Location / Date / Time Skip
Cana walked through the island before finally reaching the Route E. She began walking through the cave and looking around for the grave. 'The grave of Fairy Tail's first master Mavis should be here...' She mumbled to herself. 'I got here first... looks like I pass. I'll become an S-Class wizard... In order to meet that person... I have to become an S-Class wizard...'
A light caught her attention and brought her back to reality. "Light..."
With Gray
"Damn..." Gray mumbled as he marched through the forest. "Cana sure has a bad sense of humor. Guess she needs a drink..." He stopped walking and thought back through the whole day. "Come to think of it, I haven't seen her drink since she got to Tenrou Island. Maybe she's sober..."
Footsteps caught his attention and he hid behind a tree. Glancing out from behind the trunk, she saw a woman holding a man over her shoulder. "Very soon, you'll be able to return as the true king, Zeref..." Ultear told the unconscious man.
'Did she say Zeref?' Gray asked himself. 'That man she's carrying?' She started walking again and Gray froze at the side profile of her. 'Ur?... No, it's Grimoire Heart, an enemy... but, she looks just like Ur. Who the heck is that...'
Grimoire Heart Airship
The dark guilds airship sat on the beach, waiting for Zeref to come. Inside, Hades was laughing at the current situation. "This is fantastic."
"You're in quite the good mood, old man." A man said from the side.
Hades reached up and pulled his helmet. "They've already defeated one of my Seven Kin, but the guild is once again whole. Everything is going according to plan."
"You're underestimating the fools." The man said as he walked forward. "Just let me go out there and destroy the lot of them." He reached the table and placed his hands on it, making the whole ship shake.
"That's enough, Bluenote." Hades said. "We do this like we've planned. You're our last resort."
"Very well." Bluenote pulled his hand off and the ship started shaking. "But the second another falls, I am going out there." He turned and took a seat. "Looks like I'm going to fly today."
Below the dining hall, two guards stood in front a jailcell. Inside it, Lisanna sat chained to the floor as she stared at her knees. "You've got company." The cell door opened and someone was thrown in.
Lisanna looked at the person and went wide eyed. "Natsu!" She crawled over to him as best she could as he woke up.
"What happened?" He asked before looking over to his 'guildmate'. "Lisanna! What are you doing here?"
"One of these guys assaulted the Base Camp." She explained. "He held me in some kind of tree bomb and forced Mira to fight him." Her eyes started to tear up as she remembered what happened next. "She-she couldn't beat him so she tried to absorb the explosion. But he snuck me out of the spell and brought me here."
"Don't worry, I'm sure she's okay." Natsu told her. "I lost a fight to some blonde haired lunatic, and they dragged me here." He grabbed the bars and tried melting them. "If I could just use my magic I could break us out of here. But this cell is canceling out our power. I was hoping to make them pay for what they did to Makarov."
"They got to the master, too?" She asked in shock before holding her knees close to her chest. "I can't believe it. How can we even hope to beat them?"
Natsu crawled over to her and hugged her by surprise. "No matter what happens Lisanna, I will keep you safe." She smiled into his chest as the two waited for rescue.
Council Warships
"Did you say Bluenote Stinger!?" Doranbolt asked in shock.
"He was a gora commander in the Gabria War." Lahar explained. "He annilated the entire blue dragon regiment by himself. Not even a weed remains in the roads that he wakes. That's the leve of magic he has."
"Is He that fearsome... and he's with Grimoire Heart..." The scarred man mumbled.
"It's not just us that can't compete with him... it's all of Fairy Tail too." Lahar added as he walked towards to communication lacrima. "We'd better get in touch with headquarters. What happens next we can't predict."
Doranbolt swatted the hand away and looked Lahar in the face. "Give me some time..." He said before grabbing the lacrima and teleporting away.
With Lucy
Lucy slept on the ground before she rolled out of the bush. "Lucy, is that you?" Her eyes slowly opened up and she found herself looking up at Wendy who was holding Makarov on her back.
"Wendy?" Lucy asked in confusion. "What are you- wait, where's Cana!?" She looked around for her partner but found only air.
"I don't know. We only found you." Wendy said.
