Once the two of them were alone Jade sat forward in her seat, "Why am I sensing an odd vibe between the two of you?"

Sighing Stephanie placed Chloe in her bouncy chair, "Because things are odd between us. We both want to be with each other but I think because of all of the uncertainty over whether I am really pregnant and because of the way things have happened we just don't know how to be together."

"Do you think you're pregnant?"

Clasping her hands in front of her on the table fiddling with her fingers she nodded her head, "Yes, the morning sickness has started minus the actual throwing up part for now and just . . . I don't know, now I have that initial result things are making sense and I think that I am. Don't take this the wrong way but I kind of wish that I wasn't but I'm not regretting that I am, I just wish that it hadn't happened now because I feel like he is only saying that he is interested because he feels obligated."

Looking at her best friend like she had lost her mind Jade switched seats so she was sitting closer to her, "Steph have you seen the way he looks at you or how he is around you? If that is when he feels obligated I'd hate to see him when he likes a girl just because he likes her."

"You think he might really like me?"

She didn't just think it, she knew it. Grabbing Stephanie's hands she wanted to knock sense into her, "Absolutely. Steph you need to listen to me when I tell you to give the guy a chance, don't assume that he doesn't really like you just because of the situation that you are in. Do you promise me that you will give this a chance and not try and sabotage yourself?"

Nodding her head slowly it was what Stephanie wanted so she was going to keep trying, "I am trying with him, I swear that I am. Things are getting better between the two of us, I mean last night we cuddled on the bed after his shower and we're both trying our best but I think tonight will be good for us and then when I go to the Doctor on Monday things will get easier."

"And until you go to the Doctor you just need to focus on making your relationship the best it can be and for that reason I think that we should go and pick out your outfit before I do dinner."

"What about Tyler?"

Getting up she went and looked out of the window smiling at the scene in front of her watching Paul playing soccer with her son, "He's fine, he is having a blast with Paul and we're only going to be upstairs."

Sighing at the thought of how little was in her closet she did need help finding something to wear, "Okay that would be nice please."

Picking Chloe up the three of them made their way up the stairs.

After a while of playing with Tyler in the garden Paul knew he needed to go and help with Chloe's dinner, "Tyler, we need to go in now okay? I need to get my daughter some dinner and I'm sure your Mom is working on yours too."

Frowning sadly he didn't like that, "Can we plays again please?"

Ruffling the little boys hair he smiled at him, "Of course we can. If we have chance we can play tomorrow or we can play Sunday before you leave."

Picking up the ball Tyler ran towards the door and stood patiently waiting for Paul to join him and open the door.

Opening the back door Paul expected to see the girls in the kitchen but it was empty, "I guess they've gone into the lounge to sit comfortably Tyler. Let's put that ball somewhere safe and we'll go and find them okay?"

Locking the door Paul made his way to the cloakroom with Tyler trailing behind him. Opening the door he motioned inside, "If you put the ball in here we will know where it is when we have time to play this weekend."

"'Kay 'kay." Placing the ball on the floor carefully he stepped back so the door could be closed just as the doorbell rang, "Vis'tor."

"Looks like it." Shutting the door he made his way to the front door mindful of the little boy and where he was but he didn't need to worry about him as he followed him to the door.

Opening the door he smiled at the poor person in front of him struggling with two bouquets of flowers, "Hi, can I help you?"

"I'm looking for Jade and Stephanie McMahon."

The girls had just finished picking out Stephanie's outfit for the date when the doorbell rang so carrying Chloe on her hip Stephanie made her way towards the stairs to go and answer it as as far as she knew the boys were still outside.

She had just reached the top of the stairs when she saw Paul appear making his own way to the door so she breathed a sigh of relief as it allowed her to slowly make her way down the stairs.

Halfway down the stairs she heard her name but didn't know who was there as the door hid her view, "What do you want?"

Turning his head at the sound of her voice Paul pushed the door open a little further so that she could see it was a delivery of flowers, "I'll take those."

Wanting to prove he was a big boy Tyler spoke up, "I helps."

Smiling down at the little boy he was the kind of child that Paul wanted Chloe to grow in to, "Thank you Tyler." Taking one bouquet of flowers from the woman he took note of the name on the card before he carefully bent down close to Tyler's level, "I need you to hold these really carefully okay?"

Nodding his head Tyler carefully grasped hold of the bowl on the bottom, "Where they go?"

Briefly looking towards the stairs he noticed that both women were now on the floor he leaned forward and whispered into his ear, "Give them to your Mom please." Standing up he watched the little boy take slow and deliberate steps towards his Mom so he looked back at the woman at the door feeling guilty, "Sorry for holding you up."

Shaking her head she had enjoyed watching the scene in front of her, "It's okay, this was my last delivery and watching you with your son is just adorable."

His eyes widened and he shook his head, "He's not my son, he's a friend's little one."

Blushing furiously she thrust the clipboard out towards him, "Sorry. Please sign this."

"It's okay, don't worry." Taking the clipboard from her he quickly signed his name before he swapped the clipboard for the bouquet of flowers she still had in her arms, "Have a good evening."

"You too. Bye."

Watching her walk away a little he shut the door before he turned around and smiled at Jade and Tyler as they hugged.

Carefully holding the flowers Jade stood back up staring directly at Paul assuming he had something to do with it, "So where did these come from? Does anybody know?"

Shrugging he smiled innocently, "I heard they put these little cards in bouquets of flowers that tell you where they came from."

Jade laughed at his sarcastic response whereas Stephanie shook her head, "Play nice Paul."

"I am playing nice, I'm just stating the obvious."

"Don't be mad at him Steph, I think it was funny." Pulling out the card she read it and shook her head, "I take it back, feel free to be mad at him. What the hell sort of explanation is 'thank you' on a card? That doesn't tell me anything."

