Chapter 54
...
Silversun turned and his optics widened. He looked to Ultracia, then back to the Predacon attacking Maximum.
Ultracia could have serious injuries in the chest cavity that could end up a problem later if he didn't treat it now, but that Predacon had Maximum cornered and...his sparkling…..
Ooh my, tough decision! Save your pretty whore who is carrying your spawn or stay and help this little glitch….
"Rrrrr! Shut up, shut up, SHUT UP!" Silversun grabbed his helm, a strange buzzing sensation forming, even as he tried to keep his mind clear.
Ultracia stiffened, before lifting her helm to look at her friend worriedly. There….was a dark presence around him as he grabbed his helm and yelled at an unknown figure. She felt a sudden revulsion towards that presence, as she sat up on the ice slowly and narrowed her optics at him.
"Silversun?" she said softly.
He growled, clutching his helm harder, his wings pointed straight in the air, before he growled and shook his helm wildly as if trying to get something out of there.
What was happening to him?
…
Maximum shuttered his optics as his vision stared to become slightly blurry. His sparklings emotions overwhelmed his spark, his jaw and back hurt and he was in a sort of daze as the large figure prepared to strike down on him.
He off-lined his optics, taking in uneven intakes, a glowing light could be seen forming above him…...
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!"
A blur of red and blue swept past his vision, and suddenly there was only the calming white of the gibbous moon. He placed his servos over his abdomen instinctively, turning over on to his side in a protective position.
Safe. Keep sparklings safe….safe…..
…..
He had come down from the edge. He had driven right off and transformed mid-air before landing on this strange mech who was about to strike Maximum in a weakened state no less!
The two mechs went crashing across the surface of the ice growling, shouting and screech like roars sounding as they tried to get the upper hand over each other. He dodged the talon like digits aimed for his face plates that ended up hitting the hard, cold surface beneath Magnus' helm. He kicked the mech's gut before flipping their positions. He grabbed his throat with one servo, pinning him back, only for the beastly mech to shove his hand into his face in order to distract him. Magnus hissed and growled as he struggled to retain his position. He turned his helm and bit into one of the digits. Hard.
"RRRRRAAAAAGH! You fragger!"
Magnus punched the mech in the face plates.
….
Shrapnel jumped over the rock cover and made a bee line for Maximum, since Magnus was distracting the Predacon and Silversun…Silversun was acting weird as Ultracia was trying to snap him out of his current fix.
She slid in beside her friend, gently taking Maximum's shoulders in her clawed servos and giving a light shake, "Max? Max you okay? Maxi!"
"Hmmm…." Maximum replied, lifting his helm up slightly to look at her, "Lady Bug….?"
Shrapnel grinned in slight relief, "The one and only, elf-bot."
…..
Ultracia snapped her helm in her brother's direction, and she calmed down a little when she saw Shrapnel attending to him, whilst Silversun was now sitting on the ground, clutching his helm and shaking. The Predacon femme remained where she was in case he needed help and the fact that she was uneasy about leaving the young mech on his own during the state he was in now. Then she turned to where she heard the Predacon roaring and screeching as Magnus gave him a beating.
Her optics widened and dilated slightly at the fists punching the dragon mech into the icy surface of the frozen river, courtesy of Ultracia's ice blaster. Her spark was beating at a faster pace and she grit her fangs angrily at the sight.
A sudden fluid energy ran through her…..Strong…Ancient….
Enraged.
It was almost like she had been taken over by a strange force, as she ran at the sparring mechs, wings open, fangs bared and optics narrowed to bright green slits as she grabbed one of Magnus' fists and threw him towards Silversun.
High-pitched screeching was heard as the larger mech's pedes scraped against the hard surface, his optics glaring at her.
Ultracia glared back, her wings closed back and claws at the ready.
"…M-My Mistress….."
The femme shuttered her optics, before she turned to the mech behind her. He had dents in his face plates from Magnus' left and right hooks and he was shaking as he attempted to get up on his two pedes. She took his arm and let him use her shoulders as support when he did get on his pedes.
"Are you all right…?" she said softly.
He gave a shaky grin of fangs at her, his yellow optics soft—so different from the angered amber to which he had showed her earlier—and relaxed, "I….I have…..good…endurance….my Mistress…."
Ultracia gave a smile, ignoring that title he gave her, "Good."
Magnus lifted up his cannons, aimed for the two Predacons. Just one shot from each and it would be over quickly….
"Magnus, NO! One of them is a friendly!"
