Back with a chapter, FINALLY! It's been a while and I'm yet again sorry.
I had some trouble with motivation, but I hope that it will get better soon and I want to thank those who helped me get the motivation back and did brainstorming with me every hour of the day.
Hope you like this chapter and tell me what you think!

What to Expect When You're NOT Expecting THAT to Happen
Kingdom of Norway, 977 A.D
Freya watched as her aunt chanted something she couldn't understand. She tried everything to wish that her living siblings and the ones to come were something to look forward to, not that she understood why she's taken in the first place.
Freya was watching Dahlia as she walked around, chanting. Freya didn't understand what was happening. Dahlia approached her with some food.
"Eat, Freya, or you'll waste way." Dahlia told the little girl. Freya didn't understand and it made Dahlia angry.
"Stubborn child! You need your strength so that I may teach you to use the power that runs strongly in our line and that will keep us warm in the cold." Dahlia exclaimed. "With that power, we will defeat our enemies. We can stay young and beautiful."
"Together, we will be the strongest witches this world has ever seen."
"I want my mommy!" Freya cried out, still not understanding anything.
"Your mother didn't want you. She gave you away. This is your home now. I am your family and there's not greater power than the strength of family.
Amy's p.o.v
"Amy…" I heard a voice beside me. I almost jumped into the air at the voice, knowing that it had to be a witch that knew how to sneak up on a hybrid.
"Davina… You scared me. What are you doing here?" I asked with a whisper.
"I'm sorry, I tried to call you several times but you never returned them." Davina whispered back.
"Ok… I'm sorry I didn't call you back. It's been a busy day… Is there something wrong?" I asked, starting to get worried. Davina looked up at me with a strange look on her face.
"I need to tell you something…."
I almost jumped out of the memory of last night, when I heard Hope waking up the following morning. Nik came home an hour after Davina left and was gone by the time I woke up this morning, but not before kissing my forehead both times.
I looked over at my precious baby girl and I still couldn't understand how lucky I was, how lucky Nik was, to have this beautiful creature in our lives. I slowly made my way over to her, cooing over her like a crazy person and scooped her up into my arms.
"Hey, baby girl. I'm so glad you feel better today." I whispered in her ear. I'm so glad she finally had a good night sleep.
"I love you so much, baby. I don't ever want you think I will ever love you any less." I said, kissing the side of her head before getting her ready for the day.
When I finished, I walked towards the living room, knowing that Nik enjoying his breakfast blood. When Hope caught a glimpse of him, she squealed and made noises for him to hear.
"There's my girls!" Nik exclaimed, as he put his cup of blood away, not wanting Hope to see it. He took Hope from my arms, and I was happy to give her to him, I loved watching the interactions between the two of them. Nik looked over at me but he could tell that I was a million miles away, literary.
"Are you ok, love?" Nik asked as he rocked Hope.
"I'm fine, I promise you." I said with a smile before capturing his lips with mine. I knew that he didn't fully believe me, but Hope kept him busy.
"Hey… I have a few errands to run this morning. Do you mind watching Hope for a while? I don't want Hayley anywhere near our daughter at the moment." I asked my husband, trying not to give too much away. Nik looked at me for a moment, trying to figure out what I was doing but decided against asking me about it. I was extremely glad about that.
"Sure thing, Little Wolf. I'd love to spend some quality time with one of the girls I love most in this world." Nik told me as he kissed Hope's cheek.
"That's good to know and I hope I'm the second one." I said with a grin. Nik laughed at my silliness.
"Of course you are, sweetheart. Now, are you sure that you're ok?" Nik asked me with a worried look on his face. I did want to tell him about my conversation with Davina last night, but I didn't know what to tell him. I composed myself before giving him a smile.
"Of course, I am fine; I just have some stuff to do before we're dragged into something besides all the crap that's already happening." I answered quickly.
Nik looked at me funny, but I tried not to pay attention. I put on my jacket and turned to face my beautiful husband and daughter and that's when I noticed the card on his desk.
"What is that?" I asked looking a note about a family brunch addressed to Freya. "Nik, are you actually inviting the girl over for a meal?"
"Why, yes love, of course. She belongs to the family, and by belonging to this family, we do need her on our side." Nik told me and I felt my blood boiling.
This was the girl, which screwed me over a few years ago, and I really thought I could count on her. Clearly, I was wrong.
Nik could sense that I wasn't too happy about it and brought me closer to him.
"I know you don't like her, sweetheart, but…" Nik started to say but he could see how angry I was.
"But nothing!" I hissed. Nik knew not to mess with me and he knew that I was on the edge.
Hope didn't like me getting this angry and started to fuzz. Nik rocked her gently and kissed her forehead.
"It's ok, sweetheart. Mommy is just acting a little hormonal today. She seem to not comprehend the meaning of alliances." Nik cooed at our daughter. I didn't like that statement and gave him the stink-eye.
"Whatever. I'm late anyway. I don't know when I'm back. Don't wait for me to come back to participate this so-called reunion meal. I'm just not interested." I told Nik as I tried to ignore the way he looked at me.
"Don't be like that, little wolf." Nik started to say but I cut him off.
"I need to go…" I said and walked out the door, trying the best I could to ignore the desperate cries from Hope, knowing that Nik was more than capable to take care of her alone.
By the time I got outside on the street, I regretted my behavior right away. I hated leaving my daughter when she's upset, but I need to get this done. I need to know if what Davina told me yesterday was true.
This was something I needed to figure out, and I had to do it right now. I walked all the way to the Lafayette cemetery, needing the time it took to walk there, to think. Davina had asked me to meet her here when I had a good night's sleep and here I was, outside the Claire Tomb. I took a deep breath and followed the scent of herbs and other things
I found Davina preparing something when she noticed my presence. She turned around and greeted me with a smile.
"Hi…" Davina said with a careful smile.
"Hey, Davina. Is everything ready?" I replied with a reassuring smile.
"Are you sure that you're not having second thoughts?" Davina asked me. "Because we can not do this and…"
"No, I need to do this. I need to know." I said quickly, before allowing myself to chicken out.
"Then yes, everything is ready. Let's begin shall we?" Davina told me and all I could do was nodding my head and taking a deep breath.
Third person p.o.v
Rebekah startled out of sleep on Marcel's couch that morning. She was haunted in her dreams by something she couldn't understand. In her dream, she killed a teenaged boy and took the magic or something from the girl he was with, and it terrified her. She didn't do this. She would never have done this to innocent kids.
Suddenly, she heard angry voices coming from the outside of the apartment, and at some level, she already knew that they came for her.
"Stay away from the window." Marcel said as he ran into the living room.
"What's all that bloody ruckus?" Rebekah asked a little bewildered.
"Just stay put, I'll handle it." Marcel almost spat at her before leaving her. Rebekah rolled her eyes internally and walked after him.
"Bloody fool. It's as if he doesn't know me at all." Rebekah mumbled under her breath as she listened to the commotion outside.
"Whatever the problem is, if you don't back up, I'll guarantee you it's going to get worse." Rebekah could hear Marcel threaten the people, which she suspected to be witches.
"Marcel Gerard. Do you realized that you're harboring a renegade witch?" Ms. LaRue asked.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Marcel told her coldly, not giving anything away.
"Is that a fact?" Ms. LaRue asked with a smirk as Rebekah walked outside to face the music. There's no way this bitch would stand in Rebekah's way to keep Amy and Hope safe.
"There she is!" A male witch called out in disgust.
"I thought I told you to stay inside."
"I hate being told what to do and I ignored you." Rebekah said as she plastered a smile on her face, trying to charm her way out of this.
"Pardon, luv, but I think this is all a misunderstanding."
