Riley's POV
"Riley, wake up." My dad says as he nudges me gently.
"It's Sunday." I mutter as I open my tired eyes.
"I just wanted to let you know that I'm taking Haley to the hospital to visit her sister." My dad tells me.
"You woke me up to tell me that?" I ask in annoyance.
"Well there's one more thing." My dad says as he takes a seat on the foot of my bed.
"What's going on?" I ask him curiously.
"You and Sam are going to be here alone for at least half an hour, and I want to make sure that you're not going to cross any boundaries." My dad tells me seriously.
"Dad..." I start to say.
"Listen to me Riley! If your friend sets foot in this bedroom, I will find out and there will be major consequences." My father says as he glares at me.
"To late." I say under my breath.
"What?" My father asks as his eyes grow wide with furry.
"Relax, it was a joke." I say with an eye roll.
"I'm not laughing." My dad mutters.
"Why are you in such a bad mood?" I ask him.
"I'm in a great mood." My dad growls.
"Dad." I say as I raise my eyebrows.
"I just hate the idea of you being alone with your boyfriend." My dad confesses.
"We're not going to do anything inappropriate, I promise." I assure him.
"That's what your mother use to tell her dad when he agreed to let us go out." My dad says as be shakes his head.
"See, you understand." I say with a smile.
"No I don't, because every time we were alone she'd get very flirtatious and then..." My dad starts to say.
"Dad stop!" I exclaim.
"Sex is something that you shouldn't do until you're older, much older." My dad says as he puts the emphasis on the "much".
"This is really awkward." I say as I avoid eye contact.
"If you're old enough to have a boyfriend, than you're old enough to hear the talk." He says seriously.
"Can't Mom give it to me?" I ask him hopeful.
"Your mother isn't here." He reminds me.
"I'll um, call her." I lie.
"Promise?" My dad asks me seriously.
"Promise." I say as I cross my fingers.
"Okay, I love you sweetheart." My dad says before kissing my forehead and walking out of the bedroom.
Line Break
As soon as my dad is out of the house, I run downstairs to see Sam.
"Sam!" I say as I run into his arms.
"Riley not now." Sam says as he gently pushes me away from him.
"Why not?" I ask slightly hurt.
"Your Dad talked to me before he left, and I don't want to do anything that might upset him." Sam says with a nervous look on his face.
"My dad isn't here." I say as I run my hands along his toned chest.
"I wouldn't be surprised if he set up security cameras all over the house." Sam mutters.
"Since you're not comfortable kissing me here, we should go out." I say with a cheeky smile.
"But nobody knows about us yet." Sam reminds me.
"So?" I ask with a shrug.
"Don't you think people will talk if they see us together?" Sam questions.
"Probably, but I don't care what they say." I tell him truthfully.
"Neither do I, you're the only person I care about." Sam says as he wraps his arms around me lovingly.
"Why are you so perfect?" I ask him suddenly.
"You think I'm perfect?" Sam asks me shocked.
"Yes, every time I'm with you I get butterflies in my stomach." I tell him.
"I know the feeling." Sam says with a chuckle.
"You do?" I ask him.
"How can I not get butterflies in my stomach when I have the most amazing girl on the planet staring up at me with her beautiful blue eyes?" Sam asks before pressing his lips against mine.
I kiss him back eagerly, but pull away when I hear the front door open. I gasp when I see Haley and my dad standing in the door way of the house.
"Riley Rose Fitz, what did I just tell you?" My dad yells angrily.
"D-Dad, what are you doing here?" I ask with a blush.
"Haley left her sweater upstairs." My dad says as he grits his teeth.
"Uncle Ezra, this is outrageous! I can't believe Riley has the audacity to make-out with her boyfriend in the living room! Did you see how much tongue they were using?" Haley asks in a teasing voice.
"Haley stop talking." I say in a warning voice.
"I just don't know where we went wrong with you." Haley says as she shakes her head.
"Riley, why don't you come with me to the hospital?" My father asks as he glares at Sam angrily.
"Sam and I are going to the movies." I tell him apologetically.
"I guess it's better than having you two at the house." My dad says thoughtfully.
"I don't know about that Uncle Ezra. Do you really want them making out in a dark room?" Haley asks with a smirk.
"Haley!" Sam and I shout at the same time.
"You two can go to the movies, but only if you take Mackenzie with you." My dad says after thinking about it for a minute.
"What? No way!" I exclaim.
"James isn't here, and I need someone to keep an eye on her." My dad says with a shrug.
"But Dad..." I start to say.
"We'd be happy to take her." Sam says as he nudges me gently.
"Mac, come downstairs!" My dad yells.
Within seconds, Mackenzie is in the living room.
"What is it Daddy?" She asks as she batts her eye lashes innocently.
"You're going to the movies with Riley and Sam." My dad tells her.
"Really? That's so exciting!" The seventh grader exclaims.
"Hurry up and get dressed." I say with an eye roll.
"Okay." Mackenzie says as she runs out of the living room.
A few minutes later she comes downstairs wearing an ugly pair of sweats and a hideous Christmas sweatshirt.
"God Mackenzie, I need to teach you how to dress." Haley says as she stares at the girl.
"I like your outfit Mackenzie, it's very modest." My dad says happily.
"Thanks Daddy." Mackenzie says with a smile.
