Chapter 52:
-SEPTEMBER 13th-
~TRIS POV~
**Buzz** Buzz**
I reach for my phone since the sound of a text wakes me up. Well, it gets me to open my eyes. I've actually been lying awake for a few minutes now, just thinking about how excited I am for today. I can't believe that this time tomorrow, I'll be waking up with Tobias, as my husband. I still don't know what I ever did to be so lucky. But I won't take it for granted. I'll accept that I've been blessed with good fortune and try to just be the best person and wife I can be, maybe my good karma will continue.
I have a feeling I know exactly who has texted me, so I grin as I glance at the screen. As expected, it's Tobias.
Tobias: Good morning love! How did you sleep? My bed felt very empty without you, I didn't like it one bit.
I know exactly what he means. As cheesy as it sounds, when you sleep next to the love of your life every night, going without is like torture. It took me hours of tossing and turning and the only way I ended up dozing off, is just closing my eyes and picturing he and I relaxing on our beach together.
Christina and the rest of our family and friends insisted we don't see or speak to each other until the ceremony. Not only because it's bad luck, but they just said it's a fun tradition. We reluctantly agreed, knowing we could at least sneak in some texts.
Me: I know, I didn't sleep so well either. I think once Christina sees the dark circles under my eyes from lack of sleep, she will regret her insistence of the silly tradition. But on a good note, I'll be your wife as of this evening. So no more silly reasons to be away from each other after that.
Tobias: Well, that's true. And I'm very much looking forward to it. Can't I just sneak over to your hotel room and at least give you a kiss? Your only one floor above mine.
Me: I'd say yes, but I hear the girls out in the living area, I know they'll throw a conniption fit. Maybe we can sneak out on the balcony, I'm a good climber.
Tobias: As much as I want a kiss, we're not risking your life or any broken bones for it.
Me: Alright then, your loss.
Tobias: I guess the next time I'll be kissing your sweet lips, you'll be my wife.
Me: I guess so. :)
Tobias: We just arrived at the beach, so me and the guys can start setting up. I'll see you this evening. I love you!
Me: I love you too! xoxo
Tobias: xoxo
As I smile and go to put my phone down on the nightstand, my doors bursts open and Christina strides into the room, goes straight for the curtains and quickly pulls them open, letting the sun shine through right into my face.
"Dammit Chris, you're going to blind me."
"Good morning to you too. Now it's time to get up! I already let you sleep in until 10 o'clock. Be happy." she says as she rips the comforter off me.
"I'm not getting married until 5 o'clock, so we have plenty of time." I remind her.
"That may be, but we still have to help decorate, then come back here to the hotel to get ourselves ready." she says as she shoves a pair of black leggings and a long sleeve white shirt into my hands. "Now go get dressed and we'll have a light breakfast. I'm having room service bring us up some eggs, toast and fruit." she says with a smile.
"Thank you." I tell her. Even though she's being a bit demanding, I know she's doing it good naturedly. Plus, to be honest, I find it pretty awesome that she's taking charge a bit. It relieves me of any stress, knowing my wedding details are in good hands.
I go get dressed, put my hair in a ponytail and go eat breakfast with my trusty maid of honor and bridesmaids.

"So, the guys already set up all the big stuff, like tables and chairs. My parents, sisters and Evelyn are here already too, helping to set up. We just get to work on the finishing touches and make sure you like it all before we go back and get ready." Christina says as we get out of her car, all carrying the boxes of random stuff to the sandy beach.
"Okay, sounds good. But it already looks amazing." I say as we approach the scene before us.
There is a long wooden rectangular table set up one way, as the bridal party table. Then 5 more rectangular wooden tables set in a row the other way, for all the guests. They're covered in white table cloths and the topped with burlap and lace table runners.
Christina's parents appear to be draping the burlap style curtains around the bamboo arch off to the side, where the ceremony will be. The 50 or so white chairs are already lined up facing the arch, leaving a space down the center for the 'aisle'.
Evelyn and Chris' sisters are setting several metal candle lanterns out along the length of the tables.
This is already turning out so much better than I expected. I explained that we like the idea of our beach wedding to be rustic, but chic. Tobias agreed and said he loved the idea. We simply pointed out pictures of things we liked, and Christina and the others took charge and made it happen, for which I am extremely grateful. Christina has done most of the planning and coordinating, and insists it's fun and she enjoys it, which I don't doubt. She even wants to consider getting into being an official licensed event planner. But it's still a lot of work, especially with a baby who isn't even a year old yet.