"No, this is retaliation for the evil you unleashed last night. Two of our children attacked unmercifully. One dead, the other missing." Ms. LaRue told them and Rebekah almost choked. What happened last night? She thought it was just a dream. Had she really harmed those kids?
"All signs leads to you, Eva." The woman said and it made Rebekah sick to her stomach.
"Hold on. The witch that you knew as Eva Sinclair is gone. Her body was taken over by Rebekah Mikaelson." Marcel defended her.
"Is that your version of an alibi?" Ms. LaRue asked and that made Marcel stop and think for a second. "Take her."
"That won't be necessary." Elijah's voice said calmly as he stalked forward calmly.
"Ms. LaRue… It would be a great shame to soil the good will of our resent agreement. Now, I am sorry for your loss, but Marcel is telling the truth. Rebekah now occupy the body of Eva Sinclair and my sister is innocent of this crime." Elijah told Ms. LaRue calmly but deadly.
"Now, you have my word, I will find whoever is responsible and make certain that justice is deserved. And now, I would encourage you all to leave."
"You have until tomorrow. After that, it won't matter what I say. Witches will stop at nothing to protect their children. The same impulse I know you and that lovely lady I met last night would respect." Ms. LaRue said, referring to Amy, knowing it was a sore spot for Elijah that Amy could be used against his family in some way.
Amy's p.o.v
I hastily packed the items Davina had given me without saying anything. My thoughts was running wild and I didn't know how to control the situation.
"So what are you going to do?" Davina told me carefully.
"I don't know, what is there to do?" I snapped at her. "I mean, this is so not the time to do this."
Davina only smiled warmly at me, trying not to freak me out even more.
"Hey… Everything will be Ok, I know it will." She told me reassuringly.
"Have you thought about when you'll tell Klaus about this?"
I stopped doing what I was doing and looked at her. Oh God! I have to tell him about this.
"I don't know how to tell him… or when really…" I said with a sigh and tears in my eyes. This was not happening.
"Amy… You're supposed to be happy about this." Davina told me.
"Yes, I know that and I am happy… I think." I answered as I closed my eyes.
"Happy about what?"
Davina and I turned our attention towards the entrance of the tomb and saw Rebekah standing there.
"Hey. Nothing in particular..." I said quickly. I hated lying to Rebekah, but she couldn't know this. Not right now anyway.
"What are you doing here, Rebekah?" I asked, trying to get her to think about something else but me.
"I need to talk to Davina, but it seems as if the two you are rather busy." Rebekah said slightly bored.
"No, we're not. We're done here." I said and picked up my bag. "I'll talk to you later."
Rebekah stopped me as I passed her.
"Hey… You would tell if there was something wrong, right? You wouldn't hide anything important from me?" Rebekah asked me with concern in her voice. I really loved that girl; she really was my best friend.
"No, of course not, Rebekah." I said with a reassuring smile before walking out of the tomb.
My mind was raising and I didn't know how to deal with this. It was not supposed to happen. This was not in the cards for me anymore and I accepted that. Why did nature want to find another loophole?
How would I tell my Original, hybrid husband that somehow…..
He was going to be a father again.
I walked down Bourbon Street, absentmindedly clutching onto my stomach. How could I not have known that I was pregnant again?
Is that why Hope was sick? Did she feel my emotions, knowing that Hybrids can't get sick that same way? All these things swirled around in my mind. I had another little bugger inside of me. Another child.
Another Mikaelson… Another kid that would be hunted for the rest of its life.
How was I supposed to do this? How was I supposed to tell Nik and the family?
Without even knowing why I did it, I walked towards the same floral shop I've been to before. Mrs. P's floral shop. She always told me to see her if I needed anything. She even told me to call her by her first name, Susan.
I opened the door slowly and it didn't really surprise me that she was attending other customers. I loved watching her interact with others. She's kind and lovable, including and a safe haven. I knew that from experience. She helped me when I was missing Hope and having a hard time with Nik. She listened to me and gave me comfort.
As the doorbell went off, she looked directly at me. Susan gave me a sweet smile.
"Hello, Amy. To what do I owe this pleasure?" She asked me.
"You want fresh flowers, another set of roses?" Susan asked me as she helped another customer with payment.
"Umh… I'm pregnant?" I said in a question. Mrs. P froze for a second and had her eyes only at me. I knew that she knew about Hybrids and she was as shocked as I was when I found out.
"Everybody out!" She yelled at her customers. "I need to be alone with an old friend of mine."
The store cleared quickly and Mrs. P closed the door for others. She turned towards me with a conflicted look.
"Now, dear… Are you saying that you're pregnant?" Susan asked and I clutched on my stomach once more. The look I gave her, told her everything she needed to know.
"Yes, I am…. And I don't know how to deal with it." I answered before I broke into sobs.
Klaus' p.o.v
I could tell that something was really bothering Amy this morning. She felt more distant for some reason. I just couldn't understand why she couldn't see that us working with Freya is crucial in keeping our daughter safe from Dahlia.
I was ordering people around to get the place ready for the lunch when I heard Hope making noises from her playpen. I walked over to her and found her smiling at me. She had that mischievous Mikaelson grin yours truly invented as a child.
"Well, aren't you a beauty?" I asked my daughter as she kicked her tiny little feet all over the place. I always thought that her mother would be my weakness, but I was wrong. This beautiful creature is also my weakness, my downfall at best. But she's also my light.
I picked her up and she squealed out of happiness, making me laugh.
"You look more and more like your mother every day, it actually starting to scare me a little." I told her and it was true. It was remarkable how much similarities it was between them.
"Can I tell you a secret?" Great, I'm talking to a small child.
"Having you in my life scares me. I don't know how to handle being a father. If it wasn't for your mother, I wouldn't know how to do this." Hope stared at me with amazement; it seemed as if she understood me. She reached up and touched my face.
"I know it may seem as if your mother can be a little hot-headed from time to time, but never think it has anything to do with you. She can just be a little edgy, and maybe you're the only one who can get her to open up a little. But don't tell her I told you this." I told my daughter.
"Told you what?" I head the familiar voice of my wife ask as she walked through the doors. I looked up at her and for some reason, she looked more at ease than before she left.
Amy's p.o.v
After talking to Ms. P for some time, she convinced me to be happy about my second child and that I should talk to my husband as soon as possible.
I was actually happy about it now. I chose to believe it's meant to be.
I walked into the compound and I could see Nik playing and talking with our daughter.
I overheard the two of them interact and Nik talking to Hope as another adult but it was good and nice to watch.
"Don't tell her I told you this." I heard Nik tell our daughter.
"Told you what?" I asked, making myself known. Nik looked up at me with our daughter secure in his arms.
"Nothing really. Just father-daughter talk." Nik answered as I moved closer to them. Hope finally caught a glimpse of me, squealing to let me know she was there too. I gave her a kiss on the cheek but I didn't take her out of Nik's arms.
"So you look a little better than you did this morning when you left." Nik said with a small smile on his face.
"Yeah… I feel a little better, I just needed to go do some things and clear my head for a while." I told him.
"Is everything Ok?" Nik asked a little worried for me.
"Yes, actually… I have something to tell you." I started to say but someone interrupted me. The workers Nik compelled to organize the lunch he had set up for Freya walked through the doors. I know I shouldn't care about them but I chickened out. I couldn't tell him about this. Not right now. I was too much of a chicken to tell my paranoid husband that in some miraculous way, nature had granted us with another child, even though it shouldn't been possible, knowing that I, as a hybrid myself, wouldn't be able to be ever again.
"What did you need to tell me?" Nik asked me but I couldn't do it now. I took Hope from his arms.
"It's about time for her nap. Let me take her." I said and walked away quickly. I felt as a coward.