"Have fun girls." My dad says before kissing our foreheads lovingly.
As soon as our dad is out of the house, Mackenzie takes off her sweats and sweatshirt. I gasp when I realize that Mackenzie is wearing booty shorts with a crop top.
"What are you wearing?" I ask as my eyes grow wide with shock.
"Clothes." She says with a shrug.
"There is no way you're leaving this house dressed like that!" I exclaim.
"Who are you my mother?" Mackenzie asks with an eye roll.
"No, but Mom would have a stroke if she saw you wearing that." I tell her seriously.
"Mom isn't here." She says with a mischievous smile.
"Change, or I'm calling her." I threaten.
"If you call her, I'm telling Dad that you and Sam were misbehaving." Mackenzie says with a wink.
"What? We haven't done anything!" I shout.
"Dad doesn't know that." She says with a giggle.
"Fine, I won't call Mom." I say with a sigh.
"And I get to meet a friend at the theater." She challenges.
"No!" I say as I shake my head vigorously.
"That's a shame, Dad and Sam were getting along so well." She says in a fake sad voice.
"Fine, one friend." I say to her.
"Great." Mackenzie says as she grabs her phone and steps out of the room.
Line Break
Sam, Mackenzie, and I walk up to The Rosewood Theater and stand in front of the ticket booth.
"They're showing To Kill a Mockingbird." I say as my eyes light up.
"Lets see that." Sam says as he squeezes my hand.
"You two have fun, I'm going to see We're The Millers." Mackenzie says as she stares at the movie poser.
"That movie is rated R, and you're only allowed to watch PG-13." I remind her.
"But my friend really wants to see that movie." Mackenzie says with a pout.
"Which friend are you meeting?" Sam asks her curiously.
"You don't know him." The seventh grader says as she stares at the ground.
"Did you just say him?" I ask with a sly smile.
"Yeah, what's the big deal?" She asks with a shrug.
Before Mackenzie can respond, Sam nudges me gently.
"What is he doing here?" He whispers to me.
I turn around and see Allen Deal, the most perverted junior at Rosewood High.
"Hey babe." Allen says as before he walks over to Mackenzie and kisses her forehead.
"Did you just call my sister babe?" I ask him angrily.
"Yeah, she's such a hottie." He says as he plays with her dark curly hair.
"Dude, she's in seventh grade!" Sam says as he steps between Allen and Mackenzie.
"Is he the friend you invited?" I ask Mackenzie.
Mackenzie nods her head slowly and grabs Allen's hand.
"We're leaving!" I shout furiously.
"No, I never get any alone time with him." Mackenzie says with a pout.
"That's a good thing." Sam says with a heavy sigh.
"What's your problem man?" Allen asks him.
"You're taking advantage of a twelve year-old." Sam says to him.
"I'm thirteen!" Mackenzie shouts.
"It doesn't matter, we're taking you home." I say as I grab my sister's hand forcefully.
"She's staying with me." Allen growls.
"Not on my watch." Sam says before punching his face.
"I'm going to murder you!" Allen screams.
Sam laughs before grabbing my hand and leading me and Mackenzie to the car.
Line Break
The car ride home is silent and awkward. Mackenzie glares at me furiously while I try to figure out what compelled her to invite Allen Deal to a movie.
As soon as we pull into our driveway, Mackenzie storms out of the car and runs upstairs to her room
"Wait in the living room, I'm going to talk to her." I tell Sam before following my sister upstairs.
I walk into my sister's room and see her sobbing on the bed.
"Kemzie, please don't cry." I say as I take a seat next to her.
"It isn't fair!" Mackenzie shouts.
"I couldn't let you go on a date with that creep, I love you way to much." I tell her truthfully.
"He's not a creep! Allen is the only person who cares about me." Mackenzie says through her heavy sobs.
"That isn't true! I care about you, and so do Mom and Dad." I say as I hold my little sister close to me.
"Really? Because you're always with Sam, and Mom and Dad spend all of their time worrying about you." Mackenzie says as she stares at the ground.
"So you're doing this for attention." I say as realization washes over me.
"No, I'm doing it because Allen loves me! He tells me everyday." Mackenzie says to me.
"Has he ever touched you, or asked you to touch him?" I ask my sister seriously.
"No." She says as she avoids eye contact.
"Please tell me the truth! I promise I'll protect you." I say as tears begin to form in my eyes.
"He hasn't touched me, but he has done other things..." She starts to say.
"What kind of things?" I ask her immediately.
"The other day I was at his house watching a movie, and he started to take my clothes off." Mackenzie says with tears streaming down her face.
"I'm going to kill that bastard, I'm literally going to kill him!" I scream furiously.
"He started taking pictures of me." Mackenzie says softly.
"Did you tell him to stop?" I ask her.
"Yes, but he told me he wouldn't show them to anyone else." My sister says with a sniffle.
I sigh before kissing her forehead lightly.
"Riley, I'm scared." Mackenzie says with a whimper.
"I'm going to take care of it, don't worry." I tell her gently.
Mackenzie nods before collapsing into my chest and sobbing violently.
"Sh-sh." I say as I stroke her dark curls.
I pull away from my little sister when my phone begins to buzz. A started gasp escapes my lips when I realize that it's a text message from A.
Break up with Sam before these go viral.