Lucy looked over and stared at Makarov. "What happened to the master?" She asked.
"One of Grimoire Heart managed to damage him." Happy explained. "And Natsu..." He gripped the scarf around his neck. Before Lucy could ask anything, Mest teleported in front of them holding a communication lacrima.
"Mest... What do you want, traitor?" Pantherlily asked.
"First, my real name is Doranbolt." The council worker said. "And second, I've come here to help you guys out." Carla and Happy stared at him confused. "With my magic, Fairy Tail Members will be able to leave this island. All we have to do is figure out where everyone is."
"Not going to happen." Happy said, shocking Mest.
"Why do we have to accept help from the council?" Carla asked.
"Our guild takes care of its own problems." Pantherlily added.
"That's not the point!" Doranbolt shouted. "If headquarters gets wind of the situation here, they're going to attack the island!"
"Are they planning on using Etherion again!?" Happy asked in a panic.
"Then we just take care of thi before that happens." Lucy said.
"Makarovs been beaten too!" Mest shouted. "There are even more terrifying people in Grimoire Heart! There's no way you can win!"
"You can't just blow up the island." Wendy protested. "This Island is scared to our guild. It's where are first master is buried!"
"They've already killed your first Dragon Slayer! What makes you think you can stop them!?" Doranbolt shouted before he stared up at Pantherlily in his battle form.
"This has nothing to do with the council." He said to the human. "This is personal, and if you get in our way we won't think twice about taking you down too." The storm clouds began gathering as Wendy looked up in the sky,
With Erza and Juvia
Juvia cried out in pain as she landed in the water. "Juvia!" Erza cried out concerned as more energy blades went after the water mage. "Why are you after Juvia!?"
"13th is just trash." Meredy simply said. "I'll take care of it quickly."
"Stand down Juvia, I'll take care of her!" Erza said as she changed into her Heavens Wheel armor.
"Erza Scarlet... you'll be in fourth place." Meredy said as she summoned more of her magic blades.
"What are you ranking?" Erza asked as she ran forward.
"It's the ranking for the order I've decided to kill you in." Meredy swung her arm and the blades went after Erza, who sliced them with her own swords. "Third place is Gildarts, but he's no longer on this island anymore. Second place is Makarov, but I think master Hades beat me to it."
"Master is in second place?" Erza asked in confusion.
"There's someone who I've ranked far ahead your master." Meredy explained. "First place is Gray Fullbuster." Erza looked in confusion as Juvia twitched in the water. "The man who killed Ultear's mother... the man who hurt Ultear... the man who hurt my Ultear! I'll never forgive him! I'm going to tear him apart!"
Blades appeared around her and circled Erza before a magic wave of water tore them apart. Rain clouds started gathering before the rain started falling. "Can't forgive... that's my line..." Juvia mumbled as she stood up in her disheveled clothing. "Whose life did you say you were after?"
"What's wrong with her?" Meredy asked. "She's only the 13th..."
"Ca-calm down, Juvia!" Erza nervously begged.
"Calm down?" The bluenette asked as she walked through the water. "This woman is after my beloved Gray for her irrational needs... how could I possibly calm down!?" She walked past Erza and stared Meredy. "There's no way I will forgive that woman!" Water rose up and sent Meredy crashing backwards into a tree.
Juvia then launched forward at great speed, shocking the other two girls. "Water Nebula!" A helix pattern of water rose up and slammed into Meredy.
'She's a completely different person than I fought during the trial...' Erza thought as she watched Juvia hold Meredy at bay on her own. 'She's getting her strength from her strong feelings towards a loved one. This is Juvia's true power.'
"Erza, please leave her to me." Juvia said, looking over her shoulder. "You need to hurry and find Wendy. And Gray too."
Erza nodded as she changed back into her black bikini. "Understood. I'm gonna leave it to you then."
"Number four will not escape!" Meredy shouted as she summoned more blades. Juvia waved her hands and two waves crashed into the girl. "Maguilty =Ray!" Yellow blades flew at Juvia and surrounded her.
"Water Slicer!" Juvia responded by creating blades of water that destroyed the yellows as the two girls glared at each other.
