Chapter 54
"Today is the day," Montana yawned as she opened up her blinds.
"You ready for the show today?" Soleil asked, stretching.
"Sure am!" Montana's Vulpix curled around her neck.
"What are you going to do this time?" Soleil asked as she got up.
"I want to use Skorupi for sure," Montana answered. "I don't know about the styling part though." Vulpix raised off her shoulder and smiled.
"You ready to watch Montana today?" Tony questioned Drake as he walked out of the shower with nothing but a towel on.
"I have other plans today. I'm going to end Team Rocket's plans and this Great Prophecy before it gets any worse. There is an old monk here in Ecruteak where I may be able to get answers from," Drake explained.
"Alone?" Tony sighed. He and Drake hadn't been bonding like usual.
"Yes. I need you with the girls just in case something happens," Drake grunted. He seemed more grumpy than usual. It reminded Tony of his mood when Montana left.
"Where are you going?" Tony asked again as he turned around to see Drake leaving the room. Drake shut the door before answering. Tony ran to open it, but Drake was gone.
Drake heard the door shut softly, peeking over the small corner he was hiding behind. He sprinted down the hallway and into the back stair case.
He left the Pokemon Center and made his way into the town.
"Where did Drake go?" Montana quizzed as she saw Tony walking down the stairs by himself.
"He just left this morning," Tony sighed.
"That crap last night must have messed him up," Soleil defended.
"Sure," Montana grunted. "Let's go!"
"Where is this place?" Drake asked his newly acquired but not captured Eevee.
"Vee," Eevee whimpered.
"Maybe it's this old weird looking building," Drake said as he approached a small building that read 'Kimono Dance Studio'.
"Hello?" Drake shouted into the darkness. A small figure shushed him from the front desk.
"Please take a seat," the women said behind the shadows. Six other women glared at Drake through the shadows, but they pranced away onto the fairly lit stage. Drake sat down as eight small black haired women danced onto the stage with their accompanying Pokemon. Every woman had an Eeveelution with an Eevee and a smaller woman in the middle.
"Ee!" Eevee cheered. The few people in the audience didn't even notice him or Eevee.
"Welcome to the Ecruteak PokeStylist Show!" Joe Rapid boomed into the microphone. He wore a snazzy yellow suite that nearly matched his bright hair. "The theme will be Olden' Grace! Let's show this high-tech lifestyle how the lived in the Olden' Days!" Montana took a deep breath and analyzed her Pokemon.
"Vulpix, I have a perfect idea," Montana said. She recalled her team and sat Vulpix down on a small chair. "This is going to be perfect!"
"Would anyone like to challenge the dancers to battles to get to speak with Master Fiatsu?" A taller, older lady asked the handful of people in the audience. Drake stood rapidly, holding his hand high.
"Fine. You must beat every one of the dancers' Pokemon with a single Pokemon of your own. Every matchup must be different. We can clear your PokeDex so it will let you have more than six with you. Then you must face the Master with a separate Pokemon, so nine will be needed!" A small body with a bowl-cut took his hand and led him into the back to get ready.
"Eevee!" Eevee cried as the lights darkened. The Pokemon began to growl.
"Eevee, do you want to battle with me?" Drake asked. The Eevee smiled and touched a free Pokeball in his bag.
"Next up is Montana Sanders!" Montana walked out with a baby blue dress with a fringed dress that had ruffles coming down from her neck to her stomach. A eggshell ribbon was tied around her waist and sat on her right hip. She twirled a pearly umbrella that released a Pokeball from the top. Vulpix landed with a bright flash of light. She twirled on her hind legs, showing her matching baby blue dress. Her fiery red curls were covered by a white bonnet tied behind her soft ears. Her tail popped up, showing the back designs on the dress.
"Excellent embroidery on the back!" Howie Zendell commented. Montana and Vulpix bowed and walked off stage.
"Have you decided on your Pokemon, sir?" The small boy asked. Drake nodded, and he was taken onto the stage.
"Your first match up will be against Eve with her Eevee," the taller lady said. A small women with two pigtails made of black hair. She wore a simple brown dress.
"Eevee!" Both trainers yelled. Drake's new Eevee cried happily as he came out his Pokemon for the first time.
