Chapter Fifty:
Anon Review corner:
Kale: I couldn't help but notice that you use the word 'slightly' a lot in this chapter. You should try to use different words to describe the subtlety of the actions.
Other than that I'm enjoying your story so far. It's pretty refreshing seeing stories where Madara is influenced by kids, as well as showing that he's got a soft side. Fluff stuff x Madara sign me up!
Answer: Ciao, Kale! Yeah I do tend to use 'slightly' quiet a bit, mostly coz it's the first filler word I can think of when I'm writing(I tend to write pretty fast, so I don't really go over and check the words like I used to do), but I am working on it! ^^(I do realize this is for an early chappie) and most of the early ones weren't really well checked. Anyways... I'm glad you're enjoying so far! I hope you continue to like it! But yeah, it's hard finding stories with Madara showing a softer side, and I do like writing parent fics, and Madara was an entertaining one to think about(seriously, you all have no idea how close this came to being a sasuke is a parent story until chappie 700 came out and then gaiden...) Anyways! I hope you continue to enjoy the story! And I hope to see you again! Happy readings!
Guest : Thank you for the update. I was dying to know what happens
Tobirama in trouble, i just hate and love him at the same time. And Hashirama's brotherly side is soooo Cute.
I think i know what is happening, but i won't spoil it to the others . Thanks again for the chappie
Answer: Ciao Guest~! Thanks for the lovely review~! Anyways, that's kinda like me. I love and hate Tobirama at the same time. It's complicated. Anyways, writing Hashirama's brotherly side was a bit enjoyable.(yes i do miss writing him) anyways, I'm curious as to what you thought what was going on, but everyone seems to have the same idea, but thanks for the discretion either way :) Anyways~! Thanks for taking the time out of your day to review, and I hope to see you again! Happy readings!
Kiayo was in a bunker hiding with other children of the village while the other shinobi were fighting against whoever was attacking the village. She could feel the shakes of the ground above, even some rubble falling into the bunker she was in. It frustrated her that she wasn't allowed to do anything.
Most of the children kept themselves preoccupied by talking among one another, playing a game or two, or doing anything else so that the yelling, and shaking that was coming from above wasn't as noticeable. Those who remained silent, like Kiayo, were worried. Worried about their family that were up there fighting. Worried for everyone that they knew, who were fighting above. For Kiayo, she was worried because she hadn't seen neither Akari nor Riukto.
A shinobi never leaves their comrades hanging. People who do, are lower than trash.
She thought to herself, sighing as she looked around the place. It was sealed, if only to keep the children from trying to break out. The mothers, since women were forbidden from going out on missions until their children became Genin themselves, were in separate rooms with the elderly.
Outside of the room were two shinobi that guarded the doors in case someone tried to break in, and if that failed, there were two seals inside the place to further protect the children from harm. Kiayo pursed her lips, looking away with a scowl.
Forget about trying to escape. I don't know how to undo seals. On top of that, I don't think I would be able to make it past those guards. Dammit! This is so frustrating!
Kiayo growled, hitting her head against the stone wall as she flung her head back in frustration. She didn't even bother to rub her head like she normally would, and instead looked sullen at ceiling.
"Kiayo?"
Kiayo looked down and over to her left at Taro, who was holding his youngest sister, Rini, in his arms while Tsuyoshi and Moriko were on either side of him. Kiayo pursed her lips, and looked back at the ceiling. The ground once again shook, and she moved slightly to avoid rubble hitting her face.
"Are you alright?" Moriko asked, walking over, and kneeling in front of her. Kiayo looked at her, nodding slightly. The young girl had just entered the academy. Moriko was also perceptive, which annoyed Kiayo. Were all Senju like that?
"I'm just tired." She said simply, looking back at the ceiling.
"Are you sure?" Taro asked, sitting next to her. He touched her hand. Kiayo looked at him hand, and then at him. She shrugged slightly.
"Aren't you worried?" She questioned, her voice sounding just slightly angered as she furrowed her eyebrows."Our families are up there fighting to protect this village. They're out there trying to protect us! And we're stuck here! Because we're children! We're shinobi too! I'm a Chunin! I've been on dangerous missions before! They're treating me as if I'm some experienced child!"Kiayo sighed, balling up her fists. Tsuyoshi and Moriko looked at each other, and then up at their big brother.
"Big Brother?" Moriko questioned softly. He looked at them smiling, and then handing them Rini.
"Why don't you take Little Sister, and go play with the younger children?" He questioned, making sure Moriko had Rini securely in her arms. Moriko nodded, and then took her younger brother's hand, and lead them away quickly. Taro sighed, sitting next to Kiayo, who was scowling up at the ceiling." You're angry because they're treating us like kids?" He questioned. Kiayo scowled, looking at him.
"Yes! And you should be too! I'm old enough to protect a damn damiyo! I'm old enough to put my life on the line for the sake of the village! But now that some stupid bandits attacks the village, I'm suddenly too young to fight it alone?! What about you! Aren't you upset about it too?! What about the mission that left you in the hospital for two weeks! And you were fighting some stupid bandit that was no real threat! That was ok to send you on, but this isn't?!" She shouted, eyebrows drawing together. She didn't even care if some of the kids turned to look at her. Kiayo's anger and frustration was much greater.
"It's obviously people with great power. Father is only trying to protect the future of this village. That means us, the children."
"You're only defending their decision because it's your dad who decided to put children and civilians here. Of course you would defend him." Kiayo spoke out of frustration, but what she said really jabbed at Taro.
He had often over heard his father argue with Madara countless times over the course of the village. Of the treatment towards the Uchiha. He knew of the dissatisfaction, but chose to keep silent about it. Until that one comment, spoken out of frustration by Kiayo. He scowled, standing up.
