"I cannot believe it has been 2 years!" Annis says as she gazes down at Llacheu playing with his rabbit on his rug from her chair at the table in the Royal chambers.

"I know. Seem like it was only yesterday that I gave birth to him." Gwen says and gazes lovingly at her son. She takes a sip of water from her goblet.

Today is Prince Llacheu Pendragon's 2nd birthday. After refreshing herself, Annis came to the Royal Chambers for a friendly chat with Gwen before everybody else arrives for the feast that evening in Llacheu's honour. Elena and Lord Godwin are due within the next hour.

"Mama?" Llacheu's voice pipes up from his place on the floor. Gwen stands, walks the few paces towards her son and lifts him into her arms.

"Hello my boy." she says and kisses his forehead.

"Where dada?"

"Dada is with Merlin, Llacheu." Gwen turns and walks back towards Annis, who smiles at mother and son together.

"See Nor?"

Gwen smiles then addresses Annis. "Would you like to visit Lady Lizzie and her daughter, Annis?"

"I would love to. It has been a while since I last saw her and that husband of hers. How is she faring with her daughter?" Annis asks as she stands from her chair and goes to open the chamber door as Gwen has her arms full.

"Thank you." Gwen says as she walks out of the door. Two guards stand to attention and then follow the two Queens and the little Prince. "They are faring very well. Little Eleanor is growing each day and Llacheu loves her."

"That's good to hear. I'm sure Llacheu will love being able to play with Eleanor when she is older."

"That's what we hope. Arthur and I are Eleanor's god-parents and Merlin and Lizzie are Llacheu's god-parents. We are all very close and hope that our children will be too."

"That is very sweet. Then again, it isn't much longer until the next Pendragon is born, is it?"

Gwen's hand flutters over her slight bump. "5 months until this little one is due."

They turn a corner and reach a small staircase. Annis allows Gwen up first and stays close behind, just in case Llacheu decides to move around and knocks Gwen off her balance. It has happened to Annis many times with her children.

"I am sure you are looking forward to it."

"We cannot wait."

...

"Nor!" Llacheu shouts as they arrive at and enter Lizzie and Merlin's chambers.

"Hello sweetie." Lizzie says quietly as she walks up to her visitors.

"Nor?"

"She's sleeping at the moment." Lizzie says then kisses Llacheu's head. Gwen passes him over to Lizzie.

"A very big Happy Birthday to you, my dear Llacheu." Llacheu giggles as Lizzie blows a raspberry on his cheek.

"Erlin?"

"He is with your father getting your present sorted." Lizzie looks up from Llacheu and fully notices Annis.

"My lady! Forgive me!"

"No harm done my dear. It is Llacheu's birthday after all."

"Still unkind of me Annis. You have come to visit me after all." Lizzie walks forwards and embraces the Queen as much as she is able with Llacheu in her arms. "It is nice to see you again."

"Good to see you too." A small squawk sounds in the room, so Lizzie hands Llacheu back and goes over to cradle her 2 and a 1/2 month old daughter in her arms.

"Hush now sweetheart. Mama has you Eleanor." Lizzie mumbles softly. After a moment, Eleanor calms. Annis walks over to Lizzie and gazes at the baby in her arms.

"This is Lady Eleanor Emrys of Camelot." Lizzie says proudly.

"She is absolutely beautiful."

"She is, isn't she." Lizzie leans down and kisses Eleanor's velvety forehead and holds her tighter in her arms.

At that moment, Merlin and Arthur walk through the door. Merlin bows his head towards Annis and then goes straight to his wife and daughter.

"I told you they'd be in here." Arthur says to Merlin as he passes and goes to kiss Gwen hello. "Annis, are you settling in your rooms fine?"

"Yes, thank you Arthur. Gwen and I have just been chatting and decided to visit Lizzie and Eleanor. I will take my leave now however, I should like to rest before this evening's feast."

"Of course. Percival is outside and would be happy to escort you back to your rooms." Arthur takes Llacheu from Gwen and holds him close.

"Thank you for your company Annis. It was very kind of you after your long journey here." Gwen says and hugs Annis goodbye.

"No, thank you Gwen. It has been a while since we last spoke. I shall see you tonight at the feast."

"Rest well Annis." Gwen says as the older Queen leaves the room.

"Arthur, did you manage to sort out the present for Llacheu?" Gwen asks as she goes back over to her husband and son.

"Yes, Merlin and I sorted it out and once all of our guests have arrived, we will give it to him."