Hope looked up at me with a strange look, as if she was telling me that I was an idiot.
"Don't look at me like that, Hope. I couldn't tell him and you know it." I told her. I gave her a bottle and sat down in the rocking chair in her nursery.
"What are we going to do, Hope? I can't bring another one into the world. Even though I never regret having you in my life, our lives are so much worse now." I whispered to her. Hope looked up at me with those adorable eyes of hers. One of her tiny hands let go of the bottle and touched my face. It was as if she was telling me that everything was going to be ok.
"Can I tell you a secret? I think it's going to be a boy, but you already knew that, don't you?" I whispered close to her ear, so that Nik wouldn't hear it.
It didn't take long until Hope feel asleep while eating. She looked so adorable, with her mouth open, clutching onto her favorite stuffed animal. Looking at her made me think that maybe having another baby would somehow be wonderful. Of course it was wonderful to be blessed with another child, but it couldn't come at a worse moment. I absentmindedly wrapped an arm around my stomach. There was another Mikaelson in there, I thought with a smile.
I walked downstairs to find Nik in the dining room. Everything seem to be set for this stupid lunch thing with what I thought was my best friend once. I walked up to Nik and put my arms around his waist.
"Is Hope asleep?" Nik asked without turning around to face me.
"Yes, she went out like a light. She fell asleep with the bottle still in her mouth. It was so adorable." I answered before kissing his back lovingly.
"Do you ever think about it, having more kids?" I asked unexpectedly. Or not really, I just wanted to know if he ever thought about it.
"Well, a part of me would love to have more kids with you, but in this dangerous world we live in, it wouldn't be the best thing." Nik said and turned around to face me.
"Why think about that all of the sudden?" He asked, cocking his brow a little.
"No reason. It's just that Hope won't remain this little forever. I guess I will miss it when she's all grown up." I said with a sigh.
"Well. I don't think you should think that much about it. After becoming a hybrid, it's not in the cards for you anymore. And to be honest, I don't think I would handle being a father again." Nik said with a strained laugh before kissing my nose.
My insides turned a little at that comment, but he didn't know about the new baby yet. But I'm not going to lie, it did hurt to hear him not wanting more kids. Nik could see my turmoil and was about to ask me about it when Elijah suddenly came through the gates.
"There you are, finally!" Nik exclaimed with a bored expression on his face. He held onto me as we gazed upon his older brother.
"I was delayed." Elijah answered simply.
"Our guest of honor should be here momentarily." Nik said with a smug smile.
"Strange. The house is conspicuously empty for wolves. Any reason for that?" Elijah asked, not knowing of how Hayley threatened to take Hope away from me if she wanted to.
"That's my doing actually." I said, showing a great deal of anger.
"Ah, yes. Amy here had a little fight with her sister yesterday, so I saw fit to send Hayley and her poorly groomed husband to spend the day with their werewolf brethren to test the limits of their new abilities, leaving me to deal with family business as I see fit.
"Niklaus the situation has taken an ugly turn. We may need Freya's assistance, so whatever you're planning to do here, don't." Elijah told him and that got my attention.
"What do you mean, Rebekah's in trouble? I saw her earlier and she seemed fine." I asked with a slightly higher voice.
"Yes, well..." Elijah answered without looking at me.
"My plan is having a simple chat with a long lost relative. You too said to hear her out." Nik said.
"And you yourself said that would be idiocy."
"Did I? Well, it does sound like me. Regardless of the off chance, Freya could have information that could protect our daughter. Ah! I think I hear her now." Nik said and turned around.
Sure enough, there she was… my backstabbing former best friend.
"Sister! Come in come in. Make yourself comfortable." Nik said but I wasn't thinking the same thing. I didn't want her here. To me, she was still Rey, the one that ran out on me when I needed her the most.
"Amy… Nice to see you again. I hope." Freya said, not responding to Nik's words.
"You know, Rey… I'm sorry, Freya is it, I wish that I could say the same, but oh, well." I answered her, all red in the face from what I'm guessing, hormones and other feelings, cursing through my body.
"Now, now, Amy. Is that how we treat our guest?" Nik said amused at my reaction.
"Let's just get one thing clear; you are not a guest of mine, Nik can invite you as much he wants. But don't think for a second that I will ever reconnect with you after last time." I spat at her at the same time as I heard Hope whimper.
"Excuse me." I said before retreating to my daughter and not giving Freya the chance to defend herself.
I couldn't even stand to be in the same room as her for more than a minute, how was I ever going to get through a whole meal with her here? Could I really just cast aside the fact that she left me when I needed her the most? I don't know.
I peeked in to see if Hope was still sleeping and fortunately, she was. Maybe she just had a bad dream or something.
Third p.o.v
Vincent was still feeling under the weather after finally coming back to himself. He couldn't for the life of him understand why he woke up in the cemetery with four strangers. How was this possible?
Someone entered the room he was in and it turned out to be none other than Marcel Gerard.
"Good morning. How do you feel?" Marcel asked politely.
"Nauseous. I can't concentrate or do magic, but I don't think that's a coincidence, because I can smell the scent of lobelia in my food." Vincent answered him.
"Can't be too careful with witches." Marcel said smugly.
"Is that something you learned from experience, Marcel Gerard? Back when you controlled the Quarter witches with all your rules and public executions?"
"You know who I am. That's good, because I got some questions that need answers. And you seem to know what happens to people that don't give me what I want." Marcel told him.
"I know you ain't the king anymore and I know you can't keep me here. I'm from the Treme-klan, Marcel. Witches from there is a little bit harder breed than you're used to. They're going to want me back." Vincent told him smugly.
"Actually, they already do want you back. A matter of fact, they wanted you back eight months ago. Check the date. You might notice a little time gap." Marcel told him as he gave Vincent today's paper. He looked at it and started to freak out.
"What did you do to me?" He exclaimed.
"Woah, I can't make eight months vanish. Your beef is with a guy named Finn. See, he took possession of your body, got into all kinds of trouble and made some pretty nasty enemies I might add. One of them, a young mother, wanting to kill you, and trust me when I say; She won't go easy on you when she finds you. You don't want to mess around with Amy." Marcel told him.
"Whoa!" Vincent exclaimed.
"Look, I will tell you everything, but first; you've got to tell me about a Treme-witch that you might know; Eva Sinclair." Marcel said and watched as Vincent froze. "Sore subject?"
"I'm done talking." Vincent told him, shutting down completely.
Back at the Claire tomb, Rebekah had just watched Amy practically run away without so much as an explanation regarding her behavior. It made Rebekah even more uneasy. It infuriated her more that Davina wouldn't tell her anything.
"Why won't you tell me why Amy was here?" Rebekah asked her.
"Because it's not my place to tell." Davina shot back as she removed the remaining equipment from the spell confirming Amy's pregnancy.
"Fine, be that way. I have something else for you to do." Rebekah told her in some sort of tantrum. "I need your help figuring out what's going on with me."
Rebekah told her all about her nightmares and wanting the young witch's help.
"Are you serious? Am I supposed to drop my work to figure out your nightmares?" Davina exclaimed.
"They are more than dreams. Look, I came here hoping you would have an answer to why I've been dreaming these things and maybe a way to fix it to make me feel better." Rebekah told her. "But you don't look too good yourself. Have you been getting any sleep?"
"No!" Davina exclaimed, hating the fact that everyone had something to refer to her about Aron.
"I've been here, studying all this time since Aron died and you all promised to help me." Davina spat at her.
"Look, I can't help you as long as the witch I'm possessing is trying to take control over me. Something is wrong. I think she's trying to come back and she's angry." Rebekah told her. Davina didn't want to help her but she figured it would be for the best interest of those around her. She took out her books to show Rebekah.
