A yawn came out of his mouth and he blinked a few times as an attempt to feel more awake. He was waiting outside of the dormitories, having rushed to get ready that morning. He knew Elsa would be up super early, as usual, and he could not risk missing her. As soon as he spotted her coming out, he jogged to her side.

"Morning, Your Highness," he greeted her with a smirk.

"Good morning," Elsa replied nonchalant. One quick look was enough to see that he was impeccably dressed to go out, instead of wearing his uniform, as it would be required on a school day. She kept her steady pace and continued her way down to the cafeteria. "Don't you have somewhere else to be?"

"I wanted to talk to you for a little bit before that," Jack told her. "Where are your friends?"

"Still in our room." She glanced at him with an arched eyebrow. "Probably getting ready to whatever thrilling plans you have for today."

"Are you really sure you're not coming with us?" he asked taking her hand.

Elsa sighed. They had had that conversation several times. Sometimes, when they were alone; other times, in the company of the rest of their friends. Nonetheless, her decision remained adamant. "Jack, I can't," she said tiredly.

"Come on, Elsa." He squeezed her hand pleading for her to reconsider. "Not even the teachers are expecting us to show up for class today." He stopped on his tracks making her stop as well. He waited for her to look him in the eyes to continue, "I know you wanna come with us."

"My main commitment to this school are my grades and my classes." She shook her head. "I have to stay."

Jack sighed and put his free hand inside his jeans pocket to fish out his phone. "I understand your point," he conceded tapping on the screen. "But I don't agree."

"Well, we have different opinions—" she said in the same moment as the fire alarms went off. Her hands immediately went to cover her ears.

"Oh, will you look at that," Jack started at the ceiling feigning disappointment. "Must be a fire drill."

"Come now, Your Highness." He grabbed her hand again and started heading the opposite way.

"We should be going the other way—" she tried to protest.

"You and I know that this isn't just a fire drill, Elsa." Before she could say anything else, he bend over, he put an arm on her back, grabbed her legs with the other arm and started carrying her bridal style out of the building.

"JACK! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?" she screamed feeling her face flushing pink in embarrassment. She held tightly to his clothes scared he could accidentally drop her.

"Shush, Elsa," he reprimanded her with mockery. He nodded nonchalant at the students who stopped to stare at them. "You're making a scene."

"YOU'RE MAKING A SCENE, YOU IDIOT." She slapped him on the chest with a glare. "PUT ME DOWN!"

He ignored her protests and wriggling keeping his poker face on. They left the building and headed in the direction of the parking lot—which he was fairly sure, should be empty at that time of the day, especially with a fire drill going on.

"Frost," Elsa hissed closing her eyes. "You have got five seconds to put me down."

"Only if you promise to come with me."

"Jack…"

He stopped and gently gent so her feet touched the ground. He kept his hands holding her though, just in case she thought about storming out of there, in which case he would have to chase after her. An improbable scenario, but he wasn't taking any chances. "Do it for me." He placed his hands on her neck caressing her jawline. He locked eyes with her, blue meeting blue. "This is one of the last days we get to spend with everyone else." He leaned closer letting their noses touch. He looked legitimate sad at the prospect of not having her with them. "And it won't be the same without you." His arms went around her neck. "Please."

She closed her eyes before burying her face on his shoulder. For a moment, she considered her options. She let out a heavy sigh before giving her resigned reply, "Okay."

He almost let out a triumphant cry at that. Jack pushed her gently by the shoulders. He smiled as he kissed the top of her head. "Thank you."

She moved away from him and grabbed his hand. "Let's go before I change my mind."

Jack obeyed and they made their way to the gates.

"Where exactly are we going?" she asked after a while.

"To the bus stop," he said. He winked at her. "After that, it's a surprise."

She decided she didn't want to know further, on the chance of regretting it before she even had the chance to reach the place they were supposed to spend the day at. As they got closer to their primary destination, she could identify some of her friends waiting there.

"Took you long enough," Astrid said as they finally got to the bus stop.

Hiccup gave her a two fingers salute. "Welcome aboard, Els."

Violet clapped as she stood leaning against the bus stop wooden frame. "Good job, Frost."

Jack bowed flattered as Elsa rolled her eyes. With the corner of her eyes though, she noticed movement behind Andy. She arched her eyebrows surprised. "If I didn't know any better, I would say that my beloved little sister is hiding from my sight," she said, and immediately, Andy stepped away giving her clear view. As she had guesses, Anna, the Student Council girls and her cousin Merida were squeezed together on the bench.

