Lord Joyde: Heylo, Everyone!

How are you all doing? Me? Well I'm still shitty as hell.

I can tell all of you that this chapter is most likely the hardest one I've ever had to type down...

I don't really know why, it just is. Maybe because its been so long in the making that I'm no longer sure of all that I wanted it to possess? Could be...

Anyways, enough of my bullshit, lets get on with the story!

Don't mind me guys and girls! I'm just a line break...

From The Eve of the Battle onwards... – In front of the city Palace – Henrietta's Point of View...

I finally managed to get my mother off me and successfully imitate a cripple while walking out of my bloody palace at the same time, my trusty elven body-holder Rawen, walking alongside me, still quite shocked at the events which had happened previously.

As I walk out of the Palace, I am greeted by the stares of a good couple thousand people. Men, women and children. Orcs, elves and humans... and no, those lineups weren't on purpose.

All here, looking at me, with equal amounts of worry, fear and expectancy.

This, my friends, is the burden of a ruler, nay, a Regis.

Stephen, a guard captain within the city, approaches me with a speedy pace and kneels in front of me.

"My Queen! The citizens are all accounted for, what are your further orders?" He asks, panic seeping into his voice as a thousand eyes watch me with fear filling them.

Meh, they're quiet, at the very least. I let out a tired sigh and then reopen my eyes, which I didn't even notice I closed, once more with a fury I just knew was induced.

I look at the shaking knight and take in a breath."Assemble two squadrons of your best men... or those amongst you who are heroic enough to give their lives so that the rest may live to see another day..."

I stop to take a look at the soldiers kneeling in front of me."As for the rest of you..." I take another breath to stop myself from saying, get out of my sight."Your commanding officer is King Torres of Germania, you are to do as he tells you to. AM I CLEAR?"

"Yes, Your Highness!" They echo in unison and I smile once more. Stephen looks at me, a flabbergasted look in his eyes.

"B-but, m-my queen? What about you?!" He asks with fear lacing his cracking voice. Gee, what a worm.

I laugh and spit out a bit of blood onto the ground in the process."Well, someone has to go and direct the front line." I say, making many of the people around me give out gasps.

Without a word, a dozen knights, around seventy of them, approach me with grins. One of them, an elite wearing ebony plate armor, smiles at me and says."Eh, there's a bloody legion of enemies out there... might as well go out in a blaze of glory. Am I right, Your Highness?"

The others chuckle and I can't help but do the same as a cruel silence permeates the area. I take one last look at my palace just in time to see a Romalian White Drake get impaled upon one of its spires, quite possibly downed by a lightning bolt from a blood-thirsty Templar.

I smile and turn around, my face twisting into a blood-thirsty grin as I cast a spell to heal my wounds.

Zail's blood gave me blood magic, oh how wonderful it feels to have your blood filled to the brim with magical energies.

My wounds disappear in seconds as the soldiers own startled faces soon turn bloodthirsty as the adrenaline of anticipation takes over their mind and thus, their fears.

With a startled gasp, Rawen lets go of me and I look to the skies as the sound of thunder grows to strongly that it hurts my ears. I bear witness to a thousand beasts, raging from dragons to griffons, tearing each other apart in the skies, pieces of flesh and blood dripping onto my city.

"Your Highness! We have succeeded in paving the way to the square!" A Shaper comes running towards me and I grin again, turning my head to my gathered soldiers.

Elven knights, Tristain's royal guard, several adventurers, Orcish shamans and warriors all looking at me expectantly.

I laugh and refocus myself."Very well my soldiers... I hope you've said farewell to your families and your fears, for now its time... For War."

I turn around to the steel gates and hear the men and women give out a cheer behind me.

Not even a few steps outside the palace interior and already I can feel the quaking cobblestone, as legions upon legions march unto my city...

I will break every single one of them before they even realize their mistake.

From The Eve of the Battle onwards – Center of the Inferno – Neltharion's point of view.

I find myself descending upon a burned stone, transforming back into a human form to get a better look at my surroundings...

I see thousands, nay countless numbers of rage-infused fire beasts and elementals, forming an inferno of pure and unrelenting anger, ready to tear the lands and everything in them a new one..

I approach a curious duo who seemed to be at the epicenter of the blazing vortex.

A small spider with a charred black carapace, with magmatic blood flowing beneath, a creature much like myself. And there, alongside the spider, stood a wounded fire-no, a Magma Elemental.. they seemed to be channeling some form of calming spell upon a strange glowing crystal..

Once my eyes finally caught the crystal.. I couldn't defend myself from the sheer disbelief and horror as I realized that the situation we are all in was much worse than I had originally thought.

The few fire elementals who weren't yet consumed by rage, quickly joined the duo in calming Louise's shattered heart, in a worthy effort to contain its Ceaseless Discharge.

A worthy effort... but... futile. I shake myself out of my thoughts and quickly join the fray, my own mind laughing at me as the shadows of my memory make clear the irony of my actions.

Not all that long ago, I had brought a world its knees and broke it apart in flame... And now, I am about to do my best someone else does not do the same.

Grinning, I extend an open-palmed arm and focus on feeding their spell with all of my quite considerable power. The elemental and the spider are closer to me now, finally in recognizable distance.

The spider, Lilith smirks at me."G-g-glad t-to h-h-have y-you b-by our s-s-s-side, L-l-lord N-N-Neltharion."

Her spider lisp makes her unbearably cute."Glad to see you are still alive, Spider Queen." I tell her with a small smirk of my own before turning towards the wounded elemental.