"I'm only doing this for Amy, but these are some of Kol's old spell books that Aron oh so kindly gave to me. It should be something in here that could help." Davina told her with a sigh. Rebekah looked calmer somehow. She wanted to make this work.
Amy's p.o.v
I walked downstairs again, grabbing a bag of blood on the way, but it didn't taste as good as it usually did. Maybe it had something to do with the pregnancy, I don't know. So I had to remember to tell Nik to take me out hunting for some people. Mainly those who deserved it. Killers, child molesters.
What can I say, call me Dexter Morgan!
I walked back to the dining room where I found the three siblings sitting together, Nik and Elijah trying to understand more about Freya.
Freya was going through some of Nik's personal stuff from the past. Nik reached his hand out for me, knowing that I would attack Freya if I had a chance, but somehow, it felt comfortable.
Freya glanced my way with a sad look upon her face before seeing some artifacts from a long time ago.
"This witch-hoop is Danish. From when you all lived in Copenhagen in the fifteen hundreds." Freya said, trying to take a trip down memory lane.
"Quite the eye." Nik said amused.
"Forgive me, are we here to discuss family heirlooms, or do we have other concerns?" Elijah asked skeptically.
"I'll say we have other concerns." I scoffed.
"Please excuse my wife and my brother's lack of decorum. They've been in a foul mood lately, but they're right." Nik told her to avoid me punching him in the face for the statement he made.
"I did ask you here in the hopes that you could share some of Dahlia's secrets with us. So without further ado, let's get to it."
Nik gestured for Freya to sit down, before pulling a chair out for me. I sat down and to my dismay, right next to Freya. I looked up at Nik, wanting to tear him apart for this, but he shut me up with a kiss on the lips, making me forget anything else. Freya decided to ignore me for now.
"The first thing you need to remember is that Dahlia is the most powerful witch I have ever seen. She craves more power still." Freya told us.
"Right now, she's like me. Living one year of life but she wants to be free of that restriction, to gain true immortality. That is why she will come here, drawn by your daughter, to take the child's powers for herself. She will kill anyone who would defy her." Freya told us and I couldn't understand how Rey could be here now, when she should've been asleep by now.
"And yet, you defy her." Elijah said as he sat down at the table next to us.
"I don't have a choice. She will never let me be free. My one chance is to ally myself with you and kill her." Freya told them. I couldn't sit her and watch this happen. I needed to speak my mind.
"I don't buy it. Why did you come back after my parents died? Why did you stop me from killing myself? Why did you stay close to me for almost a year before vanishing, and don't say it's because of the curse, because we both know it's not." I snapped at her.
Freya looked at me with a soft smile, as she used to do back then.
"You don't know, do you?" She asked me and I looked dumbfounded.
"Know what?" I asked her sharply.
"Know that I tried my best to make sure that you would ever turn into a wolf. That's why I never wanted you to be at that restaurant alone that night." Freya told me.
"I had to be alone. My boss' wife was having a baby." I argued and that made Freya roll her eyes.
"You don't see it, do you? Your boss was gay. He didn't have a baby on the way. Dahlia only made it so you would trigger your gene. And for that, you needed to be alone."
"Why would Dahlia want me to trigger my werewolf gene? What was in it for her?" I asked Freya, pushing her to the limit.
"My God, woman! She knew what kind of meaning you would have for my siblings! She just knew that you would be the one to give her the thing she needed. If you hadn't triggered the gene, she would've lost her power and she would've died." Freya told me and I thought I would collapse.
"What do you mean?"
"Dahlia knew that she needed someone to feast upon to keep herself alive and she made sure that you would be the one to provide her with that." Freya explained as she grabbed my hand. When she did, the scenery changed…
I was back at the road where I bumped into the man I killed; only this was even before I started my shift that day. I watched as Rey stood in the streets, not knowing why she was there.
"You should know by now that whatever you're planning won't work." A voice behind Freya said. She turned around and faced her aunt in horror.
"Auntie… What are you doing here? My year is not done until a couple of months." Freya told her but Dahlia just laughed.
"Oh, my sweet child. I'll always know when you're up to no good and you're not going to destroy what's known to happen no matter what." Dahlia told her.
"What do you mean?" Freya asked her.
"You and I both know that this girl is what we've always prayed for, and I will not let you destroy it!" Dahlia exclaimed before exiling Freya before she could argue. Nothing would now stand in the way of Amy Gilbert to become a Mikaelson and she would finally have the firstborn she craved.
I'm brought out of the memory with a gasp. Did this mean that Freya tried to stop me from breaking my curse, so that Dahlia would die? I didn't even know what to think anymore.
Nik grabbed a hold of my hand when he saw how worked up I got. He tried his best to calm the situation.
"Well, now that we're all super motivated, let's talk details. Before I will hold you for what you just showed my wife." Nik growled at her.
"For you to understand, I need to start from the beginning." Freya told us.
Flashback, 977 AD
After taking me from my family, Dahlia used me to forge a new brand of connective magic, one that augmented my power even as it allowed her to draw from me.
"Take my hand and begin your chants." Dahlia told her.
Once we were bonded, Dahlia became unstoppable. She wasted no time proving her might. The chief of a nearby village threatened to run us of accusing Dahlia of witchcraft. She decided to make an example of the entire encampment. Men, women, children. She killed them all with a wave of her hand. That was my first inkling of the power that Dahlia had. Over the course of a thousand years, she hasn't been more afraid than when she finally found Amy. The one she needed to keep her strength.
End of flashback
"She knew that she needed Amy to restore the power." Freya told us.
"She will bring all her power to bare against you when she comes for your child."
All of this talk made me feel even worse. I didn't want to be here.
"Your stories are fascinating, and Dahlia indeed sound dreadful, but my siblings and I have killed our fair share of evil witches, and Amy has too." Nik told her with a satisfying smile.
"Not like her." Freya argued.
"What are her weaknesses?" Elijah asked before I could.
"She's paranoid, obsessed with power. She hunger constantly for what's been denied her. Be at love or revenge."
"Yes, I think I'm familiar with the type." Elijah told her.
"When I was a child, she told me about her youth. Being victimized by those stronger than her. Dahlia vowed never to be weak again." Freya said. "She bargained the firstborn of our bloodline, intending to raise us in her own image, forming a coven of our own from which she could draw endless power. That plan was ended the day she learned Esther had cut our bloodline by turning her children into vampires." Freya told us and I wasn't sure I wanted to believe it.
"And so the burden fell to me. Dahlia demanded I bared the firstborn that would add to her power, but everyone knew that Amy was the one to bare the next Mikaelson heir. But I never wanted Hope to live the life I lived, as a slave. So that's why I tried my best to protect Amy back then, I didn't want her to feel the way I did."
I tried my best not to cry, but it wasn't simple. I never thought that I would get these answers at all.
"Even though Dahlia knew this, she tried everything in her power to control me, wishing that my future children would be enough, even though I made sure she would never have the satisfaction of having my children for that." Freya told us. "Until the day she took the last freedom I've ever had. That was the day she made sure I couldn't protect Amy anymore."
Nik started to laugh as he tried to hide the concern he had hanging over me, but I knew he would never just cast me aside.
"It's quite the ordeal, isn't? Why didn't you take Amy away? Why didn't you try to end it yourself? A high enough bridge, a right enough noose. You must have considered it." Nik told her.
"I considered it when I met Amy the first time, but Dahlia never gave me the freedom and I knew that running from her would not have helped. however, I couldn't kill someone I learned to love so easily. I learned later that the spell made me like her, Dahlia. Immortal and vulnerable." Freya said as I whipped my tears at the same time.