"My Eevee has been bred for graceful dancing and intense battling," Eve bragged. She blinked her light green eyes and sparkles of glitter flittered off her eye shadow. Drake took this time to look up Eevee's moves. Drake slipped a TM disc into his PokeDex, and he quickly taught a move to Eevee; however, he was unsure if the move would be usable during the battle.
"Eevee, use Shadow Ball!" Drake yelled. Eevee looked at him crazily, but then he felt a surge of energy forming within him. A dark sphere grew in front of him, and he sent it flying with a flick of his bushy tail.
"Vee!" The opposing Eevee cried as it jumping high in the air.
"Headbutt!" Eve shouted. Her Eevee, while in the air, dove head first at Drake's Eevee.
"Double Team!" Eevee glowed white as dozens of copies took the stage. Eve's Eevee smashed into the stage head first and walked clumsily around it.
"Finish this with a…!" Drake tried to order, but Eevee charged his opponent with a slight tail and cloak of energy. The two Eevee collided, but Eve's Eevee was thrown against the studio wall. The four people in the audience cheered as the dancer's Eevee was recalled.
"You have seven more battles until the master," Eve said as she bowed and walked off stage.
"Next up is Eleca with her Jolteon," the taller woman said once again. Eleca walked slowly onto the stage. She looked exactly like Eve but with a bright yellow dress.
"Jolteon!" Jolteon sprinted from her side and growled.
"Donphan!" Donphan rolled from the flash of his Pokeball and took his battle stance.
"Next up is Bishop Jones!" Bishop walked on stage with an old fashioned black and white tuxedo with a coat tail and all. He fashioned a stylish top hat and a long cane.
"Welcome my sweet, sweet Roserade!" Roserade jumped over him, and she bowed gracefully. Both of her flowers had attached pieces of cloth that tightened a bow on her sun hat. She had a pink dress with a heart embroidered on the chest.
"Simply fantastic!" Lauren Reddell cooed. Bishop and Roserade walked off the stage stylishly.
"That was so good," Montana sighed.
"Pix!" Vulpix cried, reassuring her trainer that they had done good as well.
"Donphan, use Rollout!" Jolteon was high in the air, but Donphan propelled himself in the air with his trunk. Donphan rolled right over Jolteon and sent it falling.
"Jolteon is out! Donphan wins!" The taller woman boomed once more.
"Six more until the master," Eleca whimpered as she recalled her fallen Jolteon.
"Next up is Aquis and her Vaporeon!" A girl with longer black that was twisted into a weird braid walked onto the stage. She wore light blue makeup that matched her long, slim dress.
"Vaporeon, in all your elegance and beauty, take the stage!" Vaporeon jumped in the air and landed powerfully on her legs.
"Pichu, time to go!" Drake's purely white Pichu with black cheek pouches, ear tips, and tail landed on stage and began to charge electricity.
"What a unique Pokemon," Aquis commented. "A Pokemon made by the hands of Arceus for sure!" Pichu's expression darkened, and he growled angrily.
"Vaporeon, use Water Gun!" Aquis yelled. Her Vaporeon launched a powerful stream of water at Pichu.
"Pichu, use Thunderpunch!" Pichu's anger became power. His fist electrified more than ever, and he punched the Water Gun. Aquis and the other dancers were amazed by the tiny Pokemon's power. The Thunderpunch reflected the Water Gun, sending Vaporeon into the wall.
"That was too strong," Aquis sighed. Vaporeon shook its head and then lowered it, analyzing Pichu. "Aurora Beam!" Vaporeon blasted a circular multicolor beam that lowered the temperature around it. The attack hit Pichu square in the chest, but the shifty little Electric Pokemon squirmed out of the way.
"Shadow Ball, quick," Drake countered. Pichu formed a dark orb of energy and threw it at Vaporeon. The Water type was send skidding across the wooden floor.
"Por," Vaporeon whined, trembling legs and all.
"Thunderbolt!" Pichu blasted a crackling lightning bolt that blackened the studio.
"VAP!" Aquis' Pokemon cried as the Electric attack crashed into it.
"Vaporeon is out! Pichu is the winner!" The woman cried. Aquis picked up Vaporeon and ran off stage.
"I'm sorry Mistress Fiatsu," Aquis whimpered. The tall woman blinked softly, sending Aquis to the back.
