Away Mission To Terra Beta

Part 112 (Fallout)

Amanda was grateful that the day was over. She was exhausted. She hated that she felt so weak. She was a MACO and she should be able to do better.

Soval came over to his bond-mate. She seemed dejected. "What troubles thee?"

Amanda looked up at Soval. "There was so much destruction. So much evil. How could one intelligent species do that to an other?"

Soval saw tears falling from his mate. She was so sensitive to the suffering of others. He sensed she needed his support. He wondered how to give her comfort. He was at a lose. He had no idea how to help her deal with her emotional pain. Humans could not suppress it as Vulcan's did.

Amanda rose and went to him. She needed his power. She wanted to feel alive after seeing such cruelty and death. She wrapped her arms around him and inhaled. He smelled clean and inviting. Peace began to come over her.

Shocked Soval found his arms surrounding her. Was this all she needed to be held?

"I need more form you. Soval make me feel alive."

He looked down confused. At least he was until her lips touched his. Then her intention was clear. Soval found he could not resist her need. Soon he was laying her across their bed. Sometimes even humans illogic was logical in its own way.

Amanda laughed at his thoughts. Who would have thought a bond could be so much fun. She looked forward to teaching Soval all about human Logic.

Jonathan come to bed. You are exhausted Beloved.

Just a few more minutes. I have to go over these figures.

T'Pol could feel her mates exhaustion and it beat at her. She rose and went to his side removing the padd from his hands. "Come to bed. I need to be with you. You have a duty to see to my needs that can wait. We will work on in the morning when we are both rested. It is not logical to work when one can not think clearly."

Jonathan felt her pull him to his feet. He was no match for her Vulcan strength and he found he did not really want to resist anyway. He suddenly pulled her to him. Hugging her tightly. "I love you T'Pol I could not have borne losing you. Oh God I was so afraid for you today."

T'Pol held her beloved as he wept for the lost people of this world and the evil that they had seen. Jonathan was a strong man but he had seen so much death and destruction he needed to grieve. She held him as he let her see his agony. "We protected this world Jonathan. While some were lost we saved the rest. We did all we could and we will help them be safe in the future. Have faith."

He nodded and felt her fingers working on the nero -pressure points on his back. He began to relax and soon the pain and anger were replaced with feelings of desire and need. He knew that had been her intention and he was grateful as she lead him to bed.

Marta watched as The colonel moved from man to woman to check on his peoples condition. He was clearly disturbed by the carnage. He was angry she could see it in his movements. What ever she had thought of him before he came through today.

Donna Theresa watched the colonel. What ever his past sins…. He had saved the people today. He had fought with courage and honor. She could now forgive him. Even if he had been… No she had to let her anger and rage go. Her father was dead. He would want her to work for the people. If today had changed Montoya she would give him a chance and she would find it in her to forgive his crimes. The Pueblo would need him. She went to Marta.

"Go to him. He needs you. I know you have fallen in love. Maybe it is time to begin again. We all got a second chance today. So I will let the past go. Maybe…If he has you at his side he will be more likely to be the honorable man he was today."

Marta hugged her friend and nodded. "I will do all I can to help him be a good man. I swear it."

"I know." Theresa said sadly. "Be happy Marta." She turned and walked to Robert who took her into his arms.

Marta watched her and then ran to her loves side. She just hoped he would not reject her.
