Izuku: Author-kun, there's only 2-3 chapters left until the beginning of the final arc.

I know there is, and the final arc itself is 6-7 chapters long, not to mention the epilogue.

Izuku: So, do we start it?

*Pulls out red button* Yeah, I guess it's time.

Izuku: Sayonara writing studio, it's been good while it lasted.

Sachi: Wait, what happens when the button is pressed?

Robotic Voice: Building self-destructing in in T minus 10 chapters

Sachi: WHAT!?

It's been fun, we had a lot of good times.

Sachi: STOP THE TIMER, LET ME OUT OF THIS ROOM!

Izuku: Maybe we can take a look back throughout the next few chapters?

Sachi: HELP ME!

Sure, *Pulls out a photo album*, So, where do we start?

Two days after the attack on U.A, newscasters were swarming the front door as the students watched from the safety of their dorm. Some of them were real paranoid deep down, not knowing if U.A's funds would be cut this time around due to the sheer amount of failures that has been happening ever since Mightless went public. From heroes losing left and right, to the rising number of criminals, the everyday citizens seems to be splitting into two very different sides: Those who cling on to the heroes more tighter than ever, scared of the increasing number of criminals, blindly following them like they're their only light within the darkness and those who have completely lost hope in the reliability of heroes, and who have taken matters into their own hands.

In a way, this was one of Mightless's unspoken plans: to make the world fear each other, to skyrocket quirk related crimes in order to make people more and more scared of quirks, and then wipe out all quirks as we know it. Although, not many were sure if even he knew about this, and this was all just a huge coincidence.

The uncomfortable silence was suddenly broken, when someone knocked on the doors of class A's dorm. Opening the door, Mina and Mineta were met with a barrage of eggs and toilet paper rolls from a few general education students.

"Get out of our school you hacks!" Yelled one of them.

"Yeah! You frauds! No one wants you here!"

They couldn't blame them. Ever since Mightless was revealed to be a former student from their class, most of the Gen Ed students and Support department students, who had all the reasons in the world to hate them, resented them even more. Their once beautiful dorm was now cleaned on a daily basis because often times it would get egged by nearby students, mostly Monoma from class B.

Speaking of Class B, the ground below softened as the two students suddenly sunk in.

"Hey! what gives!?" Yelled one of the student.

"I believe that you two have something better to do than to pick on others." Said a familiar voice, "Now leave, or I won't be as polite next time."

"Tch! It's not like we're gonna be heroes anyway." They grunted, pulling themselves out of the quicksand-like asphalt, "Enjoy your hero careers, assholes."

It was Juzo, from class B, and from the looks of it, he was being followed by Kendo, Setsuna, Tetsu Tetsu and even Monoma.

"You guys? What are you doing here?" Asked Mineta, wiping off the egg white with a towel.

"We heard about your concert getting trashed, so we brought the perpetrator to justice, Monoma!" Kendo answered, as Tetsu Tetsu and Setsuna dragged what seemed to be a very beat up and bruised Monoma, who, despite his injuries, didn't seem to care.

"Hahahaha! I heard the entire stages support beam came crashing down! That's amazing! Oh, such management failure coming from class A!" Monoma laughed, before getting smacked in the back by Kendo.

"He was running late for the play, so we got suspicious. Turns out he copied Hagakure's quirk to become invisible, and took off a couple of screws in the backstage." Kendo replied, before turning to Monoma with an enraged face "Now apologize!"

"NEVER!"

"Guys, Guys, it's fine." Mina answered, "A villain broke in and sabotaged out show, so people put all of malfunction blames on him."

"Oh, so that's how that attack started..." Muttered Kendo.

"I heard Mightless was responsible for the attack." Tetsu Tetsu added, "Had to cancel the who play when it happened. That son of a bitch, when I get my hands on him, I'll make him pay for ruining my big moment on stage! We had such a cool plot twist planned and everything!"

Tetsu Tetsu's ranting was paused by a smack to the back of the head from Setsuna.

"Oh... Right..." The student finished, now realizing that he was bringing up a sensitive subject.

But it was too late, they can see that the two student's faces have taken an uncomfortable shift.

"We're... sorry about Izuku, we understand it must be hard to get over." Kendo apologized for Tetsu Tetsu's behavior.

"It's fine, we're doing our best to cope with it." Mineta stated, "Just don't bring it up near Todoroki, Bakugo, Uraraka, or Iida."

"They're still touchy about the subject?"

"You have no idea." Mineta said, inviting them inside, knowing it wouldn't be polite to leave them out, besides, they were both freezing in the early winter breeze.

Taking a seat in the common room, the Class B students have taken notice at how empty the place was.

