As annoying as it was to have to admit, their moms had actually been right! By the time the Callie and Arizona had sat up and tried to get out of bed, long unused muscles didn't just ache, they had screamed in protest at the, although enjoyable, thorough work out they had been given earlier that day! Callie had managed to struggle to her feet, but had moaned out loud as her back refused to co-operate and sent arcs of pain through her whole body. Arizona had reached for her hand in sympathy, grimacing a fraction as Callie had tightly gripped down until the pain had eased. "Sorry!" she had whispered guiltily as she softly looked at the concerned blonde.
Just then, Lucia had come walking back into their room, and after momentarily looking at both of them, had softly chastised Callie for standing up on her own. "Didn't we tell you we would be right with you?" she had whispered softly as she placed her arm around her daughter and gave her a quick hug. "Now, can you manage to walk to the bathroom? Barbara has already run your bath and set the jets flowing. Here, hold on tight to me, I'll help." Less than ten minutes after settling Callie into the bubbling haven, Lucia had wheeled Arizona in and carefully helped her into the soothing waters. "Now," she told them both with a smile, "soak in here for a while whilst I go help Babs finish off dinner, then I'll come back and help you into your jimmyjams, but don't relax too much, we have some work to do before bedtime!" She had stood and looked expectantly at both of the younger women. Finally raising her eyebrow she had smirked and asked. "What? No complaints about dignity? Or, I can do it myself? No moaning about lack of privacy? Hmm? Hmm?"
Callie had merely glared at her before whispering. "Hurting"
Lucia had pursed her lips and nodded. "Well, won't say I told you so!"
Callies eye had narrowed a fraction before she'd reached for Arizonas hand and murmured. "But it was worth it. SO, so very worth it!"
They had been left alone in the tub to soak away their aches and pains for nearly 40 minutes before both moms had hurried back in and helped their daughters to dry before pulling them into snug warm pjs. They had helped them into the dining room, then happily sat and chatted as they ate, filling Callie and Arizona in on the adventures their daughter had gone through on her day out with her Grandmas. As the meal finished, and Callie and Arizona were still chuckling over their daughters ability to twist the older women around her little finger, Lucia had surprised them both by quickly standing up and announcing. "Now, to the den! Work to be done ladies!"
And so, here they sat, Callie in the office chair behind their desk and in front of their computer, Arizona to her side, staring at the closed laptop he mom had plonked down in front of her, before both she and Lucia had come back in to the room, carrying the chairs from the dining table, and placed their own laptops down on the desk to! Barbara had suddenly jumped back up and giggled. "Notebook, pen!"
"Make it a big notebook!" Lucia had called "there is a lot to be done!"
"Mom?" Callie asked cautiously
"Well get your computer switched on mija! You too Arizona, time to synchronise!"
Barbara came back into the room and quickly sat down she had brought in a big A4 pad and a couple of clip boards. She ripped several paged out of her pad and clipped them onto the boards, swinging one round to each of the younger ones. "So!" she sighed happily. "Let's start. The nursery!"
"Nursery?" Arizona asked as she scrunched up her face a fraction.
"Babygirl, these little darlin's of yours, "she reached over and patted her daughters tummy, "could be making an appearance in as little as four weeks, and from what Lucia and I can see, you have exactly NOTHING prepared! So….nursery! You'll need cots, unless you expect them to sleep in drawers!"
"Oh my God!" Arizona gasped before turning panic filled blue eyes, and finding equally panic filled brown eyes looking back at her. "We're not ready!"
"I know!" Callie muttered back as she reached to take a shaking hand, "I know! But, it's ok sweetie, it's ok! We will be! Right mom? Barbara? We will be!"
"Sure will Callie honey, that's why we're in here. Think if we all log into the same search tool, we can compare prices and delivery dates on almost everything! Pen and paper to write down lists of stuff not on line, and work out how much to order of things like cot sheets, blankets, onesies!"
"My God!" Arizona muttered again as she shook her head. "So much to do!"
Callie nodded slowly, her grip on her wife tightening a fraction. "Breathe baby, just breathe. We got this, we can do this!"
"Operation Babyspree begins!" Lucia chuckled as she happily spread out her selection of credit and bank cards on the table and clicked on her laptop, chuckling more as Barbara wrote the words on top of the first page of her notepad and underlined it several times

They had been happily shopping for more than three hours, and with surprisingly few disagreements, in fact there had been a lot of laughter, a lot of awwwing and sighing, and a lot of progress! Callie and Arizona had insisted on using their own money to pay for a lot of things, that had been one of the areas of dispute, and Arizona had had to step up to cool things down between her wife and mother in law. But, finally, an agreement had been reached, and everyone was happy!