With Rustyrose
"Tears allow me to forget my desires... Wicked eyes are wicked still in the dark..." The pompadoured man said as he held up his hand to the sky.
"Is that some song, Rusty?" Azuma asked as he sat without his shirt.
"No, just cries of the heart." Rustyrose replied. "Azuma, you seem rather beat-up and worn..."
"Just proof that Natsu was right about this guild." The shirtless man replied.
"I find that he was rather wrong." Rustyrose retorted. "There isn't a single one I'd call strong. My heart doesn't even begin to tremble."
"I wouldn't underestimate them." Azuma warned. "Fairy Tails weapons lay not in their magical power, but in their incredible faith that they can transform and use as power."
"Faith into power...?" Rustyrose mumbled. "Much like our own Meredy..."
With Juvia
The two girls stared at each other as the rain continued to fall. "It's mysterious, isn't it?" Meredy asked. "That over this one person, one can hate him and another could love him. Even with just the same person, there can be different ways to see them and fell about them."
"It's a mark of being individual." Juvia replied. "That's what it is to be human."
"I've got good luck, to have killing Gray as my objective and to meet someone who has strong feelings about him." Meredy mumbled, confusing Juvia. "Your feelings about Gray will be how I kill him. Juvia... I'm going to show you a touch of heaven and boundless despair. Let those feelings rise when you picture your beloved." Juvia's face turned red as she thought of Gray. "This is it. Sensory Link!"
Pink energy shot at Juvia and made her cry in pain as the energy that flew into the island. "Lost magic, Maguilty=Sense."
"Wha... what did you do?" Juvia asked staring at the brand on her wrist.
"I have made both of your sense as one." Meredy explained. "If the targets of this magic don't have strong feelings, they won't connect."
"j-Juvia and Gray are one!?" She asked gushing red.
"Their senses are." Meredy said plainly as Juvia was lost in her head. "It's a wonderful feeling, isn't it? To have both of your senses completely shared..." Juvia only nodded in response. "But, this magic will share your pain as well!" She swung her arm and a blade hit Juvia in the arm. "All the damage you take will be felt by Gray."
"How dare you..." Juvia mumbled as she stared at Meredy. "You're trying to hurt my beloved!?" She charged forward and blasted Meredy with her magic again.
'Impossible!' Meredy thought in shock. 'Her magic power is still growing!? Could her feeling turning into power really make her this strong?! Then I'll show you the power of feelings too!' She pressed against her own wrist and the brand appeared there.
Juvia hit her with a water infused fist that sent Meredy flying backwards before she felt the force of her attack as well. 'Why... why did it get to me too!?'
Meredy panted heavily as she stood up. "For the sake of Ultear... I'll put my life on the line... I've attached myself to your connection. As of now, the three of us are connected. Now it doesn't matter which one of us dies... Gray will die too. This is a dead end of despair, an end to Gray's life."
"This can't be..." Juvia mumbled. "That also means no matter what, that you..."
"That's right. This is my convection." Meredy replied. "This is the end. For the three of us, there is only death."
Juvia flinched as she felt something hard brushed against her back. 'A weight on my back... this must be what Gray senses.'
"My back is leaning against something." Meredy spoke up. "Now that Gray and I are connected, there's no longer any need to fight with anyone." She summoned two blades and positioned them against her neck. "I can just kill myself!"
"Stop it!" Juvia cried out as she raced forward.
"I do not fear death." Meredy replied.
Juvai sloshed through the water as fast as she could but she knew she wouldn't reach in time. 'Gray, forgive me...' She slammed her water infused fist into her own leg and made it buckle. Meredy did the same and the blades swung right over her.
"Your own leg..." Meredy mumbled in anger. "Even though the Maguilty Sense can share the feelings of pain, it can't share the physical wound. If you want to stop me, you're going to have to kill me. And if you do that, then you'd kill your beloved Gray. You can't win, so how can you expect to fight against me now!? The only thing left of the three of us is to die."
"There's one other option." Juvia spoke up. "The three of us can live." Her words shocked Meredy. "Although we may defeat our enemies... the wizards of Fairy Tail would never take their lives!"