"In case you were wondering, us two are the only ones here." Said Mineta.

"Where are the others?" Asked Juzo.

Mina let out a defeated sigh.

"We discovered during our fight with Midoriya that he can now summon Nomus through his blood." explained Mina.

"Nomus?"

"Artificial humans, monsters with multiple quirks. One is said to be strong enough to take 5 pro heroes head on. We were lucky and only had to deal with three, the rest kinda went off and attacked the rest of the festival." Mineta continued.

"Ever since that incident, rumors went around regarding Midoriya's new quirk. There is no documented quirk that can create life, so many different theories spread across the classroom, and the next thing you know, everyone was scribbling on their notes and mumbling like how Midoriya used to when he see anything of interest." Mina cut in.

"However, all of the theories pointed to the same conclusion: that Midoriya was not only slowly losing his heroic spirit, but also his humanity. They pleaded for Aizawa and any hero they can find to hurry up the search operation, that saving Midoriya was a top priority, but all they could do was give them reassuring phrases, hoping to calm them down."

"It will all be okay" they said, "We will save him." they said, but in the end, those were all just empty promises." Mina finished

"Now, they are all across town, gathering information, claiming to just be going out, but in reality breaking the law once more in hopes of finding Midoriya. Katsuki, Todoroki and Kirishima are all training their quirks to their utmost limits, while everyone else are doing... everything else." Mineta finished.

Class B listened carefully to their explanation, taken aback with how much pressure they were going through. All of a sudden, Tetsu Tetsu spoke up.

"What about you two? why aren't you out there?" Asked the steel boy.

"I was planning on checking the news, maybe track him down through the web. Mightless is a very big topic right now online, surely, someone must have seen them." said Mina.

Mineta however, didn't answer.

"How are you certain he was ever on your side anyway?" A snobby voice spoke up.

"Monoma!" Kendo yelled at him.

"Can it Kendo!" Monoma yelled back, before glaring at the two, "What if he was a villain from the beginning!? What if everything he did for you guys was all so that he could use you later on!?"

"Monoma, keep talking like that and you're getting knocked out!" Kendo warned, but it didn't stop him.

"No one can change their lifelong dream in a snap! You heard his story, we heard his story, everyone heard his story, it was broadcasted throughout Japan! He was bullied as a kid, was rejected by All Might, was saved by villains. No one would want to be a hero after this!" Monoma ranted, "You idiots from class A are wasting your time, trying to get back someone who was an enemy from the start!"

Kendo sent down a karate chop to Monoma's neck. But to her surprise, he withstood it. Not only that, but it felt like she punched steel. Just then, it was revealed that Monoma's neck was gray and shiny.

"You guys always hog all the attention for yourselves. But I never though you guys would be this dense." Monoma continued, "Unless you know this and are all just doing it for the attention, like you always do! Is that it!?"

Kendo let down another chop, this one shutting him up, but not enough to knock him out. However, the damage was done, and they noticed Mina on the verge of tears. Setsuna and Juzo tried to comfort her, but she brushed them aside.

"We knew." Mina said quietly, "We knew that he was never on our side."

Suddenly, she stood up, as stoic as ever.

"But deep down, we know he still has a soft spot for heroes. We know that he legitimately cares about us, because we'd be dead if he didn't!" Mina said with strength.

"How are you so certain!?" Monoma asked.

"Because he doesn't hate us! He hates Bakugo, but not us! He shared with us what he thinks a hero should be, and even shared some intimate moments with us! Deep down, even if he was acting, he is happy. I know he is because I can recognize it in his eyes!"

"But he called the league of villains his family."

"Villain are human too! Midoriya taught me that! You can like a villain, and still like a hero at the same time!" Mina exclaimed, "And, even if he doesn't realize it, deep down, he doesn't want to hurt anyone! He's just damaged, and he can only find relief in the suffering of others. I... I just wanted to change that."

Suddenly, she raised her fist up in the air, imitating All Might.

"Because a real hero must give a second chance to everyone!"

The Class B students were silenced by her dedication, which also silenced Monoma.

"Wow... I never thought you were this dedicated..." Setsuna uttered.

"It's nothing." said Mina, sitting back down.

"Then let us help too!" Tetsu Tetsu spoke up, "We are heroes in training too! together, we might be of great help!"

"R-really guys?" Asked Mina.

"Yeah! Sure! That's what heroes do, isn't it?" Asked Kendo.

"That's... that's great!" Mina said, "We'll need all the help can get!"

"Then let me contact the rest of class B!" said Kendo.

As Mina followed the rest of the class B students, Mineta got up, and walked the other way.