"Are you sure you wanna use Sofias crib for your little girl when she gets here?" Barbara asked again as she looked at the large selection on the page in front of her
"Yes mom!" Arizona chuckled. "It has been in storage but is well protected. Besides, we have a few more weeks before Callies little princess makes her arrival!"
"Hey!" Callie laughed, "All cos she is from my DNA, doesn't make her any more MY princess than she does yours! I know how much you spoil Sofia cos she looks like me, you're probably gonna be as bad when our new little sweetheart joins us!"
"You're probably right!" Arizona agreed with a slow smile. "She looks too much like you for me to deny her anything, I am so screwed if our babygirl is the same!"
"Language Arizona!" her mother laughed.
"And I'm gonna be screwed if our two little Angels have got even the bare hint of a dimple!" Callie giggled, giggling more as she heard her mother say to Barbara. "Our girls are potty mouths, where did we go wrong?"
Arizona sighed as she looked back at one of the notes on her clipboard. "I can't believe how many cot sheets and towels we have ordered!"
"I know!" Callie smirked, "But, going off memory for when Sofia was a baby….I'm not sure if we have ordered enough!"
"We should buy shares in the local laundrette, may work out cheaper in the long run, cos our washing machine is NEVER going to be off! And we still have little Miss Sofia to wash up after!" the blonde muttered as her eyes scanned down the list of things ordered. "We may need to build an extension to, just to store all this stuff in to!"
Callie glanced at the list, then back at her wife. "Uhm hmm! Oh I hear ya!" She looked again at the list then added quietly. "We may need to go car shopping to, once our little girl gets here! Three child carrier seats might just about fit in the back of my SUV, but what do we do with Sofia? Tie her to the roof rack?"
Arizona giggled at the image but then slowly shook her head. "So….what do we buy instead? A pick up truck, put the kids in the back with the buggies and blankets, tie a tarpaulin over the top when it's raining? Maybe we should just buy a trailer to tow them all in! It's gonna be a mini bus isn't it?"
"I have no idea" Callie whispered, "But it will be a far cry from my T-Bird days! That's gonna be staying stored in the garage for a lot longer than planned!"
"And my Mercedes convertible! I am never gonna get a replacement am I?" Arizona added sadly
"Sucks being a grown up doesn't it!" Lucia said softly as she patted her daughters hand. "But, being a mom? Best thing in the world, right?"
"One of the best!" Callie replied with a small smile
"One?" her mother quirked an eyebrow
Callie looked at Arizona and whispered. "Yeah, one. Being a mother is…is everything. It's everything. But, being a wife, being Arizonas wife, that's, that's my life! My family is my heart, SHE is my soul"
Lucia sniffed slightly and once again patted her daughters hand. "It's getting late" she whispered, "time for bed!"
Both Callie and Arizona nodded, smiling as first Barbara clicked the brake off her daughters wheelchair and headed out, just before Lucia carefully helped her daughter to her feet. They had taken four slow steps towards the hallway when Lucia suddenly stopped and pulled Callie into a tight hug. "I didn't understand" she husked, "I didn't get it. I thought, I thought it was a sin, so it couldn't be real. What you felt, couldn't be real. But, I thank God that he has given me that time, that he has brought me here to see for myself how real your love for Arizona is, how real her love for you is. I thank God I got this chance. And I thank you for letting me into your life again, for being a part of this. To me, to me….your family, is everything"
Callie quietly wiped the tears from her cheeks before giving a soft chuckle as she whispered. "So God only let me get shot so you could get to know Sofia better huh?"
Lucia gently pushed ay her shoulder as she pulled herself free from her daughters arm. "Oh shoosh Calliope!"
"I love you mom!" Callie told her softly, her eyes staring into the identical brown gaze of the mother she had once thought lost to her
"And I love you. You are, braver than you ever believed, stronger than you could ever seem, smarter than you think….and loved, so much more that you will ever know. You are my daughter. You are Calliope Iphegenia Torres, wife….mother….daughter. You. Are. Everything"
Callie smiled and kissed the older womans cheek before reluctantly saying. "I really, really need to sit down soon mom!"
"Of course, foolish me! Come mija. Your Arizona will be waiting for you! Bed. But uh, promise me….sleep mija…no more of this freakay this and freakay that, no need to get your freak on….put it away for tonight and just….."
