I'm still alive.
I am so sorry it has taken me so long to post a new chapter. It took longer than I thought to get my internet back. Then the Holidays hit, and I barely had time to breath. But the dust is finally calming and I should be able to post at least once a week again (twice if I really get to writing).
So the Winchester girls can hold their own pretty well. But are the boys going to let it go?
Hannah walked out of the kitchen carrying two bottles. "Alright my little ones whose first?"
"Mommy they can't talk yet." Ethan giggled. He was sitting on the floor with his siblings. "But it's Noah's turn to go first."
"You are very right my wonderful big helper." Hannah said sitting down next to him. She handed Ethan the bottle while she picked Noah up. Ethan handed her the bottle and watched as she started to feed his brother. "So how were things last night?"
"Daddy put pink on both babies." Ethan answered. "Uncle burnt diner, but I didn't say anything. The part that wasn't burnt wasn't bad. Papa refused to fold and put away you're and Aunties clothes. But don't worry after dinner Logan, Kaden and I took care of it."
"I am so proud of the three of you."
"Mommy can I ask a question?"
"Always."
Ethan touched her wrist. "Did you get hurt?"
"Just a little." Hannah said. "But it doesn't hurt anymore."
"Daddy took care of it?"
"Daddy want's to but Mommy said no." Sam said coming in from outside. "Now if you don't need your helper he has training to do."
"But Daddy…"
"Go on baby you don't want to miss your training." Hannah said nudging Ethan. Ethan nodded jumping up and running outside. Sam turned to leave when Hannah said. "I'm really okay you know?" Sam stopped but didn't say anything. "I was trained by the best."
"I better go help Dean." Sam said walking back outside.
"Is stretch still moping too?" Kathy said coming into the living room.
"Big time." Hannah laid Noah back down, picking up Emma. "I thought it was all settled last night."
"But this morning he started all over again." Kathy finished sitting across from Hannah. "Yeah Dean did the same thing this morning." Kathy looked around the quiet living room. "Where are the other Minis?"
"Training."
"And Dad?"
"Shopping."
"Wow we almost sound like a normal family."
Hannah laughed. "Sure, because every father is in their backyard teaching their young sons to throw rather large knives."
"Daisy called this morning. She thinks there's a hunt not far from here."
"You know your boys are going to want to go with again."
"Yep I already packed all three of my boy's bags." Kathy said smiling. "And mine. Dean wants to do a 'family' hunt and I miss Daisy."
"Sound's fine to me. I just hope Sam doesn't sulk the whole time."
"Same here."
The door opened and the three boys came in. Logan collapsed into Kathy's lap while Kaden draped himself over her back. Ethan walked over and sat down next to Hannah a big smile on his face.
"So my two boys are close to death, and yours is smiling like he did it." Kathy laughed.
"Dad and Uncle are trying to kill us." Logan stated.
"I got eyebull." Ethan said proudly.
"Bull's-eye." Kaden corrected.
"Oh, bull's-eye." Ethan's smile didn't falter. "Uncle said it took Daddy ten throws before he got that."
Hannah hugged her son. "Then I guess you'll be teaching the twins." Ethan's face brightened even more.
"What about you two?" Kathy asked
"We hit the target." The two boys said together.
"Well that's a start. Now if you two are up to it we have a hunt." Kathy was almost knocked over by how quickly her son's jumped up. "I take it you're up to it. Go get your father, we'll have lunch on the way." The boys ran back out of the house. Kathy looked at Hannah. "I better go grab my things."
Kathy stood and headed up the stairs. The door slammed open again, and the two boys ran passed and up the stairs. Dean came in nodded at Hannah and followed his sons.
"Ethan honey can you watch the twins for a few minutes. Mommy needs to talk to Daddy."
"Sure Mommy. Can we watch a movie?"
Hannah stood. "As long as it's not too scary." Hannah walked to the still open back door. Sam stood facing the large haystack. A fresh bull's-eye had been put on it. Sam picked up a knife turned his back to the haystack his eyes closed, and tossed. Hannah wasn't surprised when the knife hit directly in the center. She left the door open so she could hear Ethan if he called, and walked over to Sam. He didn't open his eyes as he reached behind him picked up another knife and threw it. This one embedded to the right of the first. Hannah still said nothing as Sam picked up another knife.
"You want to give it a go?" Sam didn't open his eyes as he turned slightly and tossed the knife. This one landed to the left of the first.
"I think I should leave knife throwing to my husband and son." Hannah said.
Sam shook his head. "But you never know when you might need to toss a blade." He picked up one of the smaller knives and held it out to Hannah. She took it from him, holding it loosely. "First thing how to hold it." Sam walked behind her and reached his hand around engulf hers and the knife handle. "Always hold it tight so it's less likely that you will drop it. Second feel the weight of the knife, the shape of it. Close your eyes."
Hannah closed her eyes, she could not only feel the weight of the knife, but Sam's hand as well. She opened her eyes and looked up at him. "I thought when you throw a blade you should do it while holding the blade."
Sam smiled. "Only if you want to do it the hard way." Sam walked her over to stand in front of the target. "Now the most important thing is to not focus on the target. If you're going to need to throw a knife the target will probably be moving."
"So what do I focus on?"
"The knife, your hand, your breathing." Sam said bringing her hand up. "Just before you let go you focus on the target." He let go of her hand and Hannah tossed the knife.
"Well at least it hit the target." Hannah said remembering what Logan and Kaden had said.
"Not bad for your first toss." Sam said.
Hannah turned and looked up at him. "As always I had a wonderful teacher."
Sam looked up at the cloudy sky. "We better get the knives in before it rains. Besides I promised Ethan I'd show him how to sharpen them tonight. I heard Dean and his are going on a hunt. Dad headed out this morning, he said he might be home by night fall but I doubt it."
Hannah turned Sam around reached up pulled him down and kissed him. "I'm not the only one in this family that babbles." Sam opened his mouth but Hannah covered it with her hand. "I understand that you are upset. And every little Winchester fiber wants to hunt him down and stab him in the hand."
Sam pulled her hand down. "Or something else."
Hannah smiled. "I'm fine. In fact I'm better than fine. I went out and was able to protect myself. Somehow Kathy knew I needed that, and I did. Now we can put it in the past and get back to you protecting me. Okay?"
Sam smiled. "Okay"
"Now that, that is taken care of. I better get back in and relieve my little sitter. It sounds like he has work to do tonight." Hannah turned and headed back toward the house. She passed by Dean as he was coming out. Sam went back to pulling the knives out of the haystack.
"We'll be going to Daisy's first then on to the hunt." Dean said coming up behind Sam. "You missed one."
"Hannah" Was all Sam said.
Dean nodded. "Not bad." Dean glanced back at the house. "The bar was called Tips, it's not far from the house. But that's all Kathy would tell me."
"Hannah wouldn't even tell me that much." Sam started flipping a knife in his hand. "Hannah really wants me to drop it."
"So does Kathy." Dean said catching the knife before Sam could. "I can't how about you?" Sam slowly shook his head. "Good then while I'm gone you do what you do best. And no matter what you wait until I get home."
Sam nodded. "Then you better get home quickly."
