Connor's POV
"Why should we even believe this nutjob!?" Clark asked. "Why did we believe you? Someone pops out of nowhere and claims that he's an alien? It's kind of hard to believe." Phoebe popped off.
"Will you two stop?" Piper asked. "Clark, can we talk?" Paige asked. First thing she's said since the two of us have been here.
"What? You can talk to me right here." Clark said. "In private. Please?" she asked. It was easy to tell that she was on the verge of tears. Clark looked over at me, "Keep a good eye on Chris, Kalic, and Ethan." I nodded and Paige touched his arm and they orbed out.
"Why's Kalic here anyways? He's been trying to kill Clark ever since he's moved here, and now they're all buddy buddy!" Phoebe exclaimed. "He doesn't have a real great judge of character." Chris popped off.
I couldn't take it anymore. I sped towards him and held him against the wall. "You will not speak about Clark like that. Got it!?" I growled.
He scoffed and orbed away from my grip. "You know, Ethan is much better at intimidation than you ever will be."
God I hate this kid.
Paige's POV
"Why do you have to be so stubborn!?" I yelled. Clark was silent.
I had orbed us to his office, and I'm pretty sure that everyone can hear us.
"Paige, things haven't been the same since Ethan's arrival. All we do is argue." Clark whispered. I felt my heart being ripped out of my chest as he said that.
"Clark…I didn't cheat on you…" I said as I choked back tears. "I believe you Paige. I'm just tired of fighting."
"Please…please don't leave me…" I cried as I hit my knees.
Kalic's POV
I walked through the hallway of the Halliwell manor, looking at the pictures hung on the wall. I noticed a picture of Piper, Phoebe, and the late sister. Prue.
I wonder what she would think of Paige being married to an alien.
I heard a small cry come from one of the bedrooms. I walked in and saw Wyatt asleep in his playpen, and Ethan wide awake in his bassinet. I smirked and looked down at the little half-breed.
"You know, you look exactly like your father did when he was your size. But, the difference is that you still have your parents. There he was, not that old and already parentless."
I bent down and picked him up. "You have people here to protect you with their lives."
I could hear footsteps coming up the stairs. "Put him down!" Connor snapped.
I conjured an athame. He sped for me.
He stopped and fell to the ground, the athame sticking out of his chest.
I looked down at Ethan. "But, I'll take them out. One by one. All the way to your father."
I touched Wyatt's playpin and shimmered away.
Connor's POV
I stared up at the ceiling, trying to stay awake. How was he able to stab me? Was it laced with kryptonite? Curse my half human side.
I lowered my hand and pulled the athame out. I coughed and winced in pain.
A tear slid down my cheek. My goal was to never fail the sisters or Clark.
"I'm sorry…" I whispered. I took a deep breath and yelled as loud as I could. "CLARK!"
Clark's POV
As Paige cried, I heard Connor yell my name. This isn't good. His heartbeat is getting weak.
I sped past Paige and to the manor.
I dropped to my knees as I looked down at Connor. I picked him up and cradled him in my arms as if he were Ethan.
"Connor? Wake up bud. Leo! LEO!" I yelled. Leo orbed into the room and rushed to Connor's side. He held his hands above the wound and I watched as it slowly healed.
"Why did it take so long for it to heal?" I asked Leo as I wiped my eyes. "He was almost dead. It's a good thing you got here when you did."
Connor was still unconscious, so I picked him up and laid him on the bed.
I knew who did this to him. Kalic.
I can't believe that I trusted him. My stupid mistake almost cost me my partner.
My brother.
"Clark, the boys are gone." Leo said. I turned around and saw that E's bassinet was empty and that Wyatt's playpin was gone.
"Leo, you stay here with Connor. Don't let the girls know about this. All I need is for you to orb me to the underworld." I commanded.
"I'll go with you." I heard a voice say from the doorway.
We looked in the direction and saw Chris.
"You wanna come with me? Why?" I asked.
"I'm a whitelighter. If you're down there by yourself and get hurt, you're screwed. You need me there to heal you."
Leo looked over at me. "He's right Clark."
I groaned. "Fine, but if you try anything, I'm sending your orbs straight to Timbuktu."
