Caroline - "If you stay quiet no one will know."
Requested by justanotherfiveminutes.
Caroline shoved him into the wall beneath the high school bleachers before leaning into him as her lips met his in a hurried kiss. Her hands found their way under his top to stroke his abdomen, which jumped and clenched under her touch.
"I never took you for an exhibitionist, love," Klaus growled in a mix of lust and amusement, trailing his own hands down her back until he reach the short skirt of her cheerleading uniform. He had long discovered the short shorts she wore underneath (spankies they were called, apparently), much to his disappointment, but that never stopped his roaming hands as they dipped under the hem of her skirt.
"Shh, stop talking," she mumbled between kisses, gasping delightfully when he squeezed her backside and pulled her tightly into him until his arousal was more than noticeable against the juncture of her legs.
"Someone's in a rush," he chuckled as she began to fumble with the buckle of his belt. His words made her pause, pulling back slightly so she could stare at him straight in the eye with a determined look.
"I only have about ten minutes before someone notices I'm missing," Caroline informed him.
"Right, of course. Guess I'll just have to be quick then, huh?" Klaus quirked his mouth in a semi-smirk and the next thing she knew, he had twirled them around with his extremely quick reflexes to pin her against the cold wall with his body pressed up against hers.
"You're getting to experience one of America's most popular high school tradition, you know," she managed to get out, words strangled as he pressed a thigh between her legs to exert the right amount of pressure in all the right places. Her hands paused on his hips with a low groan deep in her throat.
"What's that?" he asked, eyes twinkling at her reaction. It took a moment for his question to register in her mind; the heat of his body penetrating through her clothes, skin and into her bones to send tingles through her from head to toe.
"Sex under the bleachers, with the head cheerleader too. You should feel privileged. This is usually reserved for the quarterback," Caroline answered teasingly, trying to get a rise out of him to get him moving quicker.
However, the tables turned instantly on her as he wrapped his arms around her waist to pull her into him until she slid into that place against him where it felt like they were two separate beings who were simply made for one another.
She let out a light gasp, lips parting enough for him to capture them with his own for a heated kiss. Her undead heart began to pick up the pace as she faltered in her breathing until she pulled away to inhale deeply. Her vampire body hadn't caught up to the fact human needs such as breathing were no longer necessarily, and unceremoniously ruined wonderful moments such as right then.
"Right now I simply feel frustrated, and slightly envious of this 'quarterback' you're talking about," Klaus grumbled against the rapid pulse in her neck, human teeth nipping dangerously close to her carotid. His hold on her tightened to the point where she was all but squirming to try and put something space between them.
Lifting her hands to his nape, she urged him away from her collarbone by hooking her fingers into his necklaces and tugging lightly. "Get over it quickly, would you? I'm here, aren't I? With you?" she reiterated, stroking his jaw with her thumbs.
His eyes glazed over the way they normally did when she called him out on his small emotional outbursts, whether they were fueled by jealousy, annoyance or (dare she say it) love. His way of dealing with emotions were unhealthy, but from the examples he had had throughout his thousand years, she couldn't really blame him. However, she saw the slight changes over time where the seconds before his walls came back up got longer and longer. The mask of Klaus the Original Hybrid slipped when they were alone, giving her, and only her, glimpses of who the man underneath was. The man, Klaus, Nik, and Niklaus, who was slowly making her fall for him too.
"Yes, under the bleachers of Mystic Falls High School after a football game for a quickie where anyone could see or hear us," Klaus commented dryly, raising his brows tauntingly with a faux-enthusiastic smile.
"If you stay quiet, no one will know," she replied with a sly smile to counter his, pressing her lips to his softly. "Besides, everyone is already heading to the after party in the woods by Tyler's."
Klaus hummed dejectedly as she pulled back. "Wouldn't want anyone to catch us, now would we?" he said, words sarcastic and tinged with disgruntled coldness.
"Ok, what's with the tone?" Caroline asked, furrowing her brow as she leaned her head against the brick wall so she could look up at him. His face betrayed nothing, not even the annoyance she had picked up in his words or the tension vividly vibrating through his muscles. "Don't you want to do this?"
"I always want to do this. I also always want to do it somewhere where I don't have to rush, be quiet or be secretive," he informed her with a tight smile to hide the rejection she knew he really felt at how their relationship was going. It wasn't the first time they had had the conversation, but it was the first where he hadn't simply brushed it off by adding a teasing quip and a slip of hand in a provocative manner.
"I'll tell them, Klaus, I swear. Just not yet," she assured him sincerely.
"Its been four months, sweetheart," he sighed, raising a hand to twist the tendril of hair that hung by her face around his finger tenderly. Caroline couldn't deny he was the more affectionate one out of the two of them, though it was kept in the darkness of his bedroom or the occasional woodland rendezvous because of her reluctance to make their relationship public. "Is that not enough to be sure of us?"
Laying her hands on his cheeks, she forced him to look towards her, managing to catch his eyes from where they had wandered to where he played with her hair. "I am sure. I just don't want reality to ruin it, that's all. As soon as I tell my friends and my mom, it'll be more about defending our relationship rather than enjoying it," she reasoned.
"I'd rather be defending it than wondering whether its actually real," he countered, tucking her hair behind her ear and offering her a soft, half-hearted smile.
"Klaus," she sighed, a pang of guilt piercing her heart at the rare look of forlorn and hurt in his eyes. Slipping her hands down to his chest, she nodded in defeat and acceptance. "You're right. I'll talk to them, ok? Its almost Spring Break; I'll do it then."
Relief took over his features at her words, and she couldn't keep the bright smile at bay. "I've never done this before, Caroline, but I want all of it. I want all of you," he told her earnestly, a coy smirk forming on his lips as he wrapped his arms around her waist once again.
"You have all of me," Caroline assured him before matching his smirk with a much more confident version and pulling him down to meet her lips. Stepping back, she hit the wall within a single step, causing him to tumble into her so she was pinned between the two. "C'mon, let me show you."