"Uh-oh… Arendelle sisterly drama on the way…" Hiccup mumbled, receiving a punch on the chest from his girlfriend.

"Elsa…" Jack called to reason with her, but she silenced him with a raised finger.

"Surprise!" Anna said standing up. She gave her a weak smile. "We're coming too!"

Elsa crossed her arms as she watched the younger group of girls. "You guys aren't even seniors."

"I invited them," Jack said. She glared at him indignant. "Come on, the girls deserve a little break."

"What were you thinking?" Elsa snapped at him. "They are not allowed to be out!" She rubbed her temples tiredly. "This could end up badly."

"Don't worry, Elsa," Anna reassured her. "We've got everything under control."

The platinum blonde laughed shaking her head. "How so?"

"For starters, we're keeping an eye on you guys as the Student Council," Tinkerbell stated standing up with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Merida isn't in the Student Council."

"My mom signed me a permission," Merida said pulling out a piece of paper from her pocket and waving in her cousin's direction. "I'm supposed to go to the dentist. Mother just doesn't know that my appointment has been cancelled for now."

"And we asked Headmaster North if we could have a little bonding trip," Rapunzel added sharing the burden of reprimanding with their friends. She immediately looked down as Elsa's hard glare landed on her. "And he said it was okay as long as we came back before dinner."

Andy placed a hand on the girl's shoulder. "Elsa, come on, it's not that bad..."

She shook her head. "You have got to be kidding me. How could you possibly have permission for that?"

"About time you learnt that when it comes to our Jack here,"—Hiccup patted Jack on the chest—"doors end up opening for him."

"Seems like it," Elsa mumbled glaring at him. "North must really like you."

"Why wouldn't he?" Jack shrugged nonchalant. As her expression remained unchanged, he decided to change tactics. "Hey. They're here and they can't really go back now." Jack took one of her hands in his. "Just try to have some fun, okay?"

She sighed looking around at her friends expectantly looking at her. "Fine."

"Nice timing, El." Violet pushed herself from the frame and gestured with her head to the road. "Bus is coming."

"Alright, people." Jack clapped as the rest of the team formed a line behind him. He stretched his arm signaling for the bus to stop. "Senior express is right ahead. Get ready for a day you won't forget."

They were gathered together in the front of the bus as they laughed it off and excitedly waited to arrive at their final location. At some point, though, Jack noticed that the auburn-haired guy standing beside him wasn't participating much on the conversation, as his attention seemed to be elsewhere. In the back of the bus, more precisely.

"Hey," Jack called looking worried at his friend. "What's wrong, Third?"

Hiccup turned to face him and gestured with his thumb over his shoulder to a seat in the back of the vehicle. "Does that guy look familiar to you?"

Jack discretely looked in the direction Hiccup had pointed and narrowed his eyes. There was a man dressed all in black reading the newspaper. His hair was all pulled back, he had a long, thin, pale face. And his eyes shone with a yellow glint. "Now that you mentioned it…"

"Oh, no…" Hiccup suddenly snapped his head back hiding his face from the man.

"What?"

"That's they guy Astrid punched," he hissed.

Jack raised an eyebrow at him amused. "You'll have to be more specific than that, buddy."

"That-that day…" Hiccup ran a hand through his hair. "During a visit? We had to grab the girls and run?"

The silverhead thought for a moment as he revisited his memories. "That sounds vaguely familiar."

"Shit. That's him." Hiccup started hyperventilating. "That's totally him."

"Yo, Hofferson," Jack called the blonde sitting beside his girlfriend. He walked to their seat leaning closer to them. "Remember that guy?" He gestured with his head to the man in black. "Third said you punched him once."

The girls turned their heads to have a look at the man. Elsa immediately recognized him and her eyes grew wide in surprise. "Oh, my God," she said turning away from him. "That's the guy I spilled coffee at."

Violet, having paid attention to the conversation, kept her eyes locked on the man for a while longer. "Is that really him?"

Astrid snorted crossing her arms feeling herself getting annoyed. "No doubt. The dark hair, the skin, the weird eyes… It's the same creep."

Jack looked back at his best friend and nodded in a silent confirmation. It only made the other guy get even more nervous.

"What are the odds?" Violet asked stealing another glance at the man.

"He didn't recognize us, please, let's keep it that way," Elsa hissed at the brunette rubbing her hands nervously.

As if Greater Forces had heard the blonde's words, the man they had been studying raised his head almost like somebody had called his name.

"Shit." Violet immediately turned around sliding down on her seat.

"What?"

"He's looking at us."