I notice that the hole in his chest is a wound drowned in shadows... One that won't heal easily.

He noticed my staring and spoke."I... I tried to save her.. but the void mage blew a hole into my chest for it."

Her? He tried to save Louise?"You tried to save Louise?" I ask of him, a bit confused as to why.

He nods."Y-yes. Louise.. the one you refer to as The Phoenix. She is my kindred... but I was not strong enough to save her from the void-king..."

Kindred? Well that explains a lot. A kindred is a mortal being whose soul well synchronized with that of an elemental one... but Louise is a Phoenix, already on her way to becoming an elemental being of fire herself, she shouldn't really have such a synchronization with anyone..

I take a long look onto the Magma Elemental in question."What is your name, elemental?"

He stops channeling the spell, taking a rest as he focuses on drawing heat from his surroundings in order to heal himself. Both stone and flame enter the area of his wound and he manages to heal himself, although falling down in exhaustion after wards.

He sits onto a stone and looks at me with weary eyes."I.. I am Phyrus. The previous elemental guardian of Mount Olympus, before Avelyne came from below and devoured me, alongside many others."

He breathes in deep, which aids further his recovery speed."When I saw Louise ascend to the mountain, I knew instantaneously that she was my Kindred.. but she was not an elf which meant that I wouldn't be able to converse with her until our synchronization rate grew."

He stands up and rejoins casting the spell with us."When Avelyne mated with Louise, she also realized that Louise and I were Kindred, so she transferred my essence into her, allowing me to be reborn again." I nod. This is something that was regularly done on Azeroth as well. A shaman would bind an elemental to itself and that particular elemental could not truly die until the shaman did. Granted, for that to even happen, the two not only needed to be Kindred, but also great friends... I suppose he wasn't only reborn, but also reshaped, considering that he's made out of Magma and not just fire.

"From that point onwards, I followed after Louise, aiding her whenever I can, but I could only appear within the Physical realm momentarily of my own will. The only reason I can be here for an extended period now is because Louise's essence is everywhere." I nod again, that is true. An elemental cannot exist within Physical reality if they don't have enough essence to bind themselves onto.

To become a guardian spirit of an area means literally drenching said area with your essence before entering it in the Physical world.

A sudden blast shakes me from my thoughts as we all focus on the Destabilized Heart of Blaze.. a single crack forms into its form and I close my eyes waiting for the inevitable. The explosion will happen, but it will be dulled and with a much lower radius.

The blast hits me with the force of an exploding sun and I feel myself being launched across Halkeginia.

A part of me laughs ironically and I can't help myself but say."Oh boy... here we go again..."

Sometime after – The City Center – Henrietta's Point of View...

A resounding splatter is heard as I pull my Royal Saber out of a fallen enemy soldier, his pieced lungs bursting out blood as he falls onto the ground with a pained scream.

I turn around to my soldiers to see that I've only lost two so far and smile."Well done, soldiers."

I say that with pride as they all focus on me and salute, but as I was about to continue, a grand blast of fire erupts from seemingly nowhere, drenching the area with Louise's essence... And the overwhelming heat that usually comes with her spells.

"TAKE COWER!" I yell out at the top of my lungs capability, as the flames expand onwards.

Soon, the explosion subsides and we leave our cover. A few people are burned severely, but nobody died. My instincts make me focus onto the skies and I see a deep orange shard soaring thru the air in the direction of the Royal Palace.

"Forget about the shard for now, Henrietta. I will take care of it." The deep, fatherly voice of Zeus fills my thoughts and I nod seemingly to nobody as I turn my sight back onto the city.

… To find that a whole city block has been decimated. The Old District has been wiped from the map, leaving a burning crater and an open side for the enemy to attack.

Shit. This is bad. I turn around to my soldiers and yell out my orders."Shapers! Shamans! Anyone who can use earth magic or alchemy! Use your powers to forge us a defensive cover to compensate for the lost district!"

Turning around to Zail."Zail, once you and your men are done making me that cover, I want you on the front lines, divide yourselves into groups of ten people and spread out to each pathway connecting to the town center!"

"Yes, Your Highness!" The Shapers jointly yelled out alongside the shamans and some elven earth mages, all running to their respective positions.

I then turn towards the rooftops of the nearby buildings."I want as many archers spread evenly on top of those buildings. Agnes, I entrust you to do the math!"

She salutes me with a silent nod and jumps onto the roof of a nearby house."Anyone who is good at defense should stick with me to the middle. Make a square formations surrounding the Fountain and do not let ANYONE through, am I clear?!"

"Yes, Your Majesty!" The soldiers, elves, orcs and humans alike, do as they are told and form a protective square around me as I walk towards fountain.

Once there, I issue a final order."Every group of archers should have a few close-combat specialists constantly keeping an eye on their status, so make sure you aid one if you see an ally in need."

A few nods come from the orcish berserkers and my Royal Knights who all usually bore great weaponry, such as The Ultra Great-swords and Great Axes.

Turning my focus onto the fountain, I slice open my left palm and let my essence-fed blood seep into its waters.

A strike of thunder is heard in the distance as the first droplet contacts the water and a massive spike of energy, both mana and essence alike, bursts forth from the fountain.

According to Zeus, all I have to do is continuously channel the spell for as long as I possibly could and he would do the rest... I just hope that as long as I possibly could isn't long...

For the legions of my enemies have already begun their march into my city.