Everyone comes and greets us as we approach and proceed to point out what they've done so far and what still is to be done.
So we set up the tables further with mason jars of flowers, candles and table settings.
There are restrooms up by the parking lot and somehow Christina's dad was able to run electricity from the bathrooms with a gigantic extension cord, which he has hidden from the view of guests. So now there are white twinkling lights in the nearby trees. It looks good now, but will look even more incredible as it starts to get dark.
We help arrange some side tables where the cake will be, as well as a side area specifically for the food buffet. Which is one point Christina seems to be worried about since she has yet to hear from the caterer. She still thinks it's odd that we chose BBQ for our food. But Tobias and I both love it, especially from this particular family owned place called Sonny's that's nearby and agreed to provide our food for this special day. They'll be bringing pulled pork, tri-tip and brisket. As well as several sides like corn on the cob, truffle 5-cheese macaroni and cheese, potato salad, collard greens and rolls. They'll also have some chili rubbed vegetable kabobs, which I'm sure our few vegetarian guests will appreciate. We don't care if BBQ food is messy or untraditional. It's good comfort food and we'd rather have that than a small portion of fish and caviar or whatever it is that weddings often have. But we admit, it was good news when Sonny said they could have small hot wet towels handed out to guests after the meal to clean up after with. Just like they do at the BBQ restaurant. Quite clever.
Once we finish setting up most of the table decorations, Chris' parents insist they'll finish up and will wait for the cake and food to arrive. Plus, we'll need someone there to stay and keep an eye on everything until guests start to arrive. So after thanking them repeatedly, us girls head back to the hotel to get ready.
After we arrive, we still have quite a few hours to go. So we all get facials and massages. Then we head up to our rooms, where I shower, put on my selected under garments, and a white robe. I leave that on as they do my hair and makeup. Even though I feel like they're putting on a ton of make-up, I'm glad to see the final look ends up fairly simple. More predominantly than normal, is the slight smoky eye and light pink/coral lipstick, which brings out the light blush of my cheeks. My hair is down and wavy, but the sides are pulled up into a connecting braid. As we put on the final touches, such as the little white flowers into the braid of my hair, and as per tradition, my 'something new'- which is the small diamond starfish earrings Evelyn gifted me last night, 'something old'- the white gold pearl necklace that I inherited from my mom, which she wore at her and my dad's wedding 26 years ago, 'something borrowed'- a pair of white sandals. I pointed them out saying they'd be perfect with my dress, as I refused to wear heels on the sandy beach. But then Christina bought them for herself and let me 'borrow' them (because she knew I had yet to find something to fit into the 'borrowed' category) and 'something blue', which is my father's memorable light blue handkerchief, which I had sewn underneath the skirt of my wedding dress.
Christina and my bridesmaids finish up as well. All are different style dresses, as I let them pick out whatever they felt most comfortable in. But they all decided to get them in the same color green that I liked, and all are strapless and about knee length. They really ended up going well with the rest of the wedding colors, which wasn't intentional, but ended up being white, green and a few various colors of tan. Again, very organic, beachy, rustic and chic looking. I love it.
Once we're all good to go, we pile into the limo that Caleb apparently surprised us with and drive off. As we arrive, the girls get out and make me stay hidden inside the vehicle until the relay messages indicate it's safe for us to go behind the area they barricaded off with a small pop-up tent. Once inside, Evelyn, Christina's parents and Caleb come and greet me. I start to get teary when Caleb sees me, the proud and emotional look on his face. The expression in his eyes reminds me of my mom, and his smile, a splitting image of my dad's. I try to blink back the tears so not to ruin my makeup. I'm thankful Christina not only has tissues in hand, but also was smart enough to use waterproof makeup.
Outside this small enclosed tent, we hear the acoustic guitar of Andy, who is Marlene's brother and musician. He, and his small band, agreed to play here for our wedding. As the guests take their seats, I hear the covers they're doing, currently ranging from the Beatles and Journey, to the Lumineers and Jack Johnson. Hiring them was obviously a great choice on our behalf, they sound amazing, even from in here. They continue to play, then we hear them start to play "I'm yours", by Jason Mraz. Even though they aren't doing the vocals with this song, we know it's the cue for the ceremony procession. Caleb peeks out through a small slit of the tent and informs us as to how it's going.