"Sleep. Yeah. Got it. Thanks ma!" Callie smirked. "Promise you, my freaky side is tucked away for the time being. Truth? Right now? Even if Arizona was to dance the Dance of The Seven Veils or pour chocolate sauce all over her naked body….hmmm…" Callie stopped walking and a gentle smile played on her lips as she tilted her head a fraction. "Oh, uuh, wait, where was I?" she muttered as her mom tightened her hold on her daughters waist
"Veils and chocolate sauce!" her mother whispered as she shook her head and added, "my therapist is gonna be buying a condo by the time I have explained this visit!"
Callie chuckled before playfully nudging her. "As I was saying, even if Arizona did that, I am just gonna lay my head on my pillow and sleep!"
"Even if I did what?" Arizona asked having heard the tail end of the conversation as her mom helped her out of the bathroom and across to her bed
Callie stared at her and let her mind wander, smirking as she licked her lips and raised and eyebrow. "Nuthin!" she drawled
Lucia sniggered as she gently pushed Callie towards the bathroom. "Go clean your teeth," she hissed, "and your mind….BAD girl Calliope!"
"Relax!" Callie told her, I noticed this morning we were out of chocolate sauce!"
Arizonas head shot up, almost colliding with her mothers who had been reaching over to plump up the pillows. "Callie!" she gasped, blushing furiously as Lucia looked at her winked, causing he own mother to chuckle and rub at the blondes shoulder as she said. "We'll put it top of the shopping list….eventually!"
The two women were eventually tucked in to their large bed, neither protesting as both mothers lightly kissed their cheeks and double checked that they were comfy, by the time the two older women had reached the doorway and turned to say goodnight, both Callie and Arizona were tightly wrapped in each others arms, smiles on their faces, and already fast asleep.

Sunday had been a leisurely day. The two dads had arrived bright and early and had immediately taken Sofia to the park. Callie and Arizona had been pleasantly surprised as Barbara and Lucia allowed them to eat a large cooked breakfast before getting washed and dressed. Whilst their daughter was napping, the six adults chatted and looked over the list of baby goodies and essentials still to buy, laughing more as Daniel and Carlos had an in-depth discussion on which was best….blue ducks and pink rabbits, or pink ducks and blue rabbits, by the time they had decided that yellow ducks and white rabbits was the safest option the four women in the room had tears in their eyes from trying to hold back their laughter. "What?" Carlos had asked indignantly, "these things are important!"
"Sure daddy!" Callie had chuckled as she tried to stand and walk to the kitchen. Instantly her dad was standing next to her. "What do you need Princessa, let me get it for you. Sit, sit…!"
Callie sighed as she rested her hand on his shoulder. "I need to switch the kettle on, then I need to head to the little nuns room to make room for the cup of tea I'm gonna make."
"Oh!" her dad pursed his lips and stepped back a fraction. "Well, I'LL make the tea, you uh…you go to the bathroom!"
"Gee, thanks dad, sure you don't wanna do it the other way around?"
Carlos quirked an eyebrow and stood up straight. "You may be all grown up young lady, but you're not too old for a spanking!"
"Tell me about it!" Arizona giggled before stopping to think, blushing furiously as four sets of shocked eyes locked on her and her wifes laughter could be hear echoing down the hallway. "I mean uh, she uh, uhm, respect for uhm, oh….uhm….hmmm"
Barbara was the first to laugh, not just at her daughters embarrassment, but at the sheer look of shock on her husbands face, matched only by the open jawed look of Carlos Torres. "Uhm, Carlos!" she chuckled, "Want me to put the kettle on?"
"No!" he said quickly, turning on his heel and practically running out to the kitchen. "I'll do it!"
"I'll help!" Daniel muttered as he rose and rushed out of the room, blushing himself as he heard his wife laughing.
The afternoon was spent in the garden, Sofia splashing in the pool with her grandparents whilst her moms both dozed in the sun. The evening was take out night, then after Callie and Arizona sat on the edge of their big tub and watched as Sofia was washed down by their moms, they finally got around to the subject of…..baby names. "Ariel!" Sofia had giggled as she splashed her bath water with her feet. "Ooh, Anna! No, no….ELSA!"
"I'm sensing a theme here!" Callie muttered."Sofe….what about our boys?"
"Do I have to have brothers mommy? Can't I just have sisters? I gots better names for sisters!"
"Sorry honey, doesn't work that way! You are getting two brothers, like it or not! But you are getting a sister to! You just, have to wait a little longer for her to join us! So….boys names first baby!" Callie explained with a smile
"Fine!" Sofia said as she stuck out her bottom lip. "If I gotta!" Then she sighed dramatically and crossed her arms across her chest. "But you should know, next time? We do it differently!"