"The results are in!" Joe Rapid said enthusiastically. "The final eight!" Bishop and Montana's picture appeared side by side. "Let's get on with it. The stylists must incorporate a move to propel their fashion choice even further!"
"Bishop Jones placed the highest, so he will be first!" Joe Rapid boomed after a short break. Bishop walked out with Roserade right behind him. Another Pokemon followed Bishop. The Pokemon was light purple and had giant fangs.
"Meet Granbull!" Bishop cried out. Granbull nodded and crossed his arms. "Outrage!" Granbull's body became outlined in red energy, and his eyes glowed bright red. Granbull set his sights of Roserade and picked her up. The raging Pokemon tore the dress to scraps. Roserade fell on the ground, and Bishop winked at Roserade.
"Rade!" The elegant Grass Pokemon shined brightly with stored sunlight. Leaves flew all around her and calmed Granbull from his rage. Granbull fell to one knee, and Roserade propped one of her legs on it. A green dress made of multicolor leaves sat around Roserade's hips.
"What a beautiful show!" Ecruteak's Officer Jenny applauded. Bishops smiled and led his Pokemon off stage.
"Flareon, it's up to you!" Another girl shouted as the fiery furred Eeveelution took the stage. The girl had redder hair than the others and wore a bright flame designed kimono.
"Croconaw, crunch time!" Drake yelled, laughing at the pun he just made. Croconaw snapped his jaws and folded his arms powerfully.
"Flareon, use Fire Spin!" Flareon blasted a tornado of flames at Croconaw. The flames sped towards him faster than he thought, and he was sent to the ground.
"Naw!" Croconaw roared.
"Chip Away!" Croconaw charged Flareon, flailing around. Flareon managed to dodge a few of the strikes before being pummeled.
"No!" Flara, the Flareon's trainer, cried. Flareon got up and tried to bite down on Croconaw. Croconaw smirked and crunched down on Flareon's tail.
"Blast it with Water Gun!" Croconaw smashed Flareon against the wall with great power.
"Flareon loses," Mistress Fiatsu sighed. "Drake wins!"
"This next performance will be done by Montana Sanders!" Joe Rapid exclaimed. People clapped as a spotlight opened up on Vulpix. The Fire Pokemon manipulated her body heat into the back of her tails, lighting the dress on fire. Vulpix danced around before standing on her back legs and spinning. A fantastic fire erupted and twirled around. The crowd awed in confusion until a pink light shined through the blazing fire. Vulpix leaped up with a tail of fire. She used her Extrasensory to create a dress of pure fire that raged with perfection.
"Blazing beauty!" All three judges agreed.
"Time for Espeon," Another dancer said. An Espeon just like Montana's walked onto the stage. The dancer looked just like the others, but had a light purple kimono with red jewels bordering it.
"Spinarak, go!" Drake's tiny spider-like Pokemon landed on the wooden stage.
"Espeon, use Psybeam quick," the dancer ordered.
"Shadow Sneak to dodge," Drake countered. The multicolored beam blasted from Espeon's jewel, but Spinarak disappeared into his shadow. Espeon purred protectively, but Spinarak came up from underneath, sending her high in the air.
"Hurry use Swift!" Espeon hit Spinarak with star shaped beams, angering the Bug type. Spinarak shook the attack off and darted into the air in a black blur. His tiny front legs darkened, smashing into Espeon numerous times. Espeon fell to the ground limply.
"That was too quick," Mistress Fiatsu lectured. The Espeon dancer recalled her Pokemon and hid behind the curtain. "You are very strong, Drake Smith. I doubt you can beat my husband!"
"Time to see who made it to the first battle round," Joe said, turning to the screen. Montana and Bishop's pictures appeared side by side.
"The first battle will be between Bishop and Montana!"
"We meet once again, Tana," Bishop snickered.
"Only my friends call me that," Montana growled.
"Awe, I thought we were friends," Bishop laughed as he threw out his Pokeball. His Roserade flashed out, arms crossed across her chest.
"Skorupi, time to go!" Montana's purple scorpion-like Pokemon popped out of his Pokeball for the first time.
"Pi," the Pokemon whimpered as the lights hit his face. Montana kneeled down.