Before they could hold themselves, instinct made all the other three turn in the man's direction at once. And confirming Violet's statement, the man was indeed looking directly at the group. His eyes were narrowed and after another quick moment looking at the girl's faces, realization hit him.

"Crap." Jack turned to Hiccup as he pulled the bus stop rope several times. "He knows." He rushed the girls to move and he watched as the man stood up and cautiously made his way in the direction of his group. He was approaching fast.

As soon as the bus stopped and the door opened, he filled his lungs with air and screamed, "EVERYONE OUT. OUT, OUT, OUT!"

Wilbur had been pacing for a good half an hour by then. He was almost pulling his hair out of his head. What could be taking them so long? Fetching Arendelle shouldn't take so long. Even with a little delay, they should have arrived at Super Silly Fun Land—the perfect location for their ditch day extravaganza— a long time ago. Which was why he was at the phone, like some psychotic teenage fangirl, waiting for the other line to pick up.

"Hey."

"Where the fuck are you people?" Wilbur hissed as soon as he heard Frost's voice on the phone. "We've been waiting for hours."

"We had to jump a few stops earlier."

Wilbur glared at the phone for a moment before putting it back on his ear. "Why?"

"Occurrences."

He knew for a fact that Jack was shrugging, like it was no big deal at all. "Frost…"

"Hey, don't worry about us." A pause as he seemed to talk to the others on the other side of the line. "We're almost there. You guys can go ahead without us."

"You sure?"

"Yeah, doesn't make sense to miss the day waiting for us."

"Alright." Wilbur sighed rubbing his eyes. "Meet you guys inside."

"Okay."

"Make sure to get your butt over here fast."

He heard Jack laughing. "I'll do my best."

"I'll be waiting for you, handsome."

"See you in a bit, Wilbs."

He shoved his phone inside his pocket and turned to face the rest of the seniors class.

"William?" Hiro called him. "What's the next move?"

Wilbur sighed. "Divide and conquer, Baby Hiro. Divide and conquer." He clapped twice getting everyone's attention. "Listen up, seniors!"

"I feel very self-conscious on my school uniform," was the first time Elsa said as soon as they finally made it inside the amusement park. Truth be told, all the rest of the group had dressed up in the morning for a day of fun in the outside world. Even Anna and her friends, who had already disappeared together claiming that they didn't want to impose any further on the seniors' fun, were dressed up nicely.

"Don't worry about it." Violet threw an arm over the blonde's shoulders and gave her an affectionate squeeze. With her free hand, she slid her sunglasses in place. "We got that covered."

"Brought you a change of clothes." Astrid shook the backpack she had been carrying.

"I'm insecure about the type of clothes you picked out for me," she said mockingly.

Violet shrugged looking at Elsa with an arched eyebrow. "Well, now that I think about it, we found the most surprising piece of clothing in your wardrobe, Elsa."

Astrid put a hand on her hip staring at the platinum-blonde girl. "Maybe you remember a very specific hoodie—"

"Okay," Elsa interrupted her friend quickly. "I'll take that, thank you." She took the bag from Astrid's hand and gave the two girls a polite smile. "Would you mind accompanying me?" She smiled as she looked at the boys. "We'll be back soon."

"Sure…" Hiccup waved as he watched them leaving slightly confused.

The three girls headed to the bathrooms after that. As soon as they had left, Andy turned to his silver-haired friend. "You know what that was about?" he asked with an arched eyebrow.

"Nope." Jack slid his shades up his nose. "Not a clue."

It had been a day of discoveries. Who would've thought that Violet would get sick after riding a loop roller coaster? And who would've imagined that Hiccup was actually scared of ghosts? That Elsa sucked at driving bumper cars, or that Astrid was allergic to peanuts. That Hiro hated clowns. That Wilbur lived for cotton candy. That Andy had never been inside a ferris wheel cabin until that same day. They had laughed, suffered and been there for each other through the ups and downs of the day. They indulged in greasy junk food, challenge each other in the most ridiculous situations, took pictures with employees wearing stinky giant animal costumes… All in the sake of making that an unforgettable day.

As they started getting tired of all the lines and the waiting to get on the rides, they headed to the game booths. At some point, a part of the group found themselves involved in a heated dispute in the shooting booth for some random stuffed animal prize.

"Stupid cast." Astrid groaned as she adjusted the rifle on her left shoulder.

"You know," Violet said munching on her popcorn. "You're almost better with your non-dominant hand than the other idiots."

Astrid snorted focusing her aim at her target. "Because they sure as hell possess good parameters for comparison."