"Arthur," Merlin pipes up. "can you pass me Llacheu and he can see Eleanor before she feeds."

"Of course." Arthur passes his son over and then turns back to Gwen and wraps his arms around her waist.

"How are you?" Arthur asks quietly.

"Tired, but okay at the moment." Gwen replies. Recently, Gwen has suffered from nausea during the day whilst feeling fine in the mornings and evenings.

"Are you sure? Gaius did offer to make you some vials of the remedy you had when with child with Llacheu."

"I know. If it gets worse, I will then go and ask for some." Gwen says and Arthur plants a kiss on her forehead.

"Good. I do not want you feeling ill all day." Arthur moves his left hand to cover the tiny bump on Gwen's stomach. "Has there been any movement yet?"

"No yet, no. I did ask Matilda as I felt Llacheu move before now but she said that babies will move when they wish to. We just need to be patient."

Arthur leans down and softly kisses Gwen then nuzzles her nose with his. However, their moment is cut short by a wail. Gwen moves to retrieve her son from Merlin whilst Lizzie moves to her nursing chair.

"I think that is our cue to leave. Godwin and Elena will be arriving soon anyway." Arthur says and guides Gwen to the door.

"I will meet you on the steps when their party has been sighted Arthur." Merlin says as he passes a cloth to Lizzie.

"No rush Merlin. Take all the time you need."

...

"Come on Llacheu, you need your sleep. Just a small nap for mama, please." Gwen says as she holds him in her tired arms.

"No!" he cries as he wiggles in his mother's arms.

"Llacheu Pendragon!" Gwen says and deposits him in his new bed - created for him for his birthday and enchanted with a spell so he will not fall out if he moves around too much at night.

"No! Mama!" he then begins to cry as Gwen walks away into the Royal Chambers. Tears begins to prick her own eyes as she hears her son's cries for his mama. She wraps her arms around herself as her mind conflicts against itself. Many ladies of the court have told Gwen that this is the best way for Llacheu to accept nap times. They achieved this with their children however, they had ordered their nursemaids to do such a thing so never had to listen to their children scream for them.

"Guinevere? Why is he crying for you?" Arthur asks, rushing through the door. He has just settled Godwin and Elena into their rooms. Mithian, Odin and Olaf accompanied with Lady Vivian are arriving within the next 3 hours giving Gwen time to rest and to try and get Llacheu down for a nap.

"I've been told it is the best way to get him down for his nap. However, I am not enjoying this at all. He is screaming for me."

"Who told you to do that?" Arthur asks, concern striking across his features.

"Ladies of the court. Although, I think they make their nursemaids complete this torture." Gwen says, now allowing a few tears to fall.

"Guinevere, this is wrong. They say for you to do this because they do not hear their child screaming for them. Go and calm our son." Arthur says softly.

Gwen rushes back to Llacheu and scoops him up immediately. He pushes his head into Gwen's neck and she holds him tight.

"I'm sorry sweetheart. Hush now, mama has you. Shh shh shh." Llacheu's cries quickly cease as he is cradled by his mother's arms. His hand grabs a lock of Gwen's hair, causing Gwen to smile. He won't let it go until he has fallen asleep.

"Mama." Llacheu mumbles.

"Shh. Sleep now, my baby boy." Gwen begins to move in small circles, her hand rubbing his back. Arthur leans on the door frame, smiling as he watches his family. After a few minutes, Gwen stills her movement and Arthur approaches them. Gwen checks that Llacheu has fallen asleep as she feels that he has released the lock of hair he was holding.

"Here, let me take him." Arthur whispers, gently transferring his son into his arms. They go over to Llacheu's bed and he carefully places him on the soft mattress. Gwen pulls his blankets over his little body and she kisses his forehead before pulling back, feeling Arthur's arms wrap around her from behind.

"I'm going to have to make a new blanket for Llacheu. I want this little one," her hands rub her bump and then lock with Arthur's. "and any other children we may have, to each cherish the blanket my mother gave to me. I just need to find a similar material, complete the same design and he hopefully won't notice."

"Don't worry about it now Guinevere." Arthur guides his wife back into their chambers and then, when they reach it, pushes her down onto the bed. "You need to rest, my love."

"Yes." Gwen agrees and swings her legs up on top of the covers. She draws her knees upwards towards her chest and feels a blanket draped over her body. She tucks it up towards her chin. Arthur smiles down at Gwen at her adorableness.

"I love you, very much Guinevere." Arthur says and kisses Gwen's forehead.

