When he got to the mountain he made sure to look like he just did a run. Flash was waiting for him back at the mountain.

"How was the run kid?"

"Fun it felt nice to stretch my legs you know?" Flash nodded completely understanding what he meant. Flash lead him towards the med bay and Bart noticed Caitlin laying in the bed next to his. She looked bad, really bad. For once he felt bad for her. But right now Bart needed to clear his mind.

"Bart, what's wrong?" he asked, noticing his face expression. Bart figured he wouldn't be able to tell Barry about the fact that he and June had their first fight, especially since June wasn't supposed to be alive.

"Nothing, gramps." he flashed him a false grin.

"You miss June don't you kid?" His grandfather asked him as he put a hand on his shoulder. Bart nodded slowly. He could feel the hot tears escaping his eyes. He quickly wiped then away.

"Don't feel to bad kid. Caitlin was the one who took worse then anyone." Bart looked back at Caitlin and watched her sleep for a couple seconds. Bart turned back to his grandfather and hugged him. This caught Barry off-guard. Bart never hugged anyone but June.

Sure, he hugged everyone when he first came, but he didn't do it that often afterwards. It quickly caught on that he wasn't a touchy-feely person, the exact opposite of June. Barry hugged Bart back, a bit happy at the contact. "It's okay, Bart."

"I'm supposed to be the fastest kid in the world..." he mumbled.

"Sometimes you can't be fast enough Bart. I know how you feel." Barry said in a comforting voice.

Bart looked up at him with tears in his eyes. "How?" He said in a shaky voice.

"I was saving some citizens from a burning building and it was going to explode any minute. But I couldn't get to that one person. The snake was effecting my breathing and I couldn't vibrate my molecules or anything." Barry sat down on the end of Bart's bed. Bart understood what he was trying to say.

"No matter how fast you run Bart, you can't always save everyone. Even if you are the fastest boy alive." Barry said. He gave Bart a small sad smile. Bart looked at him and gave him one in return.

"Hey kid I'm going to go home. Are you going to stay here?"

"Yeah. Besides someone has to be here to help take care of Caitlin and keep her company." Bart said as he gave a little smile.

"I'll do just that." He nodded. Barry smiled and disappeared in a streak of red and yellow Bart leaned in bed and thought about his argument with June. She looked so upset, and betrayed. He felt bad, and then angry, and then bad again for feeling angry at her. When this was all over, he was so taking her out.

After they were chewed out by the League. He suddenly heard a groan. He looked over at Caitlin and saw that she was starting to wake up. She looked over at Bart and smiled at him.

"Well look who's awake before me." Bart got off of his bed and walked over to hers. He sat down in the chair that was next to her bed.

"Are you feeling ok Caitlin?"

"Yeah I'm fine. Just in a little pain." She said as she tried to sit up. Bart got up from his seat and helped her.

After he helped her sit up she smiled at him a little bit. "Thanks Bart."

"You okay?" She asked him.

Bart nodded. "Things are really fuzzy, but I'll be fine. You, on the other hand, I heard you nearly fell into a coma."

"Yeah, something like that..." Bart snorted. "That Renegade chick was creepy. Flirted with me more than I flirted with... anyway, I'm fine now." He avoided talking about June.

"Yeah but at least your fine." Caitlin said. It looked like something was bothering her. He could tell.

"What's wrong?"

"No one has seen Jaime for a couple days and I'm starting to worry a little."

"He's probably at home or something." Bart said with a smile. He was doing his very best to get her mind off of him. But where was he anyway?

"Jaime can handle himself, I'll even run over to his house later." Bart said.

"Thanks, Bart. And... I know you're upset about June-"

"I'm not the only one, Caitlin. I know something is bothering you."

"I'm fine-" "No, you're not fine, Cay. I can tell, you're feeling the mode right now."

"I guess you could say that." Then there was a silence between them.

"Do you like ice cream?" Bart finally asked.

Caitlin looked at him weird. "Yeah I do why?"

"Do you want a ice cream sundae?" Bart asked with a questioning look.

"Did you have to ask?" She said. Bart zoomed to the kitchen and came back a few seconds later with a bowl of ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce and a couple cherries.

"Here ya go!" Bart said as he came back and put the ice cream on the little table Caitlin had that was attached to her bed. After a few minutes, the door opened.

"You didn't leave any for me?" Dick whined. Caitlin smirked, picked up the spoon, and took a long, exaggerated bite from her ice cream. Bart had finished by the time she spoon was out of her mouth. Dick grumbled under his breath.

"Just wanted to let you know, you're not going on a mission to the War World, and I figured Bart would want to stay here-"

"No way, man." he stood up, zipping away and returning with his Impulse outfit on. It felt good to wear the good guy suit again.

"Then I guess I'm gonna hang out by myself unless I get a babysitter." Caitlin said as she looked at her brother. She wanted to cross her arms but she didn't want to Ned up her IV needle that was in her lower arm. Dick gave her a look.

"As long a you don't destroy the place." Dick said as he crossed his arms. Having Caitlin being alone in the mountain when they are on a mission, might be a bad idea.

Caitlin smirked. "No promises."

Dick shook his head and followed Bart to the Zeta Tubes. Caitilin leaned back in her bed and began to think about what Bart had said about the future. She apparently didn't exist or at least make it into the history books, but as far as she knew, Caitilin was pretty sure she existed.

Jaime was supposed to betray Earth and take over the world while enslaving the meta population, but that won't happen since Green Beetle cleaned his scarab. June was supposed to go mad and try to take over the world, but that obviously can't happen due to the fact that she had been killed by her own father.

