Chapter 54

We walk down the street silently holding hands for a few minutes both of us trying to sort our thoughts. He looks lost and unsure where he wants to start so I decide to break the silence.

"Warren before you start spouting anything about how your sorry and all that I should tell you something." I said turning my head to meet his questioning eyes.

"I still feel I should go to Olympus. I know now how you feel about that place and I understand more than you know. So once you point me in the right direction I'll cast you a portal and you can come straight back, but I need to go there." I said and I see that same fire in his eye's from earlier.

"Why? What could they possibly know about us that I don't?" He asks through clenched teeth which tells me he is fighting to keep his temper in check.

"Oh I don't know maybe they have found some other weakness, or maybe they will know how to sever the connection between the dagger and the man. If not that then maybe I can convince them to allow the others to go home once Zeus is dealt with. They expected you all to be without power forever when they sent you here, and I doubt they would have condemned this world to their problems if they had known you'd regain them." I said and after my last statement Warren laughs and cuts in.

"Well your wrong about that one. All our parent's cared about when they banished us, was ensuring their power base. The only reason they really sent us here to this land without magic was to make sure we never found our way back. And if you hadn't noticed it worked pretty well for them as it's several thousand years later and we're still here." He said sarcasm evident in his every word and gesture.

"Well then my question to you would be why don't you want fight back Warren?" I asked wiping his smug look off his face.

"If I were you I'd be chomping at the bit for a chance to go back there. To take back the dagger that is mine just as much as it is my father's." I asked and he backs away a step frightened slightly by what I was suggesting.

"That's easy for you to say you have your dagger but the minute I step into that world I run the risk of being controlled again or worse." He answers glaring slightly but I refuse to back down now.

"Warren you've learned how to hide yourself from me when I'm actively trying to sense for you...From me Warren... How could they possibly know you are one of the people they banished if you mask your power?" I ask and I think I'm starting to get through to him ever so slightly, but he still looks unwilling to help.

"What about you Nori? I told you they will most likely think you a worse abomination than they do me. May I remind you that in that land yours is not the only weapon that can kill you. There will be three hundred and sixty-nine other weapons in the hands of highly skilled and dangerous people. Not to mention that by now they may have made more. If they find us out..." He said and I see very real fear for me in his eye's.

"I don't plan on letting on that I'm anything more than a portal jumper. But even if they do figure it out all I have to do is cut loose. Then I can teleport instantly to whatever realm I choose as easily as I do across town. I know my life will be at more risk than it is here but I can't let that cloud my judgment. Something I have learned from my father is the power of information. I may technically have more power than my father in my time, but he is still considered to be the most powerful practitioner of magic. Because as powerful as I am I don't think I'll ever know all the thing's he does. He is still the one everyone runs to first with their big problems. They run to me when they need the proverbial door kicked in, or they know that Dad has already taught me to do what they need. I have learned many combat magics he hasn't, but when it comes to figuring out something new...Nine times out of ten it will be him who figures out how to do it not me, and that's because of just how much he knows. He may tell others that magic is power, but his real power...The thing that really makes him the most powerful is knowing more than you do." I explained and he finally sighs and nods still frowning.

"Alright I'll help you get there...But don't expect me to be happy about it!" He said pointing his finger at me as I close the distance between us and hug his tense form.

"You know it's never surprised me how quick-tempered you can be, but I must say your quickness to forgive sometimes certainly does." He said quietly next to my ear and I laugh as we start walking again in the direction of my place.

"Ya the temper was inherited from Dad, but I also got my mothers ability to forgive those who deserve it. I wish I had gotten her ability to see into other people's heart's and souls like she does. She can see through the lies people shroud themselves in to what truly lies beneath like no one else can. Which is how she came to know and eventually love my Dad. But I didn't get that from her which is why I had such a hard time learning to trust you." I said smiling as he takes my hand and we continue walking silently down the block. I see light on the road next to me as Emma's yellow bug pulls up alongside us and Bae jumps out. He runs around the back side of the car and over to us as we stop to face him.

"Nice to see you two have made up!" He starts with a grin and I roll my eyes as I shake my head.

"Sorry couldn't help myself. But hey just so you both know there is a meeting tomorrow and Snow and Charming wish you both to attend." He states and we both look at each other and then back to him with the same question in our eye's.

"What about?" Warren asks and Bae sighs as he looks straight at me.

"Please don't kill the messenger." He said which reminds me of his earlier ploy to get me to the party.

"What is the meeting about." I ask flatly my annoyance starting show on my face.

"Pan." He answers and I grip Warrens hand tighter and just start to walk away without a word.

"Nori!... Come on be reasonable about this! You can't say you didn't see this coming Nori. When you're the one who acted as judge, jury, and jailor." He tried to reason with me and I stop dropping Warrens hand to face my brother.