"Okay, Four and Evelyn are coming out of the other small tent." He pauses, then continues to give cues to my bridesmaids when it's their time to walk.
By now, Christina's mom has handed her Avery, who thankfully, is in a very good mood and looks adorable in her little gold dress and small white flower in her curly hair. Christina gives me a hug and exits on her cue. Caleb informs me that she's walking down the aisle now, Avery in her arms. Although Avery successfully clutches onto the small flower girl basket, she's too small to know to toss pedals out. None the less, she looks beautiful, as does Christina.
Then Caleb looks to me. He smiles and nods. I know it's my turn as the Jason Mraz song ends and they begin playing an acoustic version of the traditional wedding march.
"Nervous?" He asks.
"Nervous that I might trip and fall on my face? Yes. Nervous to marry Four? Not at all." I say with a smile. He grins back and loops his arm with mine.
"You look beautiful by the way."
"Thank you. You look handsome too." I say as. I fix his boutonniere.
Then he holds the tent flap back with his free arm. As we emerge, the guests all stand and watch as he escorts me down the aisle.
I thought for sure I'd be seeing the friendly faces and smiles of all our friends and family that have graciously come to share this day with us, despite it being quite a distance to travel for several of them (especially if you consider my Aunts, Uncles and cousins who flew in from Chicago). But I don't. I am happy to know they're there, but I don't see them, because I can't seem to take my eyes off Tobias.
He stands there, in a perfectly fitting white button up shirt and tan suit. He somehow pulls off looking formal and casual at the same time. Either way, I think he looks more handsome than I've ever seen him. His hair and skin look almost golden as the sun just starts to set behind him. He looks back at me with his deep blue eyes, which never falter from me as I slowly approach him. The way his eyes smile, show so much happiness and his smile gets bigger the closer I get.
I know I must be replicating that smile on my own face and before I know it, I have walked the length of the aisle and now stand just a couple feet before him. Caleb leans in and kisses me on the cheek. "I love you sister. Go get him." He whispers to me, then looks to Tobias, shakes his hand and then places my hand into Tobias'. I step so that I am facing Tobias and we continue to mirror each other's smiles.
"Hi." Tobias whispers to me.
"Hi." I whisper back.
We both seem like we're on the verge of whispering something else, but the minister begins to speak.
"Good evening and welcome. I am thrilled to be here on this beautiful summer day, to celebrate the love and union of these two fine young people before us." He pauses, and the guests take this as their cue to sit back down in their seats.
"Marriage is the union of two people, in heart, body and mind. It is intended for their mutual joy – and for the help and comfort given one another in prosperity and adversity. But more importantly – it is a means through which a stable and loving environment may be attained. Through marriage, Tobias and Beatrice make a commitment together to face their disappointments – embrace their dreams – realize their hopes – and accept each other's failures. Tobias and Beatrice will promise one another to aspire to these ideals throughout their lives together – through mutual understanding – openness – and sensitivity to each other."
"We are here today, before God, to witness the joining in marriage of Tobias and Beatrice. This occasion marks the celebration of love and commitment with which this man and this woman begin their life together."
"Who gives this woman in marriage to this man?"
"I, her brother. As well as our parents, in spirit." Caleb speaks from his place standing with Tobias' groomsmen.
I hold back my tears at his words and continue to smile. Although I would do practically anything to have my parents physically here with me today, I am at such peace right now. This is the best day of my life and I know they are here with me.
I continue to gaze into the eyes of the man I love with every ounce of who I am, and he continues to look at me with such love and adoration that my mouth feels dry and I really hope I'm able to speak when it comes time. He holds my hands in his, rubbing small circles on the top of my right one.
The minister nods in Caleb's direction and continues.
"Marriage is a special place, the sheltered environment in which we can endlessly explore ourselves in the presence of another and in which we can offer the possibility of true reflection of another.
As the writer Richard Bach has so beautifully stated, 'A soul mate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we're pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person we're safe in our own paradise. Our soul mate is someone who shares our deepest longings, our sense of direction… Our soul mate is the one who makes life come to life.'"
