Nick headed into the kitchen, and set everything out on the table. Once he was sure he had everything ready, he headed back out into the living room. He smiled as he saw Mandy walking around looking at his pictures. She smiled as she saw him come over. "You have a big family," she said, looking at the photo of his sisters and brother.

"Yea," he laughed, "That's for sure. I guess my dad thought if they had six kids, one of them was sure to end up in Law Enforcement." Mandy laughed at the thought. "I always wanted a big family." Nick nodded in agreement. "Me too, it's such a loving environment…" His voice trailed off, "Hey, dinner's ready. Are you hungry?" Mandy smiled and nodded, and he lead her into the dining room.

He showed her a chair, and pulled it out for her. "Thank you, Nick." He grinned, and took his place across from her. The dinner was silent for the most part, both Nick and Mandy feeling like teenagers all over again. Neither of the two could hold the others gaze for longer than a few moments without giggling, grinning and looking away.

After dinner the two made their way to the couch. Nick poured Mandy some wine, and sat down with his own glass. Again, silence filled the room, and Nick debated where to start. Finally Mandy spoke up. "What made you ask me out?" Nick looked up from his wine glass, and smiled, "Like you don't know?" Mandy giggled, and drew a deep breath, "None of that mattered Nick. Sara might have given you a little push, but you had your own reasons. What were they?"

Nick looked down and chuckled. "Does it sound crazy when I say I think you may be it?" Mandy looked shocked and confused, "It?" Nick nodded and scooted closer, "Yeah, it. The one?" Mandy stared into his eyes a few moment before speaking, and exhaled. "No, I don't think you're crazy, I think you're right." Nick laughed and reached for her hand, "Way to flatter yourself." Mandy gave him a playful punch, "I didn't mean that. I mean, I feel the same way."
