A/N: So I Googled green waffles after seeing the image prompt and now I want to try these!
Harry yawned and made his way into the kitchen. Something smelled delicious and he was determined to find the source of it. It was no surprise to find Draco at the stove considering Harry was the only one that usually slept in and Kreacher had long since passed. Harry made his way to the coffee pot and poured himself a mug before sitting at the table, taking the sugar with him and summoning the cream.
"What're you making?" he asked.
"Pandan waffles," Draco said over his shoulder.
"What's a panda have to do with waffles?" he asked, stopping short of pouring the cream.
"Nothing," Draco snorted. "But pandanus amaryllifolius does."
"Now I think you're swearing at me," he said, going back to his coffee. "What happened to regular waffles?"
"I wanted these. I used to have them all the time when I was away in Vietnam," Draco said, as he walked over. "And I thought they looked festive."
"How do waffles look-" Harry stopped when he got his answer. It was on his plate and he frowned at it. "These waffles are green…"
"I know," Draco nodded. "Pandan is green so it stands to reason-"
"Okay, what am I eating?" Harry asked, suddenly wary.
"Waffles," Draco said, cutting into his own. "I already told you."
"But what is this panda stuff you put in it?" he asked, poking at the waffle.
"Pandan," Draco clarified. "And it's a plant, which is green. Merlin Harry, it isn't going to kill you. Just eat it."
"Do I have to…?" he grumbled.
"I dare you not to," Draco said, watching him in that test-me-and-see-what-happens way.
Harry sighed and tucked into his breakfast. He ignored Draco's smug look when he found out that he actually liked it and mumbled a, "Not bad." Because it was too early for him to deal with a Draco that had just been proven right.
