"Come in," Snape said, his patience wearing thin.

The door opened, and in stepped someone Snape hadn't seen for a few years. He had white-blond hair that was pulled back into a ponytail and pale gray eyes that were so much like Scorpius's.

Lucius Malfoy nodded his head towards Snape. "Hello, Severus. I believe there is something I would like to discuss with you." His eyes roamed over Lily with disdain before saying, "In private."

Lily looked at Lucius with an equal amount of disdain before stalking out of the room and slamming the door behind her.

"These Weasley children never seem to quite master how to control their tempers, do they?" Lucius asked.

"I quite agree. And it certainly doesn't help that that one is also half Potter."

Lucius raised an eyebrow. "So that was the Potter girl, was it?" he said with mild interest. "But that is beside the point. I would like to discuss a matter with you concerning my grandson."

"Very well. How may I be of assistance?"

"As you know, Scorpius thinks very highly of you. I think if you were to speak to him, you would be able to perhaps convince him to be more...forthcoming...in telling us what he has been up to."

Feeling puzzled, Snape asked, "What has led you to believe he has been up to something?"

Grimly, Lucius replied, "Over the holiday break, him and his parents stayed at the manor with Narcissa and I. And we noticed him constantly leaving, claiming to be visiting his friends. However, conversations with his friends' parents have led us to believe that he never actually did visit any of them. When questioned, he simply finds nonsensical excuse after nonsensical excuse to make in order to save his skin."

Well, that was strange, especially considering Scorpius never did anything his family disapproved of. "I will see what I can do. I will try to arrange for him to floo here and speak to me," Snape promised.

Once Lucius had thanked him and left, Snape sighed in frustration. Now he had to not only deal with Gryffindor brats currently attending Hogwarts, but cunning Slytherins who had already graduated and were only now starting to cause real trouble.