"How incredibly childish!" Meredy shouted as another blade appeared above her. "I'm going to kill Gray for the sake of Ultear!"
"As if I'd let you!" The bluenette shouted, limping forward. "Before that happens, I'm going to make you incapable of fighting!" Meredy screamed as she waited for her blade to fall down on her.
Years Ago
A destroyed town was smoking as a young Meredy cried amidst the rubble. Her tear filled eyes opened at the sound of footsteps coming toward her. Ultear stood before her before she crouched down to the child's level. "Everything's fine now. Won't you stop crying?"
Zancrow and Kain entered from behind their leader. "What's up with that brat?" The blonde asked.
"She'll live on." Ultear said.
"C'mon. Stop those tears." Kain said, holding a massive amount of ice cream.
His words caused Meredy to start crying again. "Let me get a look at your face." Ultear said.
"What the hell are you saying!?" Zancrow asked. "Zeref's key ordered to exterminate the people of this crap hole."
"She reminds me of myself from a long time ago." Ultear explained, confusing the two men. "It's okay... this child has a strong flow of magic."
Years passed and Meredy was now leaning against the railing of the airship next to Ultear. "Why do you always seem so sad, Ur?"
"I thought I told you not to call me 'Ur'." The older mage chuckled. "Ur was my mother, but now she's dead."
"Dead?" Meredy asked.
"Some day, I'll tell you the story." Ultear said.
Seconds later, Meredy was hugging Ultear's arm. "Ultear you're my mother..."
Ultear stared down before she smirked. "I don't need a big kid like you." She joked, making Meredy smile.
Present
The blade was destroyed by a spiral of water as Meredy found herself in an embrace with Juvia. 'What's this...' Meredy thought as she felt Juvia's sadness. 'Why... why is she crying?'
Juvia pushed Meredy back and stared into her eyes. "Even you smile!" Juvia shouted. "Even you have someone important to you!"
'Could it be that it crossed beyond sense...' Meredy thought in shock. 'And is even sharing emotions?'
"Live..." Juvia begged as tears started falling from her eyes. "I love for the ones that I love! You've go to too! If you have love in your life, then you must keep on living!"
'Love...' Meredy to herself. 'Live...' The emotions Juvia were sending her finally broke her down and she started crying. They fell to their knees and the brands on their wrists faded. "I can't fight with you..." She said as she started falling backwards .
"I won't try to run away or hide, my darling..." Juvia mumbled as they both hit the water at the same time.
With Gray
Gray stared at his wrist as the strange brand in his wrist disappeared just as quickly as it appeared. 'Those sensations have vanished.' He thought to himself as he felt the tears on his face. 'Tears? Shit! What's going on!?' He glanced over and found the man on the ground, and the woman was missing.
'Crap!' He turned around and found the woman standing behind him.
"Were you following me?" She asked with a smirk as Gray stood up in shock. "You surely must have noticed by now. I am your teacher Ur's daughter... Ultear."
Gray stared at the woman in complete shock. 'She is... Ur's daughter...!? She's been secretly involved Jellal's group and with the council... and also a member of Grimoire Heart... so she must have some grudge against me...'
"Gray... I've waited to meet you for so long." Ultear spoke up. "Don't worry. After all, I'm your friend." Gray stared at her in a mix of shock and confusion.
"My friend?" He asked.
"Thats right." She nodded, making him drop his head. "You don't have to say anything, I already know. Ur's death wasn't your fault. It was simply a mother protecting her her young. In the end it was pride."
The two stared at each other for a while before Gray finally spoke up. "To be honest, I don't care one way or the other what you think of me... but don't say that what you're doing is Ur's pride. Zeref? Ur lost her life to Deliora! And the person that created it was Zeref! You used Zeref to try and create a meaningless world!"
"You're wrong, Gray." She spoke up. "Everything I did... was Ur's will."
With Lucy and Co.
In a small cave on the island, Lucy stepped out from behind a rock to look at the pouring rain. "It doesn't look like the rains stoping any time soon."
"I wonder if Carla and Lily are okay?" Wendy asked. Mest sat against the wall as Makarov laid in the ground in front of him.