He snapped his helm in the direction of the shout and almost had a spark attack when Maximum came limping towards him across the ice. Shrapnel followed close behind, her visor dimmed as she tried to keep her friend from slipping on his pedes.
A surge of sudden need to grab the young mech and hold him as close to him as possible swept through the older mech and before he realized it, he was already running towards Maximum. He held the mech almost too tightly against his chest plating, his entire frame shaking as he felt Maximum go completely still and tense in his arms.
Immediately, the sire sent loving pulses over the bond between himself and his creation, an act of instinct as he felt the smaller mech, the carrier begin to slowly return the embrace…..the carrier….
MY carrier…, a more primal and beastly part of him—most likely basic programming found in all mechs and femmes about to become creators—possessively corrected.
Maximum curled up slightly when he felt his children's response to one of their father's so close….it left him….relieved….and happy….and…..safe…
Especially safe.
Shrapnel stopped, panting a moment, before she stared at Maximum and Magnus. The femme Insecticon then looked to where Silversun was slowly standing up with a servo pressed to his helm. She looked at Maximum and Magnus, then at Silversun, before she did a back and forth take. The femme gave a soft gasp, before she scuttled over to Silversun to block his view.
"Nothing to see here Silv!" she squeaked softly to the flier, while her arms out to block the view.
Silversun shuttered his optics, before he gave her a quirked optic ridge, "Shrapnel, what….?"
Ultracia cleared her throat loudly, Predaking still leaning on her and catching the attention of everyone else.
Magnus tensed, but before he could so much as lift a finger, Maximum grabbed his wrist in a vice grip as a warning to not try anything hostile.
"That femme there, the one you almost shot? She is my sister Magnus, the one who had been in the chrysalis," the young mech explained, his tone surprisingly calm as he explained as clearly as he could, "I don't know how she found us, or what she wants with that Predacon, but I believed it is in our best interest to return with them, intact and alive."
"WHAT?!"
How the young Prime kept himself from rolling his optics as Silversun, was a mystery to him.
…
Megatron tapped his digits against his arm, as he tapped his pede impatiently as he glared at Tarantulas seated beside Shockwave. Optimus was beside the silver flier, a servo over his abdomen where his t-cog was. No, it was not broken, but it still hurt like a glitch. His expression would match the significance of a mighty storm cloud as he gazed upon the two scientists.
The floor was still covered in the goop, some of it staining the pedes of the four mechs.
The chrysalis' remains were still in their spot, but had dried somewhat through the commotion. Ratchet was grumbling as he had to go get cleaning supplies to get this mess cleaned up as he began using the broom to mop up any and all the green slime on the floor of his med. bay.
Prime clasped his servos together, before pressing them to his helm as he used his two pointer-digits to rub at the crest of his helm as he sat there.
"So. You mean to tell me," he started calmly, with a stoic expression to match Prowl's, "that my daughter has awakened from her coma like state within the chrysalis."
The two scientists nodded. Well, Tarantulas did, Shockwave simply flicked his antennae in annoyance at his bond-mate's stupidity. How did one fall into recharge through something as colossal as a Cybertronian emerging from a chrysalis in a new from that none have seen before?
Prime continued, optic shutters closed, "and now she could be loose somewhere and most likely without the proper alt. mode to camouflage herself and there's a possibility of her being caught by humans who are oblivious to our presence."
"Y-yes sir…"
"Well….in that case….."
BAM!
Megatron didn't even flinch with Prime's servos slammed on to the med, berth he was on, his optics simply gave off a glint to the startled Tarantulas.
"Give me one good excuse not to have you thrown away in the brig for the next human millennia for your carelessness!"
A whine escaped the spider mech, wondering what he had done to make Primus mad at him.
….
Silverbell sighed as she entered the top of the roof, her door wings dropped down almost pressed to her back as she let her pedes scrape against the ground. She felt like her spark was getting heavier and heavier as time went by without her sister beside her.
She wondered if that was what it felt like for Moonracer and Arcee when one of them had been separated from the other for centuries and when they have to go somewhere on the other side of the world for scouting….Even when her sister was so close, she felt…numb and closed off from her. It….hurt that she couldn't sense that comforting pulse. As long as they were within distance, as long as she felt her twin's spark, she was fine, but now? With all these…..these visions she's been having, her parents busy hunting down the creature and Maximum's current predicament….she felt cold. Afraid….