Walking closer to Stephanie he kissed the side of his daughter's head as she held her in her arms, "It's a good one if you ask me, that and all of the reasons I have to thank you wouldn't fit on that tiny little card so I figured just the two words would be enough." Turning to look at Stephanie he smiled softly, "These are for you. I'm not sure whether to swap baby for flowers or if you want to juggle both or you just want me to keep hold of them but they're for you."

Biting down on her lip she smiled shyly, "You didn't need to get me more flowers, you already got me the roses."

"Yeah but I didn't get to actually give those to you because of everything and we're going out on a date tonight and I would normally bring them with me when I picked you up but I'm not picking you up so you get them now."

Reaching up on her tiptoes she kissed his cheek, "Thank you."

Shrugging his shoulders he had to resist the urge to carefully wrap his arms around her and hug her, "You're welcome."

Staring at the two of them Jade shook her head, "I wish the two of you would just f word and put everybody else out of the misery of having to watch this show you put on where you just dance around each other."

Stephanie gasped and looked at her friend in shock, "You did not just say that."

"Oh I did and I meant it. Can you just get it over with please? It might make things better between you."

Paul stepped in not wanting the friends to fall out or to keep discussing it in front of the kids, "We have discussed it and we have both agreed that we are going to wait. I can't stand here discussing this all night as I need to get my daughter dinner and then I have a date with an incredibly beautiful woman to get ready for so if you will excuse me."

Waiting until he had walked off Jade turned to Stephanie and smiled, "I like him a lot, you've got a good guy there."

"Ugh, stop saying that I have a good guy, I don't have anything."

Resisting the urge to strangle her Jade steered her son towards the kitchen, "Let's get you some dinner before I say something I regret."

Walking into the kitchen she went straight for Paul who was stood infront of the fridge and freezer, "I kind of forgot to bring something to cook for Tyler's dinner so what can I borrow and replace tomorrow or where can I get take out from please?"

Stopping mid-shake Paul turned to look at her not sure if he had heard her right, "I don't understand, I have plenty of food here that you can hopefully make a meal for yourself and Tyler out of, I'm not going to run out of anything that'll need to be replaced tomorrow."

"I'll still replace it tomorrow though because I don't want to eat your food."

Placing the bottle down he turned around and threw open the doors of the fridge and freezer, "Just eat whatever you want from here and/or the cupboards and don't worry about replacing it. You are a guest and I would not ask for you to replace food you ate so just relax okay?"

She felt awkward about eating his food when he wasn't here to eat it also but he had said that she could and she was hungry so now she just needed to find something to cook.

Turning his attention back to Chloe's dinner Paul looked up when Stephanie entered the room again with Chloe, "You okay Steph?"

Brought out of her thoughts by him addressing her she looked up and nodded her head, "Yes thanks." Placing Chloe in her bouncy chair which was by the table she took a seat beside her and resumed thinking about what Jade had said until Tyler tugged on her arm, "What's up Ty?"

Pouting he gave her the cutest look he could muster, "Can I has a cuddle please?"

Pushing her chair back a little she smiled and picked the little boy up sitting him on her lap, "Like this?"

Nodding his head he rested it on her shoulder.

Looking at Stephanie as she cuddled with Tyler it melted his heart and made him fall for her that little bit harder. Shaking his head he had to get those thoughts off his mind so he didn't scare her away by coming on too strong tonight. Taking a deep breath he picked up Chloe's dinner and walked over to the table placing the bottle on the table before he picked his daughter up so she was on his lap and cuddled her closely.

Out of the corner of her eye Stephanie watched Paul with Chloe and it was too much tonight, her hormones were going crazy and after listening to Jade she had to get out of there, "I need to start getting ready for my date so I am going to head upstairs."

Pouting Tyler slid off her lap, "Cuddles tomorrow?"

Kissing the top of his head she nodded her head, "Always." Leaving the room without another word she made her way upstairs to shower and get ready.

Silently shifting Chloe in his arms from where he was cuddling her to lay her down to feed her her bottle, placing the bottle to her lips he turned his head to look at Jade, "Was it something I said with Steph?"

Jade had watched with interest as Stephanie practically ran from the room and had wondered what it was about too, "I don't think it was you, maybe she needed the bathroom so decided to combine the two things?"

Rolling his eyes he shook his head, "You believe that as much as I do."

Laughing she liked that he called her on her bullshit, "Okay okay, maybe it wasn't that. I'll talk to her when I finish with Tyler's dinner, if you don't mind watching him for a minute."

Shaking his head he wanted her to enjoy the evening so if she wasn't feeling it then he would prefer to cancel it than her to go through with it and be miserable, "That would be great, thank you."

He turned his attention back to his daughter but he felt eyes on him so lifted his head and saw Tyler watching him, "Everything okay Tyler?"

Nodding his head he was intrigued by the way he was feeding Chloe, "How comes she is drinking like dat?"

"She's just a baby so her mouth and throat isn't as developed as yours as mine so needs the extra help of it going to the back of her mouth." He didn't know if it was entirely true but it would do when he was distracted.

"Ohhh. Can I sees?"

Smiling he would welcome the distraction from his distraction, "Of course. If you come around here you can even help hold the bottle for her."

Walking around the chairs he stood beside Paul and took hold of the bottle mesmerised watching the little girl eating her dinner.

Making her way to her bedroom Stephanie shut the door before she sat on the edge of the bed and put her head in her hands, she was the one who had said no sex but here she was thinking about what Jade had said about them needing to have sex to sort things out between them, she knew she was just being ridiculous but she couldn't help but consider it and that made her feel stupid. Collapsing back to lay down she threw her arm over her face feeling like her head was about to explode.