"Are you coming Mineta?" Asked Mina.

"Huh? Oh! Yeah... yeah... Be there in a sec!"Mineta replied.

However, as the dorm was deserted, he went to his room, and took out a piece of paper from his pocket. They were plane tickets, ones out of Japan, one for each of his family members, and one for him. He was planning to flee, but after witnessing the bravery of every other student, he clutched onto it, as tears poured down, leaving wet patches on the ticket.

"What am I doing?" He asked himself, collapsing as he covered his face, trying to block to tears.

Izuku walked across the halls of his father's worn down laboratory, with the accompaniment of Kurogiri, of course, as they checked on the tanks to see how the Nomus were doing. Ever since they broke into the lab, Izuku has been creating these artificial human non-stop through his blood and mixing them with his father's chemicals.

"Kuro, give me a status report." Ordered the villainous leader.

"94 White Nomus (Basic), 57 Black Nomus (regenerators), 31 Abnormals (5 quirks or more) and 11 Specialists (Somewhat of a mind)" Responded Kurogiri, "With about 60 more on the way. With 2-3 Nomus created every day, we should have 75 more joining the ranks in about a month." Responded Kurogiri.

"What about the High-End class?" Asked Izuku.

"We've made the first one out of your severed arm, which we recovered from the Culture festival." Explained Kurogiri, lighting up a room to show his leader the monstrosity that stood in the next room, separated by a five layer tempered one-way glass wall.

Izuku pressed his face against the glass, gazing at the magnificent beast that stood before him.

"Look at this beauty." He smiled, he the monster seemed to react.

"Careful, he may not hear us, but he knows we're here." Warned Kurogiri.

"It's fine, he's made with my parts. If he does notice me, he'll think of he as his dad." Izuku said.

"Speaking of which, I heard what happened during your battle with Gentle." said Kurogiri, "Did you seriously go after him?"

"I deduced that he wasn't much of a threat, and calmed down rather quickly." Izuku answered, "But I decided to play along to his game."

"What about Eri?! What if we gets hurt during your absence!?" Kurogiri asked like a concerned parent.

"Well she's fine! Isn't she?" Izuku replied with a hint of annoyance, "I swear, at this point, we're more a group of babysitters than villains."

Kurogiri went silent for a moment, then, he spoke with intensity.

"Izuku, what ARE you planning to do with Eri?" Asked the bartender.

"Pardon?" Izuku replied.

"Taking Eri was your original plan, I was the one who wanted to rescue her." Kurogiri continued, "So tell me, what would you have done with her had I not said that?"

Izuku sighed.

"I pictured Eri to look somewhat like you, because of that, harvesting her to finalize the Silent Plague would have been much less heart-wrenching, and the league wouldn't have cared as much." Izuku explained, "Of course, when I found out what she really was, and what she's been through, all of that's changed."

Kurogiri didn't seem pleased with the answer he was given, and his anger didn't stop growing.

"So now what? Is the Silent Plague plan still operational? ARE you gonna use Eri for it!?" Kurogiri aggressively asked.

Izuku also seemed to be losing his calm.

"I've been trying to find an alternative way to finalize the virus, while keeping it secret from both Eri and the league, you better be fucking grateful that I'm letting you in on this!" Izuku replied with equal animosity, "As nice as I am, my patience has it's limits, Kuro-san (He never addressed him in such manners), so how about you lower your fist and stop being so fucking paranoid!?"

With that, Kuro's fists loosened, as he took a deep breath, calming himself.

"Very well, I understand." He said calmly.

"Good, now warp me back, and in the meantime, finish mobilizing our troops, the big plan is only a few months away." Izuku ordered.

Before the portal opened however, Kurogiri gave him one last glare.

"Listen, I know that you are my Young Master, but remember one thing. If you lay a hand on Eri" Kuro said, as his eyes darkened, "Y̴͔̍ő̷͈ų̶͂'̶̥̔l̶̞̇l̸͎͝ ̸͇̓b̶̆͜e̷̛͓ ̷̹̉ď̷̦ë̸̻́a̴̘̾ḏ̴̓ ̴̮̉ẁ̴̖h̶̛͇e̸̮͆r̷̨͗ë̵͚́ ̵̟̑ỷ̷̨o̴̦̊ǘ̴̪ ̷͓̕s̷̮̓t̶̢̕ă̸̠n̵̥̑d̵̟͂!"

The sheer eeriness of his voice sent shivers down his spine, as he walked into the portal with his back wet with cold sweat, but he still managed to reply.

"Don't be ridiculous."