"I love you too."

...

"Down." Llacheu orders as he is held tightly in his mother's arms. Mithian's party had been spotted an hour after Gwen fell asleep and the Pendragons are now standing on the steps waiting to greet her. Her father is too sick to make the journey and her brother has returned and taken his place as King Regent.

"No Llacheu, you must stay with mama." Gwen says. She adjusts Llacheu's jacket as the breeze picks up and holds him a bit closer.

"Down, mama!" Llacheu orders louder.

"I said no, Llacheu."

Trumpets sound as the clapping of hooves enters the courtyard. Mithian leads the party, flanked by her swarm of knights who no longer wear the monstrous veils they had done previously.

The horses cease their movement and with his arm around her waist, Arthur guides his wife down the stairs towards the Princess. Leon goes ahead slightly and assists her from her horse.

"Thank you Leon." Mithian says, rose dusting her cheeks.

"My pleasure, my lady." Leon replies, then scurries further into her travelling party guiding knights to their rooms.

"Mithian, welcome back to Camelot." Arthur says, then respectfully kisses Mithian's hand.

"It is good to see you again Arthur, but mainly Gwen and dear little Llacheu." the Princess says cheekily and then hugs Gwen, before kissing Llacheu's forehead. "Happy Birthday!"

"Thank you Mithian." Gwen says smiling. "I hope your journey was pleasant?"

"As pleasant as it can be, thank you Gwen. A few days on horseback can make my legs ache a bit."

"Then we should escort you to your rooms so you may rest and freshen up for tonight."

"Oh, thank you!" Mithian exclaims and allows Gwen to guide her. "I have been up since dawn thanks to some of my knights drinking too much last night and rest is greatly welcome at the moment."

"I'm sorry to hear that Mithian." Arthur says, following behind the two women. "If you wish, I could send a few of my knights for your return journey to ensure it doesn't happen again?"

"Thank you Arthur, but that shall not be necessary. I have already threatened them enough." Mithian winks and then climbs the small set of stairs before her room.

"I dare not ask what threat you gave." Arthur says, laughing slightly.

"Better not to."

Gwen opens the door to Mithian's chambers and walks through.

"Down mama! Now!" Llacheu shouts again.

"Fine!" Gwen exclaims and places him on his feet. "There you go, Your Majesty. Goodness, if you couldn't tell that he was a Pendragon from his looks, you can tell from his temper."

...

"Odin. A pleasure to see you again." Arthur says and clasps arms with his ally.

"Good to see you too Pendragon. My lady." Odin bows and kisses Gwen's hand. He then ruffles Llacheu's hair causing him to tuck his face into Gwen's neck out of shyness.

"A happy birthday to your son, my lady. He is growing quickly!"

"Indeed he is. Has his father's temper also." Gwen says before kissing Llacheu's head, his face still hidden in her neck. "If you will allow, Sir Leon will escort you to your rooms Odin. We are expecting Olaf's party at any moment."

"Of course, my lady. As long as my rooms do not have a fire in them at the moment, I am content." Odin says and turns to his personal servant. He steps forward and asks Leon for directions and then sets off to his master's rooms to ensure he will be comfortable.

"My lord, if you are ready?" Leon says, stepping forward and bowing his head slightly.

"Yes, thank you Sir Leon."

"See you at the feast tonight, Odin." Arthur says and follows behind him until they reach the bottom of the steps.

"My lord." Percival walks up to the King and Queen. "Olaf's party have been spotted and will be approximately 5 minutes."

"Thank you, Percival. Could you ensure that Lady Vivian's rooms are spotless? Who knows how stuck-up she may be this time." Arthur says.

"Of course, my lord. Do you think that Olaf will mind having adjoining rooms to his daughter? They are the biggest rooms left for Royals and since they are blood..." Percival begins to babble slightly.

"That shouldn't be a problem Percival." Arthur reassures. "I cannot see a problem with that at all, so neither should Olaf. I am perfectly sure that if Vivian kicks up a fuss, Olaf will put her in her place."

"Yes, my lord." Percival bows and runs off to check the rooms.

"Mama, cold." Llacheu says and snuggles in a bit more.

"Oh, I'm sorry piglet." Gwen says and hold him tighter, rearranging his shirt to keep his body heat in. "Not much longer now."

"Is he okay?" Arthur says, walking back from a conversation with a new recruit, Sir Banner.

"He's cold. I do hope they arrive soon, it will not do well for him to catch a cold." Gwen frets.