But she had a strange feeling that something was missing. Something important about her younger cousin. But what was it? What could it be? She felt like it was something big, something that Bart doesn't want revealed. She pushed it out of her mind and turned on the tv that was in the medbay and continued to eat her ice cream before it started to melt.

With June

When Bart left, June slipped back under the covers and cried her eyes out. She mentally berated herself for crying, thinking they had bigger problems to worry about. She felt bad for yelling at Bart, but she had needed someone to take stress out on. Wiping away the stray tears, June pushed herself out of bed and placed sunglasses on her face to hide her red eyes. She entered the kitchen and sat at the table silently, poking her fork at her eggs.

"June." Deadshot greeted her.

She mumbled a response, not being in the mood to talk. Finally, she stood up and went back to her room, locking the door. Sitting down on her bed, June sighed as she laid down. She felt horrible about Bart.

June had missed him, which is why she had snapped at him before for leaving her... they had had their first fight. June wanted to cry and punch the nearest thing in anger. She hated crying. If there was one thing she and her father had in common, was the idea to never show weakness. Bart probably hated her, and when the others found out they'd be furious at her.

Batman would never forgive her for it, after all, he sent more thugs to the hospital than jail when she 'died'. Caitilin might never talk to her again. She couldn't bare the fact that her family would hate her for what she did.

June shrunk down, putting her head face first into her pillow. She couldn't believe that they had their first fight and she started to regret it. How is she going to deal with this?! She suddenly heard a knock on her door.

She lifted her head up from her pillow. "Who is it?"

"It's your father, June. Can I come in?"

"I don't know can you?"

She heard a sigh from the other side of the door. "Just let me in." June got up from her bed and walked over to the door. She unlocked the door and walked back over to her bed.

"Now you can." She said. The next second, her door opened with her father behind it. He walked in and closed the door behind him. After that he walked over to her and sat next to her. "What's wrong?" "Nothing's wrong I have no idea what your talking about." She said as she tried to clear her voice. She needed to make sure that her voice didn't sound like she was crying.

Deadshot immediately frowned. "It's about Inertia, isn't it?"

"No." her voice cracked softly, and tears sprung from her eyes. Deadshot, much to June's surprise, brought her into a hug.

"Don't worry, Juniper, we'll get him back. And this time, it'll be foolproof." June nodded, trying to keep her tears at bay.

"Right," She mumbled, "Can I be alone?" Deadshot hesitantly nodded and left the room. June couldn't believe that her father had actually hugged her. He's supposed to be a really tough bad guy, but on the inside he's a nice guy and a protective father. She looked out the window of her room and began to think.

What was the lights next move going to be? And when is she going to meet their partner? The Reach. It has to be soon, but she has heard from her father when he was talking to the light, that some planet named the 'war world' was coming this way.

She doesn't even know what that is. She never heard of the 'war world' before. Bart didn't even tell her about it before at all.

June sighed and pulled the covers over her body, shivering. She felt so cold, yet so hot at the same time. Her head felt like it was clouded under a blanket of fog... She just felt so tired. June curled herself underneath the blankets, but found that as tired as she was, she couldn't sleep. Her mind kept going back to her guilt. She could have told the team about Kaldur.

If she did, M'gann wouldn't have destroyed his mind... And his and Artemis' cover wouldn't be at stake. If she had told Batman what she was planning on doing, maybe he wouldn't have sent a bunch of thugs who just want to get money for their families to hospitals they couldn't dream about paying.

If June had told Caitilin, maybe she wouldn't have locked herself away from everyone and refuse to eat. Maybe she wouldn't have gotten hurt. Maybe June wouldn't have had to stab her in the stomach and nearly send her in a coma.

If June hadn't dragged Bart along with her, maybe he wouldn't have been in the hospital bed. Maybe he wouldn't have had to try to kill Flash, and then sit through her yelling at him. Maybe if she hadn't been a coward, Jason wouldn't have died. Maybe if she had been fast or strong enough, Tim wouldn't be an orphan. Maybe if she had died with her parents, no one would have gotten hurt.

She just couldn't deal with it anymore. She couldn't deal with the pain and guilt anymore. Just for the sake of the mission, she had to hurt her family. Everyone she cared about. She was completely selfish! June realized that she was dealing with to much and needed an escape.

She got up from her bed and went to the bathroom. She sat on the floor with her back towards the wall. Then she spotted a razor. What if...no! Bad idea! But then again..it would feel good to let the pain out in some sort of escape. Maybe just once. So June grabbed the razor from where it was sitting and pressed it against her skin. Then she sliced her wrist.

It started to bleed but the second the razor went across her skin she felt a relig in herself. Like she just found her escape from everything. She didn't realize that she began to do it about five more times. It just felt so good. June breathed deeply and stared at her wrists, eyes glazed over.

Then, everything went black. Deadshot heard a loud noise in the bathroom. When he knocked on the door, no one answered. He shoved open the door and froze at the sight of his daughter on the ground, wrists bleeding, and face pale.

He quickly grabbed the first aid kit and wrapped her wrist with the white bandages that were placed I side the kit. After he done that, he picked her up and walked back to her bedroom. He then laid her down on her bed and put the covers on her.

He went back to the bathroom and cleaned up the first aid kit and the blood that was on the floor. He noticed the razor, covered in blood, laying on the floor. Deadshot picked it up and threw it in the trash can. Then he took the trash can and put the trash in a trash bag in the kitchen. He started to wonder what set June off to hurt herself.

He sighed, sitting beside his daughter's bed. He brushed her hair out of her face. What would have set her off? He somehow doubted Bart was the only cause. Was it the pressure from the Light? Or confronting Shadow? One thing was for sure. He was NOT letting her on missions anytime soon, and he was personally placing her on suicide watch.
