A/N: The picture I have in use is from dA by an artist lychi and the picture's name is just simply Zelda.
Also, I do NOT own the characters or places unless said otherwise. Nintendo has the rights. =P Honestly speaking, all I have is the idea for the story, few monsters, creatures and bit of changing the places. Oh, and couple of OCs here and there. ^^; I'm certain everyone can figure out which belongs to me and which doesn't. =)

Letters From Hyrule
Chapter 54: Good question
Dear Dark,
I am so sorry! I...I...I can't believe I sent something like that to you. *cries* I'm so sorry...please, forgive me...I don't expect you to...I'm so mean to you. Question. Do you ever want to know anything about us? I mean, we send you letter after letter, and you answer each one diligently, so...why don't you ask us questions?
-Dusk
Dark had written so many letters that he didn't remember what had caused this kind of reaction from the sender. He was worried to have given too harsh words or angry tone into his earlier reply. Yet, the given question was something that got him to frown and think about it quite a much.
The letter had come just yesterday but Dark hadn't had the time to check it at then. During the night he hadn't been able to sleep so he eventually got up moved to the closest windowsill to read a book. Few hours later he had carefully and as quietly as possible opened the letter. When Link woke up several hours later, he showed the letter to the Hero.
The golden haired warrior gave him the words the dark Hylian had already come up with. To first apologize for whatever the reason he's got the sender sad. After that he had just shrugged and given bit of a sorrowful smile. "Truth is, I never really know what to ask from the senders." Link told with a apologetic smile.
Dark sighed heavily. The Hero's words hadn't helped him at all. Then again, Link had been bit in a hurry since he was going to have a long day. And as nearly always, the dark Hylian pretty much had nothing to do for the whole day. He could've gone for same as always which meant for reading, drawing, carving, walking around the Market and answering the letters. Of course, not everything was for one day but those were usually his ideas and for once he wished for something else.
There weren't any of monsters he could've gone to fight against. And he didn't want to show off how strong he was with magic and in fighting so practice, alone in a room as well as against the guards and Knights, was off the ideas. Eventually he sighed heavily and went to pick the letter as well what he needed to reply to it and went to sit down by the table.
Dear Dusk
I never meant to hurt you. I hope you can forgive me if my letter's tone was harsh or even angry. I assume you took me off guard with your earlier inquiry but that is no reason to have been hurtful. I still wish to stay in contact with you if you still wish to hear of me after this.
As for your current inquiry... Well, it certainly is unique one and unfortunately I don't really have an answer. I have asked from the senders a countering one but I assume you aren't really meaning those. In fact, I guess my lack of inquiries to the letter's sender is because I'd rather talk to person face to face. On this way I know better who I'm dealing with and how things are going. Through letters the one receiving and sending could be anyone.
Do not get me wrong, I enjoy of every letter I gain and I really like to answer into them. I try my best to give the reply the sender is wishing to gain but depending on the letter and the questions, I might not have much to tell. For example, if it's about Hyrule's defenses or my opinion on something that could be used against me, I try to give more a roundabout answer than straight one. It is not to lie but only to defend what I hold dear.
Answering into the letters was my ghost writer's idea. She put it down as learning to know my readers. I admit that freaked me out but it also intrigued me which is why I accepted. Unfortunately, I roped others into it too like Link and Zelda. Nonetheless, I truly enjoy of gaining and answering the letters.
With all that said, I admit that I bit fear to ask questions from the senders. I don't want to scare anyone away from writing a letter to me or others. Sometimes I even get the feeling the sender just wishes to gain swift and short answer while others want to hear more than just gain an answer to what's being asked. This is why it's hard to try and strike up a conversation through a letter.
Anyways, I would really want to know more about the senders and, well, since you put the inquiry up... Um... Would you like to tell me something about yourself? Or if that's too personal then, um... What's the weather like? *facepalms* Sorry. That's prolly the most asked question. ^^; So, um... If you wish, you can tell me anything you think worthwhile to be told and which won't go too personal or what you wish not to tell out.