Happy stared out the cave before Carla flew into view. "Carla! You're back! Where's Lily?"
"He decided to stay at our camp." The white cat explained. "Lily said Gajeel and Mirajane were there in critical contrition." She landed on the ground and her wings faded. "More importantly, their boat is still off the east shore."
"Our camp..." Lucy mumbled. "Why don't we stop by for a bit? Cana might be there too."
"Good idea." Wendy said. "We can meet up with everyone there."
Happy flew over to Makarov and gingerly picked the master up. "There's no way..." Mest mumbled.
"We'll somehow manage to take care of Grimoire Heart and Zeref." Lucy said.
"Please do something to stop the attack on the island." Wendy begged.
"There's no way it can be done." He mumbled back.
"Then just buy us some time." Carla huffed put. "You can at least do that, can't you?"
"I'm not just talking about myself!" He shouted as he stood up. "I'm talking about you! How do you expect to handle this insane situation we're stuck in!?"
"The Fairy Tail way." Lucy replied before they ran into the storm.
With Erza
The redhead walked through the pouring rain as she looked for the other members of the guild. "Wendy! Where are you!?"
"Erza Scarlet, i presume..." A voice spoke up from around her.
"Who's there!?" She demanded.
The tree above her began growing a know before a head and body rose out of it. "We meet at last. The true warrior Titania. By the way, I took care of that little girl."
"What did you say?" Erza asked with venom in her voice.
Grimoire Heart Airship
"Incredible... Meredy was defeated..." Hades mumbled. "Seems I underestimated Natsu's reports about the guild. Bluenote." He glanced over to the side only to find the man empty. "Perhaps I was to late... I apologize, Makarov. I hadn't intended on ever using him again. It's over."
Fairy Tail Basecamp
"Lucy and all of them are coming here!?" Levy asked with a smile. "That's great."
"Yup." Lily nodded. "If everything goes according to plan, Carla should be leading them here."
"That's a life saver." Levy sighed as she looked over the prone bodies of Gajeel, Mirajane Elfman and Evergreen. "We're full of wounded here. Of an enemy were to attacked it'd be disastrous."
"Happy will be bringing the wounded master with him, too." Pantherlily added.
"I can't believe it... even the master was beaten." Levy mumbled before forcing herself to smile. "I know we can't give up, no matter what! If we all combine our power and work together, then surely..."
"It's important to know when to give up, too." Both looked over to see Rustyrose wall over to them. "In this world, no matter what you do there are just some things that will always be stronger than you. The pieces of my heart tremble. And now... I'll eat up every last one of you until not a single Fairy remains."
'Hurry up, you guys.' Lily thought in a panic, unsure if he could hold his combat mode for the fight.
With Lucy and Co.
"I hope Doranbolt is okay." Wendy said to Carla as they ran through the woods.
"Don't waste your time worrying about that kind of guy." Carla replied.
"I'm worried about Cana too." Lucy added. "What if she got lost somewhere?"
Happy came to a stop as a man walked forward getting poured on. "Um.. guys..."
They all looked forward and stared in shock of the sight. "This much magic power..." Wendy mumbled.
"Why is the rain only pouring down near him?" Carla asked.
The man came to a stop and Bluenote stared at them. "I wonder if you can fly?" He asked before feeling their magic power. "Nope... still can't fly..." He held out his hands and the rain stopped around him. "Fall." His one word command returned the rain fall and forced the fairy tail wizards to the ground.
The solid rock soon started to cave under them and became a reverse dome, pinning them to it. "I'm not intrested in Fairy Tail and I couldn't care less about Zeref. But there is one single thing I do want and it's here." The wizards struggled to stand but failed in their efforts. "Where is the grave of the first Fairy Tail master, Mavis Vermillion?"
"What do you want with Mavis' grave?" Lucy asked.
"Fairy Glitter... It's written within Fairy Law." The dark wizard explained. "It's one the three great magics of your guild, isn't it?" He activated his magic and began crushing the group again. "That radiance is a merciless light that rejects the presence of any foes. I want that magic."
