Tess decides to get some advice before she talks to Daphne. She mentally runs through the schedule in her head, she knows where they will be, Tess heads to the station.

The ascent to the street from the subway triggers memories of Harvey and the subway ritual along with a sudden craving for Kona coffee. Tess looks at the station from the outside as she crosses the street. The longing hits like a wave, she has not been here since the fire. The bay doors are open and her approach does not go unnoticed.

Tess barely gets to the door as she is swept up into Roxie's arms. "OB1 is back, return of the Jedi."

Roxie throws Tess over his shoulder like a rag doll before proceeding to walk her inside. Roxie ceremoniously deposits Tess in the middle of the kitchen. Tess is thrilled that her boys are on shift though she was unprepared to deal with her longing to be back at work.

The familiar smell of the place surrounds her. It is the smell of smoke that permeates everything, she has missed it so. Tess had never been away this long. She breathes it in like a meditation and an inspiration. She wants back in more than ever.

She has seen the boys at the bar but this is her first venture back to the house. She is already glad she came. She is regaled with the latest gossip. She brought a gift with her for Oneski's new baby. It feels good to be home. It makes her feel normal again.

Face has figured out that Tess' visit had another purpose. As the shock and surprise of her visit fades a bit, Face walks Tess to into the bay for some privacy. "So what is rattling that brain of yours?" He leans up against the truck.

Tess survey's Face closely. Face has always been close to both her and Nate. If anyone would know, Face would know. "So when did Nate start sleeping with Daphne?"

Tess knows the current level of shock registering on Face is enough. Nate was not advertising or broadcasting his indiscretions. Her brother is keeping secrets.

"Tessie, are you sure?" Tess knows that Face didn't know. Face still has the flabbergasted look on his face as he questions her.

"Yeah, pretty damn sure." Tess plans to drop the subject immediately but Face has other plans for this conversation. He is not going to let Tess just walk away after dropping two bombs like that.

Face corners Tess about how she knows this with such certainty. They walk out into the sunlight taking up a position leaning against the bricks. Tess had almost forgotten how good the sun warmed bricks felt against weary bones. Tess opens up and tells Face about what she found and about Harvey. Face stops her mid-sentence. "Whoa there… the lawyer is back?" Face is the first person to say it like it is a good thing which kind of surprises Tess.

"Tess, be careful but I am glad… just don't put up with any bullshit." Face gives her a kiss on the forehead. Tess looks down at her phone. She has been saved by the bell as a text from Harvey lights on her phone. Tess returns the text to Harvey to tell him that she is at the station. Harvey had swung through the office after talking with Donna and is close by. The plans that Harvey originally had planned for the evening change as Tess offers to walk over to the office.

"Romeo?" Face knows the look that is on Tess' face. The old look is back and he really likes seeing it again. The lawyer may have pulled some douche like moves on Tess but he also made her smile like this and it was been too long since he has seen this kind of smile on her face. Ironically, Face completely understands Harvey Specter. Aside from the money and power, they are a lot a like.

Tess says her goodbyes and heads to meet Harvey with Face on her mind. Face is a player and he has been the only person so far who trusts her gut about Harvey. Tess smiles again with the joke that perhaps Face is her moral compass.

Tess walks over to the firm and heads to Harvey's office. She exits the elevators to the usual déjà vu that seems to blanket the space. She walks down the hall with the memory of walking to Jessica's office to talk to her about source of the fire. She now has context on the lost night with Donna at Frannie's concert. She really likes Harvey's world.

She instinctively knows her way to Harvey's office. As she enters his office, she realizes that she never really got a good look at it before. It is a rather unique space in the same metal and glass look of his apartment.

As she walks in Harvey is on the phone. She smiles and takes in his massive record collection that lines the wall.

Harvey hangs up the phone as he watches Tess running her fingers over the titles. He walks up behind her wrapping his arms around her waist. "Duran Duran?" She gives him a coy look over her shoulder.

"That is a classic. Do not dis second British invasion." He kisses Tess' neck as she turns into him with a kiss for a greeting. Harvey is taken back by her kiss. It is the same warm soft kiss that runs through him top to bottom. No one has done this to him before, except maybe that first night with Donna, yet, Tess does it again and again.

Tess looks up with a smile. "I could get really use to that." She taps Harvey on the lips. In his head, he agrees with her completely.

His casual dress from running into the office coupled with her casual attire from the station has altered his plans for the evening. He racks his brain for a quick alternative plan. "So what would you like to do?"

Tess gives him a wicked look. "You trust me?" Harvey gives her a side eye so far Tess has never steered him wrong with that phrase. "Give Ray the night off."

Harvey loves the look in Tess' eyes as he texts Ray. "Grab your jacket, we are going native on this. It is time to get in touch with your roots, Mr. Specter." Tess traces a line on Harvey's lips that ends with a smile.

From the firm, the pair heads to the subway. Tess swipes her Metro card for the both of them as they head to the train. Harvey had forgotten what this was like. This night is already taking him back to simpler times. They change trains as they head into the heart of the city. Tess leads him into a swanky dive Jazz club. It is the type of place is father played in and that is a happy memory that Harvey savors as they take a table and settle into drinks and music.

Harvey thinks back as to how his father would love this place. He glances over at Tess as she listens to the music, his father would have liked her too. Tess listens to music the way she looks at art. She experiences the things she loves on a deeper level than most, it is a level of passion.

Tess is so very much like his mother when she was young. Though there are painful memories, there are also memories of when is father practiced and his mother would listen to him play. His mother had the same look on her face.

The band begins to play a slower number. Tess hops down off of her stool. "Dance with me, Harvey." Tess pulls Harvey from the stool as she guides him to the dance floor. Tess wraps her arms around Harvey's neck as they sway to the music. At this moment, there is nowhere else he would rather be.