"Yes I did! Because as I told you before it was the best solution and I'm the only one who is able to enact it Bae. You all feel I've cheated you out of being a part of the decision but I say tough luck deal with it, because I'm the one who has live with enacting said decision." I shout at him and Emma puts the car in park and get's out to join us telling Henry to stay in the car.

"We only want to discuss the plausibility of putting him up on trial, and making him answer for all he's done. Because you aren't the only person with claims against him, and some feel his current imprisonment doesn't fit his crimes. Many are even calling for his execution." Emma stated putting her official Sheriff of Storybrooke face on.

"Oh you can all discuss it until your blue in the face if you'd like but it will change nothing. I recognize that I'm not the only one with claims against him, but I also know that those claims do not weigh more than mine. Nor do they justify placing us all in danger by bringing him here for a...a...A show trial!" I state rather coldly before starting to walk away once more.

"How can our claim not weigh more than yours Nori?" Bae calls after me and I stop dead again. Tensing up for a moment and counting to ten to keep from saying something I shouldn't.

"He nearly killed our father yes...BUT HE TOOK MY SON! He kidnapped my with the intent to rip out his heart and become all powerful!" Bae shouts at me and I whip around and walk back to get right in his face.

"Because you don't know who he really is." I seethed through clenched teeth shaking slightly in anger as I push him back away from me a step or two. Bae's eyes go from burning to confused almost instantly. I turn and pace away and then back to him thinking a moment.

"Fine!...You want me at that meeting I'll be there, but don't expect it to change anything." I said and my brother groans in annoyance with me.

"Ya know I had forgotten how impossible you are to talk to sometimes. Your worse than Papa sometimes I swear" He said eye's burning again and Emma looks just as exasperated with me. I sigh shaking my head as I pinch the bridge of my nose and close my eye's trying to keep my head.

"Henry, Mary Margret, and David have told me about that place Nori and even after all he's done we still think it's too cruel a fate." Emma said more calmly than I would have expected given the situation and I can't help the laugh that escapes me.

"And if you all knew what I know...If you knew just how evil he really is you would say I was being too lenient. Oh and before you ask no I can't tell you as I was sworn to secrecy on the subject." I said and they both look surprised, angrily surprised yes, but surprised none the less. Bae opens his mouth to speak but I hold up my hand to stop him.

"No I've already said more than I should have tonight Bae. I will see you both at the meeting but if you wish anything on the subject to change...Then you need to have someone there that I'm sure hasn't been invited." I said and they all look interested in what I'm now saying.

"And who's that?" Emma asks but I think she has guessed what the answer is. I just look at my brother and raise my eyebrows because I know he has guessed.

"Papa." Bae states and without another word he heads back to the car Emma hot on his heels. They get in and the bug speeds off in the direction of my parents house. I look to Warren an apology in my eye's and on my face. He simply nods and gestures for me to go as well. I sigh and then poof to stand on my parents porch just as they are getting out of the black Cadillac.

"Well isn't this a pleasant surprise." My mother says as Dad works on getting the car seat out of the back seat. I walk past her and straight to my father. Waving my hand I free the seat and I'm now close enough for him to see something's up.

"Something wrong?" He asks concerned.

"Bae's on his way over and he is going to want to talk about a touchy subject with you. I felt I should warn you as it's my fault." I said as he pulls little sleeping me from the car. Mom comes and takes the car seat seeing that I need to talk with him about something urgent.

"What subject?" He asks when the front door closes behind Mom.

"One that you will one day swear me to secrecy about. Which is why He is coming to you for answers." I state sounding slightly tired of this whole thing. Head lights round the corner and I hear the bug make its way towards us. It stops and Bae get's out and then leans back to the window to say something to Emma. As he stands straight once more Emma drives off and he comes over to join us.

"Who is he?" Bae demands of us both and Dad looks to me then back to Bae.

"Who is who? Your sister only just got here to warn me of your coming to ask me something. She hasn't told me yet what this is all about son." Dad said calmly trying to gauge the situation he now found himself in.

"PAN!" Bae shouts and Dad now looks and faces me directly clearly shocked.

"You know." He states more than asks.

"I know." I state sadly as I nod and Dad sighs rolling his eyes. He then turns and starts for the house and I start to follow.

"Where are you going?" Bae demands not moving an inch.

"Inside son this is a tale we will both want to sit down for trust me." Dad calls back over his shoulder as he keeps walking. We all go inside and Mom having just put little me to bed rushes down stairs signaling us to keep quiet.

"Belle would you please make us some tea and bring it into us when it's done?" Dad asks removing his coat and Mom nods and goes to do just that. Dad then leads us into the sitting room and we both sit down but Bae remains standing and very agitated.

"So where should I begin then Monori?" Dad asks me wondering what I have already told him.

"Best start at the beginning because all I've told him is he doesn't know who Pan really is." I state letting him know that I have kept my promise of silence. He looks over to my brother who stands arms folded glaring at the both of us.