"That magic appears to have been sealed in Mavis' grave. You will tell me where it is." He held up his hand and the gravity increased again. He glanced over and found the prone master. "Is that where it is, Makarov? Maybe I should ask him myself..."
With Cana
The brunette walked through the cave as she focused on her goal. 'Mavis' grave is just ahead... finally, I'll be S-Class. I'll finally get to meet my father.' She walked out of the cave and stared at the grave. It was glowing in pure energy as her eyes went wide in amazement. "What's going on? The grave... is glowing..."
Cana walked forward in shock of what she was seeing. "What is this light?" She reached the grave and held her hand out to the fire before pulling it back in pain. Runes appeared in front of the grave and she read them aloud. "'One off the three great Fairy Magics, Fairy Glitter, is sealed inside.'"
Anger rose up inside the brunette as she stared at the monument. "What I want isn't magic! What about the test!? Master! Where are you!? Finally made it all the way here... I thought I would finally become S-Class... the last 12 years of my life were to culminate in this test!"
A young Cana stood in front of a grave as her dog was next to her. It was her mother's; she had passed just recently. In the reading of the will, cana learned that her father still lived and was stated to live with him. While searching for him, she wound up at Fairy Tail.
She and her dog stood outside the guild as Gildarts walked forward. "What are you doing here, little girl?" He asked.
Cana looked up at him with hope in here eyes. 'Dad...'
"Hurry up and get home." He said, walking away. "If you hand around here, your clothes will wind up reading of booze."
Cana just stared as his fading body in shock. 'Why... why don't you recognize me?" She reached out to him, but lowered her arm in shame.
Weeks passed and she just sat in guild hall in shame as she waited for her father. She came around so much that she just joined Fairy Tail. But her father would never stick around for more than a minute before going back to work. Years passed but she still could never tell him.
"You sure have gotten big, Cana." Gildarts said.
Before Cana could say anything, the master appeared behind him. "Gildarts! You're gonna miss the train!"
"Coming!" The ace shouted as he raced out of the guild.
'That was the one thing I couldn't say... Gradually grew bigger inside me. Dad was really popular with everyone, on top of that, h was the best wizard in the guild. Someone like me could never compare with him. He always shined so brightly. And so I continued to be unable to tell him. I became afraid if ever being able to tell him. My chance came with the trail to become an S-Class wizard.'
"Try your best." Her father said.
'That was when I decided! If I pass the test, I'll tell my father the truth. But I failed four years in a row. Mirajane, Erza... others who joined after me managed to pass. I couldn't keeep up... I fell behind... I couldn't live up to my dad... that's why I decided this time would be my last try. If I fail again, I won't even be worthy of being Gildarts daughter. I'd quit the guild... and leave the town.
Her mind returned Lucy's apartment and when she told Lucy everything. "Let me be your partner, Cana!" The blonde shouted as she stood up. "There's no way you're going to quit the guild!"
Present
Cana snapped back to reality as her purse started glowing. She reached into it and pulled out a card that said 'Help Lucy!' She remembered when she gave the blonde the card before going over the entire trial with Lucy. Her hand trembled as she let go of the card and fell to her knees. "What am I doing..."
Tears started falling from her eyes as her shame finally hit her. "It wasn't supposed to be like this! I never meant to betray my friends! It's ofer... I'm no good." Her hands clenched into a fist as she stood up. "It doesn't matter if I don't become an S-Class wizard anymore... and it doesn't matter if I can't tell my father how I feel."
She reached out to the grave and gripped the fire. "I don't care about any of that... I just want to protect my friends!" The fire erupted and almost forced Cana back. "I don't need anything else! As long as everyone's safe. Even if I can't be a part of this guild! No matter where I am... my heart will be in the same place! So please! Lend me the power to protect the guild! I...I love this guild!"
'In that case, you have nothing to fear.' A voice said, surprising Cana. 'Mistakes aren't made by locking your feelings away and holding back. They're made while wearing your heart on your sleeve. Go forth... I have bestowed Fairy Glitter upon you.'