"Next time!" Arizona squeaked, just as Lucia smiled and said "Aw look, when she sulks she looks JUST like Callie!"
"Sven!" Sofia offered.
"You wanna name your brother after a moose?" Lucia gasped
"Reindeer silly!" the little girl scoffed. "Ok then…howzabout Olaf?"
"There is more than ONE Disney film Sofia!" Callie giggled
"Hmmmm" Sofia tapped her chin with her finger before grinning and yelling. "Pongo! We can call one Pongo!"
Callie and Arizona had glanced at each other before the blonde offered lamely. "Guess we should be glad we dodged anything too outlandish?"
"As of tomorrow" her wife said softly, "we lock off the Disney channel and hide away the DVDs!"
After promising they could discuss baby names again tomorrow after school, Sofia finally settled into bed, and was asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. "See, like her mommy!" Lucia had whispered as she softly ruffled the little girls hair before tiptoeing out of her room, and back in to the lounge. The six of them sat and chatted for another hour before Barbara noticed Arizonas eyes were closing. With a small nod at her husband the two of them stood up and bent over to kiss their daughter and daughter in law. "We are going to stay at the hotel tonight, Lucia and Carlos will stay here. Tomorrow, we swap!"
"Mmkay" the blonde muttered, frowning a fraction, "but we have room for all of you, why the hotel?"
Barbara chuckled as she looked first at Daniel, then back at her daughter. "I need to get my alone time, this girls freakay needs to rock!"
"Oh no, God no!" the blonde blushed as Callie choked a fraction on the sip of tea she had just taken
"See you tomorrow!" Barbara sing songed, before shucking her hip a fraction and winking at Arizona as she added, "bit not TOO early!"

Callie and Arizona had gone to bed almost straight after Arizonas parents had left. Lucia had helped Arizona and watched over Callie, but the lazy Sunday had done them both good. So they were both a little surprised when Lucia came bustling into their room very early the next day. "Rise and shine sleepy heads….Arizona has an appointment at the hospital at 9, time to get ready, you both have physio at 11!"
"I have an appointment?" Arizona grumbled as she rubbed sleep out of her eyes and struggled to sit up"
"Mmmf, mmh nnnnn, uuuuuuuuu" was all Callie managed as she rolled back on to her side and pulled the duvet over her head
"I said UP!" Lucia smiled as she slapped at Callie butt which now peeked out of the edge of the covers
"OW!" her daughter yelped, scowling and glaring at her mother as she sat up and scratched at the side of her head
"Thought you like that kinda thing!" Lucia grinned, "now, c'mon…Callie move your tush into the bathroom, showers for you both this morning, you will wanna bath after your physio! I already got Sofia dressed, she is just having her breakfast. Callie, can you manage on you own, the stool is in there!"
"I can manage!" Callie nodded as she slowly stood and reached for one crutch to help her hobble across the room
"I don't remember making an appointment for this morning?" Arizona shook hr head a fraction. "Is it with Bailey?"
"Nope!" Lucia helped her into her wheelchair before pushing her into the bathroom. With a small smile she helped Arizona swing across on to the shower seat. "Room for both of you on here!" she offered quickly as she took down the shower hose and started to run the water, "and we are in a rush, so be good….help each other…just….help….no, uh, funny stuff!"
Arizona grinned and nodded as Callie lowered herself on to the shower stool next to her and took the shower hose from her mom. "We'll b good!" she told her mom, "scouts honour!"
Lucia chuckled. "Baby, you lasted one day in the guides….! Just, hurry up, I'll go finish off Sofia!"
An hour later and the three women and chatty little girl were clambering into Callies SUV. They dropped Sofia off at pre-school before Lucia wheeled Arizona down the familiar hospital corridors, stopping outside examination room before knocking and opening it as they heard a formidable voice call out. "Come in Robbins!" Nicole Herman glanced up as all three women stepped in, "and family!" she finished, walking quickly over to step behind Arizonas chair and push her over the examination table
"I'll uh, wait outside!" Lucia offered quickly as she stepped back out of the room, mouthing ""Good Luck!" as Callie looked over at her
"So, Horn Dog one and Horn Dog two. Your moms rang me yesterday morning, told me the two of you had been doing some non physio planned exercise! They wanted me to check all your libido bouncing hadn't ruffled the little ones in your belly too much….so, slide across Blondie, let's check you over!"