As he walked into the bar, he looked over at Eri, happily playing with Spinner and Toga. Not wanting to reveal himself, he stood silent, then looked down at his hand. He felt a twitch, an urge to kill, his vision was reddening, and his breathing was heavy. Clutching his head, he jammed his hand into a protruding nail, and killed the Nomu that came out to relieve his blood lust, generated by his Nomu instincts.

"Ridiculous..." He uttered to himself, his eyes flashing green once more as he hits himself over the head.

While everyone was out looking for clues, whether asking nearby locals about recent villain sightings to scouting alleyways that villains might potentially hide in, Todoroki was told that his father was hospitalized. Hearing this, the young teen ran to the hospital, ditching his training as he hurried to meet up with his father.

This was definitely something new for him, as he never felt bad for his father. But ever since Endeavor changed his ways, Todoroki couldn't help but feel sorry for him, for how devastated he must feel, now that he was no longer blinded by his inferiority complex.

Running up to the hospital stairs, he found his father, lying in bed, staring blankly at the ceiling. His eyes looked even deader than that of his mother's. According to the doctor, his physical wounds healed rather quickly, but mentally, his spirit was smashed. He was told that he would often not eat anything and was even seen crying when he saw how burnt his sausages were, claiming it was triggering traumatic flashbacks.

Hearing this intrigued the student, as he knew that as bad of a father as Endeavor was, he has never actually burned him. This must have something to do with his brothers, as he never sees or hears about them. Just then, he remembered about Toya, how he just mysteriously disappeared. His father always told him that he left to study abroad, but he always had a sneaking suspicion that he was hiding something, and he had to know what.

"Hi dad." said the student, walking into the room.

No response, as he predicted. Sitting next to him, he dropped off the fruit basket he brought with him.

"Sorry, I was a little late, traffic was a mess." He joked, something he himself wasn't sure he was capable off.

His father turned his head towards him slowly, looking at him briefly, then resumed his blank stare at the ceiling.

"Shoto... remember what I told you about your elder brother?" asked Enji, not even looking at him.

"Yes I do. You told me he went to study abroad. I tried contacting his number ever since I was admitted into U.A, but never got an answer." answered the teen.

His father turned away from him, similar to what a kid would do when too ashamed to admit his fault.

"There is a reason why none of your other brothers showed up, Shoto, and frankly, I don't know if I show be glad or torn that you were the only one that came." Said his father, "I'm sure that if they saw me like this, they would probably enjoy themselves, maybe give me a kick to the sides before going back out to celebrate the day where their abusive ass of a father finally got what he deserved."

"Don't say that!" Todoroki rebutted, "You took it upon yourself to repent for your past mistakes, that's what they would have wanted."

"What they want, Shoto, is my head mounted on their wall, preferably after having me crucified and drained of all of my blood." Endeavor replied, "I don't blame them either, they did nothing to deserve any of the suffering I put them through."

Todoroki went silent. His father never talks about his brothers, in fact, he always neglects them. So what did his father do to them if he doesn't even talk to them?

"What did you do?" Asked Todoroki nervously.

Silence.

"What did you do?" He asked again.

He can see tears running down his face.

"Tell me!"

"GET OUT OF HERE!" Endeavor snapped, as his face ignited in flames, before extinguishing as he buried his face in his hands, "Just get out..."

As Todoroki was about to leave, however, a third voice came from the entrance.

"Some dad you are." Said the voice, sarcastically, as the figure came into their field of sight.

"Natsuo?" Todoroki called out, "What are you doing here?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Asked his older brother, "I came to check of our father."

The older Todoroki then flashed a mean glare at his bed-ridden dad.

"And making sure he spilled the beans." He added, with anger.

"Natsuo, I... I'm sorry." Endeavor said in a monotone voice.

"Oh, sorry? now that's rich coming from you!" He yelled, slamming his fist against the wall, "Where was that "sorry" when you abused Shoto, attempting to mold him into a weapon? Where was the "sorry" when you hospitalized mother? Or how about when you dragged him out of the hospital two days before he had fully recovered!?" Natsuo yelled at him, increasingly upset, before stopping to catch his breath, coughing from the amount of yelling he was doing.

"Or how about then you got rid of To..."

"Stop!" the younger Todoroki yelled back at him, "I understand that you're upset. But if you constantly beat him down like this, he'll never be able to correct his mistakes!"

Natsuo looked down at his younger brother, before glaring back at his dad.

"If he was gonna correct his mistakes, maybe he would have told you what really happened to your brother." Natsuo sneered, before heading towards the exit.

"Wait!" Todoroki stopped him, "What do you mean? What happened to Toya?"

Natsuo glared back at him.