"Why don't you have a seat Bae?" Dad states more than offers but Bae shakes his head.

"No I don't want to sit. Why don't you just tell me what's really going on here Papa." Bae said icily. I sigh and then I flick my finger pulling the chair behind him forward into the back of his knees so that he falls into the chair. Bae goes to get up again so I push him back into the chair and this time he stays put but doesn't look to happy about it. I then nod to Dad giving him the floor.

"When we were on our way to break Henry out of Pan's fortress you asked me in Neverland what happened between Pan and I." Dad starts and be nods.

"You said Pan destroyed your father, but there seems to be more to it. Because Nori seems to think that even after he kidnapped my son and tried to manipulate him into killing himself...She says you are the one who has greatest claim on his life." Bae states and now Dad sees what had brought all this up as he glances at me and then looks back to Bae.

"Well I suppose she's right about that." Dad states sadly and I have to scoff.

"Oh you suppose do you? Dad if you had ever..." I start but he holds up his hand to stop me from breaking my promise.

"I would have greatest claim because I'm the one he has hurt the most by far son. He took Henry who is my grandson, he took you from me twice, he has tried to kill me multiple times and almost succeeded in his last attempt. All that makes him evil yes but knowing who he is makes those acts even worse son. You know that my father abandoned me. What you don't know is that he did it so that he could become a boy again. Peter Pan...Is my father." Dad said just as Mom walks in the room and she nearly drops the tea-tray. She quickly sets it down on the coffee table and then sits down next to Dad, seeking to comfort him with her presence. Bae's face has gone from angry to utter shock and his mouth keeps opening as if to speak but no words some out. Dad continues telling them the tale of how his father had become Pan, and when he finishes the room just falls deathly silent.

"Glad you're sitting down now aren't you?" I ask to break the awkward silence and they all look at me to see my slightly smug expression.

"Pan is...my...Grandfather?" Bae asks trying to wrap his mind around this and Dad nods.

"How could he...do all this?" Bae asks and Dad just looks down and shakes his head.

"Because he's a coward who loves only himself." I said coldly as I pour myself some tea. The room falls silent as Bae digests the information he has been given. I sip at my tea waiting for a few minutes for Bae to ask the questions that will most likely be coming. He sits there staring at our father knowing his pain all too well, but at the same time he also knows that our father at least tried to get him back. Dad had spent three lifetimes searching for him whereas Pan had done nothing but cause our father more and more pain.

"Do you understand now Bae?" I ask and he startles slightly at my voice before he looks over to me.

"How did you not just kill him if you knew this Nori? Because your right you were lenient in his punishment." Bae asks me astonished with my restraint and I look over to our father before I speak.

"Because I do not hold greatest claim on his life. Believe me I wanted to, but there was an alternate solution that would keep him neutralized so I had to take it. I did the worst I could to him short of killing him, and some would even say that death would be a better fate than staying where he is. I put him in the closest thing to hell I could think of because that's where he belongs. It may surprise you to know I could've taken him somewhere even worse but I don't think even he deserves to go there." I said and all three of them look at me surprised that I can get to a place that is worse than a small room perpetually on fire.

"And where's that?" Mom asks her curiosity getting the better of her.

"The netherworld that is home to the wraiths and shadows. Where souls captured by a wraith suffer in eternal misery and darkness. The being's of that world feed on the tortured souls misery until they become one with the darkness as well. Then they turn into shadows themselves and begin to feed as well. And before you ask, yes I have been there...twice...and I would never wish that place on anyone not even one so evil as Pan." I said and they all shudder slightly.

"I'll also admit though that I really do hope that one day Pan will change. But that might be because I inherited Mom's forgiving nature." I said with a small smile to Mom who returns one.

"Well Nori I'd say I have to agree that Papa should have the final say on this. I will tell Emma to call off the meeting because as far as I'm concerned Snow and David are wrong. Pan is exactly where he belongs until Papa decides otherwise." Bae said and Dad looks between us because we hadn't mentioned anything about a meeting about Pan before now to him.

"The Charming's and the rest of the council wanted to talk about other places to hold Pan or possibly even his execution. I said they could discuss it all they wanted but that anything they decided wouldn't matter. Because this as Bae now knows is family business which the royals can butt out of in my opinion." I explained and they all join me in my smirk at my last comment.

"That it is." Dad states with a nod. It's starting to get late now as we adjourn this family meeting and so Bae and I get ready to leave but not before Dad makes Bae swear not to tell anyone about Pan. Bae makes an argument that Henry and Emma have a right to know and Dad consents to his telling them, but not Henry until he is older and they must both also not tell anyone else. Bae heads home no doubt to talk with Emma. I say my goodbyes and poof back to my apartment where I'm surprised to see Warren is waiting for me.

~A/N~ So some people may have hated the whole Pan being Rumples father thing, but I personally loved it so yes as you see I'm including it.