"Marriage is the incubator of love, the protected environment in which a love that is personal and touching and real can grow and, as a consequence of that growth, develop in us our highest capabilities as loving human beings. We are always growing, and when we marry, we promise not only our own growth, but also our willingness to witness and withstand the ongoing growth of another human being. That is because in marrying we promise to love not only as we feel right now, but also as we intend to feel. In marriage we say not only, "I love you today," but also, "I promise to love you tomorrow, the next day, and always." He looks around at everyone and continues to speak effortlessly.
"Enfolded in joy, inhabited by hope, bathed in the infinite spectrum of light that is love, may you always be infused with it and beautifully illuminated by it. May every desire you have for your love be fulfilled, and may you be given the vision with which to clearly behold one another, the listening with which to perceive one another most genuinely, and the endless generosity of spirit with which to nourish one another's soul and sweetly keep the promises you make here today."
The minister now directs his attention more to Tobias directly.
"Do you Tobias James Eaton, take Beatrice Elizabeth Prior, to be your beloved wife, knowing in your heart that you will be her most faithful friend and loving companion? On this special day, in the presence of family and friends as witnesses, do you give your sacred vow that you will always be with Beatrice and support her, in times of sickness and in times of health, in times of joy and in times of sorrow? Do you promise to love her completely, to console and comfort her during difficult times, to laugh with her and to grieve with her, to share with her life's simplest but most enduring pleasures, to be truthful and honest with her, and to cherish her, for as long as you both shall live?" The minister asks.
"I do." Tobias says without waver as he squeezes my hand and offers me an even broader smile.
"Do you Beatrice Elizabeth Prior, take Tobias James Eaton, knowing in your heart that you will be his most faithful friend and loving companion? On this special day, in the presence of family and friends as witnesses, do you give your sacred vow that you will always be with Tobias and support him, in times of sickness and in times of health, in times of joy and in times of sorrow? Do you promise to love him completely, to console and comfort him during difficult times, to laugh with him and to grieve with him, to share with him life's simplest but most enduring pleasures, to be truthful and honest with him, and to cherish him, for as long as you both shall live?"
"I do." I reply, also without waver. It's then that I give his hand a squeeze and we remain smiling at each other like crazy.
"May I have the rings please?" the minister asks Zeke, Tobias' best man. I hand my bouquet to Christina to hold, as Zeke hands the rings over, and the minister continues.
"Tobias' and Beatrice's rings are an external and visible sign of the internal and spiritual bond of love which unites their two hearts. May they serve as a seal of the vows they have made to one another. Bless these rings, symbols of eternity, beauty and strength. Bless the couple who give them and wear them—may they ever live in harmony, unity, love, and happiness from this day forward. Tobias, please offer your ring to your bride and take a moment to add anything else you'd like to say."
Tobias takes the wedding band and holds it at the tip of my ring finger on my left hand.
"Beatrice." He says with the most endearing smile. "I give you this ring to wear upon your hand as a symbol of our unity, love, respect and trust. I have yet to really discover words strong enough to express how deep my feelings for you are. But as your husband, I promise to take each and every day to try and tell you and show you. I have always been a private and closed off person. But when I met you, I instantly felt the ability and desire to open up to you, trust you, and care for you. I knew early on, that you'd be my best friend, my confidant, the love of my life and my one true soul mate. I will do everything in my power to treat you right and make you happy, for all of my days. You have made me a better person and I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you. I am eternally grateful for you and I'm so proud to make you my wife."
He slips the diamond wedding band the rest of the way up my finger until it meets my engagement ring, fitting perfectly alongside it. Tears threaten to spill over, by I manage to withhold them for now. Letting them just brim to the edges of my eye lids, while I remain looking at Tobias and try my best to portray my love for him and how much this means to me.
Then the minister hands me his ring. "Beatrice, you may offer your ring to your groom." he requests of me. I bring the ring to the end of his finger, and begin what I had pretty much memorized I wanted to say. But I also kind of end up winging it, just saying what comes from my heart at the moment.
"Tobias, I give you this ring, as a symbol of my love and commitment to you. The first day I met you, when we made eye contact as I handed over your coffee and then about spilled a gallon of milk on myself, I knew that you were special." A few people chuckle, but I continue. "Even then, you found your way into my heart. We quickly became friends, and then before I knew it, I was falling deeply, deeply in love with you. Not only did you manage to help me find true happiness again, but you make me happier than I could ever imagine and more loved than I ever thought possible. With these vows, I promise I will love and honor you, respect and cherish you all the days of my life. I am truly blessed to be a part of your life and to call you my husband, my soul mate."
