Sun of Asgard – Thor Odinson
I guess I should introduce myself a little, my name's Alaina Stark. Yes, I am related to the famous Tony Stark or Iron Man as he's known in the Avengers; he's my dad. I'm twenty years old and the complete opposite of my father. Whereas he's over pompous and loud, I'm extremely shy and quiet. I think I get that from my mother; I also have her blue eyes but received my dad's dark hair.
I had managed to find a quiet corner in Stark Tower and sat down with my favourite book in hand. I had only read a couple of chapters when I heard a loud commotion in the large living room, making me carefully fold the page corner before getting up and going to look what was going on. It was no surprise that I found my father messing around annoying the other people that were with him. It took a while to get used to his antics, believe me it took me nearly five years; then again he still manages to irritate me sometimes.
Pepper noticed me standing in the doorway and rolled her eyes with a smile, inclining her head towards my father, making me nod in understanding as I felt a small smile creep onto my face. My dad noticed me and I tried to shy away out of the room, but knew I had failed my mission when his hand enclosed around my wrist.
"Alaina! Join the party!" he grinned, pulling me further into the room despite my small protests.
"This ain't a party, you're just being annoying." Agent Barton remarked, grinning at me once my dad had managed to get me to join the group. I gave him a small smile back, he was the first Avenger I had met which was followed by Steve Rogers; Clint knew I needed my quiet space and respected that as much as he could whereas Steve was kinda like me and he was then one of my best friends.
"Who is this fair maiden?! She has the most beautiful blue eyes!" Thor, the God of Thunder's voice boomed loudly throughout the room. I felt myself blush and hid behind my fringe, feeling my dad's grip tighten slightly.
"Keep your hands off Thunder, she's my daughter."
"A creature so beautiful is related to you?"
Clint and Steve laughed and I found myself trying to supress and giggle from the look on my father's face. Pepper caught my eye and winked at me, making my blush darken. She knew I had a crush on the Asgardian God, but I would never openly admit it. I noticed my dad glance down at me before he did a double take, his face turning into one of shock.
"Oh God, please don't tell me what I'm thinking's true." He stated, making his partner Pepper laugh.
"Depends on what you're thinking Tony." She smiled, walking over and taking me from his grasp. "But I think you may be right." She laughed lightly with a wink before leading me back out the room. That's what I liked about Pepper; she could handle my father's antics in her stride as well as know when I need to get away from everyone.
She placed a kiss to my head before allowing me to wander off up onto the separate roof I had for my flower garden. I loved plants, that's why my dad let me build my own garden up here away from everything else. I always came up here when I needed space and when I wanted quiet time by myself.
I was checking up on the flowers I had been recently growing to make sure they were doing okay when I heard someone coming up through the doorway that led to my garden. Thinking it was my dad or Pepper I carried on doing what I was previously, but when no one spoke I took a glance up and nearly tripped over the flower bed as I saw it was Thor who was looking around with an expression of wonder on his face.
"This is amazing fair maiden, you did this all yourself?" He looked over at me as I tried to hide behind one of the bigger plants, but he was tall and could still see over the top of it.
"Yes." I replied quietly, realising that my attempt of hiding was no use. "And my name is Alaina."
"Alaina, a fitting name for a person as beautiful as you." He smiled, walking over and I found myself nearly being dwarfed by him. "You are quiet, unlike your father."
"I know, I prefer more tranquil environments like up here. That's why I built this garden." I smiled as I looked around; taking in the work I had done over the past few years.
"You remind me of the sun back on Asgard."
"How so?" I questioned, picking a couple dead leaves off my sunflowers.
"Your smile brightens your whole face; it is like someone turned the sun onto your face. You glow when you look at the flowers." I blushed and felt myself shrug lightly, making him chuckle. "You are a very interesting mortal, it appeals to me."
"Just make sure my father doesn't hear you say that." I smiled, still blushing while he laughed.