"Skorupi, you will be great," Montana comforted her Pokemon. The Pokemon cheered up and slashed his claws together.
"Roserade, use Sunny Day first," Bishop ordered, thinking Skorupi would be an easy win.
"Acupressure, Skorupi," Montana said, strategizing in her mind. Skorupi stabbed his body all over, enhancing himself for battle.
"Now, Solarbeam!" Roserade put both flowers together and blasted a beam full of solar energy provided by the artificial sun.
"Dodge!" Skorupi moved within a blink of an eye. The blast of energy hit the stage floor and made a clear hole through it. Roserade landed back on the ground, looking around for Skorupi.
"Pin Missile!" Montana yelled. Skorupi's pincers glowed bright green, blasting tiny green needles at Roserade. Roserade fell frontwards as the Pin Missile smashed into her back.
"Roserade, Weather Ball!" Roserade rolled into a jump, blasting a fiery ball of flames at Skorupi. The Bug Pokemon made a quick judgement and dodged in a blur.
"How is it so fast?" Bishop whined.
"I don't know, but use Bite," Montana ordered. Skorupi clenched down on Roserade's arms and held on for dear life as she swung it pain.
"Get it off you!" Bishop cried. Roserade flailed around, but Skorupi would not let go.
"Pin Missile up close," Montana ordered quickly. Skorupi's tail pincer blasted Roserade in the face with the light green needles. The beautiful Grass Pokemon fell flat on her back, twitching slightly.
"Roserade is out!" Joe boomed. Skorupi let go and leaped in Montana's arms.
"We won!" Montana cried. Bishop glared and walked off stage.
"Umbreon, time to fight!" The dancer named Darka roared. Her Umbreon pounced on the floor, making Drake gaze at it.
"Scizor, time to battle one more time!" Drake yelled, energy running through his veins. Saying Scizor's name for battle gave him a rush. His Kanto Pokemon appeared with his claws across his chest.
"Zor," Scizor grunted.
"Ready to battle again, friend?" Drake asked. Scizor nodded and slashed his claws together.
"Umbreon, use Confuse Ray," Darka ordered. A small circular beam shot from Umbreon's middle circle on his head.
"Dodge into X-Scissor!" Drake roared. Scizor blurred from everyone's sight and smashed a glowing green claw into Umbreon's back.
"Such a speedy Pokemon," Mistress Fiatsu commented. "My husband will have trouble with this one." Scizor took his place in front of Drake and glared at Umbreon as it got back up.
"Bre," The Dark Pokemon growled.
"Shadow Ball!" Umbreon jumped in the air, blasting dozens of Shadow Balls by rolling. Scizor tried to dodge the many spheres, but he was overtaken. A huge explosion took place, shaking the studio. Scizor met eyes with Umbreon in midair as he emerged out of the smoke.
"Scizor, use Iron Head!" Drake roared. Scizor rushed Umbreon as they both fell. Umbreon tried to maneuver its way out of Scizor's path, but the Bug Pokemon's steel head smashed into its own. Umbreon fell to the floor unconsciously.
"Yeah, Scizor!" Drake cheered. Darka recalled Umbreon and another dancer quickly took her place.
"My twin and I do a double battle. Is that alright with you?" One of the twins asked. Drake nodded and grabbed two Pokeballs, suspecting the next two Pokemon.
"Our names are Alpine and Frost," Frost said. She wore a nearly white kimono with a blue tint to it. Alpine bowed with her green dress and pigtails.
"Glaceon!"
"Leafeon!" The twins yelled. Both Eeveelutions popped out of their balls and stood side by side.
"Crobat! Quilava!" Drake's Pokemon flashed out and glared.
"Frozen Magical Leaf," The twins said together. Leafeon released dozens of multicolor leaves while Glaceon blew them forward with an ice cold breath.
"Quilava, use Quick Attack while Crobat stops it with Heat Wave!" Drake roared. Quilava charged both Pokemon with impeccable speed. Crobat breathed in deeply as a spark ignited in her jaw. She flapped, firing the massive wave of fire at the combination move. The moves collided, fire winning the struggle. Quilava slammed Leafeon hard, sending it flying into Glaceon.