He grins back at me and I hear a few sniffles beside me from my bridesmaids, as well as from a few guests. Tobias' eyes are a bit more watery than usual, but I'm sure I'm the only one to notice.
"By the authority vested in me by the state of Oregon, I now pronounce you man and wife." The minister says. The ecstatic look Tobias gives me makes it so magical that I can't hold it anymore, and a tear spills over as I grin back at him. He notices, and gracefully and lovingly reaches up with one hand to wipe it away, and leaves his hand there for a moment, rubbing my cheek with his thumb.
"Ladies and gentlemen, friends, family, loved ones; it is with great pleasure that I introduce to you for the first time, Mr. and Mrs. Tobias Eaton." he addresses the crowd, then turns to Tobias. "You may now kiss your bride!" Reverend Williams finally announces.
With that, Tobias wraps his hands around my waist and eagerly pulls me against him and presses his lips to mine. This incredible kiss makes my knees weak. It is so full of love and devotion. Yes, it's been almost 24 hours since I last kissed him, which is much too long and therefore helps electrify this kiss. But on top of that, this kiss is a promise. It is sealing our commitment of marriage. It's our first kiss as man and wife, the first of our new life together.
We had previously agreed on a 'no tongue kiss' for the ceremony, but I feel him slip a little in, and I can't help but smile a little more into this kiss and offer him a little of my tongue as well. But thankfully, despite the passion we bring to this kiss, we still keep it appropriate for the occasion. He dips me back slightly as the kiss concludes, then pulls back with a giant grin. I am still grinning too and he kisses my ring finger as we face our friends and family. Christina is smiling and crying as she hands me back my bouquet and we make our way back down the aisle, arm in arm. Our friends and family cheer and holler so loudly that Tobias and I laugh with joy all the way back down the aisle.
The rest of our wedding party go and start taking some pictures with the photographer, while the guests go to where we have the area set up for the reception. They're offered a variety of other drinks at the little bar that we've set up and Tori offered to run with a couple people from her cafe staff. We had told her we would just hire people and she should just come and enjoy herself, but she insisted. She told us to take the money we'd have paid, and use it towards the honeymoon instead.
Meanwhile, Tobias and I have a few minutes alone together. He takes me up shore a little bit, where a tree jets out with trunks in many directions. I sit on one of the low bits of trunk that grows horizontally before jutting up. Tobias comes and stands in front of me and holds my hands in his.
"You look so beautiful, like an angel. I can't even begin to describe how gorgeous you are Tris Eaton."
"You look quite gorgeous yourself, my handsome husband." I reply, the grin still not leaving my face.
"We did it. We're married." he says, matching my grin.
"Yep, you're stuck with me forever now." I tease as I poke his lapel.
"I couldn't be happier." he says.
We kiss again for a few minutes until were interrupted by the flash of the camera. Our friends and the photographer snuck up on us and we all giggle.
They pull us aside to take various photos with picturesque ocean and beautiful sunset behind us. To have such an amazing back drop for this special day, is breathtaking and wonderful. This beach has created so many memories for us. I know it's just a matter of time before we make more memories here.
"So, how does it feel to be married?" Christina asks me.
"Amazing. And this whole thing has turned out awesome, thank you for all your help. You're the best." I tell her sincerely.
"Yes, thank you so much." Tobias adds.
"You're very welcome Tris, and Tobias James." She says with a smirk.
"Yeah, Yeah. Now you all know my real name." he chuckles.
"I can't believe after all these years, we've finally found out." Marlene says.
"I know, how did we never see your ID or credit cards or anything all this time?" Shauna says with a laugh.
"Zeke and I have known his real name since we were kids." Uriah says with a smug smirk as he leans on his brother's shoulder.
"Really? You guys actually successfully kept a secret?" Will asks with a chuckle as he bobs a happy Avery up and down.
"I guess we did." Zeke says proudly and pats his brother's shoulder back.
"Why the change of heart?" Marlene asks Tobias.
"Well, as you probably guessed- my real name brought up some bad memories. So I was always good at being discreet about it. But I'm over it now, I've moved on, thanks to Tris. And I wanted my real name used at my wedding, not a nickname from school." he says and then looks to me with a smile.