"Why don't you ask father? I'm sure he'll tell you how well things were going for him "abroad"!" Natsuo laughed sarcastically, before leaving the room.

As his older brother left, Shoto turned back to his father, who in turned looked down, the lifelessness in his eyes more apparent than ever.

"Will you tell me now?" Asked Shoto.

"Will you promise not to hate me?" Asked his father in return.

Shoto took one deep breath.

"I promise."

Meanwhile, Fuyumi, Shoto older sister, slapped Natsuo across the face in anger.

"How could you do something like that!?" Asked the Todoroki household's only daughter.

"That bastard got what he deserved!" Replied Natsuo, will angry at his dad.

"I sent you up there alone for a reason Natsuo! I wanted to show him that you were here on your own accord, and not because I forced you to!" Fuyumi yelled at him, "He would have never believed me otherwise. And THIS is how you treat him!?"

"I never said I was planning to visit him out of love." Natsuo rebutted.

Hearing this, Fuyumi let out a exasperating sigh.

"I better go then." She said, before him back, "And you stay in the lobby this time!"

However, on her way to her father's room, she bumped into Shoto, who looked as pissed as Natsuo.

"Shoto? What are you doing here?" asked Fuyumi.

"I was just leaving." Todoroki hissed back at her.

"I-Is everything alright?" Asked his older sister.

No answer, instead, he quietly walked towards the lobby, running once more into Natsuo.

"Told you so." Natsuo quietly said to him, "Now let's go."

Seeing him like this, concern drew on Fuyumi's face, as she ran to Enji's room. However, upon merely a glance of the state of the place, shock ran through her body as she dropped the bouquet of flowers she bought him. The room was completely upside down, broken glass littering the floor, mirrors broken and his father, looking as pathetic as Shoto once did, crouched up in the corner, his face in his knees, as the window next to him was in pieces, his fist bleeding with cuts. The cabinet next to his bed was flipped over and water from the flower vase formed a puddle, drenching the pillows that were scattered across the floor.

"Are they gone?" Asked a voice behind the opened door, it was the nurse.

"What happened?" Asked Fuyumi.

"They had a fight, a very brutal one at that." Replied the nurse, before fleeing in fear.

Looking at her father, Fuyumi felt a surge of guilt course through her body.

"You told him the truth, didn't you?" Asked Fuyumi.

"Please leave..." Endeavor weakly asked her, his voice, trembling as he breathed rapidly.

Seeing the state of the room, Fuyumi's housewife-like instincts took over as she started to clean up.

"It isn't your fault you know." Said Fuyumi, "Past deeds don't go unpunished. You did the right thing, albeit a bit late."

"What did you expect me to do?" Asked Endeavor, "As much as I try to correct my past mistakes, I only end up digging up more of the past sins I committed."

Hearing this, Fuyumi walked up to her father, placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Then I suggest you tackle them one at a time." Suggested the daughter, "And eventually, maybe they will accept your past mistakes and turn a blind eye to some of them."

"Do you really think I can accomplish such a task?" Asked Endeavor, "Trust me, it's as impossible as trying to surpass All Might."

"But you still tried." Fuyumi rebutted.

The hero couldn't reply to that logic.

"Come on pops, you are the new number one hero! Surely, such a task shouldn't be a problem, should it?" Asked Fuyumi, "The world is lacking a symbol of hope, and you are the only one who can fill that void."

As she said that, she threw the rest of the glass shards in the trash.

"As such a symbol, I think it was time you confronted your past, so that you can rid the chains that hold you back and become the new hero that this world needs." Said Fuyumi, "But I can only help you so much, the rest will be up to you."

The sister Todoroki eventually left the room, cleaning all of the mess that was made. Endeavor sat on the edge of his bed, thinking about the words his daughter told him.

"She's right." He said to himself, before looking out the window, "It was about time I dealt with my past sins."

"Mixture number 57: Failure!"

Another vial was thrown into the trash, Izuku tried desperately to create an alternative method to finalize the Silent Plague. But after over 50 tries, he started to lose hope. Day and night, working on different mixtures, asking himself how it was possible for his father to have created such a drug to begin with.

Then one day, as he was making his way to his lab, Eri ran up to him.

"Izuku? Are you leaving again?" Asked Eri, "When can we play again?"

Izuku looked down at her, before kneeling down to her level.

"I'm sorry Eri, but I have important work to do. If I don't finish this, I don't think can carry on my plans." Izuku apologized to Eri.

"What? But you've been studying so hard!" Eri said with concern, "Is there anything I can do to help you?"

Izuku hugged her gently, thinking about what she could do. His eye's drifted into the shadows of his hair.

"Maybe..."