*sigh* Yeah, you can see just there how bad I am when trying to ask from others a question or few. I'm better off when I can counter the inquiry. Anyways, I hope with bit more confidence, I just might start to ask questions from the senders. Still, I wish to stay in touch with you even if I fail to ask something.
I hope you don't mind long letters. ^^; I tend to start rant as can be seen. Sorry about that. I wish to gain a reply from you soon.
With best regards
Dark
The dark Hylian sighed and shook his head. He bit felt like just doing the letter again and cut it short but he didn't know how to do that without sounding harsh or blunt. So, he simply read it through in hopes of spotting mistakes but soon enough he already put the letter into the envelopes and shut them.
After having taken the letter off to sending, Dark returned back into the room, flopped down to the bed and picked a book. He was bored and without better doing. Usually he would've gone for drawing but he knew he would fully lose himself into it and eventually Link would walk in on him and that would be the end of that drawing. The ruby eyed male still had bit of hard time picking back up what he hadn't been able to finish from first go.
It was late in the evening when the Hero finally returned to the room. He was tired and tad grumpy but he tried to stay calm enough as he noticed Dark watching him and waiting to be noticed. "Hey..." Link started with a weary smile. "How's your day been?" He inquired while sitting down to the bed.
Dark shrugged and put the book off. "Bored out of my mind." He replied and bit sighed heavily. "Eventually answered to a letter and been reading a book after that." The dark Hylian explained and glanced at the said book. "But considering my boredom, I don't think I've actually concentrated into what I've been reading." He half whispered while giving slightly sorrowful look.
Link stretched before yawning. "Well, that's much better than my day. The whole freaking time from just sunrise until now I've been in a damn meeting." He grumbled and flopped down to his back. "I could just fall asleep right here, right now." The Hero continued while crossing his arms over his chest and staring at the ceiling.
"What stops you from doing that?" Dark inquired with a raised eyebrow. Link sighed heavily and shrugged. The dark Hylian crawled across the bed and dropped himself to the floor. Link bit raised his head to get a better check of his brother's doing before bit yelping as the ruby eyed one took the Hero's shoes off. "Helps a lot if you don't have your shoes on." Dark explained while taking the other one off too and getting back to the bed after that. "Just curl up and sleep. I'll just wash up and come to bed after that." He told and got back up to head into the bathroom.
Link smiled a bit and took a better position on his side of the bed. He swiftly took the belts off as well as the tunic and chainmail. After that he pulled the day cover over him and closed his eyes. By the time Dark came back, the Hero was fast asleep and having a small smile on his face.

A/N: Letters From Hyrule will once again be once a week updated, hopefully. So, if you wish to send a letter to the duo or any of the other characters of Hyrule, you're free to do so. Here's few guidelines for doing a letter:
- Before sending what You've written, please, read it through. Just in case if there's some words missing.
- Dots. I would SERIOUSLY appreciate it if You could actually put a dot after a sentence. Helps TREMENDOUSLY to read it. It's okay if You're not using capitalized letters at the start of a sentence and within names but I would pretty much RECOMMEND the dots into the end of the sentence.
- Paragraphs. Whenever You change the topic in Your letter press that button called Enter. Again, it helps to read the letter and find a way to reply to it.
- NO harmful things. I will NOT accept letters that are having mean and cruel words NOR harmful presents... Though, there IS an exception. I WILL send such thigngs into Evil Realm. At first I had thought to deny it from there too but then I came up with that one story with the send magic bomb and, well, yeah... But such things will NOT be send to Dark, Link, Zelda or others who are NOT thorough bad guys. Thank You for Your understanding.
All of these little things also helps YOU to give a better picture of You to the character You send the letter.
As a totally different thing, I'm trying to get 100 uploads done during this year (2017). Some will be here and some will be at DeviantArt. The list of these 100 stories and the links to them will be at DeviantArt so check that one out. Current counting is 80 uploads left. Oh, and by upload I mean for poems, one shots and chaptered stories where each chapter is counted as one of the uploads. I hope I will get this done.