Cana pulled her hand out of the fire and stared at the red tattoo on her arm. With a smirk, Cana turned around and started running. 'I'm going to fight for what's most important to me! This will be my final fight! I'm going to make up for everything everyone in Fairy Tail has done for me these past 12 years!'
She glanced at the card and found the glow growing in brightness. "This way!" Cana turned on her heels and raced to the right. "Hang on, Lucy! I'm on my way! And one of the three great magic's of Fairy Tail, Fairy Glitter is coming with me. With this magic, there's no opponent I can't defeat. I will protect the guild!'
She jumped over some rocks and came to stop looking over the scene. "So it's you!" She shouted, catching Bluenotes attention.
"Cana!" Lucy and Wendy cheered.
"You're not going to hurt my friends anymore!" She shouted as she jumped and threw half of her deck at Bluenote. He merely raised his hand and the gravity of the cards changed their trajectories. Cana then pulled her arm and the tattoo on her arm started to glow. "Fairy..."
"Light?" Carla asked in confusion.
"What magic is this?" Happy asked.
"It can't be..." Bluenote mumbled before forcing her to the ground. "You... that magic you have..."
"Fairy Glitter?" Carla asked.
"Lucy..." Cana groaned out. "I'm sorry for leaving you. I don't have an excuse... I'm just sorry." She stood back up and glared a the dark wizard. "But you can trust me. With this magic, I'll beat him for sure!"
"Awesome!" Lucy cheered. "Did you get it from the grave!?"
"I'll explain everything later." The brunette replied. "Right now I need some help with this-"
Bluenote waved his arms and everyone was sent crashing to ground. "No one is capable of moving under the weight of my gravity. To think you just nonchalantly happened to find the magic I've been searching for all this time. Now I'm going to take that magic."
"This magic can only be used by members of our guild!" Cana defiantly shouted up at him. "You guys wouldn't be able to use it!"
"If you trace the origins of spellcraft, you'll find that it began with one single magic." He replied. "That means every spell in excistance is, at its foundation, just one single magic."
'One single magic...' Lucy thought as she was squashed against the ground in pain. 'This story... I've heard it somewhere before.'
Bluenite raised his hand and Cana floated off the ground. "Those Who are attuned to the flow of magic can process and use any magic in existence." He clentched his hand shut and Cana cried out in pain. "Now, let me as you, little girl. Are you able to use Fairy Glitter?"
"Of c...ourse I can..." She spat out.
"An exceedingly complex and unfathomably intricate spill that collects and concentrates the light of the sun, moon, stars..." He mumbled out. "There's no way someone like you could use that." He squeezed his hand tighter and Cana screamed again. "Don't worry. I'll take that magic from you."
A shining fist hit Bluenote square in the face, forcing him to drop Cana. He turned to see Loki panting in exhaustion. "Sorry, Lucy... that's all I can muster right now. Hope it helps..." He faded back to the spirit world as he glared at Lucy.
"Thanks... I needed that." Cana chuckled from behind before raising her arm. "Gather! O guiding rivers of light!" The tattoos started shining as bright as the sun. "Shine in! To crush this wicked fang, this evil!"
"Impossible!" Bluenote shouted in shock as Cana erupted into light.
"Fairy Glitter!" Cana pointed her fist at him and a circle of light surrounded him. With a scream, Cana focused her magic and Bluenote started screaming in pain.
"Fall!" Bluenote dropped to his knees and crushed the ground underneath him, cushioning himself from the power of the attack. Cana was knocked to her back and the spell faded. "You call this Fairy Glitter? Don't make me laugh. Even the most powerful magic is garbage in the hands of an incapable user. You don't even know, do you?" He asked as he walked forward.
"Your magic can be taken even after your killed?" He stood over Cana as her guildmates begged for her to run away. "Now, fall into the depths of hell."
He reached out to grab her when another hand launched him back. All looked up to see Gildarts standing in front of Cana with an angry look on his face.
How many of you thought I killed Natsu off? Be honest with me. Sorry for no chapter last month, but with no Natsu to come save Lucy I didn't see the need to have Kain fight her. Besides it was totally random that he stumbled upon her. Well, Gildarts is back on the island and he is PISSED OFF! Next chapter won't take an extra month to make, so see you then.