"So you see, I am like you, a creature of great power. Cursed for all eternity,"
Nik could sense that at some point, I would try to move away from him. He placed me on top of his lap. I was conflicted, I didn't know what to believe anymore.
Third person p.o.v
Marcel needed to get through to Vincent as soon as possible, and there's only one person that may be able to do it. So, he called Cami. Not that Cami wanted to see him, but she decided to help as much as she could.
She tried to calm her nerves with a few drinks as Marcel came into the room.
"Cami, if you don't want to do this…" Marcel started to say.
"Of course I don't want to do this. He tried to kill me." Cami almost spat at him.
"Not this guy. Vincent Griffith is just another victim." Marcel tried to tell her.
"Yes, but as of yesterday, he was still Finn. Finn who lied, used me, who tried to waste me from my own body and now we're just going to hang out?" Cami started to freak out and had to calm herself.
"I'll do it, but I'll need a few drinks first."
"Bring him in." Marcel called to his minions and a very distraught Vincent came through the doors.
"What is this, Marcel? You're dragging me from one place to another without telling me what's going on!"
"And here I thought a change of scenery would do you some good and brighten your mood. Maybe it's me. So how about I give you a chance to talk to my friend here." Marcel said, gesturing to Cami.
"This isn't the angry mother, is it?" Vincent asked quietly, afraid of facing the wrath of a mother.
"No, even I aren't that evil. Now, you behave, or I won't." Marcel told him without blinking. "I'll be right outside."
Marcel let the two of them talk in private and walked out. Cami thought of every other places she wanted to be right now.
Amy's p.o.v
I wasn't sure how to react to everything Freya just told me. I wasn't even sure that she told me the truth about what happened back then.
I walked up to Hope's nursery after some time, and found her awake in her bed.
"Well, well. Look who's awake. Did you have a nice nap, sweetie?" I asked her, almost as if I waited for her to answer in some way.
Hope smiled at me and it made me laugh.
"Come here, sweetheart." I said and scooped her up. "Time for your diaper change."
I loved these little moments with her. When it was just her and I. Hope was being silly, kicking her feet all over the place, making it hard for me to put her clothes back on and it made me laugh.
"Are you being silly?" I asked in a cooing voice. "Is my little girl being silly?"
I tickled her belly, making her scream with laughter. I kissed her all over repeatedly and it made her laugh even louder.
"Well, it's always nice to see such great mother/daughter bond. I for once never experienced it." I heard a voice behind me say. I turned around, only to find Freya standing there.
"What are you doing here, Freya?" I asked as I picked my daughter up.
"Coming to see you and to tell how sorry I am about leaving back then. I didn't have much choice in the matter. With Dahlia following me and wanting you to be the one to help her live and her putting me in that cottage without me managing to do anything about it." Freya told me.
"You can tell you're sorry all you want, but it won't change anything. You lied to me about who you are. I never lied to you about anything." I told her, clearly hurt.
"I know, but I did it to keep you safe." Freya argued and stepped closer. Hope didn't like it at started wailing and the light bulbs popped.
"What's wrong with her?" Freya asked worriedly.
"She doesn't know you and she picks up on my feelings and because she's so small, she can't control it." I said angrily.
"I didn't mean to scare her." Freya said a little ashamed.
"Well, you didn't mean for a lot of things to happen, did you?" I snapped back at her. I could tell that I was hurting her feelings but I was so angry with her.
I walked past her, brushing a little against her. Freya gasped, sensing something but I didn't want to stop to figure it out.
From downstairs, I could hear Rebekah coming through the gates after being missing for the last few hours. I took Hope with me, thinking that it would be good for Rebekah to have Hope around her.
When Rebekah saw me, she instantly calmed down a little. She reached out for Hope and I let her take her. I watched as Rebekah rocked her niece from side to side, trying to get a grip on the situation.
"What happened to you, Rebekah?" I asked worriedly.
"It was that bitch, Eva. The nasty little cow inside me is trying to bust her way out." Rebekah said angrily.
"Freya is still down stairs. Maybe…" Elijah started to say but Nik exploded even before I did.
"Have you lost your mind? Tell me we're not considering open our sister's head to someone we barely know." Nik told them and I couldn't agree more.
"Nik, for God's sake, she's our sister!" Rebekah exclaimed. "I've known since the cottage."
"An act known to secure your trust. Amy here knew her before, she sure as hell does not trust her. Maybe she's here to strike when we're at our most vulnerable. No, we have no way of knowing if she's telling the truth."
"Niklaus, Amy… I understand your concern. But we cannot not help our sister, Hope's aunt." Elijah tried to reason with us.
"Either we let Rebekah suffer, or we leave it into the hands of someone I believe to be our blood. Right now, I'm willing to give her the benefit of doubt to our family. I am willing to let Freya help Rebekah." When Elijah said those words, I wanted to kick his ass. I didn't want to do this. I didn't want to trust her. I looked over at Nik and he mirrored my suspicions.
"It seems like the way to go right now." Elijah told me and I lost my patience.
"Fine! Do whatever you want. See if I care." I growled before taking my daughter out of Rebekah's arms.
"Amy, don't act like this." Rebekah pleaded but I didn't even answer her. My hormones were all over the place and there was no talking to me at this point.
Third person p.o.v
After the argument Hayley had with Klaus and her younger sister, she agreed to go out to the Bayou and give Amy the space she needed. Hayley couldn't handle the jealousy she felt when she looked at Hope. She had started to hate that Amy turned her into a Hybrid, if she hadn't done that, she could've had kids of her own, now, she would never be able to and it's all Amy's fault.
Hayley walked out of the cabin, watching how Aiden and Jackson practiced combat. It was nice to see the pack working this hard to become even better, then maybe Hope could be even safer with them and she could take her away from the Mikaelson's. They didn't deserve her.
Hayley could that the practice started to get heated and it got a little out of hand when Aiden took a bite out of Jackson's arm.
"What the hell?" Jackson exclaimed.
"You let yourself wide open."
"It was your idea to come out here and spar. I'm doing this for you." Jackson told him.
"Oh, for me? You're the one leading a pack of super-wolves. How long before they don't take orders from you anymore? Because the only way you're staying alpha is if you are the strongest." Aiden hissed at him.
Hayley just rolled her eyes to the both of them.
"Are you done with the pissing contest? Because you both know, I could easily kick both of your asses." She said before going back inside.
A little while later, Hayley decided to help her husband to be even stronger and spar with him. She could tell that none of them was putting everything into it. They both have too much on their minds.
"Are you still thinking about what Aiden said?" Hayley asked him.
"He is just trying to help. Being Alpha is an honor. It's what you have to earn every day… the pack is changing. We're going to face some challenges. I just want them to know that I'm here to lead for them, that I put them first." Jackson answered with a heavy heart.
"The pack loves you, Jack. You just have to remind them of that." Hayley told him. "Buy them a round of beers, turn on that Bayou charm. It worked on me."
"What about our other problem?" Jackson asked.
"You mean our evil landlord and his wife?"
"Klaus actually looks at us as his personal army. I don't trust him." Jackson told her.
"I can handle Klaus. We're a team, right? You and I united the pack together. We no longer have to go through this alone. We know what we want." Hayley answered, linking their hands together.
"And what about you? Do you know what you want?" Jackson asked. "I know what you said to Amy about the fact that Hope would be better off without them. Do you really mean that?"
"Amy has gotten everything in this life. A loving family while she was growing up, the man of her dreams without even trying, she got the chance to me a mother on a loophole that shouldn't even be possible." Hayley exclaimed.
"What are you getting at?" Jackson asked suspiciously.