"Well, Mr. and Mrs. Eaton, congratulations. We're all so happy for you." Christina says.
"Yeah, and this location is ridiculously beautiful." Marlene says as she sips her champagne that I didn't even realize she had brought over.
"I'm glad it worked out to have it here too. We love the beach, and this particular one is extra special to us." I say with a smile to my husband. "And our future house is only about 1/4 mile that way." I add as I point in the direction of the house he and I saw and fell in love with, even from the distance of the sandy beach we stood on. I laugh after this comment, obviously not being serious. After all, there's no way that house will go on the market, let alone be something we could ever afford to get. Our friends laugh too, but Tobias doesn't really. He just remains smiling at me.
"What?" I ask him.
"You sounded like you were joking just now, but that house might just be ours one day. And if not, we'll find one along this coast that's even better." he tells me.
"Wow man, you're serious?" Uriah asks, sounding excited, but somewhat in disbelief that he'd actually leave the city of Portland.
"You've always wanted to live this close to the ocean." Zeke says with a smile and pats Tobias' back.
"Well, it's not like it's happening next month or anything. But in the future, if this is where Tris wants to live, than I'm more than happy. Wherever she is, is my home." he replies as he takes my hand in his, twining our fingers.
Just then, Caleb, Susan and Evelyn join us, and the photographer comes back after switching camera lenses and continues to take more pictures of us and our friends and family.
After, they go and join our guests as the dinner buffet is put out. But Evelyn stays back with Tobias and me.
"Thank you for letting me be a part of this with you." she tells us.
"Of course mom, we're glad to have you here with us." Tobias says, and for the first time in who knows how many years, he referred to her as his 'mom' to her face. He swallows thickly, but I can tell he doesn't regret saying it.
With that, she tears up and hugs him tightly.
"I'm so proud of you son. You have no idea how much I've missed you all these years, how much I craved to know you and be a part of your life. I thought for sure I'd missed my chance and would never be able to attend your wedding one day. But you've allowed me to be a part of it, of your lives, and I'm eternally grateful. And not that I'd have been able to have any say anyway," she starts to say with a chuckle, "But I absolutely give my approval. You and Tris are completely perfect for each other." she says. Then she releases him and hugs me. "Welcome to the family Tris. Thank you for everything, for helping my son to forgive me and let me back in his life, for letting me be a part of this special day, and for being a wonderful woman to him. He deserves the best, and if I hadn't met you and got to know you myself, I'd never have believed that there was someone out there actually good enough for him." she says as she releases me and takes both of our hands. Tobias and I are both speechless at this point and my eyes have teared up again. Although Tobias' aren't, I can tell these words mean a lot to him.
"Congratulations, both of you. I love you." she says as she leans in and kisses each of our cheeks, then walks back to the reception area without another word.
Tobias looks to me, somewhat in shock. Those are all basically things she's already said before at one point or another over the past 6 months or so. But that was one hell of a heartwarming speech, and to see how much love and appreciation she has. We didn't think twice about inviting her today, but she obviously felt it was a wonderful sentiment.
Tobias and I share a comfortable silence for a few moments after that. Then he kisses me again, before we eventually go join our party.
Everyone seems excited as they dig into the southern style bbq feast and are having a good time.
Throughout the night, Andy and his band continue to play acoustic renditions of songs by bands like Band of Horses, Broken Bells, Coldplay and The Shins, as well as some old classics and a few originals of their own.
When it's time for our first dance, Tobias leads me and sways me to the music. I relish the feel of him in my arms, the unique and wonderful smell that belongs solely to him, and the sound of him whispering how much he loves me in my ear. It's almost dark out now and the white lights twinkle behind us and the candles are lit on the tables around us.
After the song, we trade out and I dance with Caleb while he dances with Evelyn. Then we dance with each other again during for a couple more songs and the guests join us on the 'dance floor'. Almost constantly, various people come up to us and congratulate us. It's really nice to see all the friendly faces that have joined us for this.
After a while, when the cake finally shows up. Apparently the delivery van had broken down half way here. Even though it's over an hour late, I can't find it in myself to care. It's here, we're all having a good time, no big deal. Tobias points out how awesome I am for being calm about this whole wedding. He says he would have loved me and married me even if I was the bridezilla type, but he's glad I'm not. He says he appreciates my laid back and positive attitude.
