The Color of Hope: Chapter 55: Silent Admiration

"Haven't done enough for one night, huh?" Inuyasha's voice cut harshly through the dragon's internal debate.

Redirecting his wandering thoughts, Ryutakami focused on the silver-haired halfling once more. It was fascinating, in a way, to watch the young man's visage change from confusion, to resolute determination, and back again in a matter of seconds. Inuyasha's desire to protect his woman was evident, and the dragon found the proof of the hanyou's devotion admirable.

"I told you, lizard breath, ain't you or anyone else takin' what's mine," he snarled, his fingers closing around Tetsusaiga's hilt.

"You've made that abundantly clear, yes," Ryutakami agreed. "But, like it or not, we'll be getting to know each other pretty well."
