((Day 1))
Okay, its day one of operation 'plan engagement party', and I'm going to be honest with you...I'm kinda scared. What if something goes wrong? Or we can't have it where we want it to be held? Or...! "Yo Ally, chill out girl!" Dez said and I just glared at him. "Yo?! Chill out?! Girl?!" I frustratedly said. "First of all, I'm not your 'girl' and secondly, don't EVER tell me to chill out! Do you understand? Or do I have to repeat myself?!" Dez looked horrified, truly scared. I'd be lying if I said that I didn't take pride in making him feel that way, but at this moment I only had a few days to plan an engagement party. So yeah...I'm going to be a bit of a bitch.
Dez, Trish And I, were seated at a small café, I discovered awhile back. Where is Austin, you all might be thinking. Well, my loving hubby to be, is busy helping his father and my father move some furniture. So I'm stuck with all the planning. Which...to be honest, I kind of prefer, because knowing Austin...he'd only whine and bitch about doing this, but on the bright side, with Austin occupied, I now have all the extra time, we would have spent arguing, for planning this event.
"So you two like the idea of a garden themed party?" I desperately asked my two best friends. "Oh yeah! Love the idea." Trish said taking another sip of her cappuccino. Smiling, I turned to look at Dez. His elbows were resting on the table and his fingers interlocked in one another. He look seriously serious. I nodded my head, showing that I'm ready for his answer, but one did not come. Two minutes, five minutes later... Time was passing and my husband to be had an idiot for a best friend. (No offence Dez.) "Well!?" I blurted out.
"Well what?" I mentally and literally face palmed. Seriously, I hit myself in the face with the palm of my hand. "Ow! What was that for!?" Trish had hit Dez over the head. "For not answering Ally's question." Trish stated angrily. "Ooooh! Wait...what question?" Both, Trish and I, face palmed as Dez looked like the natural dumbass he usually was. Again...no offence Dez. "What were you thinking so seriously about?"
"Oh, I was thinking whether or not I should buy my fish a friend. You know, like a cat of some sort."
"Um Dez, you do realize that-"
"Don't-, don't even bother." Trish said, as she shook her head in shame.
((Day 15))
Okay! Its day 15, and I've done a lot since day one. I have:
Booked a reservation at the most beautiful park in Miami; arranged with my mother, Mrs Moon and a couple of other female family members to help provide the food and drinks; and I even rented tables and chairs for the guests. All I have left to do is to invite the guests.
"But Ally!" Austin wined. "I don't want to spend my afternoon deciding whether or not who we are going to invite!"
"Oh Austin! Grow up will you! It won't take that long. Now sit down!" Austin sat down on the grass and I soon mirrored his movements. "Will you at least tell me why we are outside instead of inside?"
"Because, its a beautiful day, and you can do with a little fresh air."
Crossing his arms, all child-like, he pouted his lip and stuck his nose in the air all snobby like. "Oh come on Austin." I said, rubbing his upper arm, trying to convince him to just suck it up and work together with me. But he wasn't responding. Damn it!
"Oh please baby, do it for me." He turned to look at me, but still no sign of cooperating. And that's when I pulled out the puppy dog eyes. Sighing, he showed his defeat. "Okay, fine. Who an say no to all that." Smiling like a happy straight A's schoolgirl, I hugged him and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.
"Okay! So, who do you want to invite?"
"Well, I was thinking we could invite some close friends, grandparents, parents obviously, and maybe a few close relatives?"
"Okay yeah! That's actually a great idea."
So that's how both, Austin and I, had spent our afternoon, deciding who to invite and who to just casually ignore without being rude.
((Day 23))
Its day twenty three, and everything is done and sorted! We have catering, a venue, I have invited our most important guests, and we have a time and date! Oh, I'm so exited I can hardly wait!
"Eep! This is so exiting!" I exclaimed as I jumped up and down. "Yeah, I know Ally, we ALL know." Trish said as she started to laugh. "S-sorry...I'm just really-"
"Exited?" Laughing, I nodded at Trish.
Trish and I were currently clothes shopping for the party. "So see anything you like?"
"No, you?"
"Nope!" Trish said popping the -p-.
As time passed, Trish and I both found ourselves drawn to this one shop. It wasn't big or fancy, but I have to say, the shop had great clothes. "So?"
"So?" I repeated, looking at all the different kinds of clothes. "Are you going to give Austin anything?" I suddenly stopped my search and looked at her. "What do you mean, give him something?"
"You know, like a present of some sort."
"Wait! I'm suppose to give him something?!"
"Well yeah? Its kind of the rules?"
I was now freaking out, I didn't know this and the party is in a few days! "What am I going to do?" Trish shrugged. "Maybe you can just write and perform him a song or something, I don't know." And then it hit me. "That's a great idea Trish! I'll write him a song!"