We get pulled up from our spot at the dining table, to the beautifully decorated and decadent looking cake. Together, we cut the first slice. Our mouths practically drool as we hold up the bites for each other of the infamous chocolate cake that Tobias introduced me to. This time we have a full 3 tiers of it, enough to feed 100 people, even though we only have around 50 people here. He insisted we have enough for everyone to have two slices. So per his suggestion, we had the extra slices pre-boxed up in cute to-go boxes as a wedding favor for the guests to take-home. Tobias is always full of clever ideas.
As we enjoy our cake and champagne, our friends give heart whelming speeches and congratulate us again.
We down the glasses of champagne that we toasted with, then get up for even more dancing. I don't know how my legs are still carrying myself around, but I'm having too good of a time to notice.
"I love you so much." he tells me.
"I love you so much." I reply as my fingers fiddle with the hair at the base of his neck. His hands are wrapped around my waist and he continues looking at me like I'm the most beautiful girl he's ever seen. It makes my cheeks flush, but I couldn't care less.
"This turned out pretty great, huh?" he says.
"Yes, it was perfect. I mean, I could have married you in a courthouse and I'd still be the luckiest girl ever. But this was amazing. It's been better than my wildest dreams." I tell him seriously.
"Me too. If someone had told me a couple years ago that I'd be here, like this- I wouldn't have believed them."
"It's amazing how unexpected love can be."
"Yeah, and I've learned that if you accept it and embrace it, it can make you the happiest you've ever been." he says.
I crash my lips to his and wrap my arms more tightly around his neck while he clings to me as well.
After we kiss and giggle together for a while longer, everyone gets handed a lit floating paper lanterns. Then at the same time, we release them. We all sit on the sand and watch as they slowly float up into the night sky, and shine down onto the water that steadily washes onto the shore. They move higher and higher until they're out of sight. It's a magical site to see and seems to just add even more warmth and wonderfulness to this amazing night.
"Beautiful." I say.
"I agree." Tobias says. But when I look to him, he's looking at me. This isn't the first time he's done that, and it still makes my heart melt.
I lean into him and whisper "Take me on our honeymoon." ,my lips just brushing against his ear.
He smiles broadly and takes my hand and helps me off the ground.
We thank everyone profusely and hug everyone goodbye.
I hold the bottom of my dress up as he leads me to a shiny black 1967 Chevy Camaro parked right up front. I look at him, an eyebrow raised in question.
He shrugs and smiles as he opens the passenger side door for me.
"George insisted I borrow it. I wasn't going to turn down the offer." he says with a cheeky smile.
I chuckle and he goes around to the driver side. On the drive back to the hotel, our hands remain laced and my head on his shoulder. Every so often I kiss his jaw, neck or ear lobe, and he kisses my hand and rubs my leg.
By the time we arrive back, we head up to our hotel suite, where it seems someone has lit the room in dim lights, decorated the bed with white rose pedals and left a bottle of champagne to chill on the table.
The minute we enter the bedroom, we're kissing. It's slow and the epitome of passionate. As the back of my knees hit the bed, he moves his lips down to my wedding ring and kisses it, then trails kisses up my arm.
"Thank you for marrying me Tris." he says between kisses.
"It's my pleasure." I chuckle.
When his kisses make their way to my neck and then back up to my mouth, he pulls away slightly and cups by face with both his hands and rubs his thumb over my lips.
I look at him intently, my expression full of love. He brushes his nose against mine, his lips lingering barely an inch from mine. His closeness and breath on me makes my panties wetter and I crave to be closer.
I push his suit blazer off his shoulders and toss it over the side chair. I start to pull his dress shirt from where it's tucked into his pants, as he starts to unbutton it. Once his shirt is removed and his bare chest is before me, I kiss him again, letting my hands roam. I feel his hands trail up my arms and to the back of my dress. Knowing that it's a delicate and special garment, he gently turns me around to find the zipper. He slowly and carefully pulls it down and kisses my exposed shoulders and then down my exposed back as he unzips it lower and lower. He helps me step out of it and carefully drapes it over the chair as well. I face him and he looks at me in awe.
I stand before him in my lacy white bra and thong set that I had told my friends about. It's a bit fancier than anything I'd normally wear and it's obvious to be a 'bridal' set.