"You're just a bucket of rainbows and sunshine, aren't you?" Jack took his eyes from the targets to mock the girl beside him.

"I'm sorry, did I hurt your feelings?" Astrid took a shot. She missed and cursed under her breath.

Jack placed a hand over his heart. "So badly that I almost feel like giving up right now."

"I honestly don't even know why you guys are still trying," Andy said. He had gotten tired of watching and was sitting on the floor playing on his phone.

"Pride's on the line?" Hiccup suggested shooting with his gun.

"I'm pretty sure it genuinely started as a joke with us trying to have some fun," Wilbur said with a sigh. "But then Frost very smoothly convinced us that our lives would be a total waste if we didn't get at least one prize."

"I'm giving up on you." Elsa shook her head as she looked at her boyfriend.

"Don't say that." Jack looked at her from over his shoulder. "I'm already in a really fragile state." With a smirk, he gestured for her to join him. "Come here and help me."

"I don't indulge in firearms," she said standing beside him with her arms crossed.

He pulled her in front of him and put his arms around her. "Then take aim," Jack said raising the gun to her eyesight.

She sighed closing one eye and adjusting the gun in a straight line to the target. She tapped Jack's hand and he pulled the trigger. They missed.

Wilbur whistled beside the couple. "For a moment, I really thought Elsa would hit something," he admitted.

Elsa glowered at the boy. "That was entertaining," she said giving back the gun to the silverhead and stepping aside. "And completely anticlimactic."

Jack shrugged. "It was worth a shot."

"When are you guys stopping?" Violet asked glaring at the four of them. "It's getting really embarrassing."

"It's supposed to be a children's game," Andy added. "And the bloodthirst is being intense. Not adding much to you guys' images."

"You know what, Andrew?" Jack said. "Stay out of our healthy, innocent and very productive enjoinment, okay?"

Andy rolled his eyes, but said nothing else. The other girls also kept watching the game in silence.

"Hey sis!" When the trio of spectators turned, Anna was walking in their direction with her friends. The girl waved at the group. "Seniors," she greeted looking at the others.

"Anna!" Elsa smiled at the sight of her sister. "How was your free day?" she asked the girls.

"Awesome."

"Pretty cool."

"Exhausting. In a good way."

Elsa sighed. "Well, since I couldn't dissuade your decision, I'm glad you at least enjoyed it."

They noticed the grumbling fantastic four's vicious cycle. They loaded, they aimed and then they shot. And when they missed, they loaded again.

"So what's the score?" Anna asked getting chills at the vibes the four were sending their way.

"Zero. No one got a thing," Violet mumbled.

Tinkerbell stared at her with narrowed eyes. "Are you serious?"

Merida snorted throwing her head back. "Pathetic."

"Think you can do better, DunBroch?" Jack challenged the redheaded girl.

Merida pulled her jacket's sleeves up as she went straight to the silverhead. "Step aside." She asked for a gun and paid for a round of ammo. She took the rifle, closed one eye and focused on the target in front of her. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly. Then, she shot.

"Oh my Gosh, Merida!" Anna jumped to her side shaking her cousin by the shoulders. That caught all the other's attention. "That was so cool!"

Looking back at the targets, they could see that a fresh bullet hole in one of them. Hiccup's jaw dropped as he stared at it, and he could feel Astrid fuming beside him.

Merida received her prize throwing a smug chuckle in Jack's direction. She shoved the stuffed animal in Anna's arms. "Here, keep it."

"Aw, thanks, Mer!"

But Merida wasn't listening anymore. She took aim and shot again.

"Are you kidding me?" Jack hissed as he stared at a second target the girl had hit.

"Two for two!" Tink said running to the ginger haired girl's side.

"That was amazing!" Rapunzel was jumping in excitement too.

Astrid groaned with flames sparking in her eyes. "Oh, now it's on!"

"Son of a bitch," Wilbur grumbled pinching the bridge of his nose.

Hiccup laughed shaking his head. "This is humiliating."

"Crap, I'm out of ammo." Jack gestured for the vendor for another round. He grabbed his fake bullets and turned to his auburn-haired friend. "Haddock, switch places with me."

Hiccup groaned annoyed as the silverhead made him lose concentration, but guessing that humoring Jack would be the easier way out, he did as he was told. They walked to each other's places as another shotgun echoed and thrilled exclamations were heard.

"Third one?" Anna screamed unable to hold her excitement.

Wilbur threw his hands in the air. "Goddamn it."

"Yay, Merida!" Rapunzel cheered clapping.

Violet looked at the prizes piling in the arms of the girls. "You're killing it, girl!"