"I getting at the fact that in some way, I will take Hope away from the Mikaelson's and bring her here… where she's supposed to be. We could raise her as our own." Hayley answered him and she could see the sparkle in her eyes. At the end of it all; The would be granted with a daughter.
Back at Marcel's apartment, Vincent decided to finally speak to Camille, to figure out why he had missed eight months of his life.
"I woke up last night, I didn't know where I was or how long I have been there, let alone that I had lost eight months of my life. Marcel said that the guy who possessed me, this Finn, he made a lot of enemies. What did he do?" Vincent asked Cami.
"He terrorized the city, he threatened and manipulated his enemies, tried to steal an innocent child, and execute his own twin brother." Cami answered him.
"Mr. Griffith. Vincent. What you experienced, was a violation of a profoundly, personal nature and whatever you're feeling, I am here to listen."
"That's just it. What do I say? What do I say to the mother that almost lost her child because of what my body did to her? Am I supposed to feel bad for the people that I've hurt? Am I supposed to feel guilty for this man I killed?" Vincent asked, freaking out for sure, tossing the table across the room.
"I'm sorry."
"Hey… It's ok. You're going to be ok." Cami tried to calm him down.
"Did he… Did I hurt you?" Vincent asked.
Cami didn't want to answer to that, but tried to talk to him in a different angle.
"Listen to me; you didn't do anything. And whatever else that may have happened the only thing you could do now is move on." Cami told him carefully and Vincent only nodded to get Camille off his back a little.
Amy's p.o.v
When I left the living room, leaving Nik, Elijah and Rebekah behind; I knew that my reaction was over the line.
I didn't want to feel like this but it was the only way to do it.
I tried my best to not think about everything Freya told me, but it wasn't easy.
I stood in my bedroom with my baby girl, not knowing that Freya was there. Hope cried her eyes out, knowing how upset I was. How was I going to bring another child into the world?
"You know… I would tell you that everything will be ok with Hope, but now, I'm not so sure." Freya told me as I turned around to face her.
"What do you want from me, Rey? What have I ever done to you?" I asked her.
"You haven't done anything to me, but I know something nobody else know." Freya told me.
"And what is that?"
You're pregnant again…" Freya told me and I froze. How was it possible that she knew this?
"How did you know that?" I asked her worriedly.
"I can tell by the way you're composing yourself. The way you move with magic. How long are you going to keep this a secret?" Freya asked me.
"As long as it takes!" I shot back, trying to control my emotions. Freya only gave me a smile and a reassuring look. She looked at me with her amazing blue eyes.
"Please don't tell them." I asked pleadingly.
Freya only looked at me but she understood my feelings.
"I promise I won't tell my siblings about this." Freya told me and I knew deep in my heart. She told me the truth.
Freya kissed my cheek before returning down stairs.
I was about to go too, when Nik appeared in my sight. I wanted to get all crazy but I didn't.
"What do you want, Nik?" I asked him.
"I want to know why you've been a mess lately." He answered as he kissed my neck lovingly. I wanted to disappear.
"Nik… this is not the time for this." I said with a low voice. "We have a lot to do today."
"What did you and Freya talk about in here? I couldn't listen in on the conversation." Nik told me and that set me off.
"So you're listening to my conversations now, is that it? I can't have any privacy?" I blew up in his face.
"See, this is what I'm talking about. You're acting crazy, you've been like this the last few days and you're talking to someone behind closed doors, someone, I might add, you don't trust, so yes. I'll listen to conversations, especially under my own roof!" Nik hissed at me and that stunned me. Did he still think of our home as his? I was too angry to even think about that for the moment and exploded for sure.
"Fine! If that's the way you want it, then I could just move out, so I'm not under YOUR roof anymore." I spat at him, overreacting worse by the second. I grabbed Hope and started to make way for the door.
"Wait!" Nik called after me.
"Not a chance in hell!" I growled without turning around but it didn't take long for him to catch up with me.
"Amy. I'm sorry, ok? I didn't mean for it to come out like that." Nik pleaded.
"Yes, you did. You've always seen it as your home, not ours." I said at the verge of tears. I hated that I was so emotional. Being a Hybrid made your emotions heightened anyway and on top of that, pregnancy hormones. Oh, it would be fun and long months ahead for the Mikaelson's.
"And now you're crying. I thought you had adjusted to your heightened emotions by now." Nik told me with a sigh as I placed Hope in her stroller.
"That's not what you say to your wife when she's already upset!" I said and cried even harder. Nik sighed again and wrapped his arms around me.
"I know and I'm sorry, Amy." Nik answered as I buried my face into his chest.
"No, I'm the one who's sorry. I don't know what's wrong with me lately. I think all that's happening lately is finally catching up to me." I told him and I hated that I lied to him. But this was not the time to tell him about this. I did not want to tell him just after a fight, in front of our daughter I might ad.
"We are going to fix everything. Dahlia will not take our daughter away." Nik tried to reassure me.
"Then we may don't have any other choice but to work with Freya." I said in defeat, looking up at my husband.
"I don't like this, Amy. You know I don't trust easily. Except with you that is. I never had that issue with you… You just wormed your way into my heart from the very first slap." Nik told me and suddenly I felt embarrassed.
"Oh God!" I exclaimed. "I totally forgot about that. It seems so long ago. A completely different life. Do you ever miss it, the way we were before?" Nik grabbed my hand and kissed it.
"Do I miss that we had lesser drama back then, yes. But I am much more satisfied with where we are now. Married, in love and parents to the most special girl in the world." Nik said and we looked down at our daughter.
"She's truly one of a kind." When Nik said that, I felt a pang in my heart. She wasn't one of a kind anymore. Her unborn brother or sister was what I expected to be exactly as Hope. However, I was still afraid to tell him, so I did the only thing I could think of and kissed him passionately.
"I love you." I whispered, just because I felt the need to.
"I love you too, Little wolf." Nik replied before kissing me again. Hope made noises to let us know that we wouldn't forget her.
"I love you too, littlest wolf. More than anything, but don't tell your mother that." Nik said before tickling her tummy lightly, making Hope giggle like crazy. We needed a moment like this. Because both Nik and I knew that when we stepped back inside, we had to be in the same room as Freya, something we didn't want at all and that made Nik grumpy for sure.
Rebekah sat in the living room, nervous and afraid. Unlike me, she trusted Freya, but she didn't know Freya like I did. I wanted to be supportive and touched her shoulder. She grasped my hand tightly. This was hard for her he was losing herself somehow.
Nik did as expected; he sat down at the bar, grabbed a drink and pouted for himself in the corner.
I sat down with Hope on her carpet, intent on being close to her, and spending some quality time with her.
Elijah brought Freya with him and she seemed happy to see Rebekah again.
"Rebekah. Good to see you again." Freya said and grabbed a hold of her hands.
"And you, but I wished it was under better circumstances." Rebekah replied.
"You needn't worry. Elijah explained the problem. I could help." Freya assured her.
"Rather confident, aren't we?" Nik grumbled from his corner.
"The spirit of the host's body is powerful, but I can cast a spell, put you in a deep sleep and then suppress this other essence. You'll be just fine." Freya said, choosing to ignore Nik's comment.
"Lovely. When do we start?" Rebekah asked eagerly.
"You've got to be kidding me. She spout of some magical diagnosis, and we're all supposed to applaud?" Nik exclaimed and it made me roll my eyes.
"Nik, she's trying to help." Rebekah argued. I tried my best to stay out of the conversation and focus on our daughter, who for some reason wanted to touch my belly.
"Yes, but for the sake of keeping our options open, why not write down your spells? That way we can have, the spell checked by a neutral partial third party, say Davina. She'd love to prove me wrong." Nik told them and that part was actually true.
"I doubt she would understand my magic. Let alone have the power to execute it." Freya told him with certainty.