"Wow, is this one of the sets the girls got you?" he asks as he looks me up and down, biting his bottom lip.
"No, I picked this one out myself." I say with a small smile.
"I love it, you look amazing. You're so sexy baby." he says as he continues kissing my face, my neck, and my shoulders again. I unbuckle his belt and unzip his pants and let them drop to the floor. He kicks them off and remains standing there holding me, in just his white Calvin Klein boxer briefs. I chuckle to myself at the thought of how this is my version of him in sexy undergarments on our wedding night.
"What?" he asks with a teasing smile after hearing my chuckle.
"You're like my own Calvin Klein model. And I don't have to share you with anyone." I say with a smile as I play with the elastic of the shorts.
"I'm all yours love. And you, my sexy lingerie model, are all mine." he says, practically with a growl as he lays me back on the bed.
He cradles my face as he kisses me. Our lips mold together and tongues massage each other. He moves his way down and kisses my breasts through my white lacy bra. Fingers skimming around the edges, before caressing them. But he leaves the bra on for now. He works his way lower, taking care to slowly kiss down my torso, dipping his tongue briefly into my belly button, before making his way down further. He pulls his head back slightly to get a good look at me, that sexy crooked smile still on his face. Then he leans in and nuzzles me through my white lacy panties. His kisses through the thin material driving me wild and my hips instinctively arch towards him. He reaches his hands beneath me and caressing my butt before his fingers finally make their way to the white satin ribbons that are tied at my hips, holding the panties on without any elastic. He watches his own hand movements as he releases one of the bows, exposing one hip, which he kisses. Then looks up into my eyes as he releases the other, and kisses that hip. He slowly pulls the underwear away completely and tosses them over his shoulder.
"I love you." he tells me sincerely.
As I reply "I love you too.", his mouth is dipping where I crave it. He sensually kisses and licks and nibbles until I'm writhing in pleasure beneath him.
As my body slumps momentarily and I catch my breath, he moves his way up my body and kisses me. I then push him over so that he's on his back and I straddle him.
He reaches around and I unhooks my strapless bra. I smile and hook my fingers into the waistband of his boxers and slowly pull them down, relishing in the sight of skin that I expose. Once I've tossed them aside, I reach for his hardness and take it into my small hand. He moans at the contact and even though he's already rock hard, I glide my hands over him more as we kiss. He ends up rolling back over so that he's on top. I instinctively spread my legs for him and I feel his erection press against me. We continue to hold each other and kiss passionately as he pushes into me.
Making love to Tobias is always incredible, he's fantastic, connecting with me physically and emotionally. But this has heightened to an even higher level. The emotional connection and pull we've had for each other all day, the eagerness of marrying each other, the way our wonderful day turned out, this is just the icing on the cupcake.
"I'm totally fucking my wife right now." he says with a grin as he continues to move into me with an expert rhythm and kisses my shoulder.
I chuckle and reply. "My husband is fucking me so good right now."
"I love making love to you." he adds.
"Me too..." I start to say but a moan takes over as he leans up a little bit and continues his thrusts at a slightly different angle.
We look into each other's eyes in between kisses and I feel like we tune everything out around us. The room and surroundings are a blur, it's just me and him, moving as one being, until our pleasure gets to be too much and we come together, panting each other's names and murmuring sweet things to each other. We lay back on the bed together, but hold each other close. Still kissing each other's skin every so often, wherever we can reach. After about a half hour of laying together, partially talking about our wonderful day and partially just enjoying the comfortable silence, he sits back up and looks at me.
"Want to go again?" he asks sweetly, but has the hint of a smirk.
"Yes, please." I reply simply with a smile and then we're at it again and the pleasure ensues.

A/N-
Yay! They're married!
Just the same as Tris' dress, while browsing wedding websites and magazines with a friend for her wedding, I ended up getting quite inspired with how I pictured the decor of Tris' and Tobias' wedding. So I posted a few pictures on my tumblr if you're interested in checking them out!

Anyway, thank you for all the wonderful feedback with that last chapter. Let me know what you think about this one!
This story still has several chapters left, but it's somewhat nearing the end. Maybe another 8-10 chapters? Just a guesstimate.
But I have several other story ideas roaming my head, so when this one does eventually wrap up, I'll start another one!
Also, thank you Ractre1127 for proof reading! You're awesome!