"Is it rude to say I miss Addisons bed side manner when you're about to jab a wand on my belly!" Arizona huffed
"Play nice, or I won't warm the jelly" Nicole smirked, laughing as Arizona hissed when the cold jelly hit her tummy. "Whoops, my bad…..forgot to warm it!"
Callie chuckled as she saw the way her wifes blue eyes narrowed. "Mean Herman!" she husked
"Made me smile!" the tall woman replied with a slight shrug. "Now, shush, let a genius work!"
Less than three minutes later and the smiling doctor was sitting up and looking at her monitor. "Well, your sexcapades haven't hurt these little ones, everything seems just fine! I wanna just check your BP again though Robbins, was a little high last time. And I'm taking some bloods to!"
"Naturally!" Arizona sighed as she automatically started to roll up her sleeve
"Want something to distract you whilst I do all this?" Nicole asked with a twinkle in her eye. "How about you just, listen to this!" And with that, she hit the small switch at the side of the monitor, filling to room with the faint but unmistakable sound of two small heartbeats
Callies hand reached for Arizona as the two looked at each other. "That's our family!" Callie whispered as she felt tears prick at the edge of her eyes. "That's our boys!"
"I know!" Arizona whispered back. "Our boys….OUR boys!" she sniffled as Callie gripped her hand tighter, before Herman moved the monitor closer to them and said softly. "I'm just gonna….leave you tow for a couple of minutes, I'm such a jerk, I forgot to bring a needle in with me!"
Callie gave a small laugh as soon as the door closed behind her. "She really is a jerk!" she chuckled. "There's a whole draw full over there!"
Arizona just looked at her wife and let her smile grow broader. "Come here and kiss me!" she whispered
"Your wish, my command….MOM!"
The two women looked at each other for what seemed forever, before gently leaning in, their lips connecting so gently, so softly. Callie wasn't sure if it was the heartbeat of her sons that echoed around her, or her own heartbeat thudding in her chest as she was suddenly overwhelmed with emotion. Grasping a hand full of blonde curls she slowly pulled Arizonas head back and leant back so she could stare straight into those beautiful blue eyes. "This is our future Arizona" she whispered. "Our family, our life. OUR future. But you, you're my world. Don't ever forget that, don't ever doubt that. I love you, I. LOVE. YOU!"
Arizona reached up and cupped Callies cheek, using her thumb to wipe away an errant tear. "I lived for you Callie. I LIVE for you. Every day. You're my life, my future. My everything. I love you to, so much. So much. We're gonna be happy aren't we?"
Callie smiled as she kissed her cheek. "We are" she whispered back. "Guarantee it!"
"Euch!" Nicole scoffed as she walked back into the room. "Ten minutes with you two is enough to give me diabetes! You should come with a health warning….Caution, sickly sweet love fest overload ahead!"
"Bite me!" Callie muttered as she sat back in her seat, her hand still gripping Arizonas
Herman briefly stopped what she was doing and with a raised eyebrow husked, "Oh that is so Arizonas area of expertise!"
Callie laughed despite not wanting to encourage her. "Just take the bloods and her BP so we can get outta here!"
"What? You got a hot date planned in an on call room!?" Nicole giggled
"Yeah, why, wanna watch?" Callie shot back
"Sounds like fun…but, pass. And, alas, sorry t spoil your fun, but Robbins….this BP? Way too high!"
"But I feel fine!" Arizona stuttered
"Maybe!" Nicole said softly as she rested her hand on the blondes shoulder, "but this isn't even boarder line. I think, for safeties sake, I'm gonna admit you…."
"No, no, please, no. I don't wanna be admitted!" Arizona pleaded
I am going to call Addison, have her come in. Arizona. Listen to me. I know we said 30 weeks, I know that was our first target. But your BP is dangerously high. I think, I think we may have to consider bringing them out earlier …."
"NO! The risks! It's, its too soon!" the blonde cried, her panic filled eyes locking on Callies equally panicked face
"Both of you, look….look at the monitor. Your boys? They are a good size for this far along. You KNOW we have the best Peds team around. And I am a bit of a wizard…with Addison here to, we got you covered. It will be ok. It is JUST a precaution for now, I want to talk to Montgomery before we plan anything. But I want to make sure we don't have any surprises! Let me take care of you Blondie. Trust me, ok? Trust me!"
"Do I have a choice?" Arizona tried to chuckle
"Nope!" the older woman smiled back "I'm going to sort out a room and call that pesky red head. You two sit here, rest. I'll let your mom know what's going on to Torres!"
"Thanks!" Callie muttered before looking back at Arizona and asking softly. "So, how about Hercules and Aladdin for names?"
