific knowledge to amplify their magical power, more often than not leading enemies into traps they can scarcely comprehend, like leading a fire mage into anti-oxygen zone and laughing at him while he tries to understand why his fire won't burn.

A sudden blast shakes me from my thoughts as a bright light envelops the skies. The signal flare has been sent.

I grin again, my new spirit scythe-blades shake with fury, ready to devour...

…. countless lives.

Around that same time – Back with Henrietta... – Henrietta's point of view...

I stand up, a spiritual flame burning in my heart as I turn around just in time to see Agnes tear through the doors.

She immediately runs to me with a worried look."My lady! Are you alright?"

I shake my head."Better than I was a moment before." I say, somewhat making her and the others confused.

"I take it Lord Zeus gave you some advice, your highness?" Zail asks me with a hopeful smile.

I nod at him."Yes. I will need you to come with me, for the plan needs us to summon forth a champion of Zeus."

"Huh? But why wou-GAH!" He stops mid sentence and grasps his pained forehead.

Then he reopens his eyes, a massive grin etching itself upon his face."Ooooh, I get it. Do you know who or what were summoning?"

I shake my head and turn towards Torres."I hope you don't mind staying here for the duration of the battle, my friend."

"Not at all. In face, I would really like to help you. Its not much but I brought a noble family here alongside my son as guards... and they decided to bring with them a small squadron of soldiers."

He says and I nod."You brought the Zerbrst family, I presume?" He returns with another nod.

"Good. But this battle is a personal matter of Tristain and it would cause a political shit storm when you go back if you decide to directly influence the battle so I advise you aid my guardsmen in bringing the civilians within the royal palace." I tell them and Arnold scoffs.

"Why would we waste space on those peasants? Lets just make sure everyone actually important is safe first." He says and I turn towards him with a furious gaze from which he takes a step back.

I take a breath."See Arnolf, that's exactly why you aren't a king. You are too focused on the minority and besides, ever since Romalia murdered most of my nobility, I don't think you would be able to save anyone. Now please let my men escort you to a safe room where you will be constrained till the end of the battle. I will not have you cause an incident in the middle of a war."

"W-w-what?! How dare you, woman?! I may only be a prince but I dema-UGH!" He couldn't finish his sentence as his father slammed him right into the balls with his walking stick.

"Be quiet you insolent sob, can't you see Henrietta is doing everything she can to make sure we all live through this!? Now shut up and watch. Maybe you will learn something." Torres says with an angered eye as my soldiers drag his crotch-clutching son away.

I turn my sight to Lady Rawen."Lady Rawen, I know that I have told you how I would accept your people into Tristain but I am afraid that, not counting those who belong to the shapers, there is still some racism towards the elves. I have a plan to remedy this and I will need your help for it."

She staggers."W-w-what would you have me do, my lady?"

I say nothing and focus myself, taking control over my blood and making patches of it explode to the surface of my skin as If I have been bleeding for a long time, making all those in the room give out a startled yelp.

I open my eyes to see the horrified little Rawen, looking at me with her mouth wide in disbelief.

"There was an assassination attempt on my life and I got hurt. Louise and Wales thought I was dead which is why they charged right at the enemy besieging us. Now, I have to painfully make my way to the town square, bleeding all the while, so that I can make sure everyone else gets to safety..." I trail off.

"... And I will be the person helping you walk to there, right?" She asks, still a little horrified.

"Exactly." I say and turn towards Zail and Agnes.

"You two, tell me how many soldiers I have at my disposal right now." My queen tone, as mother started to call it, comes to full effect as the two in question offer me their complete attention.

Agnes starts."There are twenty six squadrons of soldiers currently residing in the city. Also, most of my Templar's are stationed here, around thirty three."

Zail blinks, as if in thought."As far as I remember, there should be around fifty shapers acting as covert ops within the city. I can easily hail them and get you a fair amount of war-ready soldiers within a minute."

"A single squadron each possesses twelve men, which means three hundred and twenty normal soldiers alongside eighty three elites..." I say in thought and then forge a plan via The Regis Accumulation.

Taking in a breath, I start issuing commands. "Agnes, I want your Templar's to spread out equally alongside the Palace walls, I need you and your men taking out any flying units. Once you position your men, I want you on the streets to help me command the troops."

"As you wish, your highness." She says and runs of to do as she was told.

"Zail, I want you to gather as many shapers as you can and carve your way to The Town Square. We need complete control of the area because we require a fountain to do the ritual. I will come with reinforcements as soon as I am finished here." I say and he nods.

"Your will be done." He offers me a salute before running off.

Then I turn towards Torres."Torres, once I leave, you may control the troops as you wish. I am entrusting you with the lives of my people, can you do this?"

He harrumphs."I may be old, but I'm still a Germanian. You can count on me, young one."

I nod at him and turn to Rawen."Do you have any extra troops willing to fight?"

She nods."Yes. I have brought twenty eight of my own Lion Knights with me, what should I order them to do, your majesty?"

I close my eyes for a second as I calculate."I want eight of your best and yourself to be part of the reinforcements for Zail. I will bring my royal guard with me and three squadrons after I'm done here."

Another nod and she runs off. As soon as she leaves, two young women enter the room. The red-headed one screams out, worriedly."My king! Are you alright?!"

The old man smiles at her antics."Yes, I am fine dear, but that's not important because right now, we need to act, Lady Zerbrst."

The teal haired one approaches the king and casts a scan spell then turns towards Lady Zerbrst whilst nodding."Fine."

Hmmm, I feel like I've seen here somewhere before. Just as I think this, a great many images flash before my eyes... This girl.. she's a Galian Princess.

The Lady Zerbrst lets out a breath and refocuses herself."Anyways, you said we had orders, your majesty?"

"Yes Kirche, we do. I need your help organizing the troops." He says and she nods, following behind her king and the teal girl starts to follow but I stop her.

"You, with the teal hair, stay here. We need to tal-" I couldn't finish my sentence because Agnes barged in once again.

"Your highness! I've done as you asked and the people are being evacuated to the Palace. What are your orders?" She asks with a yell and I sigh.

I take a hard look at the teal girl, Tabitha I think Louise said her name was."Never mind. Go, well talk later.. if we survive this." She nods and runs after Lady Kirche.

I turn to Agnes and Rawen."Agnes, Rawen, we've wasted enough time here. Help me to the streets, we must make our way to the Square!"

"Yes, Your Majesty!" They scream in unison and I smile. Its finally time to get this started...

And that is it for chapter 51 of The Heart Of Blaze! Sorry it took so long to type down, but it was a hard thing to do.

This is because I had to make sure I understand whats going to happen in the next couple chapters before I could even think of posting this one and that's why it took so damn long to type down.

I want you guys to remember that the passage of time within Zeus's void-space is different compared to the normal world and sometimes unpredictable but lets just say that while the conversation with Henrietta took a minute the conversation with Sasha took around an hour, that helps it all make so much more sense.

Anyways, read and review! And Good Morning/Day/Night to you all! ADIOS FOR NOW!