"I'm not gonna sit here silently and let you bad mouth my father. Look, he's doing what he can to protect this village. To protect us. You would think you'd be grateful, but you're not. You're like Madara. You're just never satisfied, are you?!" He shouted, but kept his voice low enough to where it wouldn't bring attention to them. Kiayo scowled, looking straight at Taro.
"You bastard! You don't know what you're talking about!"
"No! You don't! My dad tries to make his best judgements, and Madara's never satisfied!"
"Your dad has a twisted view on how things work!"
"No! Your dad does!" The two stared at each other, scowling at one another, before Taro scoffed, and turned on his heels, walking away. Kiayo scoffed, shaking her head.
"Fine! Walk away! I don't care!" Kiayo called out, not caring how loud her voice got. She then laid her head against the ceiling, allowing the tears to form, and fall down her face. She really did hate this.

"Damn! There's two of them!" One shinobi shouted, holding onto his head as it bled. He had just been knocked into a building. It wasn't enough to kill him, but it was certainly enough to cause harm.
"Did you see where they went?!" The shinobi next to him yelled out, coughing up some blood. The other shinobi looked at his comrade, and then shook his head, looking around with a scowl.
"Dammit!" He shouted, balling up his fists.
Madara had run into them around this time. The three shinobi locked eyes. The two other shinobi looked at the Uchiha in an almost accusing away. Madara scowled, and then continued running.
He was going to find the two shinobi that had infiltrated the village. He was going to find the two bandits that infiltrated this village, and caused this much harm to this village. Then, he was going to kill them. It seemed like such a simple plan...
So then why is it so damn hard to execute?!
He pondered to himself, scowling as he sped up.
On top of that, I have yet to find Akari.
Madara once again thought to himself as he activated his Sharingan. He looked around, trying to see if he could see anything out of the ordinary. Anything familiar. It was at that moment that Madara skidded to a stop, looking up at two unfamiliar shinobi, who were leaning against each other with smirks on their faces as they looked at Madara.
"Ginkaku, looks like we've run into the infamous Madara Uchiha himself." The taller, more muscular of the two with blonde hair that had dark colored tips spoke in a deep, gruff voice, his weirdly colored eyes glancing at his companion.
"Suppose he will give us a good fight then, Kinkaku?" The companion, Ginkaku, looked very much like his companion, Kinkaku, except a bit shorter with sliver hair that had dark tips. Madara scowled, balling up his fists.
"Let's find out." Kinkaku said.
With that said, both moved away from each other, drawing weapons of their own. Madara, balling up his fists as he prepared himself for a fight.

Kiayo was getting antsy. She wasn't some little kid anymore who needed protecting. No. She was a proud shinobi of the village of Kohona. SHe was a proud kuniochi of the Uchiha clan. Kiayo should have been fighting. She should have been putting her life on the line same as any other adult shinobi that was currently fighting. Who cares if she was under sixteen? If she was old enough to protect a damiyo, which was much more dangerous than anything going on up there, then she was old enough to fight two stupid bandits who were attacking the village. That is what she thought. Until she began listening to the chatter of some of the kids around her age were saying.
"All I'm saying is that if Lord Tobirama fears whoever is attacking the village, they must be something, right?"
"Shh. Be quiet, Aoki! Lord Tobirama will be just fine."
"Can you hear the fighting up there, Shinta? They must be something-"
"I'm telling you to shut up. Lord Tobirama will be ok. Him and Lord Hokage will fix everything. Then we'll be safe, and can go home."
Kiayo sighed heavily, looking away. Still, she couldn't escape the chatter around her.
"I hope Mother and Father will be ok."
"Gee, must be something to keep us down here this long."
"Big Brother, I'm scared."
"It's ok. Mother and Father are gonna get us soon. Just go to sleep, ok?"
"This sucks! We're shinobi, can't we fight too?"
"Lord Hokage will take care of this soon. I mean, nobody is more powerful than Lord Hokage! That's why he's Hokage and not some other lame shinobi."
"Ugh. My legs hurt from just sitting here."
"Let's play a game! Like... Umm... I know, let's throw these pebbles! Which ever pebble gets the furthest wins!"
"Ok!"
Kiayo sighed, resisting the urge to slap a child as a small pebble hit her forehead.
"Sorry, Miss!" The child called out. Kiayo was gonna yell at them to be more careful, until she saw the worried expression in their eyes.
They're just trying to distract themselves. No big deal.
Kiayo thought, sighing as she laid her head against the stone wall behind her.
This sucks. I want to fight, but I can't fight. I want to distract myself, but I can't do that either. I'm too worried.
Kiayo turned her head to the left, sighing heavily. She then widened her eyes, yelling slightly as she fell back on her hands.
"Hotaku, why are you here?" She questioned sullen, looking away. Hotaku looked at her for a moment longer, and then sat beside her.
"You looked like you could use some company." He said. He then glanced at her." You're not the only one with loved ones out there, ya know. My family is also fighting. All we can do is sit here, and wait for them to come to us." Hotaku was trying to be comforting, but his words just struck a cord in Kiayo's heart. She sighed, pulling her knees up to her chest.
"I will come back for you."
Madara's last words rung in Kiayo's ears, almost making her stay, but then another loud booming sound was heard from above, sending more rubble into the bunker. Kiayo frowned, taking Hotaku's hand, who then clasped his own hand around her wrist.
"I know." She said softly, frowning further.
I do not want Papa Madara's last words to me be his very last. I hope he will be alright.
Kiayo thought with a frown.