"Oh, so you're our only hope then? Seems rather convenient, doesn't it?" Nik spat back at her.
"I knew you had difficulty trusting people, Niklaus. You're reputation proceeds you. But if we are to face Dahlia together, you will have to trust me. Given the peril that Rebekah now faces, are you truly incapable to giving me even a chance to prove myself?" Freya asked but Nik was stubborn and refused to answer.
"For all of you, besides Amy, I am an outsider. But I have dreamed of you all for a thousand years." Freya told us.
"Elijah, when you were in Esther's womb, she would ask me to sing to you. I would feel her belly as I did. How you would kick. She would say it was as if Thor himself had raised his hammer…"
"And summoned thunder and lightning." Elijah continued. "Our mother rarely mentioned you. But when she did, she would say how excited you were to finally see me."
"All I ever wished for was to have siblings, brothers and sisters. But between Esther and Dahlia, that wish was taken. I was ruined by those who raised me. If nothing else, we'll all have that in common. There's nothing that can replace what's been taken from us, but I hope we can make it better." Freya said, looking mostly at me with a hint of a smile. I couldn't help but smile a little back at her.
"All you have to do, is trust me."
Without warning, Nik sped forward and broke Freya's neck. In front of Hope, that ticked me off.
"Well, that's enough of that, don't you think?" Nik said, dropping her to the floor. "Right, now we can have a proper family meeting."
I got up from the floor with Hope. I was beyond angry for what he did but I didn't want to blow up on him again after what happened before.
Without a word, I left the sibling to put Hope in her crib in the nursery. She seemed unfazed by what happened but I didn't like killing in her presence.
"Mommy loves you baby." I whispered before leaving her room. I stomped back into the living room, angry as hell. Nik could sense how angry I was and never had I seen the Original hybrid cringe.
"Don't ever under ANY circumstances kill in front of your daughter. If you ever do that again, I will kick your ass into next year, you got that?" I yelled at him and none of the Mikaelson's dared to speak at first but then Rebekah's limbs started to work. Nik was actually too ashamed to even look at me.
"Was that absolutely necessary?" Rebekah asked him.
"Oh please, she was insufferable." Nik said, still too ashamed to look at me.
"That's ridiculous, even for you." Elijah argued.
"You've only just met her. Let's not get sentimental, besides, if she was telling the truth being immortal, she'll awaken shortly. If she was lying; good riddance." Nik said smugly.
"Yes, if she wakes, she's willing to help us with no hesitation." Elijah answered sarcastically.
"She played you both, just like she played Amy a few years back. Can you not see that?" Nik argued back. "She gives you a sad story that as a small child, she's taken by an evil witch and you both fell for her story without even blinking, to mend what's broken."
"How can you be so certain?" Rebekah asked him.
"Simple. It's exactly what I would've done." Nik said and this was the side of him I didn't like so much. Why was he always so different around me? Is this something that Dahlia did? Did she make us fall in love? It kind of made me sad to think about.
"My only question now is what was in it for her."
"Whatever it was, she's in no position to tell us now." Elijah told him.
"Then we should try Marcel. Perhaps he had luck on his end." Rebekah suggested. "Surely he's put in a better effort."
Rebekah left after that and Elijah decided to follow.
"You know I'm right, Elijah. We can't have an alliance with someone we can't trust." Nik told his older brother.
"You don't trust her and that is your choice. I only hope that choice comes from a place of reason, not fear." Elijah told him and I knew that hit home.
He looked at me for some sort of comfort but what he got was a narrow stare from me.
I moved away out to the balcony for some air. I didn't have the energy to argue anymore. Today's already been a rollercoaster, I didn't need more ups and downs.
"I apologize for killing Freya in front of Hope." He said quietly. I decided to give him the silent treatment. But you know me, I can't let this go.
"Never do that again, Nik. That's our daughter, she shouldn't have to experience things like that. She's not even a year old." I told him without looking at him.
"I know, sweetheart." Nik said softly and kissed my cheek. "I will never do it again, I promise."
"I have something I need to tell you, Nik. Something very important. It has something to do with what I talked to Freya about earlier." I started to say.
"Just tell me, luv." Nik said quickly.
"No, not in front Freya's dead body. I will tell you later." I told him.
I could tell that Nik was wondering what I could possibly have to tell him and I knew that it would change everything forever.
"I have to go deal with some things but I will be back later. Are you ok with Hope by yourself once again?" I asked him.
"Yes. That's fine." Nik told me and I just smile.
"I'll be back before Freya wakes up." I said before heading for the door.
"Hey! I love you, you know." Nik called after me.
"Yeah. I know you do." I replied with a smile.
I figured that I had to give Nik some kind of proof about me being pregnant again, so I decided to compel myself to a late night ultrasound. It had to happen sometime around New Year's, which meant I would be far enough along for it to show on a scan.
On my way there, I fed on some creeps that deserved to die, just so I could ease down the worst hunger I have felt all day. Like I've said before; Call me Dexter Morgan.
Third person p.o.v
Klaus knew he promised Amy that he would wait for her to return, but he decided that he would rather have Freya away from his home, no… His and Amy's home. So he took Hope with him to the place he knew Freya lived.
It was one thing still bothering him, though. He still couldn't figure out why Amy was being so cryptic about what she had to tell him. She's been behaving strangely lately, and he hoped that she wasn't too tired of him and this life that she would just give up and leave. Klaus looked into the stroller to see his sleeping daughter. If Amy had enough, she would for sure take Hope and run, something he hoped she never do.
Right in that moment, Freya woke up, disoriented.
"Ah, you're awake. Clearly your restorative powers are not known for their speed." Klaus said to mock her.
"How dare you lay your hands on me?" Freya hissed at him.
"Immortality is a bold play. I had to make sure you were telling the truth." Klaus replied.
"Why did you bring me here?" She asked him.
"I couldn't very well have you stay at my home. That honor is something I reserve for those I consider family." Klaus answered her with a smirk.
"So you refuse to accept me as your sister?" Freya stated.
"Well, you had a lovely audition, but you just didn't seem to fit in. And let's face it; Amy would have had a cow if I'd let you stay. You really messed that up on your own." Klaus said amused.
"I do think Elijah and Rebekah thought otherwise." Freya told him.
"Yes, you managed to convince with your teary-eyed stories. However, I suspect that you're not completely honest and forthcoming. The truth is; Elijah and Rebekah can be a bit naïve when it comes to family relation. Case in point; Their unending faith in me. All though, thatcould also have something to do with Amy. I repay their loyalty by guarding them against treachery they cannot see. And I sense that you are treacherous indeed. You wish to worm your way into our family and I want to know why. So, sister. I am going to give you one last chance to tell the full truth. I suggest you don't muck it up." Klaus told her.
"You want to know why I approached Amy back then and why I hate Dahlia so much. It goes back to a man. His name was Mathias. We knew each other for one perfect year, in the fourteen hundreds. I loved him more than my own life and Dahlia let me love him." Freya told him.
"Of course. She wanted you to bare her another firstborn." Klaus stated.
"I broke my vow and gave into love and that lead to the darkest moment of my life. The day when I tried to steal from Dahlia that which she wanted the most."
"And what was that?" Klaus asked as he observed that Hope stirred a little.
"My son. Mathias only wanted our child to be born free. For that, Dahlia cursed him to death. I knew I'd never be free of her, that my child would be born a slave. To spare us both from the life I've known, I took a bottle of Dahlia's strongest poison."
Klaus could relate to that feeling.