"Crobat, now use Attract!" Crobat blinked, sending hearts at the Grass and Ice types. Both Pokemon were hit by the hearts, but a connection was not made.
"Girls silly," The twins giggled.
"Fine," Drake snarled. "Flame Wheel and Air Cutter!" Quilava rolled into a fiery ball, rolling fiercely at his targets. Crobat's wings glowed and spheres of air flew from them, hitting right beside Quilava.
"Ice Shard and Razor Leaf!" Both Eeveelutions began to fire icicles and leaves at Quilava, but the flames surrounding him melted and burned them away. He smashed into both of them, ending the battle.
"That was good, Drake," Mistress Fiatsu commented while clapping her hands slowly. "My husband will now battle you. You must choose your Pokemon first. He will have the advantage, and if you beat him, you will get to speak with him!" An old man rolled in on a wheel chair. He had a perfectly rounded head with no hair and eyes so squinted the pupils were not visible.
"Drake Smith, I've been expecting you," he said. "Choose your Pokemon!"
"Dodrio, go!" Another one of Drake's Kanto Pokemon took the stage. Dodrio pecked at the ground and glared at the elderly man.
"Fine. Trusty Jolteon will give you a good fight!" An older Jolteon took the stage. Its spikey fur looked thinner and more pale than the one before.
"Thunder Wave," the Master ordered. Blue electricity crackled and the Pokemon sent it flying.
"Dodrio, dodge!" Dodrio glared at the electricity and then ducked it at the last second.
"Thunder Fang!" Jolteon leaped in the air with an electrified jaw.
"Tri Attack!" Each of Dodrio's heads formed a beam of energy. Fire, ice, and electricity were send right square in Jolteon's chest.
"Jolt!" The Master's Pokemon cried as it hit the roof with a loud thud.
"Now, use triple Hyper Beam!" The beams stopped for a second, but then each beam was replaced by a powerful beam of overwhelming energy. The beams smashed into Jolteon, blasting the roof open.
"My Jolteon!" The Master cried, watching his faithful Pokemon fall from the sky.
"Get it," Drake ordered. Dodrio used his mighty jumping abilities and caught the Jolteon midair.
"I see you mean business. Come with me and we can talk," Master Fiatsu said, rolling to a private room in the back.
"Finally, we are down to the final two. Do you know what that means?" Joe roared into the microphone. The crowd roared along with him. "Yes, the Double Battle finale!" Montana and another girl walked onto the stage. The girl had short spiked black hair with pink tips. She wore a short pink jean jacket with a white tank top. "Montana Sanders versus Loisa Boris
"You're cute," the girl complimented Montana.
"WOAH," Montana said in awe. "How bout we just battle? Vulpix, Skorupi!" Vulpix and Skorupi emerged from their individual Pokeballs.
"Fine then! Girafarig and Pinsir, go!" A odd looking giraffe-like Pokemon came out first. It's second head on its tail chomped down ferociously. The second Pokemon, a Pinsir, snapped its giant pincers powerfully.
"Begin!" Joe shouted.
"Vulpix, use Fire Spin to guard Skorupi while he uses Acupressure," Montana strategized.
"Girafarig, use Psychic to stop the Fire Spin, then Pinsir, use Thrash!" Girafarig's eyes glowed pink as Vulpix fired the Twister out of her mouth. Pinsir became super angry and charged Montana and her Pokemon.
"Fight back with Extrasensory and then aim Fire Spin at Pinsir!" Montana roared as Pinsir got closer. Vulpix's eyes glowed powerfully, spinning the fire tornado.
"PIX!" The Fire Spin erupted into total flame, knocking Pinsir back and causing Girafarig to cease her Psychic. Skorupi looked up as he was done with the Acupressure.
"Time to go," Montana snarled. "Vulpix, use Fire Blast! Skorupi, fire a Pin Missile as well!" Both Pokemon breathed in before firing their attacks. Vulpix's humanoid fire attack was surrounded by tiny green needles.
"Psybeam and Revenge, my sweets," Loisa ordered. Girafarig launched a multicolored beam from its horns while Pinsir glowed orange and charged again. The Pin Missiles continued forward, smashing into Girafarig. Pinsir jumped over Skorupi and smashed its fist into Vulpix.
"Finish it!" Loisa roared. Pinsir stood over Vulpix menacingly.