"Olaf and Vivian will be here soon, my love. Do not worry. When we warm him up, we may be lucky enough for him to sleep again for another while."

"He probably will. He ran around Mithian's chambers as if he was running into battle!"

Just as Arthur is about to talk again, the sound of hooves slapping the cobbles can be heard and Olaf appears, Vivian riding to his left.

"How insufferable was she last time she was here?" Gwaine asks, seemingly appearing out of nowhere.

"Before and during, extremely insufferable. I was her maid for her stay and she was vile." Gwen says.

"What about after the enchantment?" Gwaine asks, interested after hearing rumours.

"She left Camelot still under the enchantment. I do hope it has broken in the many years since." Arthur says, a frown crossing his brow.

"How many years will that be?"

"6 or 7, I would say." Arthur replies. He begins to walk towards their new arrivals, Gwen close behind.

"Welcome Olaf. It has been many years." Arthur says as he clasps arms with the old goes over to assist Vivian from her she hits the ground, he kisses her hand and then returns to his duties.

"Indeed it has been Arthur. Forgive me for now visiting Camelot again in the past years. Only a few months ago, the enchantment was broken over Vivian." Olaf sighs and signals for his daughter to approach.

Vivian haltingly approaches Arthur and Gwen, her eyes not making contact with either of the Pendragons.

"Forgive me for my actions towards you when I was under the enchantment, my lord. I am ashamed by them." Vivian says, her voice meek.

"Vivian, you need not be ashamed." Arthur says causing Vivian to look up sharply. "As you are aware, we were both under the enchantment together. Mine was just broken long before yours, that's all. I have nothing to forgive because I experienced the same thing."

"Thank you my lord! However I know that I definitely owe an apology to you, my lady."

"Why me?" Gwen asks, already thinking she knows the answer.

"You served me when I was here and I treated you very poorly. I beg your forgiveness for treating you like a spoilt brat. It was unfair and extremely unkind of me."

"You are forgiven Vivian, as long as I have your word that you no longer treat servants that way." Gwen says, kindness in her voice.

"Of course!" Vivian exclaims, her eyes widening. "Ever since Patrick broke the enchantment, I have treated every single person with kindness."

"I did tell you Vivian, they would understand." Olaf says, patting his daughter's shoulder.

"Shall we take you to your rooms?" Gwen asks, feeling Llacheu shiver slightly in her arms.

"Yes please. It is rather chilly out." Vivian says and follows Gwen. Arthur chats with Olaf on their way.

"I do warn you though, your rooms are adjoining. They are the biggest ones left and as you are only staying one night, we hoped that you wouldn't mind." Gwen says to Llacheu.

"That is fine, thank you my lady."

"You can call me Gwen, Vivian. In fact, I encourage it."

"If you don't mind then I shall, Gwen." Vivian says with a smile. "How is little Llacheu on his second birthday?"

"Full of energy. Refused to nap when I wanted to originally earlier. He ran around Mithian's chambers and keeps ordering to be put down." Gwen shifts the Prince slightly in her arms once they reach the top of the staircase.

"He's rather quiet now. Is he okay?" Vivian asks with concern.

"He's a little cold and almost certainly tired. I may join him for a nap actually before the feast." Gwen says, yawning quietly.

"Of course! Your with child again, aren't you?"

"Yes, 4 months along at the moment. Not much to see and no movement yet." They reach the rooms but Gwen guides Vivian to the other door whilst Arthur shows Olaf his room.

"It must be frustrating for you Gwen." Vivian comments as they enter her room.

"What do you mean?" Gwen asks, confused at Vivian's comment.

"You know that there is a life inside of you but you cannot see it or feel them just yet." Vivian walks around her chamber smiling. "This is a very nice room Gwen."

"Oh yes, it is. I'm glad you like it Vivian." Gwen smiles at the change in Vivian, a change for the better. "Your possessions are on their way up and should be here soon Vivian. If you do not mind, I will be taking my leave now."

"No problem at all Gwen. I understand."

"Thank you. I shall see you at the feast Vivian."

...

"Guinevere, wake up my love." Arthur's voice drifts Gwen into consciousness.

"Mmm." Gwen scrunches in her sleep before opening her eyes, slowly. "How long until the feast?"

"About 2 hours but I remember you saying that you would like a bath. I have already sent Merlin to prepare the bath."

"What about the water?" Gwen asks.