"I wanted to die. Only death could finally give me the release I longed for. But Dahlia knew that my death was never an option. That was the day that I learned; I could never die. It was Dahlia who made me do what I did. She turned me into a monster and I will destroy her for it. As for Amy; I didn't want her to go through this. I didn't want her to experience the loss I experienced all those years ago. It would've destroyed her and you and I both know, that almost happened. With her even killing Hope's own grandfather to protect her. So tell me, brother; Is that the truth you wanted to hear?" Freya asked him with tears streaming down her face.
"Whether I believe you or not doesn't matter. You told that tale in order to gather my sympathy, thinking that a child in danger would bond us. But I will not be manipulated." Klaus hissed at his supposed sister.
"Whatever you choose, one final truth remains; Dahlia is coming for us. With me, you have a chance to defeat her. Without me, she will turn that precious little girl into her slave." Freya said, gesturing towards Hope.
"She will suffer as I and she will never know you or her mother. Dahlia will destroy you."
"Are you quite finished? If there's going to be an alliance between us, it will be on my designs. And if you ever try to control me again, sister… you will spend the rest of your immortal life regretting it." Klaus hissed.
"Then leave. I already have Rebekah and Elijah's trust and I'm not going anywhere. But if I were you, brother… I'd rethink my alliances as I go forward and maybe ask myself what Amy could possibly could hide from you right at this moment." Freya hissed at him before walking away.
Klaus got something to think about, and it made him think about what Amy had said earlier to him about wanting to tell him something. He would ask her again when he came home and he wouldn't take no for an answer. He was intent on finding it out… tonight.
Amy's p.o.v
"And there's your baby."
I looked at the screen in front of me. I know Davina confirmed the pregnancy and I could now hear the heartbeat but I couldn't quite believe it before I saw it with my own two eyes on the monitor.
"Wow… that's something." I said astound.
"I take it it's not planned." The doctor stated more than asked.
"Yeah, you could say that. It was never in the cards for me." I answered her.
"So this is your first then?"
"Oh, no. My husband and I have a daughter at home. She's turning one in a few months but it was a difficult birth and I was told it was impossible for me to conceive again."
"Well then, sometimes nature just takes it's own mysterious ways." The doctor said with a smile. Oh, if she only knew.
The doctor gave me a sonogram of the little bugger and she confirmed that I was about 6-7 weeks along, which means I was literary a; ho, ho, ho at Christmas as Jeremy would say. Oh god, Jeremy! How would he cope with being an uncle again?
I walked home in a slow pace, thinking about my little bugger. I had a feeling that this time, it would be a boy. I had the same feeling about Hope being a girl. On my way home, I changed my mind 30,000 times about having the baby or not having the baby. My mind went back and forth; about how crazy I was, thinking about bringing another child to our world, filled with threats everywhere. Would it be safe? But then again; how wonderful it would be for Hope to have a sibling. I could just see her being overprotective and being the new baby's best friend.
When it comes to Nik… he will either be happy, or he will have a stroke, or… freak out. I just hope he doesn't tell me to kill it.
As I walked through the gates at home, I was beyond nervous. It felt more as if I was going to confess to my parents that I did something wrong, than I was telling my husband that he would be a father again. As I neared the backyard, I could hear someone shouting to each other and I understood that it was Hayley and Nik. I ran forward, to hear the end of the conversation.
"There's only two people that I trust when it comes to my child's safety and that would be me and my wife!" Nik yelled.
"Klaus, listen to me…" Hayley began to say as I stepped forward.
"You need to leave, Hayley." I said with a low and dangerous voice.
"Amy…"
"Don't Amy me. I appreciate that the pack is willing to protect my daughter but I don't want you anywhere near my daughter, not after you threatened to take her away and killing me. Now go!" I ordered as I felt my eyes starting to change. Hayley didn't want to start a fight with me right now, and left in a hurry.
"I hate that we have to have her around to keep Hope safe." I growled as Nik gave me a glass of Bourbon. I shook my head at it. I couldn't drink now.
"So… Freya is home, safely. She mentioned something about your conversation earlier tonight and it got me thinking." Nik started to say.
"About what?" I asked with a sigh.
"About the thing you told me you wanted to tell me, and that you wanted to be alone. Well, now's your chance. We are alone, Hope is asleep for the night and there's nothing that's stopping us."
I knew I had to tell him now. It was no going back. He needed to know.
"Do you remember around Christmas and New Year's, when we were so excited to finally be back with Hope and the night we got into a fight and made up…" I asked him.
"Yes, I remember but I don't see how that's relevant?" Nik said impatiently.
"You remember that we were in an early honeymoon state and that we couldn't get enough of each other?"
Nik did not have the patience for this at all.
"Get to the point, sweetheart." He said slowly.
"I know that once again that this should be impossible and at the worst time ever and it should've never happened. But it did and I don't know what to do, I'm scared shitless."
"Amy, I swear to god, if you're telling me that you've cheated on me, I will rip out your heart…" Nik said started to work himself up.
"No! I would never cheat on you, you know that." I exclaimed.
"Then what? What on earth could be impossible, if you haven't cheated on me?" Nik hissed and I'm starting to get pissed off.
"You know when I asked you earlier about if you ever thought about having another kid? And that you said that you honestly would not handle being a father again?" I said getting into his face. I took out the sonogram picture and slammed it into his chest.
"Well congratulations, Niklaus Mikaelson. You're going to be a father again, due in the fall." I practically yelled at him.
Nik just stood there, looking at me with huge eyes, as if he didn't know what he just heard me say.
"What?" He asked with a hoarse voice.
"We're having another baby." I whispered. Nik glanced down at my belly listening intently to the sound of the beating of a little heart within me. He could finally hear it loud and clear. His expression changed drastically. For what felt like forever, Nik just stood there, not saying anything.
"Say something, please." I pleaded with tears in my eyes. Nik looked at me again with tears on his own. Just as he was about to say something, he changed his mind and walked away.
He walked away from me yet again, just like last time. I tried to yell after him but he wouldn't listen. I felt my insides turn violently and I was trying to breathe through my sobs. Out of nowhere, I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around to see no other than Kol.
"Did you hear that?" I asked in between sobs.
"I did indeed, darling." He said softly.
"Oh, Kol… I don't know what to do." I sobbed as I collapsed in his arms. This was not the way I wanted my husband to react to the fact that there was another Mikaelson on the way. Another mix of me and him. Right now, I was glad that Kol was here.
I needed my friend in the absence of my husband.
Wow... So, a lot happened in this chapter. Did you see the pregnancy coming? I bet most of you did. if not: Surprise!
I know that's it is a cliche, but I have plans for the baby later on. What did you think about Klaus' reaction? Is that something he would do?
Please let me know what you thought of the update!
Until next time xD

*SPARKELS77: Thank you so much!
*Asma20: Yes, I know! How dare she? I have it all planned out. It will be heavy.
*adela: I'm so glad you liked it!
*grapejuice101: It felt like everything happened in this chapter... and thank you so much for all your help! you've made things so much easier for me.
*Cleo9427: aaaaw! Thank you! I have my plans for season 3 and I hope it will be wonderful!
*kineret: Thank you! You were right about the pregnancy but not the right person though... but still a good guess!
*LMarie99: Hahaha! I's so nice to see someone really dives head first into the story! I feel your emotions... :D
*-Lisa-Anne-X: That's a good question. I don't know really. I thought about that at first but decided not too. Amy is only half-crescent wolf, so it wouldn't affect her, not now as she's pregnant anyway... I need to figure out something else to bring Hayley out of her wolf-form.
*QueenLittleWolf: Thank you so much! Did the thing Davina wanted to tell Amy surprise you?
*Megan: Thank you! It's scary how much we think alike. I'm not sure what to do with the whole Hayley or Jackson - death thingy. But I'll figure it out.. I can't wait for Aurora and Amy to meet!