"Oh my God!" Jack shouted indignant.

"Yes!" Astrid threw a victorious fist in the air.

"Aha!" Hiccup pointed at the target he had just hit. He looked at his girlfriend and they shared a moment of satisfaction and fulfillment. "Yeah, babe! Power team coming through." They high-fived before exchanging their guns for their prizes. "Oh, man. This deserves an ice cream."

"Let's go." Astrid kept holding his hand to lead her boyfriend to the nearest ice cream vendor. "Anyone else up for it?"

"I think our MVP here deserves a treat," Tink said hooking an arm around Merida's.

"Does this mean you're paying?"

"We all are," Rapunzel replied talking the redhead's other arm. "You did great, Mer."

"Coming, Elsa?" Anna asked as they started heading out.

"We'll catch up, there's a little bit of damage control to do here."

Anna nodded and mouthed a silent 'good luck' to her sister.

Jack facepalmed shaking his head. "Fuck me," he groaned.

"Here you go, Elsa," Merida said giving the blonde girl her fourth and final prize.

The blonde smiled at her cousin. "Thanks, Mer."

They could hear the redhead's roar of laughter as they left.

When Elsa glanced at Jack, she saw the devastated look on his eyes. He seemed like he had been betrayed. She sighed heavily. "Are you done now?" she asked placing a hand on his shoulder and giving a light squeeze.

Jack put his rifle down and took his hand. "Yeah. I'm done." He glanced at the other remaining guy in on the game. "William?"

Wilbur shrugged. "I'm out of cash anyway."

When they turned around, Violet and Andy were waiting for them with crossed arms and reprimanding stares.

"What a disgrace," Violet said shaking her head negatively.

"Great job, guys. A for effort," Andy mocked with a laugh.

"Talk about rubbing salt into the wound," Wilbur mumbled.

"You know what's worst? That you didn't give up. And you just build up all this expectation." Violet continued mocking the other two guys as they followed the group ahead to the ice cream stand.

"Can we stop talking about this?" Jack asked rubbing a hand on his face.

"Somebody is a little sore, aren't they?" Hiccup said pointing at the silverhead with his ice cream cone.

"You're all full of yourself, aren't you, Third?"

Hiccup shrugged.

"I'll buy you an ice cream. How about that?" Elsa asked squeezing his hand.

Jack mumbled incoherently, then nodded. She giggled softly as she lead him to the line.

The entire group got their orders, and as they enjoyed the cold desserts, Hiro approached them with his phone in his hands. "Are you done with your stupid testosterone test?" he asked the entire group.

"Merida is the greatest man of them all," Violet told him, which received negative reactions from the other competitors, and made the younger girls giggle.

Hiro looked up from his phone surprised and nodded at Merida. "Good job, Red."

"Thanks."

"Looks like we are the last team left," Hiro addressed the other seniors. He had been keeping tabs on the whereabouts of the other senior groups, just to make sure that everybody was back in the Academy in one piece by the end of the day. "So there's a bus leaving in fifteen minutes. Are you ready to check out?"

"Yeah." Jack tossed his ice cream cup on the nearest trash. "Think we can end the day?" he asked the rest of his companions.

They all agreed, and soon enough, they were headed to the exit of the park.

At one point, Jack ended up walking beside Violet and Elsa. "That thing is offensively huge," he said gesturing to the stuffed pink elephant Elsa carried in her hands. The toy was probably a little bigger than an average baby.

"I kinda like it." She said holding the elephant up to take a better look at it. She noticed her boyfriend's shoulders were slumped forward and his eyes were staring at the floor. "Are you really that upset?" she asked carefully touching his hand.

Jack shrugged straightening up his posture. "Of course not," he said taking hold of her hand.

Violet sighed dramatically. "Poor Frosty. Missed a chance to look good in front of his beautiful girlfriend..."

"Hey." Elsa made him look at her before Violet's words had too much effect on him. "You gave me a better prize." She smiled. "Today."

"… So you admit that you had fun."

Elsa rolled her eyes. "Yes," she conceived.

A smirk formed on his lips. "Violet, did you hear that?"

"Uh-huh." The brunette smiled at him supportive. "Good for you, buddy." Then, she leaned closer to Elsa. "Nice save there, Elsa."

"I gotta say," Jack said putting his arms around his girlfriend feeling a little better, "that was really satisfying."

"You're an idiot," Elsa muttered shaking her head.

"Thank you."

"It wasn't a compliment."

I don't believe any of the things that happen in this story would happen in real life. We're almost done, guys! Two more chapters left.