"Merlin can fill it with water and heat it in the shimmer of an eye. Besides, he doesn't mind." Arthur says, helping Gwen sit up in bed.

"Is Llacheu awake yet?" Gwen lifts the covers and swings her legs out.

"Still sleeping and I thought we should keep it that way. He'll be up later than normal, being passed from person to person."

"Good idea. Was he still shivering when you helped him go to sleep?"

"No, he warmed up quick enough against me and drifted to sleep easy as well."

"Why he couldn't do that earlier, I don't know. Could you check on him please?"

"Yes Guinevere. Prepare for your bath so you can relax for a while." Arthur says, placing a kiss on her forehead before going to check Llacheu in his room.

Gwen stands and puts her dressing gown over her arm. She walks behind the screen and quickly empties her bladder before removing her gown and shift, replacing then with her dressing gown. As she comes out from behind the screen, Arthur walks back in.

"Fast asleep still. His little hands are clutching that blanket for dear life though."

"He might be having a nightmare. We should keep an eye on him." Gwen says, worry seeping into her voice. Arthur places his hands on her shoulders and looks into her eyes.

"He's fine Guinevere. His breathing is deep and even meaning that there shouldn't be a nightmare. He's probably just dreaming about something he wants to have." He draws her in and holds her. Gwen's arms go around Arthur's waist whilst her face goes into his neck. A knock sounds at the door and Merlin then walks in, the bath tub floating behind him. He places it next to the fireplace and with a flash of his eyes, it fills with hot water.

"Thank you Merlin. I really appreciate it." Gwen says as she walks to her vanity to remove the lavender oil she keeps in there.

"No problem Gwen. I shall come back in an hour and get rid of the tub for you."

"Thank you again." Gwen shouts as Merlin walks out, eager to see his daughter again.

Gwen tips some of the lavender oil into the steaming water and swishes it around with her hand. She then replaces the bottle on the vanity and feels Arthur grasp her waist.

"Oh, and are you assisting me with my bath, my lord?" Gwen teases. She turns and runs her hands up Arthur's arms until they reach his broad shoulders.

"Do you have a problem with that, my Queen?" Arthur asks raising an eyebrow.

"Not at all."

...

"This is a wonderful feast Gwen." Annis comments as the dancing begins. The feast has been occurring for about 2 hours and Llacheu still seem wide awake.

"Thank you Annis, I am glad you are enjoying it." Gwen smiles as she looks to her left and sees Llacheu talking to his father, patting his cheeks and giving him kisses.

"He really is adorable." Mithian says from her seat next to Annis. "I would love to have a child as adorable as him."

"And you will, one day. Although, no child is more adorable than your own." Gwen points out. Mithian smiles and Annis laughs.

"Gwen does have a point there, Mithian. You may want to take that into your mind."

"Oh really Annis? I take it you agree with that statement then?"

"Of course. While Llacheu is adorable, he is not as adorable as my own children." Annis says with a smile.

"Then I must hurry and have a child of my own and prove that theory!" Mithian announces and catches sight of Leon. Her cheeks flush and she feels her body heat rise.

"AT least now that your brother has taken over, you can marry whoever you please." Annis comments and looks over to Gwen who also noticed her exchange with Camelot's First Knight.

"What do you mean Annis?" Mithian asks, drawing her eyes away from Leon's location and praying her blush isn't hugely obvious to the two Queens.

"Oh, nothing at all." Gwen teases. "Just noticing your fascination with my First Knight, that's all."

Silence hangs between the three women as Mithian's mouth drops open. After a few moments, Mithian speaks.

"How did you know?"

"It is as clear as a summers day." Annis says. "Besides, it is not as if this longing is one sided, I have seen how he acts around you also."

"You should dance with him and admit your feelings for each other Mithian." Gwen says which causes Mithian's blush to deepen.

"I couldn't!" Mithian exclaims.

"Sir Leon!" Gwen calls out and Leon takes notice. He immediately excuses himself from his conversation with Percival, Elena and Lord Godwin and goes to his Queen's aid.

"My lady, is something the matter? Can I be of assistance?" Leon asks in a polite tone.

"Yes, you can help me Leon. Princess Mithian seems to be without a dance partner and I would like it if you wouldn't mind filling that empty gap."

Leon flushes, almost as red as Mithian. He stammers as he tries to formulate an answer.

Eventually he manages; "Of course." He turns to Mithian and offers his hand. "My lady, if you would do me the honour of this dance."