Why did Ultracia have to be the one injected with the Predacon's venom? Why was she the one trapped inside a coma like state, and what had she ever done to deserve that?!
As the young femme sat down slowly on the rocky ground, she nearly jumped up high enough to impress Starscream.
Her spark had given a flare within its casing, a hard pulse that felt like it was coming from an outside force. She placed her servo over her chest plates, her doorwings flickering as light as a butterfly's wings.
What….?
More pulses were sent through to her spark, a servo instinctively going over his chest plating where her spark was. It wasn't her parents, or he older brother. The creator-creation bond was strong, as well as the co-creation, but this? This one…
Fwumph! Fwumph! Fwumph!
What was that noise? It sounded like the beating of wings against air, only it was louder and a bit slower. Like there was something large coming towards her. She turned to see if it was behind it, then to the side of before making a full circle look around. What was making that…?!
"Hey Bell!"
She gave off a squeak; her door wings rose up and pointed out at the sides from the sudden yell of her nickname. Silverbell shuttered her optics in surprise to hear her brother, but could not see him.
"Maxi? Where are you?" she called to him, standing up to see him.
"Up here Silverbell."
She looked upwards. And nearly had a spark attack.
Maximum grinned and waved down at her from his perch on the large black and green dragon he was on, and Silversun and Magnus were on the back of a black, orange and gold one though neither one was happy. Shrapnel was hovering between the two, flittering through. The femme was in shock as she continued to stare at him, her optic twitching. The dragon—the Predacon no doubt—put its claw like feet out and landed in front of her.
She stared in awe at the large creatures, as her carrying brother slid off. She couldn't help it. She had never seen Cybertronians like this before in her life and it amazed her how beastly majestic they were, their heads and bat like wings held high.
"Maxi, what—?!" she gasped when she felt the pulses again, stronger than the last time.
She shuttered her optics and looked around frantically. It felt like her bond with her twin the strongest of the family bonds she had. But if it was her twin who was doing this….then that means...
The green and black Predacon suddenly transformed before her and revealed a femme towering over her with large wings of ebony gleaming from the soft moonlight. Silverbell gaped, her optics wide in shock. Predacons could transform?!
The femme looked her right in the optics, before another strong pulse was sent her way. Silverbell continued to stare, but she found herself walking towards the larger femme. She felt her spark pulsing faster and faster as she grew closer.
Maximum watched, a small smile forming on his face plates, as Silversun came up next to him. The silver flier looked between the two femmes, tensed. What if Silverbell did recognize her sister? What if she attacked her? He readied himself to intervene at any signs of aggression.
Silverbell stared for the longest moment as the Predacon knelt in front of her so they were more on an equal level. The giant femme smile, her green optics gleaming in happiness that only Silverbell recognized…..
"….Ultracia?" she whispered, feeling like her spark was nearly leaping out her throat.
The dragon femme smiled wider, "Hey Bella."
Relief and joy flooded through the smaller femme as she fell forwards against her twin, her spark flaring as she listened to the other half of it.
Silversun relaxed his body, glad that he didn't have to fight anyone now, although he still did not trust the Predacon mech, not in the least and his distaste for Ultra Magnus was starting to weigh on his patience. But right now, he was just glad Maxi and the unborn sparklings were safe. He looked at Maximum from the corners of his optics and felt his spark give a small leap in its casing. Maybe he could sneak his servo into holding Maxi's without it looking awkward….
He moved his digits slowly towards the other mech's servo and when his pinky made contact with Maximum's pointer, he attempted to coax it in while he was not looking and….
Maximum took a few steps forwards before Silversun could even try as Shrapnel and Ultra Magnus came over to stand with them. The silver flier's wings rose slightly as he attempted to keep himself from glaring at the older mech and he felt his energon boil when the Predacon mech transformed and stood off to the side to watch the reunion of the twin sisters. He felt hurt in his spark though as when Maximum unknowingly refused him.
"So….how are we going to explain this to Prime?"
Everyone shuttered their optics and looked at Shrapnel, who was still looking ahead.
Maximum sighed, thinking a moment, "…meh."
He shrugged.
...
Mother Primus on a pogo-stick, I'm sorry for the late update. Primus, I went into a bit of a funk after the "Deadlock" episode and my muse was just at a low...I mean...I'm happy Bumblebee got his voice back...but...AAAAAH! MEGATRON NOOOO!
I'm really sorry guys, will try to have more chapters next weekend. Love you all. Please forgive me.
I would like at least two reviews before the next chapter.