"Inferno! Skorupi, use Bite!" Skorupi launched himself forward, biting on the Psychic Pokemon's neck. Vulpix erupted into flames, and she sent them onto Pinsir. Both of Loisa's Pokemon flailed around, falling almost in unison.
"Montana wins!" Joe shouted. The crown applauded, and Montana held both her Pokemon tightly.
"What do you need to speak with me about, Drake," Master Fiatsu asked.
"Well, I am involved in this Great Prophecy that will bring destruction onto this world, but I have figured out that this was started by somebody. I need to figure out how they started this and then end it in the same way," Drake explained.
"You are correct when you say this was started by someone. You should not go searching for those answers though. They will strike you harder and deeper than anything before. This can end, but the Mystic Realm, the realm above Arceus', has become nearly locked and sealed forever. The Old Ones have begun their descent into nothingness. They were granted peace there when the Gods took over. Since whoever breached their realm and started the chain of events that are happening now, their realm is getting closer and closer to die. However, if their realm dies before their prophecy is ended, the Old Ones will remain here as a curse set by this awful Prophecy. As I am told, the Old Ones are using every last bit of power to keep their realm alive, but there is no way that it will stay alive through this Prophecy," the Master answered.
"So, this Prophecy isn't set?" Drake quizzed.
"Nothing in this life is set, son. The Prophecy has set locks to the Mystic Realm. Those locks are breakable by you and another one set to be involved in this Prophecy."
"A Light Aurer?" The Master nodded.
"How do we get into it?" Drake asked again. The Master breathed slowly.
"The only way into it is by going through Arceus' Realm, and that is closed now because of the events that have been going on," the Master answered once more. "You must enter the realm in the place closest to Arceus and then you must use your power to open the Mystic Zone. The Light Aurer is there to give you his power, so yours does not absorb you. That is all I know. I know I said you don't need to know how it started, but there is one detail that is secret to everyone that knows. We monks think that something must be given to the Mystic Realm to make the process true. We just don't know what that is yet, and we may never know. Not even Arceus knows." Drake sighed. The two continued talking for hours.
"You should be more careful, Tana," Bishop snickered as he caught Montana leaving the Style Hall with Tony and Soleil by her side.
"Is that a threat?" Montana snarled.
"Simply a gentleman's gesture. I am not the person to mess with in these type of competitions," Bishop answered. "I don't even know how you have even won a competition. Your Pokemon are all ugly like you and your friends!" Montana broke down. She tried to stay strong, but being called ugly softened her.
"How dare you!" Tony roared.
"What pipsqueak?" Bishop laughed in his face.
"Wait till Drake hears about this," Soleil warned.
"That idiot? I'm shaking!" Bishop rolled his eyes and walked away.
"Let's get back to the Pokemon Center," Tony said.
"Well, I am a little closer to where I was before. Thanks, Master Fiatsu," Drake said, bowing respectfully in the monk's presence.
"You must use Celebi to gain what you need, but Celebi is never in the same place," the Master said as Drake walked out of the room.
"Time to go explain everything to the group," Drake sighed, walking into the night sky of Ecruteak. A cool breeze hit him. "Maybe it's time to start dressing warmer."
A/N- So here is a long a** chapter in honor of my triumphant return after my computer is done with hating me haha. I really like this chapter a lot. It may be long, but there are a lot of good battles.
Q1: Have you missed me?
Q2: What do you think Drake will find in his new plan to put an end to the Prophecy before the Great War will happen? Will he succeed?
Q3: I'm going to start collecting OC's for Sinnoh. I already have a traveling partner duo, but I need rivals. If you are interested, PM me. Or if you want to submit a Guardia for Sinnoh or any other region bring them on. I still will use them even if Drake ends the Prophecy early (still haven't decided yet lol!)
Read and Review please. I'm working to bring this story back to greatness, but all my work does nothing if I don't have followers...
Go by and read JohtoBlue's stories. He is in need of some motivation.
Go and check out Allorasilverfield! She has excellent stories that haven't had a lot of attention yet. I have another collab called From Childhood to Destiny on her page. It's really good!
Go check out my other stories too! That would be perfect! Jakob Spruce is just getting started and Twins is on a small break as of late, but its a good time to catch up!