Mithian looks at Annis and Gwen, then back at Leon. "Certainly, Sir Leon." She places her hand in his and stands, allowing him to escort her to the dance floor.

"Matchmaking are we, my Queen?" Arthur asks and sees his arms empty.

"Maybe." she says evasively. "Where is Llacheu?"

"Merlin took him quickly as Eleanor is awake at the moment." Arthur stands from his chair and offers his hand to his wife. "That gives us enough time to have a dance." He nods towards the minstrels and they slowly stop playing their current tune and slowly fade into another. Gwen recognises it immediately.

"This is the song we danced to for the first time as husband and wife." Gwen says in shock.

Arthur nods. "Yes it is. Now my lady, may I have this dance."

"Definitely my lord."

Gwen stands and threads her fingers through Arthur's. He guides her towards the centre of the dance floor where people have made space for their King and Queen. Arthur's arms go round Gwen's waist and Gwen's go round Arthur's waist. They begin to slowly sway with Gwen's head on Arthur's shoulder.

Half way through the dance, Arthur begins to hum the tune as it is played. Gwen moves her head to look up at Arthur causing him to cease.

"What is it?" Arthur asks. "Is it my humming? I can stop."

"No, it isn't that." Gwen reassures to prevent Arthur babbling. "I just wanted to thank you for remembering this. It was one of many happy memories from our wedding day."

"I was worried you were about to say that you were glad I remembered." Arthur laughs and hold Gwen tighter.

"Oh, I am surprised." Gwen teases and winks at her husband. Arthur quickly leans down and kisses her. He knows not to go too far as they are surrounded by their subjects so when he withdraws, he places his forehead against Gwen's.

"I love you." Arthur mumbles.

"I love you too." Gwen whispers back.

And then Gwen yawns...

...rather loudly too.

"I think it is time to head up to our chambers now, don't you." Arthur says after chuckling a bit.

Gwen nods, momentarily dropping her head against Arthur's chest. "You should come back down though. Llacheu will sleep until morning and I will be the same. We will be fine and you should enjoy yourself. Even Annis is still here, that says something."

"Are you insinuating something there?" Arthur asks with a smile.

"No, as long as this conversation isn't mentioned to Annis, I shall live." Gwen jokes.

The song ends and Arthur guides Gwen off the dance floor and halting the minstrels. "The Queen will now depart for the evening along with the Prince who is already half way to our chambers. I shall be back down soon after seeing my son to sleep. Continue to enjoy yourselves." Arthur announces to the room and then begins to head up to their son after Gwen says her goodbyes to Annis and Mithian. She tries to say goodbye to Vivian but she was very busy laughing to one of Gwaine's she tries to say goodbye to Elena but she is engrossed in conversation with Percival.

'I think we may have flourishing relationships...'

...

"Mama!" Llacheu cries and Gwen rushes to take him in her arms. Llacheu burst into tears as soon as he saw his mother.

"Someone is very tired." Gwen coos rubbing her son's back as he clings to her. "Thank you Merlin, and you Lizzie."

"Well, since little miss was up we didn't see the harm in letting Llacheu to see her. Plus it is quieter up here and Llacheu will be able to sleep a bit better now." Lizzie says as she rocks Eleanor back to sleep. Merlin picks Llacheu's rabbit off the floor and hands it to Gwen who yawns through another thank you.

"You should go to sleep yourself Gwen." Lizzie comments.

"That is where I am headed now." Gwen admits and looks down at her sleepy son.

"Well, don't let us stop you." Merlin says. " I will make sure you are able to sleep in a bit Gwen. You deserve it after all this running around today."

"Thank you Merlin."

"What are friends for?" Merlin smiles at his friends.

"Indeed. Good night you two." Gwen says her final farewells then heads to her chambers.

...

"I love you, my beautiful boy. Happy Birthday." Gwen says as she lowers Llacheu into his bed and places his rabbit under his hand. Arthur covers his body and kisses his forehead.

"Sleep well, my boy." he whispers. When Arthur stands, he takes one look at Gwen then scoops her up in his arms.

"Arthur, you don't need to carry me." Gwen protests but drops her head to his shoulder anyway. Arthur chuckles and places her on the turned down bed. Gwen drops back after removing her boots as Arthur takes her nightgown. He carefully undresses his wife then covers her body with her nightgown.

"Thank you Arthur. I love you." Gwen mumbles as she snuggles down into the covers.

"I love you too." Arthur whispers back and kisses her forehead before returning to the festivities downstairs.

End note: Please review! I love to know what you think! :)
